Man's perspective and God's perspective generally are opposites. Man's view is the world view; God's view is the heavenly view. Let's take on the mind of Christ and strive to see things through the eyes of Christ.
When Jesus told the disciples to get in the boat, they had no idea that a great storm was ahead. The same is often true for us today; we don't expect storms to arise when we're doing what God asks of us, but often they do. Jesus' response to the disciples and his reaction to the storm provides a solid blueprint for how we should respond when we are facing uncertain times.

The service includes music, children's involvement in BGMC, and a message emphasizing the importance of making choices that align with God's word. Special guests David and Mary Boyd share about their missionary experiences, including encounters with baby lions during travels to different countries. They highlight the impact of BGMC projects worldwide and encourage continued support for missions.
So it's the end of the world. How do you feel about it? Today we will present what we as a church and as the Assemblies of God believe is a timeline of the end of the world, based on the Scriptures. There are many more details, but that's not the point. The point is: are you ready, and who are you taking with you?
Very often the load we carry becomes heavy. God does not want us to bear that burden alone. He is our burden bearer. We also are instructed to help those that are heavy laden to find the burden bearer.
God promises us that all things work together for good. That Greek word for works together is the word from which we get synergize. We are better together and God works with us, in us, and through us so all things can work together for good.
The last two weeks we have spoken about being rooted and growing in Christ. Today we finish this series speaking about bearing fruit. God does not desire us to be spiritually barren His desire is for us to be fruitful. What kind of fruit are you bearing?

God is adamant in His Word that we should always be sowing, growing and harvesting. If we are not doing those things we are not doing what God has asked--not asked but demanded--the church to do. Let's root, shoot, and fruit for the cause of Christ.
Today is part one of a three part message. Root! Shoot and Fruit. God does not desire us to spring up quickly and then face difficulty and dry up and die. His desire for us is to be rooted in Him, Grow in Him and Bear fruit in Him.
When David and Goliath fought they were both champions. No both of them did not win but both championed for their cause. God is still looking for men and women to champion His cause. But even more important than that is God sees each of us a a cause worth fighting for. Jesus is still our undefeated champion!

The Christmas story never gets old! Even though we have heard it many times there is so much more we often forget. Sometimes we forget Joy to the World the Lord Has Come.
In this life we fight many battles some we appear to lose and feel like God is no where around. God is always aware of what you are going through even when it appears that He doesn't know much less care. We need to constantly remind ourselves that We Win!

Sometimes there is a lot of discussion on who has the greatest calling. Which ministry is greatest? What is the greatest calling? Let's look and see.
Many times we think God is running late. But the reality of life is God is always on time. Even though God is always on time sometimes his watch and our watch are not always in sync. We must submit to his direction and go where He wants us to go.
The Jews consider the 10 commandments to be God's marriage proposal to the Jewish nation. God calls the church the bride of Christ. What does it mean to be the bride of Christ? Let's look at it.
Jesus made an almost unbelievable statement in John 14 when He said even greater things you shall do. How can that be? How can we do greater things? How can we prepare to do greater things?
Many people are headed in the wrong direction. They are getting nowhere fast. What is our responsibility to those people? What if we are headed in the wrong direction what do we do? Let's look and see.
The early church would say "Maranatha" whenever they met a fellow believer. It literally means, "He comes" or "He has come." What words of encouragement! What ever may be coming our way pales in the comparison of the knowledge that Jesus has come and He is coming again.
God is the great giver. He has always been a giver, and will always be a giver. Satan is a thief and a liar he does not give, he steals. Let's thank God for His great gifts.
God is constantly reaching out to man. He calls him, He loves him, and He qualifies him. We must be willing not only to listen and to hear but to respond to His call.

The Bible teaches us that we walk by faith. What does that mean? What happens when faith is fulfilled? Faith becomes reality.
The book of Judges covers a dark period of time for Israel. Throughout, we see Israel abandoning God in pursuit of something they thought would bring them more pleasure. In Judges chapter three, we are introduced to Ehud, a man God would use to deliver Israel and guide them back to right relationship with Him. Ehud is unique, yet God used him. You might be unique, but God can use you!

If you've ever been to SeaWorld and watched the Shamu Show, you know there are an array of participants ranging from those who want to be entertained to those who want to get soaked! The same can be said about the Church! Some people come for the "show", to be entertained, while others come to experience God and the Holy Spirit, and then tell everyone about it when they leave!
In the book of Exodus there are 10 plagues reported. Each one of those plagues was pertaining to an Egyptian god. In the plague of frogs, we find a very interesting occurrence. When Pharaoh was asked when he desired for the frogs to be gone, he said tomorrow. He chose to spend one more night with the frogs. We say how foolish, but don't we often do the same thing?
Christians have a lot of things to overcome. One of the things we must overcoming is the statement "they say." We can not listen to the they sayers, we must listen and obey the voice of God. Let's be what God wants us to be and we will be more than overcomers.

We all know that God is not hard of hearing but we also know he is not nervous. Lifting our voices and crying for help, lifting our voices and praising God are certainly approved by God. Let's shout to the Lord today and see what God will do in and through our lives.
We all know what it feels like to be hurt. The old saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" is a lie. Sometimes, no matter how tough we think we are, the words and actions of others hurt. The question is not whether or not you will be hurt, the question is, how are you going to respond when the hurt comes? As a Christian, we only have one choice: forgiveness.

The Quarantine of 2020 caused us to explore what Church Online really means. And it's not just regurgitating the in-person experience online--that doesn't make sense. Instead, we are re-imagining what an online expression of church can be and working towards that goal. It's not just about the physical church anymore, and it certainly can't just be all digital. No, it's a Phygital Church!
Peter tells us that God is using lively stones to build his kingdom. None of the stones he uses is perfect. We all have flaws, but the building He makes is a building without spot or blemish.
As good as God was to the nation of Israel they still rejected him. As good as God has been to America you would think America would never reject him, but we see it happening everyday. The only hope in the world today is to quit rejecting Jesus and start receiving from Him.
What does it mean to follow Jesus? To trust in Him, to be with Him. How can we follow in His steps? Let's see what God has to say about these things.

There are so many truths that we can receive in the story of the resurrection of Lazarus, but one of the greatest truths is it was the beginning of the end. Everything had to be in place in order for the timing of Jesus death, burial and resurrection could be accomplished. The clock had already been ticking but this great miracle aligned the events up to fulfill the greatest miracle the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

If you were to ask people in the church today what our purpose is, most would probably recognize that our ultimate goal in life, our primary objective, our primary reason for living could really be summarized in saying we aim to please and serve Jesus. We are told in Scripture that God's yoke is easy and His burden is light, yet it seems that people in the church today are void of joy and they are stressed beyond measure. Could it be that we have taken our focus off of pleasing Jesus and instead accepted the yoke of pleasing man?

So many times we make excuses because of our circumstances. Do you think that instead of circumstances and coincidences it may be by divine appointment? God has allowed things to happen to set you up for a divine appointment!
When we think of Pentecost, we normally think of the upper room; but the first Pentecost occurred 50 days after the first Passover. There must be a death before Pentecost. The death of the Passover Lamb and the death to self. Let's look at the origin of Pentecost.

Jeremiah bought a field at God's instruction. He bought that field knowing he would never use it. He made an eternal investment. God made an investment in mankind when God so loved he gave. What kind of eternal investments are you making?

Most of us can say without any doubt that the Hand of God has been with us. God has directed us, blessed us, and covered us. But we also need to remember that God's hand of rebuke and correction is poised to correct us. Let's fall on the stone, lest the stone fall on us.
Paul gives some great words of encouragement. He does not want our faith to be in vain, neither does he want our labors to be in vain. As believers, God desires for us to be the people God intendeds us to be. In order to do that, we must labor or put forth an effort to fulfill that calling. If we do that, he assures us that our labor will not be in vain.

Moses and David both ask the question, "Who am I?" Who were they? Or better than that, who am I? What is my purpose here? Who am I trying to please? Let's look at that question Who am I?
There is a major event planned for the entire world. We don't know the exact date but we know it is a pre planned event that will happen. It is a little bit like our childhood game of hiding seek. Here I come ready or not!

We've all been through seasons where it seemed like everyone had abandoned us. If we're honest with ourselves, it may have even felt like God abandoned us. Sometimes all we are left with is broken pieces, but if we will surrender our will and everything we have, we'll learn that God specializes in taking what we have left and He's able to make a masterpiece out of the pieces!
Every one of us have been taken captive: captive by sin, death and the grave. But guess what? You have been ransomed! You have been redeemed! What a joy to know that our Kinsman Redeemer, Jesus Christ, paid the ransom in full. "Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!"

Today we celebrate our great country. As great as it is, just think how it would be if every man was just like Jesus. What a wonderful world this would be!
Ask anyone in America how they are doing, and you are likely to get a response similar to “I’m doing good!” However, if they were honest, they are probably worried, stressed, and anxious about a number of things. At the center of the word anxiety, you’ll notice something interesting. At the center of the word anxiety is the letter “i”. Today, let's look introspectively and ask the question, “What am I doing to contribute to the anxiety that is in my life?”
The definition of manhood is a moving target. Culture defines it one way, and the church defines it another. But which one is right? The answer may surprise you.
Every day we are at war even when our human eyes cannot see. The enemy wages war against us BUT GOD has given us HIS mighty weapons to help fight that war. Through prayer, worship and reading God's Word, we go to war with the enemy and with God on our side, we will not fail!
Today is Pentecost Sunday the birthday of the church. There are many things that the church needs but three essential things are His Love, Mercy, Grace and the Person of the Holy Spirit.

David hasn't been the king of Israel for long and he asks a startling question, a question that was anything but customary; "Is there anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness...?" David is told of a grandson that is still alive, but he is lame in both feet. David's actions speak volumes and it is great symbolism for us today. In the end, we'll discover, that we were just like Mephibosheth before our King, Jesus, came and sought us out, and carried us to the table where we didn't belong!

There are many ways to group Christians, one of those ways is this. There are four different groups of Christians:

Those that are filled with Christ's love grace and power and are doing everything they can for Christ.

Those that need more of God's presence in their lives so they can more effectively serve God.

Those sitting on the sideline as spectators, not participants.
-
Those people that are still looking for Jesus.

Skipping Passover during Easter season is like going immediately to the end of a good book. While the end of the story is the goal, it is more greatly appreciated when read from cover to cover. Messiah in the Passover is a presentation by the Chosen People Ministries that is a live demonstration of what a Passover Seder looks like, and how each part is connected to Jesus’ redemptive work on the Cross. Come see a Gospel presentation from a distinctly Old Testament point of view.
Paul admonishes us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, which is our reasonable or logical act of worship. Mary, the mother of Jesus, is a great example of a living sacrifice. She lived her entire live being a living sacrifice for God.

The Bible tells us "Thou shall have no other gods before me." We must put Him first, but many times we allow other things to become gods and they even become bigger to us that God himself. What can we do about this?
The tribe of Amalek killed many of the nation of Israel as they traveled through their land on the way to the promised land. Most of those killed were the weak and those separated from the main group. Satan does the same today he singles out the weak the disenfranchised, the loners and destroys them. What is our responsibility to insure that this does not happen?

While Jesus was preaching four men brought a friend to be healed. They had to take off the roof so they could get their friend to Jesus, because Jesus was in the house. When Jesus is in the house anything is possible and since Jesus died and rose again and the Holy Spirit is ever with us Jesus is always in the house.
Pastor Sheena Cullen talks about the Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC) and their mission projects.
Philip told Jesus, "Show us the Father and it will be enough." The world needs to see the Father as well as the Son and the Holy Spirit. How will they see them unless the Church shows them. If we show the world the Father it will be enough!

The nation of Israel is facing a terrible situation. The Ammonites have invaded their territory and instead of resisting, the nation of Israel caves in and allows them to invade without a fight. To make matters worse, we read that Israel willingly begins to sacrifice their children to the Ammonite god named Molech. Have we become a people like the nation of Israel in this text? Are we willingly sacrificing the next generation all while partying, thinking that everything is okay? Let's find out.

It is an amazing thing to realize that God has been working a long time before we realize a need. Rahab the harlot had already heard of the great things God had done 40 years earlier. Like the song "Waymaker" says, even when we don't see it or feel it, God is still working.
Jeremiah is known as the weeping prophet. His tenure was over a 50+ year period. Even though he rebuked and challenged the nation of Israel he also encouraged them during some very difficult years. One of his great reminders is for us to know God. Not just casually but to know Him in an intimate way.

God has always provided. He provided a lamb for the individual, Issac; for the family at the Passover; and for the nation of Israel. Now he is providing a lamb for the entire world. Behold the Lamb.
The prophet Isaiah gives us many prophecies, one being the virgin birth. He also emphasizes many other signs and workings of God. Just as surely as there was a virgin birth there will be a new heavens and new earth. God has provided divine healing and an everlasting love.

Enoch was a man who walked with God. His life was so faithful that God took him out of this world. Someday, that will happen to all Christians: we will leave by the portal of death or the portal of the rapture and will be able to spend eternity with our God who has redeemed us.
Did you realize Abel--yes Abel, the one Cain killed-- was a prophet. Jesus said he was. The writer of Hebrews tells us the blood of Jesus was greater than the blood of Abel, but Able's blood still cries out to us.
Terry Hull, missionary to Alaska, shares the Word with us today. God can and does perform miracles. But to him, even the most incredible miracle is a simple thing to him. Not only is he able, but he is willing.

Today around the world, people are celebrating Father's Day. If there has ever been a time when the world needed fathers who are devoted to raising their children and leading their families, it's now. In this message, we're going to look at characteristics that the men of the early church had to help us answer the question, "What does it take to be a Godly father?" We serve an eternal God--the God of the Amen. His desire is to walk in close fellowship with us and to be our refuge in the time of storm.
Our God is an omnipresent God. He is free from the limitations of time and space. He is a friend, a guide, and a shepherd. He is with us always even until the end of the earth.
We serve an omnipotent God. He is all powerful. He has proven that power throughout history. But his greatest proof is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Guest Speaker Evangelist and Missionary, Dr. James O. Davis, shares with us the Pandemic Promises for Powerful Progress, based on 1 Peter 1:1-9.
Our God is an omniscient God. That means He is all knowing. If we believe that, we must believe that He understands everything we are going through and He has made a way for us. If He knows, then we can trust Him to turn our obstacles or stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
God speaks of several mysteries in the Scriptures. Most of those mysteries are secrets of God that he reveals through His Word, His revelation and His Spirit. We Christians have this secret, but He does not want us to keep it or hide it but let shine before the whole world.
Christianity is more than do's and don'ts--it is about our relationship with God. But if our relationship is going to flourish there are some do's and don'ts. Let's see what Jesus had to say on the Sermon of the Mount.
With a new year comes brand new challenges. Today, I would like to challenge each of us--myself included--not to fret and sweat, but to rest in faith.
