Forrest and Mark discuss the Rams getting back to 3 and 3. How did the offense and special teams do it? Trivia Answer: This season reminds me of 2019. In 2018, we lost the SB due to a dismal performance from McVay, and Goff, and the offense scored only 3 points. In 2019 we had a "Super Bowl hangover", went 9-7, and did not make the playoffs, the only time in the Sean McVay era. I hope that doesn't happen this year, but it looks possible. Today's trivia question is: who was our defensive co-coordinator in 2019? Trivia answer: Wade Phillips was our defensive co-coordinator in 2019. The running joke was that because McVay was so young and "Son of Bum" (Wade's nickname) was so old that the Rams had a head coach in daycare and a defensive co-coordinator on Medicare! Forrest and Mark go over the 3 area's that lead to the Rams victory; defense, offense and special teams. Our trivia question is Last podcast we mentioned the 1989 Rams and their two great WRs, Henry Ellard and Flipper Anderson. We mentioned that in game 12 that season, Flipper had 336 yards receiving which is still an NFL single-game record. The Rams rallied from a 17-3 deficit and beat the Saints 20-17 on a 31-yard FG in overtime. Question: Who kicked that game-winning FG? Forrest Kelly is a radio veteran with a love of the Rams from 1970. He calls home 3.5 hours East of So-Fi Stadium. Mark LZ Rams hails from Northeast Florida.

Forrest and Mark go over the key components of the upcoming Rams and Cardinals game. Today's trivia question is about the 1989 LA Rams. That was an exciting team with an explosive offense led by QB Jim Everett. We finished 2nd in the NFC West behind the 49ers, then beat the Eagles and Giants on the road in the playoffs to advance to the NFCCG but lost to the 49ers at Candlestick Park. Question: we had a great pair of wide receivers that season, similar to Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt during the GSOT years. Name them. The answer is at the end of the podcast. Forrest Kelly is a radio veteran with a love of the Rams from 1970. He calls home 3.5 hours East of So-Fi Stadium. Mark LZ Rams hails from Northeast Florida.

Mark's 3 key points: 1. Super Bowl Hangover. The Bills had an intensity that the Rams couldn't match. 2021 is over now. The celebration is done; it's a new year and we need to play angry. 2. Offensive scheme was predictable, unimaginative, ineffective, and just plain dull. 3. Defensive scheme was too passive. We need an aggressive defense and you develop that with more press coverage.
