The Jays finished up their road portion of the MLB Schedule getting swept by the Rays in Tampa bay, but we did have some WILD things happen this series, including Alejandro Kirk getting his first triple of his career! We also welcome Vlad to the 100 rbi club! We got our first look at Jonatan Clase and so much more! Plus Jose Berrios was denied his chance at 100 career wins, and we'll take a look down to buffalo as the Bisons have offically wrapped up their 2024 season, all that and so much more as we preview the upcoming homestand against BOS
Welcome back Bo Bichette!... Or maybe not, A lost season for him continues as he is now offically done for the year, infact Daulton Varsho and Will Wagners seasons are over as well, we'll share some thoughts on what we saw from them this season. Plus we talk about some new additions to the team, Tyler Hienemann is back! and Dillion Tate has shown up and so has the waiver wire of relivers. Then we take a look at the Series, Vladdy broke our of his mini slump with a double dong, his 30th of the year, Davis Schneider went deep again, Leo Jimenez keeps getting hit by baseballs and Addison Barger did something in this series that may be a good sign for him going forward. Boy was this much needed for Babe Schneider. 2 HRs in the series his first 2 HRs in a LONG time, PLUS! The Blue Jays were able to in a series against the Cardinals! We have alot to come from this series including some good pitching performances from Gausman, Berrios and Y Rod. Bowden Francis simply might be one of the best pitchers in baseball period. We react to his second lengthy no hit bid, taking another no hitter into the 9th inning for the 2nd time in his last 4 starts. The all star break came and went and the Blue Jays looked exactly the same after the break, the offence had their moments, but mostly struggled, the pitching staff had its ups and down and ultimately the Blue Jays lost the series to the Detroit Tigers. Well, this is not what we were expecting from this team as we reached the all star break. The Blue Jays are 44-52 were 14 games back in the AL East and we are the 5th worst team in the American League. Back to back series wins on a west coast road trip is never a bad thing and even though it may be too little too late, we're seeing some good things from this Toronto Blue Jays team. The team had a HEARTBREAKING loss in game 1 of the series in a game they really just shot themselves in the foot. But the offence got it together in game 2, scoring 9 runs and the Jays have quietly scored 20 runs over their last 3 games. Is this the best vlad has looked since his 2021 season? The Red Sox are a fun exciting young team with lots going on, The Blue Jays simply are not. We were just half a game behind them coming into this series and the Red Sox proved they were a better team, We lay out some greviences in this episode before talking about some of the more exciting news. The Jays had another chance to get back to .500 and they weren't able to do it in this series, As usual they got good pitching but the bats weren't able to get going as they only take 1 game in Milwaukee. With that being said we still have some notable takeaways, Spencer Horwitz looks good, and we got some gutsy performances from our starting pitchers. The Jays welcomed in the worst team in all of baseball to the Rogers Center this week and did exactly what we were supposed to do. We took 2/3 against the lowly Chicago White Sox. The more things change, the more things stay the same. The Blue Jays welcomed in the red hot Minnesota Twins into town and it went exactly like we thought it would. Twins take two out of three against the Blue Jays as they scored just 3 runs in the two losses.
First we talk about what the plan is going to look like for the Jays in the rest of this season. Do we Retool and compete again in 2025? Hold and hope the guys get hot? Or Fire everyone and start the rebuild.
We had three very interesting pitching performnaces this series. Kikuchi with his best start as a Blue Jay, Alek Manoah had his best start in a long long time and Gausman struggled against the Twins yet again.

The Nationals are not a good baseball team, but they are better than we are. The Blue Jays have now lost 4 straight series and this one might hurt more than the other three.

The Blue Jays end their 10 game road trip to start the season with a 4-6 record after losing 2/3 at the Bronx. Thankfully we have Davis Schneider who almost singlehandedly won us game 2 off Hader and was rewarded by not being in the lineup the next day. we discuss that plus some of the poor performances from Kirk Varsho and Kiermaier to begin the season.
