Today is Ash Wednesday. Join Julie as she reads Psalm 25 and reflects upon the tradition of Ash Wednesday and the importance of being marked as God's.
Hello and welcome to The Village Daily Bible! My name is Chris and I’m a member of The Village Church in Nashville, TN. We’re approaching the season of Lent and during this season we are striving to eliminate distractions and spend intentional time with God in prayer and listening to his word through scripture. We know life is busy and that it’s difficult to make this time a priority. But we believe that giving the first 15 minutes of our day to God and setting this as a priority will not only make a difference in our own lives, but on our family, our friends, our neighbors, our community, and our world. This podcast is an invitation to join us in this journey of setting intentional time with Jesus and watching the result for the next forty days and possibly beyond. Every day you’ll hear a selection from the Bible, some context to help you examine the passage, and some thoughts and questions from one of our members here at The Village. It’s an opportunity to spend a few minutes in the word and walk through it alongside other believers. If you’re ready to make a change and watch what God can do through this - join us starting this Wednesday on The Village Daily Bible Podcast!
