Today, I’m joined by Author and blogger, Insuk Kim. Insuk is a native of South Korea but is an extensive traveller who now resides in Greenland. Insuk’s love for Japanese and French culture initially took her to Japan before she embarked on a journey to Europe and in particular, France in order to follow her passion for all things French, including historic figures like Marie Antoinette. While studying there, she began her love affair with the island of Greenland and today, she is a permanent resident of the island.

Today I’m joined by journalist Tina Lee. Originally from the USA, Tina is based in Berlin and specialises in migration, human rights, politics and the far right. Tina has previously worked for Human Rights Watch and The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network. Nowadays Tina is editor-in-chief of Unbias The News which is a space for journalists who experience structural barriers in the field. Tina offers training in cross-border and collaborative journalism and was editor-in-chief of the 2019 Unbias The News book. Katja’s podcast, Tommies and Jerries, has a unique style that not only manages to inform us about the similarities and differences between British and German, but also has a combination of fun and form. Katia has also recently written an amazing book, Blood and Iron: The Rise and Fall of the German Empire 1871-1918 which tells the story of a country that is just as influential now as it was when it was first created. Her style is to keep you reading, even if you know the end; as if it was some high stakes drama with the characters jostling for power and influence along the way. We will be meeting and chatting with guests from all over the world in the quest to find the best stores and conversations. In this episode, we chat with F1 and IndyCar legend, Derek Daly. Derek chats to us about his racing roots in Ireland, breaking though into Formula One and going stateside to race in IndyCar.
Hello and welcome to the Autopod. In this podcast series, we are talking all thing things auto, in particular, classic vehicles and historic motor racing. We will be meeting and chatting with guests from all over the world in the quest to find the best stores and conversations. In this episode, we be looking at the incredible Group C championship of the 1980’s and our guest for this will be Le Mans veteran racer, Richard Jones. So strap in, hit the gas and let’s get on the road! Richard Jones started racing 998 and 1275 Special Saloon minis with some success and progressed to Formula Ford. Then followed F3, F2 and F1 in the European Aurora Championship driving an Ensign and latterly a Surtees TS19. Alongside his single seater career, from 1974 Richard also drove in The World Sports Car Championship. In the 70's Group6 2 & 3 litre classes / 80's Group C C1 & C2 / 90's Group C1 C2 + GT1 & GT2 + British F3000 Championship / 00's LMP1 & LMP2 + South African Historic Series/2010 on SAH Series again + Italian Historic in Ferrari F40 GT1 etc. This sports car era included 15 Le Mans 24hrs races during which he achieved two class wins. During this period Richard also raced BTCC and European Touring Cars, competing in numerous Spa 24hr races. Richard still races occasionally, has an ARDS instructor's licence, coaches and mentor's young talent. He also assists 'older chaps' at track days.
