Greets! I hope all is going well.
I have been practicing a few chords from the CAGE technique and I thought I would share the exercise.
Feel free to join in. There are a few shapes that are not easy but persistence prevails.
Once learned and absorbed you can use the shapes to make tasty solos over the chords.
Good luck and smash it!
Cheers.

Highly recommended.
Breezin is agood tune to start with if you are unfamiliar with his style.

Cheers for swinging by!
Here is a little something I arranged using a delay pedal.
Using arpeggios you can get a nice vibe when you link them together.
Use sticato downstrokes with your picking hand to get a good resonance on the delay.
Thanks for watching.

It's cool to get some blues licks under your belt.

Work them in any pentatonic position.

Difficulty - advanced

Gains - Hammer on power, sliding accuracy, bending power.

Here's a fun one.

Moderate in difficulty.

Play fret 2 of the B string, pull off and upstroke it straight after.

Play it in time and lock it in.

Feels great!

Cheers.

Try to resist that upstroke! It may feel natural, it may not.

The real key to fluent playing is connecting your strokes.

The time it takes to go from a down stroke to an up is very minimal. Widely used by many.

But the time it takes to go from a down to a down is even more minimal.

Try it and get used to it.

It's life changing.

Cheers.

Here we have the Fender Fa345ce model acoustic guitar.

It's a nice sounding guitar with a Fishman pickup and a sleek shaped body.

But like most mid range Fenders, the frets are high and skinny thus bringing the pitch out of tune with the slightest overpressure.

Here is my tune Circles played through a Presonus condensor mic and Studio One software.

Cheers for checkn in :)

A golfer needs a good swing. An artist needs a steady hand.

A guitarist needs a good picking hand and thats for sure.

Try this little riff and include all the strokes you know.

Start slow and speed up with time.

Cheers for the support.

Have a good day.

These are fun. Pretty hard at the start but the shapes will stain your mind forever.

There are a few ways to approach these picking wise. I'd recommend trying them all.

Single pick with downstrokes

Economy pick with downstrokes

Alternate pick everything.

Muted.

Good luck and Cheers :D

Great tune by British band Florence and the Machine.

The song was released in 2009 and tells the tale of drug abuse.

I always thought the lyrics were a bit strange, but now it all makes sense.

Hope it brings back a few memories.

Played on a fender Squier with a Roland Cube Micro.

Cheers.

For those who play but haven't heard of a Canadian fingerstyle player called Ewan Dobson, I'd highly recommend to!

Here is one of his tunes called Be Gone. It has 6/8 timing and is played in C minor tuning,

Not bad little sound coming from these stairs here :D

Cheers.

Man what a tune by Eric Johnson! I must of watched the G3 Live in Denver dvd from 1996 a thousand times.

Erics tune Manhattan struck a chord with me back then, but no way was I developed enough to tackle such a tune.

Get stuck in if you think you are ready. Highly recommended to improve your skills.

Cheers.

Here are 3 fingerstyle fills you can practice and slip them in whichever way you wanted.

The first is a nifty little nut position hammer on pull off combo.

The second is a magical cascading major pentatonic scale.

The third being a cruisy blues style lick.

Good luck and keep rippn!

Here's a tune I wrote that tells the tale of a secret world within the earth we live on.

Sitting on the back of the Dragon Summoner Selinia Sky, gracefully flying through the underworld.

Magic!

Thanks to the team for creating such a good game and economy.

See you on the battlefield.

I'm a big fan of picking. Playing computer games throughout my teens gained me the skills.

I was a bad ass at the button bashing game Track and Field for the ZX Spectrum 128k.

A similar technique is used for picking.

Hope ye get it :)
