Despite health struggles following his military service, Paul feels fortunate and uses writing as a form of therapy to deal with PTSD. He also wanted to find a way to give back to other veterans who struggle with everyday life which led him to do the show on the Going Solo Network. He and his wife make their home in northern Virginia, where he currently works for a federal agency and serves as an adjunct professor, teaching for a local college. A bit more about Lieutenant Michael Ferrari... Michael Ferrari is a New York native who enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1975 and following a series of assignments as an enlisted man was commissioned an Ensign in May of 1988. He completed a twenty-one year career retiring as a Lieutenant after serving as an Aviation Maintenance Limited Duty Officer and officer technical manager which included support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1991.
After retiring, Michael worked with Boeing Commercial Airplanes and currently works for a Federal Agency in the Aviation Industry. More about Operation Helping Hand: Operation Helping Hand Tampa, an all-volunteer 501c3 organization, provides support and assistance to active duty service members and veterans of all conflicts post 9/11/2001 who receive care through the James A Haley Polytrauma Rehabilitation Unit. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting therapeutic rehabilitation programs (music, art, dance, virtual reality, gaming), direct in-patient care and support for patient families. A bit more about guest, Chan Chau, a retired Marine Master Sergeant, who recently completed his twenty-three year career in 2018. Chan spent his time in the Corps in a variety of assignments as an aviation professional and had tours of duty in such locations as the Mediterranean, Thailand, Japan and Africa. He also supported such operations as Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chan spent part of his career in one of the toughest assignments an NCO could have, as a Marine Corp Recruiter in Manhattan, New York. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, Dawn, and three children Catherine, Addison, and Jack.

Veteran’s Corner welcomes Chan Chau, a retired Marine Master Sergeant, who recently completed his twenty-three year career in 2018. Chan spent his time in the Corps in a variety of assignments as an aviation professional and had tours of duty in such locations as the Mediterranean, Thailand, Japan and Africa. He also supported such operations as Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chan spent part of his career in one of the toughest assignments an NCO could have, as a Marine Corp Recruiter in Manhattan, New York. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, Dawn, and three children Catherine, Addison, and Jack.

Bill Scott is a retired Marine Master Sergeant, who’s twenty-four year career as an aviation maintenance specialist culminated in 2010. Bill also spent multiple tours as a Marine Corps Recruiter guiding young people, looking for direction into the military.
