Real. Relevant. Relaxed. Welcome to Not the Worst Pastors Podcast, with Matt Coyne and his friend, James Gomez: two ordinary pastors who take their vocations seriously, but themselves...not so much. Matt and James are friends who came together 5 years ago in a small town, serving 2 different congregations in 2 different roles. From that friendship, this podcast was born with the hopes of helping each other and our listeners to walk through Christian life together. "We are going to be talking about some hard subjects like abortion and politics, and how to handle these from a Biblical perspective, but we are also going to talk about the less mainstream challenges of Christian life like Harry Potter and magic, and shopping at stores who have a platform that supports lifestyles we disagree with. We'll cover it all from our imperfect view points, processing it together, hoping to come out on the other side of the conversation as better listeners and better followers of Jesus Christ."

Matt was able to visit the Amish community yesterday (March 21st), and not only did he begin to build relationships, but he also learned some new things about how they live that he didn't know before! For example, their refrigerators are all powered by natural gas, and their lighting is powered by natural gas, which also throws out a lot of heat in the process!

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

Welp, we thought we were going to continue our conversation with youth ministry, but the topic stayed on Vacation Bible School and the importance of discipleship in the home! We even talk about family mission statements and family passages.
