The Future Church podcast is a conversation to help church leaders reimagine how we can best equip our churches to be places where deep discipleship occurs. Each month we will hear a conversation that will help us on discipleship, leadership and mission that will help equip you as you lead in your church.
Today on the podcast, I sit down with Pat Sczebel to talk about the role our Sunday Liturgy plays in discipleship. Pat is a worship pastor at Midtown church in Vancouver, BC. He has pastored for 32 years. He has been married to his best friend for 34 years. He has eight children and four grandchildren. Pat is a leader who has carefully thought through the role of liturgy and discipleship, and it comes out in our conversation.

Ben Connelly joins us today on the podcast to talk about discipleship, community, and mission. Ben is a pastor, author, equipped and an occasional professor. He is honoured to serve everyday disciples, ministry leaders, and church planters across the world through The Equipping Group and to help lead Salt+Light Community and Plant Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX.
Ben has written/contributed to several books, workbooks, articles, and publications, has overseen church planting efforts for multiple organizations, and has also taught university and seminary classes. He and Jess have three children (Charlotte, Maggie, and Travis) and at times, host short-term foster kids too.

In Today's Episode, Mick Panko joins us to chat about how Churches and Parachurch organizations can work together to see disciples made. Mick serves as a lay leader at The Compass West Church in Regina Sk, and he also volunteers with Athletes in Action. This organization is dedicated to developing the total athlete. Through the integration of faith, life, and sport, we aim to see athletes engage with the Christian faith in Canada and the world.

Jodi currently serves as Pastor of Children's Ministries at Forest Grove Community Church in Saskatoon.
