Unpopular opinion: Having more is having less; less time and energy for what you were called to do--live simply and freely.
Benefits of minimalism:
β Tidying up a room is easier because the less you have the less you have to clean up
β Laundry days are a breeze
β You save money over time
β Your home looks put together and has aesthetic
β It can improve your sense of well-being
β You begin to live out Philippians 4:11--learning to be content with what you have, thereby increasing your self-satisfaction
β You can focus more on your hobbies, spouse, and children
β€» Tip: Better quality possessions should make it easier to decrease your items' quantity. Let this be your focal point when deciding what to buy, keep, or toss.

I just had to hop on and say hello and give a few updates. I also included a tiny inspirational message (because who would I be if I didn't squeeze in a dash of a word?! π ). I love you so dearly and I'll tty soon enough.
How to determine if you need rest:
π± You're extremely tired all the time, lacking the energy to carry on
π± You're irritated, aggravated, and/or stressed out way too often
π± Your prayer life is lifeless
π± You feel disconnected from God
π± You've fallen back into your old ways and bad habits
π± You're feeling depressed and anxious
These are just to name a few, but feel free to expand this list and see where you fit! Rest may be what you've been needing for a while and you didn't know it.

Today's episode is an insight into the number 2. Now, 22 and 222 do not carry additional meanings outside of the number 2. They are just 2 on repeat. When God shows or speaks something twice, it's to get your attention. When He reveals it 3 times, it's to magnify that idea--call it total confirmation. Science says our brains find pleasure in patterns, and 3 is the minimum amount of times it takes to create a pattern. Think of it this way: If you hear or see something once, it could have just been a coincidence. If you hear or see it twice, you take note of it. By the third time, your brain locks it in! So, come along as I give you biblical revelation into this number that I've been seeing on clocks, signs, tags, etc. since last year!
Btw, here are a few more references of 2 that I forgot to mention on the podcast:
- God restores to Job twice as much as he had before
- Elisha gets a double portion anointing from Elijah
- The disciples see Christ transfigured on the mountain in all His glory before they see Him disfigured on the cross π
- Revelation chapter 22 is the very last chapter of the Bible as the Tav is the 22nd and very last letter of the Hebrew alphabet (Just emphasizing this one!)
- Light is mentioned 22 times in the gospel of John, and on the 22nd time it's mentioned, Jesus says, "I have come as a light into the world (John 12:46)
- While on the cross, the Lord cites Psalms 22:1 "My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?" But the very last phrase of this chapter is: He has done it! π

Today's episode is one of my favorites because I'm finally teaching you a fun and exciting way to study the Word of God! The Bible is a golden tool to have in our everyday lives. Think of it like this: you don't have to study; you get to study! It's an honor, not a burden. People in other parts of the world are persecuted for even speaking the name Jesus. Btw, I didn't go into much detail on how to choose a passage when you sit down to read, so here are some options:
π Start with the book of John (Learn about the person of Christ, thereby finding your God-identity)
π Study Paul's, John's, or Peter's letters for daily living
π Head over to Psalms to grab some encouraging pick-me-ups
π Proverbs and Ecclesiastes are fantastic for gaining wisdom and discernment
π Learn David's story through 1 Kings if you're feeling unworthy and unqualified
π Read any of the Old Testament stories to see how God calls, chooses, and uses His people
π If you're still stuck, download the Bible app, click on the verse of the day, view the entire chapter of that verse, and study it. You can also search Google for verses/stories that have to do with what you're feeling atm. Dig in.
