Hi friends! Welcome to Think Out Loud With Me, a chat-cast produced, hosted, and humbly offered by yours truly, Natalie Petersen, from my neck of the woods to YOU…IN YOURS. This podcast is my big, hairy, audacious quit-giving-such-a-shit effort to turn years of chatter, wondering, silent suffering, and physical and mental close calls, into constructive and enlightening conversations with others. I’m tired of bottling it all up! I wanna THINK OUT LOUD WITH YA! So yup! I’m taking full advantage of a Universally-accepted, irrevocable license to be curious, and held by every single one of us. Perhaps in my own search for clarity, connection, community, and congruence, I help you find your voice…ignite your curiosity…nudge you just a bit in your own favor… I’d like that. I’d like that a LOT.
To each their own. But until you experience any length of chronic pain, it is quite difficult not to judge someone who is living day in and day out in physical and mental despair and what lengths they go to in search of relief. "Pain will drive you to try things," says my guest, Greg.
Greg just finished his first full year of micro-dosing and realizing complete relief from a near life-long struggle with chronic pain. His resume of injuries, accidents, surgeries, procedures, and attempts at relief commenced at the age of 4 when he was flung from a horse. Having kicked an opioid addiction and finally being informed even the most drastic original last option of spinal fusion and losing 50-75% of the motion in his back was NOT going to work, Greg was desperate.
This 67-year-old, well-spent rancher with xrays that make doctors pause, decided to try microdosing. Today, Greg calls himself "living proof" that how the body processes pain can be rewired with the help of such alternative remedies as psilocybin mushrooms and other psychedelics.
Greg and I visit about his simply astounding journey, the lessons, some particulars, the non-negotiables, his new life, and what the future of pain relief might look like if we open our minds to the idea of psychedelics.
And careful! Check your bias on the label. This isn't about spending your day baked. In fact, if you knowingly have that bias, put both earbuds in and listen.
Neither Greg nor I are in a place to tell you to micro-dose. Serious research, guidance, awareness, self-inventory, and continued patience are highly suggested as the next steps in understanding micro-dosing as a physical and mental health alternative.
There are over 40M in the U.S. alone struggling with back issues that have some degree of associated 'severe' pain. It's a new year of new ideas and new invitations to consider, and there's someone out there who needs to hear this.
Send me your thoughts. I'd love to hear them.
RESOURCES:
Greg mentions The Bonati Institute, where he had a procedure that gave him complete relief. He also mentions the University of Michigan's M-PsyC Research Department. Here is a recent article from Vox that is valuable. Psychedelic Spotlight News is a source to investigate.

Growing up in a traditional Chinese American family, Grace C.W. Liu came to believe that she didn't have a voice or a choice about who she wanted to be. Not until her 30s and a very tumultuous argument with her husband did Grace recognize the massive opportunity to break a cycle of crippling communication and rules and self-limiting beliefs threatening her living her best life, her relationships, and, ultimately and most importantly, her knowing her worth to pursue her calling without hesitation.
Not only did she save and greatly enhance her relationship with the love of her life, but Grace realized her life experience was unique and valuable in connecting with others, especially Introverts, who face 'Stagnant Communication Syndrome.' Coupled with years spent in speech pathology interacting with all walks of humans, as well as training in Human Design, she has developed a set of communication styles and mentorship to help frame her work with clients and life in general.
Listen in as we dive into what it means to communicate as a Fireball, Nurturer, Diplomat, or Humorist. Grace has a beautiful way of describing each, weaving in bits of her personal story to bring to life the awesome connection that can happen when we take the time to understand one another's style.
Grace is incredibly generous with her thinking and wants to connect with humans who wish to tap into their greatest potential. She is especially excited about a beautiful project she has been working on, a deck of cards called YOU MATTER, YES YOU DO!

The work and commitment to the details of self-awareness, self-love, self-regulation, self-management, and anything SELF…these details have been of great importance to me over the last many years. As I’ve met and been mentored and connected with others with the same priority of growing emotional intelligence and mental agility, I am amazed at the wisdom, compassion, creativity, and commitment to a greater good those in my growing circle of humans have. We are here to help others. We are surrounded by beautiful people eager to partner with us to heal, thrive, and expand our potential.
I’m excited to introduce you to Chrysta Bairre, my guest with her own unique and fantastic gifts of giving and supporting others. Chrysta is an advocate for herself and others. As a child she grew up in poverty primarily in the Denver area, surrounded by family members with mental illness and addiction, while her own non-apparent disability went unrecognized and undiagnosed. A queer woman with several disabilities, she fought to get the help and support she needed to thrive, and became a voice for unseen and under-served people like herself. Today, Chrysta is a career coach, speaker, and author, and through her leadership as founder of Live Love Work and She Goes High, she helps women create balance, show up in their brilliance, advocate for themselves, and find happiness in work and life. Her book, Beautiful Badass: How to Believe In Yourself Against the Odds, was published in 2020.
We have an emotional conversation. Listen for more on:
👑 Acknowledging and deprogramming privilege
🪢 Finding a brave voice, talking someone off the ropes
💡 Neurodivergence: how we talk about it and react to it
🤲 Inclusion: what it's not and working towards what it is
‼️ Give grace: we are humans first, and we will get shit wrong

To React or Respond is today's question. At first blush, React and Respond feel similar in meaning, right? Your thesaurus will tell you they are synonyms for each other, and I’m sure we've all used the words interchangeably at some point. But if you’re a communications nut like I am, semantics matter, and a lot is going on between these two words that has me curious.
My guest is a woman I have come to know and respect for her deep commitment to responding to the world around her with love, compassion, and pursuit of justice. Deciphering her role in seeking justice in the face of fear at an early age, Sosamma Samuel-Burnett is the founder of G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice, a nonprofit in Loveland, Colorado, that works to inform, impact, inspire, and provide education and advocacy on local, national, and international justice issues.
⚖️ Justice: loving when it's hard
🚦 Human trafficking: in everyone's backyard
🪨 Hard stuff: talking about difficult topics
📖 Sosamma's story: on the shoulders of beautiful humans
👩🏽🏫 Being a teacher: incubating a future of intention
🏠 Micah Place: connecting for community, culture, and justice

The stress from uncertainty has many of us feeling drained, worried, or even hopeless. Navigating your way through the day and keeping it REAL when everywhere we look we’re tempted with loaded headlines and soundbites of reasons to run and hide is…well…HARD.
That's why I’m grateful to have connections like my guest, Ariana Friedlander, MPA, founder and principal of Rosabella Consulting. Ariana is an organizational anthropologist, a leadership development expert, and an author. As well, she is a master facilitator, coach, speaker, Certified Conversational Intelligence® Coach, certified HeartMath mentor, and a trained Breathwork practitioner.
Ariana is someone with whom I can think out loud about hard questions and know I’m going to get an honest perspective. In episode 14, she and I tackle topics worth listening in on, including:
🚨 Trauma response: when you don't recognize yourself
🍬 Oh sweetie: climbing out of Altschmerz and the same ol' shitty sitch
💑 Tonglen and the global vibration of Heartmath
🫥 Circumstances of self-awareness, interpreting thoughts as facts vs perception
💔 Where we are at: a global emotional recession, (dis)trusting ourselves
💡 A brilliant idea: connecting with Ariana as a client

Stop. For just a minute. Unclench your f^cking jaw. Drop your damn shoulders. Rub your temples. Take a slow, DEEP inhale through your nose. EXHALE that sh!t out your mouth. Say THREE things you’re grateful for and WHY. Slightly turn up the corners of your mouth. Get on with your f^cking day.I didn’t write that. My guest did. And now that you’re all relaxed and sh!t, you should know her, too.
She’s Sarai Speer aka The Platinum Giraffe. Sarai is an independent hairstylist educator and Life & Empowerment Coach. She has 8 years of sobriety, is actively recovering from a 30-year Eating Disorder, and is working on her Mental Health Coach Certification. Sarai will tell you she’s slightly obsessed with empowering humans to achieve their goals and GTFO of their own way!
Wow, we dig in. We dig in deep. Healing isn't linear, this conversation isn't linear, and it's all LIFE. We're HUMAN, and we show ourselves - vulnerable, raw, and real. It's incredible to connect with someone with no agenda except to BE. Accepted and worthy. Helped and helping with every story we share.
This isn't a surface-level casual cast. Sarai and I cover topics of imposter syndrome, addictions, facing demons, the mess of healing, self-awareness, woo and yoga and meditation and therapy and the mental health cocktails we're double fisting, holding brave space and reclaiming our personal power. Healing OUT LOUD.
FOLLOW this woman. She's real. You don't have to be a hairstylist. Just human.

I found my way here to connect by the water and share space with a beautiful human, Lisa Cheney-Philp. Lisa is Visionkeeper of Women of the Water. She serves as a death doula, grief guide, shamanic practitioner, creative facilitator, artist, and river guide. Lisa belongs to the world as one who rewrites history, one who dwells in river canyons, and one who dreams of the river meeting the sea. As the founder of Women of the Water, she braids together her skills, training, and lived experiences to help us remember the ways and wisdom of water so we can well-tend experiences of death, dying, grief, loss and love and restore Life for generations past, present and future. Lisa has been embedded in Colorado communities and watersheds for over 20 years and currently calls Fort Collins, Colorado, and the Poudre River watershed home with her husband and daughter.
Lisa and I have a beautiful exchange about our personal rivers, the beauty of death, our capacity to experience joy and grief in endings of all kinds, be they life being over, or a relationship, a job, a season, a significant move, or other upheaval in life, major or otherwise. Endings happen every day, and with awareness and openness, we can indeed give and receivethe sacred tending needed to alchemize grief into relief. And joy.
Listen in. Lisa's voice and energy are welcoming and sweet, and she is exactly where she needs to be in her role on this planet. Lisa is open to connect and commune by the water with you One-on-One, in Community Grief Circlesor Nature Mandala Workshops, and even rowing and growing in unique River Experiences. Most recently, Lisa has created a space where questions and wondering can be exchanged for others to explore death, grief, and loss. I LOVE conversation around #mentalfitness, #mentalagility, #mentalmuscles getting stretched, limber, stronger, and ready to engage, flex and perform, no matter the situation. This means the soft, quiet, stuff. This means the vulnerable, courageous, raw stuff. This means the high-impact, charged, under-pressure stuff. And everything in between.
In this latest episode of #TOLWM, I'm joined by Abigail Veliquette, Ph.D., PCC, leadership coach and consultant with Sequoia Leadership Group. Every month is Mental Health Awareness Month, but in May, we turn up the volume and encourage the world to talk about mental health and offer hope for those struggling by highlighting options for help. In my local community, we have made great strides to support those suffering from mental health challenges, and Yarrow Collective is a brilliant example of the good that has grown in the last several years since a sales tax increase was passed to directly support Larimer County Behavioral Health Services.
Silen Wellington is the Director and Peer Support Group Facilitator at Yarrow Collective, a nonprofit peer-run organization here in Northern Colorado offering mental health support ‘by and for’ people with lived experience of mental health and substance use struggles. With a team of other wonderful humans, they facilitate Yarrow's Alternatives to Suicide, Unity in Community for BIPOC, Genderqueer Peers (for transgender & Nonbinary folks), Chronic Illness & Disability Peer Support, and ECHO teen groups. All of their support groups are free, drop-in spaces.
Silen and I share a meaningful cast discussing Peer Support and bits and pieces of our own journeys to becoming experts of our own experience, a freeing and empowering concept that promotes connection and community and co-creating inclusive, non-judgemental spaces where healing can happen.
Peer support uses the power of relationships to create meaningful connections, learn and grow together, challenge and expand our worldviews, be accountable in our relationships, and move towards what we want to do or be. ~ Yarrow Collective

I first laid eyeballs on Amanda Fuel during Founded in Foco here in Northern Colorado. I chose her session because, well, I’m a wannabe professional speaker and when I saw the chance to hear from a badass woman how to overcome fear to take the stage and impact others, I was in. In the first few minutes of her introduction that day, she mentioned something about the magic of engaging others from the stage in such a way that there’s a person in the audience who feels like
Well, I'm convinced, she was. She was talking to ME. And here we are.
Amanda Fuel is on this planet to shake things up in the world of leadership. Her secret mission is to inspire the best parts of ourselves to come out to play, even around serious topics (like money and emotions), and to make space for uncommon voices - are you an Introvert? Neurodivergent? Don’t fit the old norms of shape, size, or color? Good. We need you to take up your space in this world now more than ever.
Amanda has trained hundreds of thought leaders to share their message with heart and humor, and take on big stages, like TEDx, Harvard, and Oxford. Entrepreneurs hire her because she knows that the shortest distance between two people is Laughter, and above all, Amanda’s talks are meant to Connect. If you’re ready to take your message farther and wider, without losing a single drop of authenticity, Amanda can't wait to work with you.
But first, she's with ME. Listen in. We jump in, take on big topics, and engage in honest, easy conversation about showing up for life, #relentlessauthenticity, wearing masks, performing on personal and professional stages, whether it's one-to-one or one-to-many, and more. You'll find Amanda online at https://www.amandafuel.com/ or Facebook or LinkedIn Consider an upcoming chance to work with her on the sticky topic of #MONEY in The 10X Game. I woke up with drinking on my mind. Not in the ‘I need a drink’ kind of way, but in the ‘wow, who was I when I drank, what was I hiding from, how did I survive myself, where did alcoholism start in my family…’ you know, the thoughts a lot of sober people have who are still shaking their heads, even after years of not drinking. When I talk about drinking, I talk about my own experience. I talk about my parents and their parents and how alcoholism ran on both sides of my family. I talk about how drinking was a severe problem for me, how I used it to deal with anxiety, how it fueled my anxiety, how it created anxiety in others…though I spent the first year or so of sobriety wondering how ANYONE in their right mind would ever drink, I’ve since concerned myself less with other people’s use of alcohol and concentrated on my own.
I don’t stand in judgment of people who drink. Have I wondered if people have a problem with drinking? Sure. Do I continue to process my parents’ relationship with alcohol and how it affected me and my family? Yes. Does society’s obsession with alcohol concern me? Absolutely. But I choose to share my story and thoughts around drinking and addiction and related topics with others as a method of connection, not condemnation.
I speak up for my own mental health with the hope that just one person will hear that they are worth every bit of strength they have to muster to not pick up the bottle.
So, I hollered at someone I trust to shoot the sh*t straight with me, to talk sobriety without a filter. Andrea Dratch is an actor, producer, model, performer, muse, and, though she doesn’t list this in her bio, incredible influence as a woman stepping into her voice, her body, and her power. She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and her remarkable talents can be seen in Tina Tina Bo Bina, Small Town Remedies, Reed Gig, Womanhood The Series, Saturn Rising, and Crash and Burn Stories. Here in Colorado, we see her gorgeous face as the spokeswoman for Woodley’s Fine Furniture, her family’s business since 1979. She’s raw, she’s authentic, and she’s a serious badass.
Listen in for an extended episode of conversation. We spend a chunk on being sober in a world of glorified drinking, and we also spend time exploring Andrea's close relationship with her artist sister, Jacquelynn Perkins, who is hosting a solo show beginning April 12 at Artworks Center for Contemporary Art in Loveland and sharing with the world for the first time her Animal Bodies, which includes Self Portraits of My Sisters, as well as a live performance by Andrea as she introduces her own latest work, Shame on Me, a short film done in collaboration with Andy Carrasco.

I have much to unravel in my journey of spirituality, and it’s only been in the last few years that I have begun to soften and open and become genuinely available to the possibility that I can have my own relationship with Spirit, Source, possibly even, God.
This lessening in resistance has come about as I have deliberately engaged myself in reading, conversations, and experiences with others who offer me alternate views and connections with a higher power, the greater universe, the miracle of energy, soul, and divinity. Indeed, this chat cast has become my medicine.
Living a life marinated in Eastern and Western ideologies, Rev. Dr. Ahriana Platten is an evolutionary force in spiritual transformation. She bridges ancient wisdom with contemporary teachings, empowering people to use sacred ceremony to address life challenges. As a revered mystic and visionary, Ahriana is the compass for spiritual leaders aiming to reshape the world. Her influence resonates across a global community in 50+ countries. She’s an ordained Unity minister, a formidable high priestess in two esoteric traditions, and a mentor for spiritual entrepreneurs. A former Ambassador for the Parliament of the World’s Religions, Ahriana is the bestselling author of “Rites and Rituals, Harnessing the Power of Sacred Ceremony,” and “The Changing Story,” a children’s book.
And in this episode, she’s thinking out loud with ME. I spent a beautiful hour listening to her voice, stories, and wisdom. Amidst tales of her own spiritual path, she weaves in gentle teaching moments and takeaways we can implement on our own terms. She reminds me of my worth and interconnection with humanity, each of us whole and holy in our beautiful ways.
Please also consider A Soulfull World, and the many opportunities to experience Ahriana as a Priestess, Pastor, and Peacemaker. In addition to her Website, there is Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I'm particularly interested in the upcoming Interfaith Mystery School and the chance to expand my understanding and cross a new threshold into spirituality. You can also purchase a copy of Ahriana's bestselling book, Rites & Rituals.

I’ve invited my guest, Jeremy Pajer, to think out loud with me about the deep and often polarizing topic of Masculine and Feminine Energy. I met Jeremy in his role as co-founder of Freedom Folk and Soul as he and his wife and co-founder, Stephanie, led a group of us through the Toltec Medicine Wheel of Transformation. I joined him, Stephanie, and several others on a journey of self-discovery to the pyramids of Teotihuacan, Mexico, and his teachings, touch, and genuine energy so greatly impacted me that I have journeyed two more times to Teo and spent countless hours with him in ceremony and discussion online and in person.
Jeremy loves to share his wisdom, creativity, and playfulness as an Ordained Minister of the Healing Arts, Transformation and Master Breathwork Facilitator, Toltec Teacher, and Personal Freedom Coach. He brings his love and knowledge of firewalking, sweat lodges, Native American ceremony, Toltec wisdom, 12-Step traditions, and shamanic practices to people all over the world.
Jeremy is MOST passionate about teaching people how to find their OWN wisdom and embrace their OWN humanity. He is practical and purposeful, yet gentle, kind, and authentic. He is a leader, teacher, and healer, yet he is forever a student, vulnerable, curious, and always evolving.
Jeremy embraces both the Sacred Masculine and Sacred Feminine. I have witnessed him as both stable and free-flowing. He is determined and protective, and agile and nurturing.
After setting up with some perspective of my own, I dive right into this cast and ask Jeremy to give us a little commentary on his understanding of masculine-feminine energies. A thought-provoking conversation blossoms from there, and I'm honored to let you hear.
Jeremy is wonderfully busy with a calendar of experiences, breathwork, journeys, and points of connection. You can find him online at https://www.freedomfolkandsoul.org. You can find the beginning of the Shaman Heart series he is co-leading with his wife, Stephanie, at https://www.shamanheart.org.

Think Out Loud With Me is my medicine, and every episode is a dose of love that heals me, empowers me, and makes me a better version of myself. Visiting with Thais Harris, my guest today who brings her magic as a board-certified holistic nutritionist to help women love themselves into their ideal body, vibrant health, and an outstanding life, is no exception to the power of connection and community.
I met Thais as a part of the author group that helped our soul sister, Tina Green, bring The Life-Changing Power of Self Love to life this past November. We reached bestselling status together and now get an opportunity to share extended space learning more about one another’s gifts and stories.
Gathering evidence of our glorious selves, if even in the smallest ways, balancing values, the D.I.E.T. we practice, discovering self-reliance and self-healing, and the simple act of looking in the mirror and telling ourselves, "I love you," are all sweet, easy topics we touch. Thais is a beautiful, intelligent, welcoming human I am happy to introduce to my listeners.
Thais Harris, BCHN, can be found online in several ways. Write her at thais@nourishtogether.com or visit her Website, Instagram, and Facebook. She even gives you a taste of her healing touch with a free PDF download: 3 Mindset Shifts to Love Yourself Into Better Health.
She wrote Chapter 19, "No More Cringing in the Mirror: What Skin Cancer Taught Me About Self-Love," in The Life-Changing Power of Self Love. She is also the author of a children's book, Little Red. Both books can be purchased on her website's media page.

It was a perfect day to ponder. Single digits outside, warm and safe inside. Both my home and my heart were quiet, settled. That I got to plug in and connect with a soul sister to think out loud together in this state was especially sweet. I’ve been waiting for the stars to align so that we could spend this time in our own sort of ceremony, sharing and wondering out loud about our journeys.
Stephanie Urbina Jones is a singer, teacher, best-selling author, sister, friend, mother, wife, and lover of life who brings her passion and experience of living a life of creative freedom to people all over the world.
This rockstar shamama has a passion for transformation and is a living example of not only dreaming but bringing those dreams to life. She recently released a fantastic album, Manuel’s Destiny, and is touring with her Honky Tonk Mariachi spreading her spicy love across Texas, Tennessee, Mexico and everywhere in between. You'll find her and her Honky Tonk Mariachi next on January 23rd live at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville!
Whether she is writing a song, writing a best-selling book, performing, or leading sacred journeys of transformation as co-founder of Freedom Folk and Soul where I was blessed to meet her, Stephanie is following her heart and chiseling out her soul.
Since meeting one another in the fall of 2022, Stephanie and I have grown a connection and trust that has been critical to my healing and mental health. You'll hear firsthand how readily she shares her heart's story and life's journey and creates a safe space for others to do the same. I treasure time with her, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share our conversation with listeners.
If you are motivated to reach out to SUJ, you've many ways to do so. She has classes and experiences on the near horizon, music to enjoy, and books to read.
You can even dabble in Stephanie's fantastic fashion inFrida's Closet. Take a moment and connect. <3

The morning’s routine of coffee and reading while the sun broke through was as peaceful and contemplative as usual. I have a carefully curated selection of newsletters and subscriptions that fill my inbox most days keeping me updated with headlines and inspiration. On this day, I found my guest’s latest post, and as I read it, I began buzzing. Like I could literally feel vibrations running through my body. So I pinged her.
Oh my gosh, can we chat?!? She said yes, she'd love to.
Kimberly Millstone is a writer, artist, and 5D astrologer. She pens Relevance of a Crone on Substack, and to begin our cast, I read to you what she shared that morning that sat me up and had me hungry to chat.
The post is titled ‘WHO’S YOUR DADDY?’ and it serves as a beautiful sounding-off point for connection that I feel sure will resonate, especially around the topics of sourcing security in ourselves and choosing faith over fear.
As the calendar turns to 2024, these are simple and powerful intentions we can set that have unbelievable implications for ourselves and the world. I hope you'll find a few minutes to listen in and hear for yourself.
In addition to her enlightened writing on Substack, Kimberly connects with clients around the globe to offer natal chart readings, astrocoaching, solar return readings, and intuitive channel readings. Seth Rohrer has fought hard for his own congruency. He has firsthand knowledge of the struggle with self to be real, to come to terms with half-truths and self-limiting beliefs, and literally take the leap, develop radical trust in the universe, and embrace life. I’m just getting to know him myself, and I’m grateful for the chance to do a little digging with him in this episode. His perspective is special.
Seth and I discuss the balance of masculine and feminine in each of us, unconditional love, and the ongoing journey to joy and self-actualization. He'll tell you, "It is NEVER selfish to choose your heart first." Sacrificing the old for the real can be incredibly scary and painful, and the fear of the unknown thwarts most people's progress, but the hardest truth you'll fight for is YOUR OWN.
You'll enjoy his voice and his thoughts and guidance. Consider joining Seth and his beautiful wife Angel in the Bytes Of Light Den where you will find love, support, and assistance as part of a pack that celebrates your awakening to new gifts, applauds newfound awareness, and encourages you to bring your fears into the light of their safe container.
If you are ready for more focused one-on-one work, Seth is happy to assist you in rediscovering your inner power and your personal truth. And guys, you can join Seth on social media and check out his website to see how he can be of higher service to you in further creating your beautiful story of life.

There's a saying,“Your mind is like an unsafe neighborhood; don't go there alone.” On my recent journeys to Mexico, I found a sister to hold my hand as I continue to walk in mine. She’s my guest in Episode 5.
Kim Eden is an Intuitive Empath, PSYCH-K® Practitioner, Reiki Master, NLP Practitioner, Holistic Herbalist, Hypnosis Practitioner, and Life Coach. But these, as she says, are just labels. The reality is that Kim is an energetic being having a human experience.
Kim grew up on a rural desert farm in southern Arizona. She spent most of her childhood lost in her imagination. The open desert was her playground; her best friends were her horse, dogs, goats, and cats that called the farm home.
Growing up, she’ll tell you she was always the oddball and outcast. She saw the world differently, even at a young age. She could see the energy that flowed into everything. She realized she was called to help and could hold that space for others. Kim does not believe that one modality will heal everything.
This belief has led Kim to learn different modalities. For over 25 years, she has been working on her spiritual development. She has attended courses at Arthur Findlay College to study mediumship and psychic development and has numerous certifications and additional training in holistic modalities, energy psychology, and energy work. She has traveled to learn with shamans, Maestros, and healers throughout North and South America. She is a perpetual student of the world. In 2020 Kim opened Peaceful Path. Through her private practice, she works with individuals to break free of their limiting beliefs, does energy healing, and conducts shamanistic ceremonies to help with additional spiritual support a person may need.
In Chapter 11 of Shaman Heart: Sacred Rebel, the book hitting the shelves in May in which we will both be featured with two dozen others including lead authors Stephanie Urbina Jones and Jeremy Pajer, Kim tells a story called "The Broken Path," and shares very special medicine for freeing oneself from limiting beliefs.
Listen in as we think out loud about the beauty of healing, the paths we walk, and the relief we find when we lean into our shadows for the lessons and love we have for ourselves.
Kim can be found just outside Nashville, TN, for in-person work, or online at https://peacefulpath.net/ or Kimeden@Peacefulpath.net. Follow her at facebook.com/peacefulpathinnerillumination and keep an eye out as she develops her YouTube channel at youtube.com/@peacefulpath1866

In addition, Linda's determination to help others is coming to life in the pages of a recent project, Brainwashed From Birth: How to Completely Free Yourself from Narcissistic Indoctrination, a self-help book about healing and reclaiming life after narcissistic abuse in which she shares first-hand experience as a survivor and thriver and offers practical ways to help those struggling to fully recover. Through her powerfully crafted words, she teaches readers how to deprogram from the narcissist’s insidious brainwashing and reclaim personal freedom to manifest their greatest dreams and desires.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a very real mental health challenge, and many don't know they are in the midst of very troubling, damaging situations. In this episode, Linda dives into the definition of narcissism and shares hope for those who are recovering from abusive relationships and unwinding themselves from the control of their abusers. You'll find the conversation thoughtful and enlightening. Listen in.
You can find Linda online at https://www.LindaCastor.com. Her background and magic are worth considering if you are seeking support! And if you've experiences and/or input to share with her of your own struggles and triumphs, please get in touch.

I'll tell ya what's next. This little chat is fresh off the Zoom Room floor. I found a new friend, her name is Toni Nagy. Lemme read you a little bit of what's online about this fantastic human who agreed to think out loud with me.
*Toni Nagy is a stand-up comic that’s quasi–radical, somewhat-existential, and mostly funny. Her comedy is like an acid trip, but with equal opportunity genital jokes. She’s also a writer, film-maker, sketch comedy creator, and co-dependent (if that's ok with you).
Toni is a filmmaker that has written/ edited/directed/and acted in over 50 sketch comedy videos that together have upwards of 1.5 million views.*Cavelight Productions is her independent media company. She's a dancer. She dances like a - my words now - like a woman possessed with the spirits of awesome, free, empowering, engaging, YUM!
I personally found her magic on Instagram - she has hundreds of thousands of followers across platforms...you'll find her...I did and fell in love with her crazy! Cuz she's crazy talented! I'm talking from the top of her head to the bottom of her toes. Lovely. And she's committed to being a good person.
Toni and I connected this morning. Me in my cozy, colorful Colorado corner, while she piped in from her yard in New Hampshire. Besides an opening that is likely similar in feeling to being lost in the very deep woods and a super awkward left turn about BOOBS that I guess I needed to get off my chest 😬 I'd confidently say our first encounter was as meaningful and enjoyable as I anticipated.
She's great. Listen in. Find her online. Toni's the real deal. I'm really tickled to be able to think out loud with her.

The last time I saw my guest, January Riggin, was 30+ years ago in our tiny li'l hometown, and I'm fucking grateful to have the chance to #THINKOUTLOUD with this survivor, author, non-profit founder, and badass human in episode 14. It's time to #getreal.
January's new book, Dark Side of the Moon Child, is her truth of long-term recovery. She is a survivor of sex trafficking, domestic violence, addiction, and the criminal justice system. She's mom to a 22 year old, and she'll soon be a grandma, too! Driven by "street-level passion," she founded #SOAP2HOPE, an SLC nonprofit that advocates for women, men, and teenagers who have been sexually exploited and sex trafficked.
She's on my cast on purpose, and I invite you to listen in. It's fucking raw, my mic is wonky, and who the hell knows how to end these casts with any sort of...and who really fucking cares, like really? It's messy ON #PURPOSE.
Fuck. I'll get to the fancy shit.
In the meantime, **#THISSHITMATTERS

…this life stuff…sometimes it’s hard.
And when it’s hard, well, I look for input. I look for connection. I look for my tribe.
I recently hosted a guest that I consider a part of my tribe. Cathy Huddleston is a horse and people trainer, educator, student, author, speaker, mentor and believer in acceptance of self and others. She accepts me. And her heart desires to help me. And I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, her heart desires to help you.
As lifelong horsewoman and a co-facilitator in the experiences she offers in-person outside Kansas City, Missouri, or in some cases, virtually, Cathy wants to help you connect to your true self in a present state of being through the eyes of a horse. As a teacher, as a partner, as a friend, the horse is capable of walking with you as you seek congruence.
Horses are 100% present and do not pretend to be something they are not. They work towards coherence with the environment and co-authored regulation of returning to a FULLY present state of being.
Congruence. When your insides match your outsides. When your strange beauty flies. When the ‘what if’s die.
And you return to yourself.
“Through the Eyes of a Horse” is a children’s book Cathy authored to put words to this magic. It’s a unique story of how a little girl finds self-acceptance through the experience of seeing herself reflected through the eyes of a horse.
Get to know Cathy with me, if even for just these few minutes of a cast. She’s an incredible soul who has a beautiful gift to share with the world by helping humans heal beside horses. We visit about the beauty of it all. The opportunity of relationships with the horses in our communities around us.
Having personally experienced healing through horses in 1:1 sessions, as well as family and group and significant other, I can only share life-changing stories. Others have stories, too. Listen to more! Horses Helping Humans is a podcast Cathy hosts to bring even MORE awareness to the magic of horses helping humans heal and grow and thrive.

She is also currently apprenticing with Master Toltec Teachers Jeremy Pager and Stephanie Urbina Jones to be a Sacred Journey Breathwork Facilitator and Transformational Facilitator of the Healing Arts.
Tina brings her vital mother energy to all her work and draws from her lived experience of carrying a lot of shame, especially body shame, through most of her adult life. She has healed her shame and feels an immense amount of personal freedom and self-love. She is passionate about assisting others in cultivating their self-love. Find her this weekend hosting an online Toltec Sacred Journey Workshop!
This chat is the first of many I want to share to celebrate what it means to live in our truths, to fight ourselves to find and defend our highest potential within.
My former sister and brother in law, Tina and her husband, Jason, an ordained Transformational Minister of the Healing Arts, are beautiful humans living in Sebastopol, California, raising their two beautiful daughters. I’m proud to know them, and I’m grateful they are finding such peace in their own truths.
These truths. Unique to each of us, buried under layers of years of strife. Don’t you notice them…everywhere…actually springing to life?!? In honoring our own truths, we infuse others with the energetic support to honor theirs.
That’s something you can get behind, no?
C'mon. Get curious. I dare ya. I am!

The first thing you feel when you meet my guest in Episode 11 is HOPE. He'll tell you, and he believes it:
You are made to be healthy. Your body knows what to do. All. Of. The. Time.
Dr. Ryan Pilsner is a beautiful human being whose WHY shows in everything he does. He partners with people of all ages, walks, ailments, accidents, and predicaments, in expressing their potential by aligning with their body's innate intelligence. I met him many months ago, referred by my dentist for lock jaw and, well, my dentist seemed to know I needed the help.
As a human, Dr. Ryan is fully committed to the health and hope of his community. As a chiropractor, he thinks out loud with me about the Wellness-Illness Continuum, the ties between the mental and physical realms, and the mission to flip the script on how we think about our beautiful selves.
The concept of self, work on the SELF, self-awareness, self-management…all of the SELF starts within - our bodies, our minds, our energy, our spirit. We are actually in the very beginning stages of understanding just how intricately linked and complex and BADASS the SELF is in mental, emotional and physical forms. It’s fascinating, just how powerful we as humans are, if we take the time to consider it all.
**What a world we’d be if we learned how to tap into our own PERFECTLY UNIQUE CRAZY BEAUTIFUL COMPLEX MAGNIFICENT COLORFUL WONDERFUL SELVES!
Dr. Ryan Pilsner and his fantastic team can be found at Heart & Hand Chiropractic**, 2601 S. Lemay Avenue, #9, Fort Collins, Colorado. Visit www.hnhchiro.com or call 970-377-3577.

Ever cross paths with someone and instantly like their style? Ya just click? Ah, it's refreshing, right?
Joel Sellentine is one of those people with whom I click. I dig his vibe. Why?
During the work day, except from 1-2 EST when he is off limits, Joel is CEO of Karmajack, a Detroit-based digital marketing agency that kicks serious ass. He is a father, husband, mentor, and SO much more to a LOT of people.
WHY?
Joel is congruent. His insides match his outsides.
I experience him as having great inner strength, self-awareness, presence. I'm not the only one who thinks this, either. Listen in, and you'll appreciate him, too, I guarantee it. We think out loud about the power of the mind to heal, the direction we're facing, tips, little nudges you can take in your favor to increase your mental fitness.

Holy Moley, this is EPISODE 9! Did I mention how much dang fun I’m having?
It’s pretty obvious I’ve got a thing for humans with beautiful brains. Bryan Muñoz is a human I took a particular liking to early in 2021 when I found myself in a virtual course at a public university. I was on the hunt for a Salesforce.com Admin Super Badge, and Bryan was the very talented, patient, online instructor. We hit it off, and we have stayed in touch. As I’ve learned more about Bryan, I’ve learned to truly appreciate HIS magic.
Bryan thinks about data like a chef thinks about ingredients. His mind can see pathways and logic that for me take pictures and long explanations. I visit with him for his informed perspective on privacy, on the obvious and not-so-obvious stuff that is happening as we are all expressing ourselves virtually.
Data and technology aside, Bryan is also forthcoming with his own story, and we think out loud about mental fitness. He's worked hard to get where he is at today, and I value hearing of his unique journey because it empowers my own. I'd love you to listen in.

Meet Andrea Dratch (IG @andreadratch), an award-winning actor and producer known for her role as Lita in the award-winning feature film, Small Town Remedies, written and directed by R.W. Perkins, that was released in 2020 which she co-produced. Andrea is also part-owner of Film Locale, a production house based in Northern Colorado.
She lives life as if a bear is chasing her every minute of every day. And this life of acting, producing, and living out loud? She chose it, she loves it, and she slays it!
She's also human. She's a very creative human with an intriguing story and a funky, badass style I adore.
In this extended cast, Andrea and I don't waste time getting real and discussing the concept of mental fitness, especially the work of forgiveness and reclaiming one's vision of herself. Sorry, folks, the cheese has to happen, but when you're thinking out loud with someone else about the in's and out's of this perfectly imperfect life we all attempt to lead, the cheese isn't so hard to swallow. In fact, it's downright enjoyable.
Listen in! And follow Andrea! She's gifted, raw, and available for you to adore like I do.

Please meet Laurie Stolen, Director of Behavioral Health Services, as she shares more details on the leading-edge concept of Continuum of Care - core to the Larimer County Behavioral Health Facility that is currently under construction in South Fort Collins and slated for opening later in 2023. Be warned, your host is still in start-up mode, but she's catching on with her first guest! It's the conversation that matters, especially when it's around #mentalhealthmatters. This will be one of many chats on the subject. Laurie is someone I greatly respect for her insight on the topic!
Amy K a badass, and I've invited her to think out loud with me about the concept of MENTAL FITNESS. She partners with people desiring to reach their full potential, and I have experienced firsthand her coaching magic. Listen in as we visit about mental fitness definitions, recovery time, drowning in waist deep water, and the direction we choose when we either stand up and actively move towards wellness or continue to splash around awkwardly waiting for someone to throw a rope or a bone or a dollar. This is the first of many conversations we'll enjoy with this wonderful human, 'cuz I think she has a LOT to share!
Amy has mentored hundreds of people and teams since she began as a Professional Certified Coach in 2002, and her insight comes from walking side by side with humans of every sort, from C-suite executives to college students. She's got a unique style developed from a background in computer science layered with intensive work and training in communications, facilitation, strategic planning, management and leadership techniques. Amy's services include individual and group coaching, and she is the host of The Growth Moment, an awesome podcast that allows us to listen into real-time coaching sessions.
Ultimately, Amy is a friend, and she is a very smart woman for whom I have a lot of respect. She is authentic in her pursuit of her highest Self, first and foremost. She has built a business, she has raised a family, and she has kept her wits while helping so many others keep theirs within safe spaces she has carefully created. I trust her input in my own pursuit of defining and practicing mental fitness in my own life.
