Infant massage is a tried-and-true way to strengthen the baby/parent bond. Studies have also shown that baby massage can help relieve post-partum and anxiety related symptoms since massage releases oxytocin in both baby and parent, allowing them to feel calmer and more competent in their parenting skills. Elina Furman, Certified Infant Massage Instructor and founder of Kahlmi (the first baby massager that soothes infants and strengthens the baby/parent bond).
After suffering from postpartum anxiety while her firstborn son had colic, Elina set out to help other parents dealing with the same situation. This week Dr. Yoal Brill gynaecologist/obstetrician from Oak Valley Health discusses the disease that affects biological women known as endometriosis.
He provides information about the symptoms and possible causes of this disease. He shares his experience with a patient who suffered from the disease. The endometriosis was so severe she lost some of her kidney function. Through surgery to remove the endometrial tissue she was able to get pregnant and regain a portion of her kidney function.
