In today’s episode, Marsha shares about her latest health challenge with Achenbach Syndrome. What the heck is that? This RARE condition involves sudden swelling, tingling, and discoloration in fingers or toes. It has no known cause and is not associated with other health conditions, and usually resolves within days. Sounds so fun! Just kidding. Finding a physician who finally took time to listen and find the root cause was huge for her.

Marsha also nerds out about NLP as per usual.

Today we are speaking with the Motivational Speaker, Kristina Coccoluto. Kristina is a previvor, born with the BRCA1 mutation, leaving her with an 87% lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer and a 60% risk of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She took her circumstances into her own hands and began her marathon journey as a distraction before having a risk-reducing double mastectomy. Raising funds and awareness for the cancer community for almost a decade, she knew she could serve others on a deeper level, but didn't quite know the direction to take. And last year, as she crossed the Boston finish line, 28 weeks after a complete hysterectomy everything she had endured began to make sense. Kristina is a wife, mom of 3 kiddos, melanoma survivor, and a 3 star Abbot World Major Marathoner and she's not done yet. Kristina is stepping into her purpose by using her voice as a motivational speaker to empower others, advocate for change, and provide hope for those facing their own mortality. In this episode, we dive into:

1) How marathon running became a distraction from all that she was experiencing regarding the double mastectomy and complete hysterectomy. That distraction started her growth, expansion, and learning how far her story could reach others and show them that they too could choose to do the thing that expanded them.

2) Motherhood, choosing yourself first, being the example for your kids, and all the messy steps people don’t always see. In this process of her story reaching places she couldn’t even foresee before she started, her story is reaching people globally, and she is continuing to grow into seeing what is possible with her story. In today’s episode, we are talking about how to listen to our bodies, how our bodies speak to us every single day, and how when we don’t listen it will force us to listen and pay attention whether it is convenient or not. In this episode, we dive into:

1) Sue shares a story of how her body had a small setback/flare and it opened up the doors to the podcast today. We open up about shame, our heart, how our body holds onto it, and what it is doing to our bodies, and how we can release it.

2) We dive into the relationship between the fascia (our subconscious mind) and how it responds to stressors and triggers, and how it puts us into this perpetual state of constriction which is blocking flow, ease, and opportunities that are available for us. We create change by consciously being aware and interrupting our subconscious patterns that are on repeat every single day. 3) We have to stop going through life so robotic and unconscious and bring ourselves back to the present moment. Be consciously aware of the patterns that are on repeat. Build a practice and relationship with yourself on a daily basis and see what is working and what is not working. This inventory is feedback which builds a better relationship with ourselves. Today we are speaking with the Transformational Speaker and Best-selling Author, Kute Blackson. Kute is a beloved inspirational speaker and transformational teacher. He speaks at countless events he organizes around the world as well as at outside events including A-Fest, YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization), and EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organization). He is a member of the Transformational Leadership Council, a select group of one hundred of the world’s foremost authorities in the personal development industry. Winner of the 2019 Unity New Thought Walden Award, Blackson is widely considered a next generation leader in the field of personal development. His mission is simple: To awaken and inspire people across the planet to access inner freedom, live authentically and fulfill their true life’s purpose.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Kute shares his early childhood years, and how he was exposed to such incredible amounts of personal development and growth from a young age. He was in the environment of spirituality, meta-physical studies, meditation and being ordained at the age of 14 by his dad and traveling to the United States to attend a personal development conference as a young teen. He was continuously being exposed to what was possible.

2) He bought the Tony Robbins tapes and listened to them daily at 11, and then a $500 investment in the Jim Rohn’s tapes at 12 and 13. He would spend hours reading a day, and became engrossed in his spiritual growth journey. This experience led him to having strong visualizations of becoming an author and an empowerment speaker from a very young age. 3) Kute shared how he actively practiced seeing his future goals coming to life, speaking to empty chairs, believing he was inspiring a room full of people, and following his calling and gifts. He practiced this while learning the power of surrender and trusting the intelligence of life and what is planned and available for us. We are co-creating with the universe by what we say yes and no to and how we learn to surrender.

Today we are back! We are so excited to be back podcasting and sharing with you today. We have been on a journey of healing over the last few months. Today we want to talk about stress and how it affects our mind, our productivity and how we can find ways to support ourselves as we navigate life.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Sue shares her experience of being in a sweat lodge and how her body felt after that experience. Marsha shares her experience of weekly infrared saunas and how it has supported her stress levels and nervous system. They both encourage you to look for things that can be pulled in quickly that can give your body that kind of impact and restorative experience that is accessible.

2) Look for ways to settle your nervous system supporting recovery and rest, as opposed to doing and adding more, it is finding ways to encourage our bodies to rest, recharge and release the things our bodies are not meant to hold onto. The heat, saunas, infrared saunas and sweat lodges help our bodies to release deep nervous system stress and further promote healing.

Today we are sharing a tribute to our friend and fellow author, Amber Nicole who we recently lost on March 7th. Through this vulnerable and open conversation we honour Amber and the impact she had on us and on anyone else who had the privilege of knowing her. Amber was one of the authors published in "Every Body Holds A Story" in 2022, and her chapter was titled “I’m Not Still Here By Accident.” Amber was brilliant, incredibly talented and a gift to all of our lives. In this episode we dive into:

1) Our experience in losing a dear friend, the emotions, the importance of our words, speaking in terms of dying by suicide, what this experience has been like to witness, and how we have been processing the loss of Amber and from attending her Celebration of Life.

2) The trauma that our body holds onto, how it continues to stack up and our body works to process, make sense of and avoid our emotions. We explain how the conscious and the subconscious mind works, how the subconscious mind works to protect us from painful memories and experiences. We talk about different modalities that can be used to support ourselves and our bodies as we work to heal from trauma and challenges. 3) Both Sue and Marsha pay their own personal tributes in this episode to Amber and address a difficult topic, which they know and believe that Amber would love for them to not shy away from this conversation. At the end of this episode, Sue shares a song that Amber played and sang for her when Sue’s mom passed away in 2022. This is a song by Snow Patrol called, “Chasing Cars.”

Today we are unpacking and talking about the feelings of overwhelm and how it feels in our body. Sue openly shares her feelings of overwhelm and together they unpack it and reframe it to shift the energy. This is a powerful conversation of in the moment reframing, rewording and working through Sue’s feelings and emotions as her business is growing and expanding. Feelings of overwhelm are focused on the future events that aren’t even here yet. In this episode we dive into:

1) Sue openly shares how her self care game has improved and she’s made her health and fitness a priority. Now as her business grows and she is receiving referrals, sometimes it is the fear of success that is more of the issue than the fear of failure. We reference the book The Big Leap and how we tend to upper limit ourselves as we expand. Marsha also references the book, The Gap and The Gain by Dan Sullivan, and it is a great reference book especially as our business continues to grow.

2) A question to ask yourself is what will happen if you don’t allow your business (or whatever your goal is) to grow and what will happen if you do allow it to grow. What will change if you do and what will change if you don’t go after what you want? For most people it comes down to being clear on what you want success to look like, feel like, what your priorities are, and we dive into the topics of scripting and this certainty that what is for us won’t miss us, it’s our job to take care of ourselves to be the best version of ourselves. 3) Marsha refers to change at the identity level, and how once we determine the identity change, we continue to show up with the person who has those behaviours, habits, thoughts, taking those consistent choices. She also shares the “wouldn’t it be cool” scripting game that is really empowering. We talked about the power of our words and how it shifts the energy to change our words from overwhelm to expansion. Join the OUTSPOKEN NLP Coaching Certification

Today we are sharing our thoughts on collaboration over competition and during this episode we share some real life examples of where collaboration is working and where it isn’t. In this episode we dive into:

1) Practicing collaboration can still allow us to earn what we are worth and it doesn’t block us from creating what we are here to create. Together they share a couple of examples of proof where collaborations are working and when they’re not working.

2) When people sit in an energy of lack and are afraid of collaboration, that is a belief that they are holding onto and it requires changing that belief before they will see the value of collaboration. Marsha refers to Brendon Buchard’s mastermind where he hosted some of the most successful and impactful entrepreneurs in one room to learn from each other. From this experience Mel Robbins shared that the belief that the person doing the same thing as you is your competition is what is blocking you from your next level of success. 3) To state the obvious, both Marsha and Sue are so passionate about collaborative books, as they published their first volume last year, and are currently onboarding authors for volume 2 of Every Body Holds A Story, and Marsha is writing her second solo book this year. If you are ready to dedicate some time for writing a collaborative or a solo book, reach out to Marsha or Sue on social media or join the Facebook group link in the show notes. In this episode I am speaking with Life coach, Entrepreneur and Inspirational Speaker, Michael Brovac. Michael is a certified holistic life coach from Hamilton Ontario Canada. He specializes in helping individuals accomplish and achieve set out goals with the objective of becoming full filled within their own life. He spent 18 years within a hospital and has now taken that knowledge into coaching individuals struggling with similar challenges he once struggled with. In this episode we discuss:

1) Michael’s story, what he experienced from spending years in the hospital, losing his brother to the same disease, and being in the state of planning his suicide to completely changing his life over the last 4 years and now finding his purpose, passion and mission in life. When he hit the point of deciding to do whatever it takes to become the Michael who had the identity of a survivor. 2) As parents we recognize that we are only part of the equation, and we pray that the right people will cross our kids path to help show them what is possible. This is the role that Michael is now becoming for others as he helps others in hospital, by openly speaking about beliefs, identities, and thoughts. 3) Michael shares how his body and health do well when he continues to stay diligent in taking care of it and making it a priority. He doesn’t have a huge margin for error in his life, such as processed foods and sugars, caffeine, alcohol, etc, and his body will crash and he will generate hives. He has to continue to be accountable and has learned how not to be ashamed of this. Long term accountability with his health and ownership for taking care of himself is where it all starts. 4) The power of community and how it completely reshaped his mindset and beliefs to what is possible. He has allowed himself to be completely surrounded by and receive the support that is available for him, and he will continue to pay it forward in his mentoring, coaching and continuing to raise funds and support kids in the hospital through the foundation CAM-O, named after his late brother, Cameron. Today we are sharing our first episode of 2023. We chat about health, personal challenges, changes in 2023, and we loop it into recognizing and celebrating our Canadian World Juniors team that recently won the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championships. In this episode we dive into:

1) Health, Marsha’s health and weird things as a redhead and a lifetime of challenges with her health and how her body responds to allergies and infections. We work so hard to feel good, and then when we are sick we say we will feel so grateful when we feel better and then when we do, we forget what it feels like to not feel good. It’s important to appreciate and not take our health for granted.

2) Health goals and priorities as we move into the new year, and the consistency of strength and resistance training especially for women as we continue to age and lose muscle so easily. They also talked about the benefits of an infrared sauna and how speaking your vision to life can make things happen. Speak all your visions to life, and know that most people won’t see it until you keep speaking it into life. 3) As we are in a new year, be willing to turn the page and stop rereading and repeating the same pages over and over again. Put the old book, with your old identity on the shelf and start a new book. Those lessons you learned are already in your body and embedded in your cells, you don’t need to re-read them any longer. 4) The Malcolm Gladwell quote of 10,000 hours and how the world junior hockey players are a great example of the 10,000 hours in order to craft their skills. This is exactly the same rule that applies to all of us in our lives as we continue to pivot and shift and change our identities. Every time we start a new role, a new identity, we still need to accumulate 10,000 hours to fully become our new identity. Join the OUTSPOKEN NLP Coaching Certification

Today we are sharing our last episode of the year. We are celebrating the growth of a very challenging year that piggybacked on the past 2 years that were full of so many new experiences, identities and pivots in our businesses and personal lives. As we get ready to start 2023, it is important to recognize what we have learned, what we are clear on saying no thank you and yes, more please to, and what we are calling into 2023. In this episode we dive into:

1) Marsha shares some thoughts on her NLP Trainers Certification Experience and the importance of continuing to be a student. We cannot take our clients where we haven't gone ourselves first. We always go first.

2) Sue shares some insight into her experience with scripting and the importance of creating more quiet time or space in 2023 for meditation and receiving the most aligned clients. There’s so many nuggets in this conversation.

3) When it comes to scripting, they both share how scripting and affirmations require first taking inventory for the lessons in 2022 and being grateful for all of the experiences. This also requires speaking out loud the direction you are moving into, not in what you are lacking or missing in your life. It is a very slippery slope with our language to speak into what we don’t want more of or what we don’t have instead of what we are calling into our lives. Use the language in the present tense of “I AM, I have, I do”. Also using the phrase, “wouldn’t it be cool if…” to allow your subconscious mind to show you what you are wanting more of in your life. 4) If writing is in your future in 2023, we invite you to connect with Marsha or Sue on either IG or Facebook to enquire about being a collaborative author in the next editions of Every Body Holds A Story, if you would like to join the writing space, or if you would like to pursue writing your solo book and write alongside them both, then don’t hesitate, reach out to join them in January.

Today we are speaking with Astrologer, Courtney Burns. Courtney is here on a mission to make the world a better place by helping people align with their true bravely beautiful selves. Courtney has built a brand called Bravely Beautiful Brand, and supports others to live in alignment with their soul and their soul’s mission instead of what they think the world expects of them. In this episode we dive into:

1) Courtney shares her lifelong interest in Astrology that started when she was younger with reading horoscopes and then when the pandemic hit, she dove into something she loved and started her business doing astrological readings for people in their life and in their business.

2) Jupiter is the planet that brings a lot of goodness, abundance and expansion and sometimes expansion can be a lot for us in our physical being and staying grounded in ourselves during expansion can be challenging, and Jupiter was in Pisces in 2010, and is now back in Pisces. 3) Courtney recommended going to https://www.astro.com and shared how we’ve all been growing through an inner expansion and it will lead to an outward expansion near the end of 2022. She explains how 3 planets were meeting up in 2020, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn, and this created an unfortunate divide and a lot for humans to go through. Now we are literally in a process of letting go and rebuilding in our own lives and how that affects the collective. We are growing our nervous system to hold this expansion.

Today we are talking about our nervous system: how learning to calm our nervous system can change our state, how we rest and recover, and ultimately how this process can allow us to dream. We still don’t fully understand how our dreams work at the cellular level and it’s absolutely fascinating to think about.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Marsha’s combined experience of the NLP Breakthrough Day, the experience with a shaman at a live event, her visceral body reactions and releasing parts of her masucline energy and how hard it’s been for her body that has spent most of her life in the fight or flight experience.

2) Our bodies have to feel safe in our personal space in order to release something, let go, to surrender and when we find ourselves in this space of safety we can release more of what isn’t serving us. The feelings of safety always come from inside of us first, others can contribute to our feelings of safety or feeling unsafe in our bodies.

3) When we can learn to find our calm state more easily, our nervous system is calmer, we are respecting our body, we can rest more soundly and deeply. The wins keep stacking up and we can continue to feel better, which only improves our health, mindset, nutrition and decision making skills. Rest is queen and being able to rest allows us to dream even bigger.

Today we are talking about Marsha’s experience with a Shaman, during a live event, and after a month of massive transformation. We see others through our own lens and we also see ourselves through a different lens than how others see us. We can learn so much about misalignment and let it be our greatest teacher.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Marsha experienced a migraine during a trip out west and a speaking event and spent time with a Shaman who supported her to release the trapped emotions. During the process of releasing the trapped emotions she experienced a visceral release of explosive bowels, fevers, major nosebleeds and immense fatigue.

2) There comes a point where we actually purge our old selves, and let these pieces break away from us because we don’t need them any more. After spending most of her life in her masculine energy, because it was a survival technique, now she is learning to trust and embrace other ways of doing life and business which includes trusting the feminine energy more.

3) How our titles define us and we have to listen to our emotions, what our body is saying and how it is speaking to you, and sometimes that is as simple as changing from Coach to Trainer, or whatever feels like defines you at this point in your life.

Today we are talking about Marsha’s experience at her Masters of NLP Immersion, the Breakthrough Day Experience and some of her takeaways. The experience of releasing held/stuck emotions and feeling safe to be seen and releasing so much tension.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Marsha’s Breakthrough day collapsed years of coaching by getting to the root cause of some of her blocks and experiences as well as clarity on the lessons she learned. She was shocked at the emotions that came through and what the experience uncovered.

2) This experience unlocked a process of comparison, shame, masking and a loop on repeat, and then falling into a default of needing to do more to create change. This was uncovered using TIME Techniques which allows your subconscious mind to go back to its original triggers. The sequence to release the emotions goes in order of anger, sadness, fear, shame, guilt and hurt.

3) Trapped emotions can make it very confusing as to what is our emotions and what belongs to others. This work would be so important for our younger generation to learn, experience and embody.

Today we are speaking with Therapist & Life Coach, Jessica DeMarchis. Jessica is a licensed therapist, certified life and success coach, NLP practitioner, hypnotherapist as well as a registered yoga teacher. She helps high achieving women ditch the anxiety, doubt and stress through her integrative approach that blends her training in Western evidence-based psychotherapy with eastern philosophy. Jessica supports women through 1-on-1 and group coaching as well as her podcast- Un Learn to Level Up.

In this episode we dive into:

1) How we tend to follow the call to create or be the support that we wish we would have had when we were younger. We dove into the aspects of intergenerational trauma and how there are multiple ways to heal and how it starts with knowing that we are safe to start the healing process.

2) Self-preservation and healthy boundaries are key when it comes to healing. Build the awareness and the tips and tools to manage your thoughts which influences your emotional state which then influences your behaviours. Your state of being can change with consistent awareness and practices.

3) There is a huge correlation between high achieving women in business and the traumas they have experienced. Our internal state of being becomes the energetic baseline for how we operate every single day. Some have anxious states of being and others have lower energy states of being (feeling numb and not feeling), both are not supporting ourselves in business or in life.

Today we are talking about the book launch process and sharing some of the lessons that we learned from launching and releasing our first volume of Every Body Holds A Story

In this episode we dive into:

1) How important it is to stay in integrity, self-leadership and how you lead yourself in business is important especially when everything is going wrong. When you’re going through challenges and then not pushing that onto others is something that is very important for us. We each have our own priorities of integrity that we must stick to.

2) Another big takeaway in business is to make sure you work with someone who is not the same as you, work with people who balance you out.

3) The process of navigating mistakes or things we wish we could have done differently and this is all part of the process of publishing a book. We are always being challenged to let go of perfectionism as it is an emotion that will continually stop you from pursuing your dreams. It is imperfections that connect us far more than our perfections. Our focus continues to come back to being so proud of these authors and knowing how impactful their stories are for others.

Today we are speaking with a Board-Certified Nurse Coach / Life Alignment Coach, Shawne Arceneaux. Shawne is a Board-Certified Nurse Coach and a Life Alignment Coach. She helps others in the healing space find fulfillment and purpose in their work, while also guiding them to create the life and practice of their dreams.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Shawne shares her story of shifting from nursing to nurse coaching and then life coaching to continue to support others in their growth journey. We spoke about our inner child work, rewiring our past memories, and helping our inner child experience safety to support healing.

2) Shawne shared Brooke Castillo’s coaching model, also called “thought work”. There is a circumstance, it is a fact that is concrete. That circumstance creates a thought and that thought creates a feeling, shame, embarrassment or resentment. That feeling leads to an action that you do or do not take and that produces a result. Thought work is identifying the thought, the feeling, the action and the results. Using these key steps helped Shawne create change in her own personal life.

3) This is how Shawne built a better relationship with herself and this helped her to improve her self-talk over the years. These steps on repeat helped her to increase her awareness to sit with and understand her feelings and to move forward to create massive change in her body and life.

Today we are talking about how the bare minimum is enough. We as humans and entrepreneurs are in this perpetual loop of feeling like we never do enough. For a lot of us, our bare minimum, what we are accomplishing in one day is more than enough. We can easily become our own worst enemy by being hard on ourselves. We talk about how we can help ourselves to rest and recover faster, listen to what we need and give ourselves permission to plug in more to what we are feeling as opposed to being in a space of reacting and listening to what we need.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Recognizing that some days we can easily put out hours of work and other days we need a full recharge. Especially when we are in times of sprints, we have to look ahead and build in times for rest and recharge.

2) We always underestimate how important and vital our rest and recharge is. The recharge is huge for the body and mind. Marsha shares some subconscious tips and strategies to support herself when life feels like it is spiraling. Standing back and looking at your wins and comparing yourself to yourself.

3) Mastering our emotions is about learning how to manage our reactions to things, our emotions, can save our energy and our nervous system. Learning to disassociate, not pour emotions into things that are not ours to own, can save us from being on the energetic roller coaster. Detachment can save us so much time, resources and energy.

Today we are talking about Marsha's solo podcast, Own Your Choices Own Your Life and the massive amounts of growth that it has been experiencing. Podcasting is literally the personal growth journey of a lifetime.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Her podcast downloads in the month of August are currently more than all of the downloads in 2020. It’s been unreal to watch the growth and experience it all, and it’s been a journey of almost 5 years. Definitely not overnight growth.

2) The backend work of a podcast, starting it, the work involved and the upcoming entire rebrand moving the podcast to a YouTube channel with Sue’s help.

3) Marsha shares the early stages and story of starting her podcast and how she has continued to follow her gut and instinct even though so many people and mentors thought it wasn’t the right move or that it was too much to write a book and run a podcast. Together they also share how important it is for both Sue and Marsha to have something available to support others with free value and content.

Today we are talking about the fear in starting, pivoting and trying new things in their business and life. Both Marsha and Sue worked in an hourly profession before the pandemic, and had a long history in their careers, yet had to work through the fear on a regular basis. Together they ponder on what life would be like if they let fear stop them from taking those first few steps where they might be today as a result?

In this episode we dive into:

1) Marsha shared how she had the intuitive idea that she was done with her job as a Kinesiologist before it ended. She loved her clients, but knew physiologically she was mentally done with her job, it took the pandemic to force her into the position to change direction and career.

2) Sue shares how she took leaps, learned about myofascial release, how that piece opened up opportunities in her business when the pandemic hit, and then also how learning to implement the tech piece in her business in 2021, and how that knowledge and experience helps her work through the fear that could stop her from offering an online event. Knowledge and experience are powerful in overcoming fear..

3) Fear and doubt in the body are the exact same emotions. The more we stay in the fear the more our body releases cortisol and adrenaline and keeps us stuck in the fear, we are actually feeding it. The more we continue to work through the fear, the more we can create proof for ourselves that we are capable of far more than what we give ourselves credit for.

Today we are talking about the Lion’s Gate Portal energy that is in our life this week. Every year on August 8th, the Lion’s Gate activation portal peaks, as the number 8 is a symbol for infinity, this is a time of infinite possibilities and manifestations . This is a time of increased cosmic energy that is potent for manifestation and intention setting. This energy peaked on August 8th. We can expect major shifts in consciousness, accelerated changes, energy updates and upgrades. This time can also create a greater awareness of old wounds, and this is our opportunity to ascend beyond these self-imposed limitations or limiting beliefs. This week is an incredible opportunity to use our energy to bring in energy we desire as opposed to thinking about what we don’t want.

In this episode we dive into:

1) How to shift our focus to what we want to create, how we want to feel and what we are open to receiving. This can start with feeling and focusing on unconditional love and appreciation for what we currently have in our life, while allowing ourselves to desire more.

2) Allow ourselves to have the space to rest, give ourselves compassion and grace and listening to the support our body is requiring.

Today we are sharing the behind the scenes of each of our businesses, and all the different things both Marsha and Sue offer. They have both pivoted and shifted multiple times over the last 2.5 years and deep down they know that it has all been part of the process. As we all continue to grow businesses and give value in the virtual space, we have learned to share with conviction and continue to share unapologetically. It also requires listening to the signs, burning things down that don’t feel aligned and following the pull toward new opportunities. It is listening for the signs, getting into action when the downloads happen and allowing ourselves to receive all that is available for us. This is the real side of entrepreneurship that we are committed to showing our listeners.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Marsha shares her experiences of building her business and all the new offers that are coming in the last half of 2022. She will be opening up an NLP coaching certification program to support coaches, healers, speakers and authors in learning how to heal, own and share their stories. This program is opening up for presale in August and will begin in early 2023. Marsha also shares the download to start writing her second solo book and how she is ready to support 3-4 solo authors in the process.

2) Sue shares how her Work Space Mastermind was created out of a need to support people to get to work and bring their ideas to life. In her Work Space calls are run weekly and the entire focus is to stop thinking and get into action. Sue is also editing multiple podcast shows and supporting new podcasters to bring their idea to a finished product to be released.

Today we are speaking with Certified Master Clinical Hypnotherapist + Success Coach, Julie Costa. From paralegal + banking to personal trainer/group fitness instructor to being fired from a 10-year corporate career in business development + sales, Julie is now a Master Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Success Coach. Blending her background in business strategy with mindset work, Julie now helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses by incorporating hypnosis + subconscious reprogramming.

In the beginning stages of starting her first business, Julie was on a constant roller coaster of not feeling good enough, questioning her worth, and doubting whether she could achieve her big business goals. Working on her mindset and incorporating personal development was always important. And incorporating subconscious reprogramming, specifically hypnosis, truly changed everything for her. You see, once you reprogram the limiting beliefs that hold you back, the sky's the limit.

Julie is now passionate about sharing these modalities and tools with others!

In this episode we dive into:

1) Julie’s experience of being on a roller coaster of doubting herself, questioning her worth, and continuously looking outside of herself to find her worth, validation or trying to build business without going inwards and asking what felt in alignment with herself and her needs.

2) The experience of grief, losing her mom from a young age, and how that grief was buried in her body and in her subconscious mind. The more Julie shared her experiences of learning how to heal and reprogram her subconscious mind, it helped her to heal her past stories and so many other relationships in her life too.

3) The power of subconscious reprogramming, the importance of the conscious and subconscious mind working together, and how this work that she has done on herself in her own life has led to so much growth, expansion, joy and purpose in her own life. Now Julie is opening up her own coaching certification to share these tools with other coaches in their life and business too.

Today we are talking all about our bodies, energy, and how people are continually put in our path to help our growth, even though we don’t want it or don’t always see it. We share the concept of only being a few degrees off from our destination. So many times it feels like we are so far away from where we want to be and it may only be 1-2 choices or decisions off and when we take a tiny step of 3 degrees, we can create the change we are seeking.

In this episode we dive into:

1) The work never ends. We will continually be challenged by the others, our boundaries, and our experiences, and sometimes the switch is the buy into the belief that they are helping us to become what we are meant to become. These experiences aren't put in our paths to stop us, they are there to enhance what we are capable of doing and becoming.

2) It is our job and our responsibility to respond in a way that serves our highest good, and to put the boundaries in place to protect our energy.

3) We are never as far off as we think we are. Sometimes we are literally 3 degrees off, and it simply requires a tiny shift to create the changes we are searching for.

Today we are speaking with channeler, mutli-dimensional intuitive support platform, energy medicine attunement and clearing, Raven Blu Ramcharran.

Raven came into this world to empower others to stand in their own soul truth of reincarnation back into this world of reality. She was born a strong feeler, intuitive , channeler and have moved through this present existence as many everchanging roles since she was born. Raven’s last career was a massage therapist for the last 12 years which she explored many avenues of healing herself from body, energy, mind, heart, soul and spirit. She dove into a multi layer approach of healing oneselves. Currently she has shifted to the level of energy medicine and many other forms of metaphysical modules to explore what's beyond the 3D body form, of course not forgetting the physical form as it is as equal of a priority to pay attention to especially the nervous system.

Raven is also a channeler who transmits messages for others and humanity so she has many roles, and she has been led to many to support them on their journey into their gifts beyond the 5 senses & spiritual awakenings, affirming many that they are not alone on their soul journey. Messages come through in many forms such animals, lands, in the cards, past loved ones, angels , etc. It has been a process learning to ground in this reality as each day leads to so many unexpected adventures. Raven offers a muliti- dimensional approach to assist you on your own personal journey in this life and she’s excited to have fully switched onto this new platform of her own creation with support of many to be available to many as she begins to reach more of humanity in the online space as well as in person.

In this episode we dive into:

1) As humans feeling loved and supported is not the norm. We tend to feel isolated and alone and the only way to shift this is for us to go first, for us to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and to be open to receiving the support that is available for us.

2) How each family has one person who breaks their patterns, their generational traumas and ends up healing generations forward and back. This shifts the lineage 7xs in both directions. “If you are doubting if you are the one to break your family’s patterns, then you are most likely the one.” ~Ed Mylett

3) Raven explains the continuous subconscious purge of letting go of the things, concepts, ideas that are not serving us and how that can make room for so much more beauty and belief in our bodies.

Today we are talking all about being curious and allowing ourselves to be curious in our life. Whether we are balancing out our energies, mindset, our masculine and feminine energies, or whether we are talking about our health or mindset, all changes start by being curious and acknowledging what is working, what isn't or where we are wishing to create change in our lives.

In this episode we dive into:

1) It’s ok to be curious about what is serving us, what is working for us, what is not working for us, and going inward and listening to what we need.

2) We are constantly riding the waves and it’s ok to allow ourselves time to rest, embody what we are learning and then integrate and apply those lessons into our lives. We start this process by always checking in and allowing curiosity to guide us.

3) How we can deepen our relationship with ourselves, asking inner questions, and reflecting on the answers of what we need on a daily basis. It is a constant dance between the masculine and feminine energies.

Today we are speaking with ThetaHealing Practitioner and Career & Life Coach, Alana Ruoso. Alana is a certified ThetaHealing Practitioner and Career & Life Coach for those eager to release their limiting beliefs, ditch the struggle, and own their value.

After spending more than 20 arduous years in corporate as a brand manager, art director and graphic designer, Alana realized she simply could not keep going. She woke up every day feeling tired, anxious, fearful, and overcome with sadness, knowing her draining lifestyle was pushing her far, far away from healthy fulfillment. As a recovering people-pleaser, achievement addict, and toxic-workplace survivor, Alana is passionate about helping others reconnect with their true purpose and fall back into alignment.

Her journey into ThetaHealing has been unexpected and beautiful. She was inspired to jump feet-first into this work after her own coach asked a simple question: “How are you honoring your spiritual self?” Yikes! That was her cue to reconnect with herself and pivot towards the work she truly loves.

Read more about her passion for letting go of struggle in the article “Overextended and Tired of It? Here are 3 Ways to Get Your Life Back” as featured on Addicted2Success.com.

In this episode we dive into:

1) The Healing process, what that can look like, and how healing is about ongoing. When we are unaware of our own patterns, we continue to self-sabotage, continue to make it hard and full of struggle. Healing involves the shifting of these patterns, breaking the repeat patterns and making different choices.

2) Alana dove into her own history of healing herself, after dealing with years of migraines, and how her body continually gave her feedback throughout her life. She shared how she had to work through her fear especially when it came to experiencing symptoms similar to what her dad had experienced when he was sick with esophageal cancer.

3) ThetaHealing was one of the tools that Alana used and it was hugely impactful for managing her anxiety, her nervous system, hiatus hernia pain and related issues and consistent guided meditations brought her into a theta state to help support her healing. It was even more confirmation that her symptoms were not really about her diet, and more about emotional healing and also exercise for energy to move and release energy and anxiety.

Today we are talking all about communication, boundaries, respecting ourselves, and being clear on what we allow in our own lives. It seems and feels as though there is such a disconnect in our ability to communicate with others and how we need to be mindful of how our messages can be triggering for others when we are not coming from a good space.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Being so mindful of our reactions to other people and how we have to be aware of how we are responding to someone else’s message, content or how they may trigger us. There’s a difference between triggers and expanders. Our body is always talking to us, and we have to protect our energy especially when it is being affected by others.

2) Giving yourself permission unfollow, block, mute, people who are triggering you, and they are not going to change, so be super mindful that you are not expending a ton of energy on someone that you have no prayer of changing.

3) There’s a difference between avoiding something or someone, and choosing not to allow that energy or behaviour into our space. When we choose not to allow something then it is respecting our boundaries and that is coming from a much higher self and respecting our own needs. It still comes back to ownership and calling ourselves out on what we know isn’t working.

Today we are diving into a few the feeling of growth, entrepreneurship, imposter syndrome, and to allow ourselves to learn as we grow. As we learn to appreciate how far we’ve come, then we are continuing to raise the bar of what is possible, which only continues to build our confidence and courage to continue. We are continually gathering proof and believe and buy into whatever story we believe to be true.

In this episode we dive into:

1) Taking the scary steps to embrace growth because it is scarier to stay where we are. Marsha shares here thoughts on standing in the gains, appreciating our growth and accomplishments so that we can gather proof of what is possible.

2) As an entrepreneur, we have to allow our content to live on, we have to give ourselves grace and compassion, letting go of the attachment to the outcome, and trusting that the people who will benefit from your message will find you.

3) We talked about the fear, how it stops us, how feeding the fear only allows the doubts to grow, and because we care we want our clients to be successful, happy and that we have served them well. When the fear shows up, we are making it about ourselves. The best way to shift that is to make it about someone else? Who can we think of helping to get out of our own way.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha are sharing some thoughts on energy, how important it is when we are showing up to build our businesses and how to set criteria when it comes to choosing mentorship. They also share how close they are to seeing the book cover templates and how the first edition of Every Body Holds A Story Collaborative Book.

In this episode we discuss:

1) How important it is to pay attention to our energy in our life and business. Our energy is our responsibility and it starts with paying attention to what fills us up and what doesn’t. We also tied this into choosing mentorship and setting criteria for what we choose to surround ourselves with, and there is no strategy that can help you when your mindset is needing support.

2) How to be mindful of the energy we are carrying that is not ours to carry. We spend so much time carrying opinions, thoughts, emotions that aren’t ours to carry and when the universe brings us ideas and opportunities, we can’t take a step forward because our hands are full of things that aren’t ours to hold onto.

3) We spoke briefly about responding to all of the challenges, trauma that surround us every day. We have to remember that we get to choose what we see, what we surround ourselves with and what we consume. We get to choose the energy we get to be in everyday and find ways to be kinder to ourselves on a daily basis.

4) Upcoming over the next few weeks we will be interviewing a number of our authors on the podcast and sending in Every Body Holds A Story Volume 1 into the editor. We are so proud of the journey these authors have come through in sharing their story. Pre-sales will be coming for Volume 1 very soon. In this episode, Sue and Marsha are sharing some tips on what to do when life is completely throwing you challenges, personal, health, family, and how can you still show up as your best self? As humans we are carrying a lot right now, we are humans having an unbelievable experience, holding a ton of different emotions, and some days it can be hard to be a human right now.

In this episode we discuss:

1) The importance of compassion and if you haven’t heard from a friend in a while, don’t jump to conclusions, judgements or make it about you. Instead reach out, connect, hold space with no expectations. We can all be part of the ripple effect and humans need more and more support.

2) “You are the sum of the 5 people you surround yourself with”, Jim Rohn. This is financially, spiritually, relationships, growth, etc. You can choose who you surround yourself with and be open to brand new relationships. Don’t be afraid to surround yourself with people who will challenge you and call you out as needed.

3) The only constant is change, yet as humans we constantly resist this. Since we are under constant change and difficult experiences, where can we intentionally reach out to others and offer support or kindness?

4) Upcoming over the next few weeks we will be interviewing a number of our authors on the podcast and sending in Every Body Holds A Story Volume 1 into the editor. Cora-Lynn explains how manifestation is grounded in neuroscience and how it starts by looking at our negative thoughts, the reasons for the stories, finding the evidence to disprove our thoughts, and the actions required to create the changes needed. In this episode, Sue and Marsha are sharing what happens when we stand up together in solidarity, as they discuss the truck drivers convoy that is happening across Canada right now. Their decisions to stand up and make a statement that impacts so many of us truly makes us proud to be Canadian. They are also discussing how more and more people are inspired by other people’s stories and this is one of the big reasons why they are so passionate about sharing our stories.

In this episode we discuss:

1) How more and more people are done with the division in our society and how we are all craving connections and this is now shifting because of some very brave humans who are choosing to stand up for what they feel is right.

2) We talked about bravery, courage and vulnerability as so many people are hoping that someone else will speak up at this difficult time. We tend to admire this in others as courage yet we judge it in ourselves as weakness. We all have bravery inside of us and we can all choose to leave these messages with others because it creates more impact for the world.

3) As the first volume of Every Body Holds A Story is getting ready to go to the editor, the doors are open for the next round of authors and we are starting the writing process in the first week of March. There is a link below or connect with us to apply to be an author in Volume 2 and the special edition on Brain Health. If this speaks to you, please apply!

4) Our experience with Lindsay Anderson from My Core Collective when she went through talking to us about Gene Keys and how to embrace the shadow parts of ourselves instead of fighting or judging those sides of ourselves. When you don’t trust yourself it can look like bailing, pausing for a long time, overthinking, afraid of failing and lots of mind chatter. When you trust yourself it’s silent, this feeling or knowing of “I’ve got this.”

2) “Be willing to stay with the suck.” Don’t push the uncomfortable feelings away or avoid them. Nothing will change by doing that. Learn to feel the emotions and face the discomfort head on, knowing that everything is temporary. Our uncomfortable moments can lead us to positive changes by removing something that isn’t working.

3) Suicidal ideations and the struggle and mental health journey that involved feelings of suicide. Danielle was incredibly vulnerable sharing her experience as well as the avocado tattoo that she got to remind her that the light can always hold the darkness, even when the darkness doesn’t go away. Feelings are temporary and seeing, feeling and recognizing them has allowed Danielle to learn to move through her emotions as opposed to avoiding them.

4) Danielle’s words on how to learn to let go of the need to control her emotions, and this quote was so powerful, “When you try to control what is outside of your control, it ends up controlling you.” By learning to feel her emotions as opposed to avoiding them, it has allowed her give others permission to do the same and realize that they are not alone.

As humans we search for proof that we can or can’t achieve our goals, so it is easier to focus on the intentions and how we choose to consistently show up in the world.
Being the new year, they are talking all about alignment, core values, nutrition, health and the consistency required to be our best selves.

In this episode we discuss:

1) The power of consistency, listening to what we need, following through to help ourselves be our best selves in regards to our health, nutrition, boundaries, and what we choose to surround ourselves with.

2) We talked about how so many of us make choices re the food, nourishment that we take into our bodies tends to come as a result of wanting to feel good. We are speaking from a space of working to encouraging and supporting ourselves to be our best advocate.

3) The power of core values, living in alignment within ourselves, and the awareness of the constant friction we are creating for ourselves, and then we don’t trust ourselves and then we are searching outside of ourselves for alignment, justification or proof of what we want to do.

4) We highlighted the authors of our current book that are just going into the editing process, and how incredible it is that these authors are sharing their stories and the answers and solutions that worked for them. The impact and reach of these stories will be incredible!

In this episode, Sue and Marsha are celebrating Episode #50! Together they are sharing the journey, the experiences of the past year, the incredible people they interviewed, and what they have learned over this past year. They are also giving a glimpse of what is coming ahead in 2022!

In this episode we discuss:

1) The journey of personal development is literally a journey and it never stops. We discuss the idea of connecting the dots as we look at life in reverse, and sitting in trust of the fact this dot will connect somewhere in our future.

2) The journey of struggle, change, growth, persistence and honouring who we are and the growth that we are experiencing. We also discussed how a personal development journey is our own journey and we can never force anyone to be in the same space as we are.

3) The health challenges and stories that are currently happening and unfolding and how this feels like the beginning of more health stories to come.

4) Together they share the episodes that impacted them the most this past year. There were so many interviews with men that were fantastic, and so many stories shared. This is the tipping point of sharing stories of bodies and the healing journey. 2022 is going to be more stories, more books, more programs and continued awareness of the power of our bodies and the stories they hold.

Today we are speaking with Marketing & Web Strategist Chantal Gatien. Chantal has run a successful digital marketing agency for the last 5 years. Through this time, she realized she was taking the power away from women who were wanting to run an online business. She was doing all the right things for them to grow their business but she soon realized that she wasn't empowering them to understand their own business. She now focuses on teaching women the technical side of running and scaling her online business through Designed to Scale with her partner Cora-Lynn Hazelwood.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Chantal’s story of early challenges and embracing how that led her to where she is now today. Her experiences and how open she is with them helps her to create safe spaces with no judgment for others. As Chantal shares her story, she shows how she truly was Built for This.

2) Chantal has an incredibly real and raw approach and is so grounded in how she shows up in her life and business. She truly wants to show other entrepreneurs, business owners and people what is possible and how to do it in the most simplest way possible.

3) How when we are in alignment and following our gifts, skills and purpose, we can build an incredible business and have a life too. There are times that we are living our life, our well roundedness that we are actually showing others what is possible.

Today we are speaking with SaraMae Hollandsworth. SaraMae is a Wellness Executive + Entrepreneur, Physical + Spiritual Fitness Expert, Double Certified Health Coach & Personal Trainer, Speaker, Writer, and Athlete. SaraMae Hollandsworth had over 20 years of experience as a health and fitness expert and entrepreneur. She is a high-performance athlete and trainer who suffered a near-life-ending infection that landed her in life support and in a coma and ultimately caused her to have both legs amputated below the knees. Her story is one of rising from rock bottom and near-death to rebuild her life better, stronger, healthier, and happier than before. To repurpose her pain into power, purpose, and potential. She is committed to using her story to help others heal, thrive, and fulfill their God-given purpose.

In this episode we discuss:

1) The experience that SaraMae went through with multi-system organ failure and being placed in a coma for 2 weeks. Every time they attempted to take her out of the coma, she would crash and it was a miracle that she came out of her coma and survived. She describes her time in the hospital in detail and what her body went to, how her kidneys shut down, how her weight changed from the fluid in that time.

2) The process from the beginning in the hospital to the time of limb salvage to the actual amputation of both legs was almost 1 year in time and that process then led to having her hip replaced twice as it is potentially where the infection started.

3) The foundations of the healing process and how SaraMae was all about the physical aspect of taking care of herself and when that was taken away from her for a year, she had to dive into the emotional, spiritual, and feminine side of the healing process. This also allowed her to come back even stronger physically. She dove into the concept of “Savage Surrender”, forgiveness, letting go, and what a spiritual awakening can actually look like.

Today we speak with Coach Paul Casey. After spending his teenage years, 20’s and early 30’s in and out of incarceration, he made a huge mindset shift. When his mom passed in 2013 he gave up on life and went down a very dark hole which eventually led him to a fork in the road, he had to change everything or end up dead. The day he finally reached out for help was one of the hardest yet most freeing moments of his life. By participating in every self-help group or college class offered and reading every book on physical, mental, and emotional health he could get his hands on while still in prison, he changed his mindset and the direction of his life.

In his mother’s honor, he now helps people transform themselves into their healthiest, happiest, and most confident selves. He has helped 100’s of people get in the best shape of their lives. He is the owner of A Better You Fitness LLC and creator of the Better Body series. He is a certified personal trainer through ISSA, certified Group fitness instructor through ACE, certified OTF coach, water Rower, and TRX Certified.

In this episode we discuss.

1) This episode dives into all things addiction, time in prison, self-worth, and connection. Paul’s destructive path started in his young teens and he spent most of his 20’s incarcerated and he shares the experience, lessons learned, and how he is now using these lessons to pay it forward to others.

2) “If you don’t know where you are going, you will likely end up there.” When Paul made a plan it helped it to focus on the daily actions of what he had to do to create the change he wanted to have in his life. Now he spends time and energy focusing on things he wants to train for such as half marathons and helping others with their exercise programing to feel better and more functional.

3) Paul’s passion in giving back to youth and supporting others with the lessons he learned on his journey. This gives so much purpose to his journey and allows him to continue to make an impact on others. One of his messages that rings through is “everything is a blessing”, and that is such an incredible mindset shift and belief. So powerful.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about our bodies, trapped trauma, and how we are holding onto this in our bodies Over the past few weeks, they’ve interviewed a number of women who have or are experiencing endometriosis as a result of past traumas, sexual assault or sexual abuse. There seems to be a shift of women recognizing the need to normalize and realize the effect of these trapped emotions and trauma in our bodies. This is not only about endometriosis, but it also is about the autoimmune response in the body and how it holds onto these emotions and it creates blocks in our bodies and in our emotions.

2) Marsha shares how Sue’s work of myofascial release and teaching her how to use her own hands to support her fascia while she was in the hospital during her back surgery in 2020.

3) The nervous system holds onto all of these emotions and over time this trauma, memories are trapped in the body. We can also teach and heal the nervous system to respond differently and to actually calm down the nervous system.

4) Marsha shares how she was resentful and angry to go through the prep for her back surgery, yet at the same time, it is the reason that led to building the connection with Sue that led to the entire platform of Every Body Holds A Story. This podcast, upcoming book, and a new program to support these women will be launching later in November and starting in January 2022.

Today we are speaking with the Founder and CEO of R.I.S.E. Media, Podcast Host and Mindset, and High-Performance Coach Susanne Puerschel. As a former professional Ballerina, Susanne had the privilege to be raised behind the iron curtain, exposing her to the possibility to not only receive elite training but also to understand and see firsthand the power community. Susanne is the Founder of Pointe To Rise, an Empowerment society for dancers, podcast host, former international ballerina, Founder of R.I.S.E Media, and experienced principal chief executive officer. She's dedicating her time now, after working in cooperate America and running her own businesses, to building community among performing artists, providing mindset and high-performance coaching, and building R.I.S.E Media that will be the springboard to revitalizing the performing arts.

In this episode, we discuss:

1) Susanne’s turning point of recognizing that 3 years ago she was on a journey working on living up to someone else’s expectations, and through a live event that we all attended (even though we didn’t know each other yet), and that was a turning point for her to realize that she wanted to live and leave a legacy for herself and her family.

2) The healing process that Susanne has worked through over the years, in her body, as a women, and exercising to feel better and not because she had to. This process helped her to go inwards to ask her inner self what she needs every day instead of pushing, competing, and comparing herself to what others are doing.

3) Worthiness, lack of worthiness, and how this is something as women that we keep learning and re-learning. We must embrace our worthiness in order to allow ourselves to expand into what is possible.

4) Susanne shared how learning to let go of her past identities, the stories that she was feeding, and the limiting beliefs that go with it, and how all of those steps have helped her to grow into who she has become today.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the energy of this time and how it can stem to be part of the experience of grief. As we are in a state of feeling loss of control, this feeling of being out of control can bring the worst out in us because as humans we like to know that we have control. Emotions are high, people are experiencing fear, anger, and collectively we are all going through change knowing that are continuously creating a new norm. The world is calling for more empathy, compassion, kindness, and sharing our light with others.

In this episode we discuss:

1) A friend shared this quote, “we are all in the same storm right now, but we are all in different boats. Some of us are in rubber dingy’s and some of us are in yachts.” This is a reminder to respect and honour our boat and do what we need to do on a daily basis to keep our boat afloat. This might even mean having time to stop paddling and rest.

2) “It is easier to be angry than it is to be afraid.” ~ Mel Robbins. To sit with our fear is more uncomfortable. Don’t avoid it, push it away or resist it. Get curious, ask more questions and ask if you choosing anger because it is hurting you, it is hurting others, and it is still not a solution to a problem.

3) Whatever we are holding onto, the emotions, the fear is not just a simple emotion. It is seeping into our body, our cells, and only creating further anxiety. Trying something new to release the energy, such as dancing, singing, crying, card pulling, or whatever you need to do all day long to shift the energy.

4) If you are feeling as though you are struggling with your own personal boundaries and can feel your energy being affected by social media, media, or the news in general, step away and listen to what your body needs. Empathy for other humans starts with building compassion within ourselves first.

Today we are speaking with the Life Coach and Author, Robert Pardi. Robert, born in NYC, is one of those rare individuals who embrace change and live what he calls “possibility in action”. He received his MBA from Columbia University and was quickly recruited by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, one of the largest sovereign wealth funds. Shortly after, his wife Desiree, was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. Unfortunately, she passed 11 years later. In 2014, throwing caution to the wind, Robert leaped from his comfort zone. He changed careers and moved to the same Italian village his great grandfather immigrated from over 100 years ago. He is now a certified life coach, adjunct professor, international guest speaker, and the author of Chasing Life - The remarkable true story of love, joy, and achievement against all odds.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Robert shares his thoughts on our imperfections and how it relates to a mosaic or a kaleidoscope and how our imperfections add character and depth to our character.

2) The meaning we give to words like loss, grief, joy, and how our perspective can shift the meaning of all of it.

3) Robert dives into the expectations, how we continue to push through and not listen to or address what our body is dealing with. His body forced him to slow down, stop, be hospitalized, and actually grieve the loss of what he thought his life was supposed to look like.

4) The role of caregiving and how it is a challenging role, not one we are trained for, and the purpose is to support someone with living the remainder of their life. Caregiving is not fixing their health, it is supporting the family member through this time.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the energy in this post-election week and the closing of the first round of Every Body Holds a Story Collaborative Book. Today they are sharing some thoughts on protecting your energy, recognizing your self-talk, and taking inventory on a regular basis for what is or isn’t working.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Taking a regular inventory of what is working and what isn’t working right now. What do you need to add to your schedule that you know your body needs, or what can you take out of your schedule? What needs to be restocked, restarted, or added to your day?

2) The power of self-talk and being honest and real about the language you are using with yourself.

3) Just like inflation, we need to increase the value of our self-care and our self-care practices. Our self-care needs to increase on the same trajectory as our stressors.

4) The concepts of attachments, expectations, and controlling the outcome. This is the time to keep digging in, build your business, increase your self-care, make use of the time, be productive, and listen to what you need.

Today we are speaking with the Creator of The Groove Method™ and Body Groove and Founder of The World Groove Movement, Misty Tripoli. Misty is a Truth Warrior. Misty has been a movement and dance addict her whole life. In the early 2000’s, at the top of her game and under contract with NIKE as a Global Elite Athlete, Director of a top health club in California, and in-demand working with companies like Reebok, Sketchers, YogaWorks, and Equinox she was also severely bulimic, overworked and exhausted. She cracked.

When the illusion came crashing down she woke up to something extremely powerful and liberating: the Groove Truths. From here she launched her global company The World Groove Movement and shares her story and passion for movement, inspiring millions to come together and get their Groove on! She continues to travel the world igniting communities and encouraging hearts to come together to be authentic, creative and have as much fun as humanly possible

In this episode we discuss:

1) In the darkest moments of Misty’s life, when she was losing her identity and trying to keep up the facade of being a top trainer and struggling with bulimia, she had to focus on what her soul needed and it was dance and meditation. When she got quiet and let herself heal, she was able to hear the pull toward dance and meditation and healed her bulimia.

2) We were all created with incredible gifts and learning how to get out of our own way, learning how to stop stressing over the how’s allows so many things to unfold as they are supposed to.

3) We can dance before we can walk so at the core we are all capable of dancing, and it is such a release for our bodies to be able to move and dance. Try a Body Groove video on YouTube and it will remind you how good it feels to move in your body.

4) We chatted on the 5 universal truths. 1 - Nobody cares and if they do, it’s their problem. 2 - You are unique and not a copy of someone else, so do things that work for you. 3 - There’s no right or wrong way to dance. 4 - No one is going to do it for you, no one is coming to save you. 5 - You don’t know anything until you apply it.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the energy in the world right now and how to connect to our own internal compass. Our internal compass is the guide to how our body is feeling and handling the stress around us, as our bodies are giving us cues all day long. It is our job to tune in and take responsibility for our choices, decisions and responses. If we are feeling more reactive then it is our job to figure out what is missing or what we need to change in our own lives. We also discuss the identity changes and shifts we are experiencing right now.

In this episode we discuss:

1) The heightened energy in the world right now, and learning how to listen to what we need and pouring it back into ourselves. It is time to look at our own energy and know when we need to pull back and connect back to ourselves. We have to learn to tune into our nervous system and what it is telling us that we need, because our nervous system is regulating our behaviour.

2) That it is normal for our energy and emotions to change, we are still responsible for how we choose to respond. If you are in the space of being triggered or upset, check your responses and energy… if you wouldn’t say it to someone's face, please put the phone down and walk away.

3) Solution based thinking… both Marsha and Sue discuss the feelings of helplessness, especially right now, and this is a prime time to focus on solutions based thinking. This means focusing on why to what, and zeroing in on awareness to change the pattern to ultimately change our energy and mindset. This takes it back to ownership, choices, boundaries and self-care.

4) Every single relationship we have in our lives stems from our relationship with ourselves first. Marsha shares some tips, strategies of how she moved from living in anger, resentment and frustration to allowing herself to receive support from others.

Today we are speaking with the Founder of Inner Glow Circle and Author Katie DePaola. Katie is the author of At Least You Look Good: Learning to Glow Through What You Go Through and the founder of Inner Glow Circle, a life coaching school, which has grown into a globally recognized professional training and certification program. Through Inner Glow Circle, Katie built the first all women, all online ICF Accredited Coach Training course, helping thousands of women start businesses of their own.
In her #1 bestselling book, “At Least You Look Good”, Katie shares her most vulnerable and often funny reflections on how to deal with the hardest parts of life—and her best advice for women who want to “glow through what they go through.”

Katie is a fierce Mental Health Advocate, who grew her business from a self-funded startup to a million-dollar business. She has been featured in TIME, Entrepreneur and Forbes, as well as over 50 podcasts. She serves on the board of Bo’s Effort, a foundation in memory of her late brother Bo.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Katie shared her thoughts and perspective on seeing a gap in the coaching industry because she noticed so many women were trying to build a business, but weren’t able to find clients to build their business.

2) When we are sick it becomes very easy for the sickness to become part of our identity and it requires a shift in perspective and mindset to search for answers and choose a different identity.

3) How we make so many assumptions about others when we don’t have enough information. We are making quick judgements based on what we see or what we think we see in their lives on social media.

4) How people can live identical lives yet have completely different experiences all based on our perspective and mindset. We can choose what we see and that shift can change our entire experience.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the power of collaboration, connection, celebrations and how we can always be surprised at how the dots connect when we look at life in reverse.

In this episode we discuss:

1) The power of collaboration and celebration and how we can all create results so much faster by working together.

2) Honouring where the dots connected in the past and how the people in our life now, and the opportunities we have wouldn’t be a possibility if we didn't live those past experiences. Both Marsha and Sue reflect on their past businesses and how they both spent time in teaching others in classroom settings.

3) Marsha shares a message from her grandpa, “make decisions based on whether or not we would regret not saying yes or missing the opportunity”, and she uses this to make most of her decisions. This is the experience of no attachment to the results.

4) This is the second last week to join Every Body Holds A Story Collaborative Book, so if you are feeling called to learn how to share your story and become a published author, connect in the facebook group, link is below or fill out the application. Payment plans are available.

Today we are speaking with Registered Dietitian, Fitness Professional, Christine Coen. Over the last 10 years as a NYC based Registered Dietitian & fitness professional, Christine has transformed her practice from a traditional weight loss & aesthetic focus into a convergence of the powerful impact of movement & nutrition on mental health. Christine’s own battle & eventual overcoming of depression, anxiety, & emotional eating sparked this change, as movement became her “antidepressant” and was a major catalyst in her recovery.

Today, Christine coaches women to take empowered action & move their body every day to relieve symptoms of anxiety & depression while expanding their capacity to enjoy life! Her non-diet approach to health, where weight loss focus is actually put on the back-burner, has surprisingly increased the success her clients have in feeling their best- mentally & physically. Wake Up Your Warrior, her special daily 22 Minute Warrior Workout Program is available to anyone who wants to join a virtual community of people dedicated to taking their life back while discovering a deeper meaning for improving their wellbeing. Come sweat with us!

In this episode we discuss:

1) The emotions of anxiety, depression and then the cycle of using food to manage her emotions and energy. The way Christine looked at food at that time was “bad foods, good foods” and this only continued the spiral of anxiety and depression.

2) Hiding these emotions only kept her feeling shame for her “deep dark hole” which fed the feelings of hopelessness and despair. After attending a yoga class, she connected movement and mental health and this started a spark in her. The spark didn’t last and she learned that some movement helped her to continue to feel better and she continued to rinse and repeat this process.

3) This perpetual cycle was due to a continuous lack of trust between her mind and body. Now Christine’s belief and understanding is that the mind and body are always communicating with each other and her job is to listen to the signals for what her body needs.

4) There’s a current epidemic of people not knowing how to listen to or tune into what our body is asking us for. Christine focuses on the term movement and moving intuitively instead of the word exercise, because it is the tiny habits that matter every single day that add up. Christine shared her thoughts on how we pre-fail ourselves before we even give ourselves a chance.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the reels and how reels are blowing up Instagram and how it is forcing us to speak clearly on our business in 15-30 second increments or less. They also discussed the concepts of gifts, opening up doors of opportunities, how the work is truly never done and how tapping into vulnerability allows us to continue to build our courage.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Sue’s dirt pile reel that was 300K views in early July and now is crossing the 3.7 million views in only a few weeks. The unpredictability of reels is crazy, and so important to use for your business. It is also an experience of being non-attached to the outcomes of the work, social media posts, videos and reels that we are putting out in the world. We have no idea what will connect with people.

2) They both talk about how we have to decide to walk through the doors in front of us and actually close the doors behind us. When we put one foot in the door in front of us and in the one behind us, we literally get stuck in both doors and go nowhere. We spend so long in the hallways, waiting, thinking and overthinking and then we actually go nowhere.

3) Marsha shares her thoughts on gifts and how when we can learn to share the gifts from our stories, and the impact that they can create for others, it literally changes everything. We can shift and change our shame stories when we decide to change the meanings of our stories and by calling our shame stories a gift it changes the meaning of our stories.

4) They both shared how powerful it is to share in a collaborative space as we are learning how to embrace vulnerability and building our courage.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the most common questions they’re receiving about the collaborative book project. This episode also talks about how to be aware of mindset, energies or thoughts that aren't serving you, and how to break the pattern and commit to doing the opposite. That is how to create change in our lives.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Sue shares how important it is to leave our stories to the earth, and how by sharing them with others, we are practicing vulnerability which will lead to the connections that we are looking to create in our lives.

2) Marsha shares some thoughts on being an author in a collaborative book and a solo book author and how they both serve different purposes and audiences.

3) They both touch on the power and importance of collaboration as opposed to comparison. Comparison and envy are truly the lowest vibrations and literally keep us stuck in that space and energy.

Today we are speaking with Spiritual Success Coach, Meghan Weir. Meghan is a highly trained, trauma-informed Life & Success Coach, NLP, EFT and T.I.M.E Techniques Practitioner, Hypnotherapist and Retreat Leader, and retired Addiction’s Nurse. She is the founder of Soul Alchemy, focussing on embodiment practices creating a transformational container using ancient and modern healing tools and self-inquiry. She guides her clients in Transforming their Pain into their Soul's Purpose and Transcend by sharing their Innate Gifts with the world

In this episode we discuss:

1) The commitment required to work through all of the challenges, trauma and learning how to listen to the callings, releasing the shame or grief of our stories, and knowing this is a lifetime journey of work. Meghan has taken all of these tools, put them into practice into her own life, and now embodies these tools to support her clients.

2) Growth can bring so much loss, sadness, guilt and grief, yet it is also the most beautiful experience of expansion. The more we follow this growth and stay in alignment with our thoughts, values and beliefs, the more expansion and opportunities we will experience.

3) We are afraid to embrace our light, because we are afraid of feeling uncertain. Our darkness is what we know to be true. It is far easier (we believe) to go back to what we know as opposed to what we don’t know. Even if that doesn't serve us. Our addictions and disorders are a feeling of certainty even if it isn't what we know is best for us.

4) The difference between self-sabotage and self-protection. These terms come up so many times in our lives even back to childhood, expressing our emotions, and all of this requires a lot of unlearning.

Marsha shared the definition of resiliency from Robert Pardi, “Resilience is where our purpose, personal power and perspective connect”, and truthfully these pieces affect how we respond to everything in our lives.

3) The energy that we are responsible for bringing into our lives and how it is up to us to take responsibility for our own energy. We are also able to choose who we surround ourselves with and how their energy literally can positively or negatively affect us all day long.

Today we are speaking with Reinvention Architect, Craig Stanland. After hitting rock bottom, Craig was forced to make a choice: give up or rebuild. He thought he had "it all" until he lost sight of what's truly important and made the worst decision of his life, losing everything along the way, including his own self-worth. Through the painful, terrifying process of starting over, Craig ultimately discovered that when you have nothing, anything is possible.

Today, Craig is an author, speaker, and Reinvention Architect. He specializes in working with people who want to reinvent themselves so they can create the extraordinary lives they've always wanted. He is celebrating the release of his upcoming book, “Blank Canvas - How I Recreated My Life”, released on May 25th, 2021 and hit Bestseller on Amazon.

In this episode we discuss:

1) The difference between internal and external fulfillment. External fulfillment comes from outside of us and chasing monetary items or status in order to feel that fulfillment. Internal fulfillment comes from inside of ourselves. This was one of the most powerful lessons that Craig learned during his time in federal prison.

2) Sometimes our life has to blow up in order to create the space to start over. We have to know one side of the coin before we can know the other side. We have to know dark to know light and sadness to know happiness. We choose what we focus on and this is how we learn to re-write the story.

3) The power of shame and how it stops us from living, showing up and allowing ourselves to be seen. Craig shares how he worked through the shame up to the point of planning his suicide.

4) Embracing vulnerability to learning our value and worth is the path to creating freedom. When we are being vulnerable we are giving others the permission to be vulnerable too. It can also lead us to the most incredible relationships and people who are meant to make a difference or an impact in our lives. We must be open and willing to receive this support from others.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the importance of learning to listen to what you need, especially while listening to our bodies. From migraines to fatigue, to resting and no longer pushing our bodies when it needs more rest, we discuss learning to listen. Our bodies are always talking to us and it is our job and responsibility to listen. Today we talk about guilt, investing in ourselves and how to re-write or see that story differently.

*Warning: Sue swears a bit.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Guilt is one of the top things that we experience as women, mothers, entrepreneurs, because it is a self imposed emotion that we tend to carry because we “aren't meeting the expectations we have set for ourselves”. Guilt is so intertwined with money and we chat about how we push ourselves because we are not wanting to show up because of money as well.

2) The guilt piece is not helping us. We discuss how guilt, money and effort is always a story that we are re-writing. Who doesn't have a guilt story attached with money? We aren’t meant to have it all figured out in the beginning, we are meant to go first and our actions open up the doors where the universe meets and matches us with more opportunities.

3) We discuss how we have both gone through the growth process of investing in ourselves and what that has created in our lives now. Learning to invest in our growth many years ago has allowed us to strengthen ourselves in our business, minds, energy and increase the tools in our toolbox.

4) We discuss the applications for the upcoming Every Body Holds a Story Collaborative book and what it looks like to invest in yourself and not having a clue of where it is going to go or the doors that it will open up in the future.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha talk about the importance of sharing our stories and how this podcast has allowed us to open more doors for more people to share their body stories and experiences with others. In sharing our stories it allows us to connect with each other and allows us to be seen. Today they are openly discussing how their friendship was inspired through the work of bodies and stories, and that led to the birth of this podcast. They are excited to share with everyone about their upcoming collaborative book launch and how important it is to open and normalize the communication of bodies and stories. This opportunity is open to men, women and so many different stories. We are so excited to bring this vision to life!

In this episode we discuss:

1) Our bodies are telling us stories every single day. When we choose not to listen to it or tune in, we allow things to grow, fester and change the meaning.

2) How mental health is whole body health and we need to open the doors to this topic of conversation. The more we open the doors for communication, the more we can keep the doors open for others.

3) Supportive energy comes from relating to others through our stories and our bodies. This collaborative book project is so special because you are not sharing your story alone.

Join the Every Body Holds a Story Facebook Group to be the first to hear about the launch details. If you are an absolute yes and want one of the limited spots reach out to connect :https://www.facebook.com/groups/582412896496298

Today we are speaking with Annette Smith. Annette is the CEO and Founder of Lip Service Beauty. A few years back Annette endured a grand mal seizure which began a journey of prioritizing her health. After several dramatic life changes, Annette found herself back in a place where her health declined and learned a valuable lesson around getting ahead of your health versus waiting until something happens to address the issue. Annette owns her own plant based beauty company, is a wellness advocate and is a proud member of the 5am club, prioritizing her own self care on a daily basis. By building this practice, Annette has learned to gain control of her health, function more optimally and be a better human.

In this episode, we discuss:

1) Self care is giving the world the best of you; not what's left of you. As mom’s, entrepreneurs, business women, we tend to give ourselves what is left over and that means next to nothing. Annette was a workaholic and her grand mal seizure completely caught her by surprise.

2) It is impossible to give to others without giving to yourself first. If you haven’t had boundaries in place before, then this is an important place to start, and a place where you will experience resistance from others because your lack of boundaries has served them.

3) Annette’s story prompted her to create her own plant based beauty product company as she was searching for products that were safe to use. Over this past year especially during the pandemic, Annette re-learned that working through challenges, prioritizing self care, and asking for support has helped her continue to grow her business this past year.

Natalie is a wife, mom of three, entrepreneur, speaker, writer, and podcast host with a passion for empowering women to help them find joy and purpose in all areas of life and business.

For 20+ years, Natalie gained valuable experience throughout a fascinating career in politics and not-for-profit. Throughout this time, she felt most inspired by female entrepreneurs' stories, for their sense of adventure and willingness to take risks.

Feeling a strong desire to make a change, Natalie set out to take a detour and left her career to carve her own path. This journey hasn't been easy, but Natalie is no stranger to adversity. Losing her father at the age of thirteen in a tragic accident, in addition to her own personal struggle with a physical deformity, Natalie has taken her pain and turned it into a passion for helping others. After spending most of her life uncomfortable in her own skin, she decided to accept who she was and help other women and girls feel the same confidence by harnessing their story and channeling their most genuine purpose.

Natalie's passionate story of perseverance and resilience has been featured in numerous podcasts, publications such as HELLO Canada!, Forbes, The Toronto Sun, NL Women's Magazine and soon through her own podcast and co-authored book.

2) Our stories can shape and mold us into resilient humans who can in turn share those lessons to impact others. It is incredibly empowering to turn our pain into our purpose.

3) Learning to release control, especially when life feels incredibly out of control, is so powerful. This is how we can use our energy to create impactful change in our life. This is how we step into the space to impact and support others.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha discuss the current state of our lives and the perpetual anxiety loop that we are easily finding ourselves in during this stage of the pandemic, especially in Ontario, Canada. They are being real and honest with you today as they both share the signs, the feelings, and ways that they are continually identifying and working through the feelings. You are always your business, so the only way to bring your best self to your life and your business, is to work through the emotions and prioritize self-care practices to fill your cup first.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Sue shares her experiences of the anxiety loop, leaving a job location, embracing change and recognizing the signs and feelings of anxiety. Sue also shares how Incredibly calm she now feels on her Sunday nights!

2) Marsha shares her lessons from her NLP immersion and how important it is to recognize our thoughts and how our bodies hold onto the stress and the way to change this comes from changing our thoughts at the level of the subconscious mind. In order to change our circumstances we actually have to tap into the resources and tools we all have available.

3) Together they explain how our bodies work hard to process and release anxiety even if nothing actually happened or was wrong. Anxiety is something that builds in our bodies and eventually our bodies work to find a way to release it, and typically not in a productive manner.

4) Sue and Marsha share their upcoming offers that they have to help people with their anxiety, stress and how to do the work to change their circumstances and ultimately their stories.

Today we are speaking with Holistic Counsellor and Author, Shannon Moyer-Szemenyei. Shannon is a Leader. Wife. Mother. Friend. Poet. Mentor. Human. She is a believer in fundamental rights, standing up for oneself, owning your truth and being a kind and compassionate human being, leaving a positive impact wherever possible. Shannon lives with her family in London, Ontario and, when not writing or nurturing others, you can find her at the hockey rink or horse barn with her boys, or cuddled on the couch with her rescue dog, Berney.

In this episode, we discuss:

1 - Learning how to commit to our healing and using our voice to help others. Being quiet and hiding in our stories doesn’t serve anyone. This is a punishment to ourselves.

2 - What does owning your truth mean, and how our own mental health and healing was far more important than the discomfort of others. When we turn the inner dialogue off to protect others, we stop listening to our own intuition and voice.

3 - Trauma is relative to your own individual experience in life as a human being. Shannon speaks openly about how trauma impacts and affects our brain and how we then process those pieces. We have to deal with the root causes of our trauma in order to move through it.

4 - There can be beauty in the breakdown when we allow ourselves to feel the emotions to heal and then use those lessons in our life by paying it forward to others.

Today we are speaking with Executive Coach and Sales Trainer, George Wang. Coach George Wang is a Board Certified Executive Coach, Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Certified Hypnotherapist. Before the age of 15, Coach George Wang was just a normal kid from the 90’s playing Nintendo 64 and shooting basketball with friends when one day he was suddenly diagnosed with a rare kidney disease with an average of 10 years before full kidney failure. This led to another discovery of a large tumor on his right lung which was surgically removed along with two-thirds of his lung. With the outpouring of love from friends and family during this traumatic time, Coach George learned the value of human connections and developed a belief that life was all about the connections we make with other human beings. This led him on a path of non-stop learning. Over the past 20 years, Coach George has dedicated his life to studying every method of human behavior science he could get his hands on, which has led to not only his own personal success, but to the success of his clients as well.

Today, Coach George helps entrepreneurs, business owners, and corporate executives to connect with, market to, sell, and serve their customers in an ethical manner using psychological behavioral principles. He believes that business should always be win-win, and that the customer should win more. This is how business is done in its truest and most ethical form.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Through George’s illness and recovery from a young age, he learned the value of connection and relationships, and this was an integral part of his focus in his professional career.

2) How to sell authentically by focusing on what your client needs. Sales isn't about being pushy. It is about offering your client the solutions you have available and always come from a space of giving value.

3) George’s experience in NLP and how it transformed his life. Business and sales tend to have a negative connotation when it actually is what unites us all. Sales, done properly actually unifies us as humans and allows us to care for one another. George shares so many incredible examples of this during the show.

Today we are speaking with Divorced Mom’s Coach, Marisa Lupo. Marisa is a certified life coach who has mastered strategies that empower women in her private practice to cultivate an authentic life overflowing with love, meaning, and passion. After having checked all the boxes that she thought were going to lead her to the happiness she craved, something deep within her was still missing. Purpose emerged through her most difficult time; an entangled divorce with two children, a very opinionated Italian family, without much support from those closest to her. She developed the tools and strategies to untie the knots of divorce that bound her and started living a life of freedom. In her coaching she guides women through untying the knots of divorce and teaches them how to emerge into their highest self.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Learning to honour and find your voice by unpacking your story, and when you learn how to do this you can then stand in a place of truth and be able to express that in the most authentic way possible.

2) Marisa’s experience in the plant medicine ceremony (Ayahuasca), and how this experience helped her to connect to her higher consciousness and body again. This experience further opened up her heart center and grounded her voice and message to teach and encourage women to no longer be trapped and silent.

3) Releasing the shame, disappointment and guilt from others because our story works out differently than they planned. Our story is up to us to live out and Marisa shares her journey of learning to let go of these emotions in order to fully live into her truth to then create the impact she is here to make.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha discuss the moving parts of their business and how they’re continually working with growing themselves and growing and scaling their businesses. In their typical banter fashion, they share their thoughts on comparison, collaboration and learning to trust yourself and your journey.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Marsha shares her new knowledge and studies of NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming). We set goals with our conscious brain which is our goal setter (literally only 1% of our brain) and the goal getter is learning how to reprogram our thoughts, which is our subconscious brain. This study includes Time Techniques, EFT, Hypnosis and Success Coaching.

2) One of the first principles of NLP is living at Cause instead of Effect. This is the power of learning how to live at cause, which means we are at cause for everything that happens in our life. We always have a choice in how we respond.

3) Following what we feel called to do and now letting ourselves get stuck in the How or the Why. We highlight the programs we are both implementing and integrating in our businesses this year, and so much of it comes from trusting ourselves and the direction we are both taking our businesses.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha discuss the 1 year anniversary of being locked out of our jobs since the beginning of the pandemic. Sue and Marsha get real as they share their thoughts and perspectives of this past year, and they share a few of their lessons.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Sue gets vulnerable and openly talks about her shingles’ scars that are triggered by stress. Varicella-Zoster Virus - hangs out dormant in our dorsal root ganglia and nerves demand respect. Sue’s scars and experience could have stopped her from stepping into her new role as a virtual body coach, and this is how she stepped up and created a new business during the pandemic.

2) The power of learning to love ourselves. It’s not loving ourselves when things are perfect, or we look a certain way, it’s learning to love ourselves for exactly where we are at and knowing that our bodies are more than enough just as they are.

3) Sue and Marsha share the importance of vulnerability and how it has brought the most incredible people and experiences into our lives. Without the experiences of this past year, our group coaching spaces, this podcast might not exist.

They are big dreamers who are here to make a massive impact in the lives of others regardless of their age or current state of health and fitness. Together they have experienced life from an unhealthy perspective, and they discovered a new way of truly living fully. Kim and Jamie also operate another business called Legacy by Kim, in honour of her mother, Carol. As an online boutique headband line being handcrafted in Canada, the prints are limited and produced in small batch exclusive prints. As part of this work and in honour of the Carol Colby Perras Foundation, Legacy by Kim gifts Legacy headbands to women undergoing chemotherapy and cancer treatment.

Individually and collectively they have lived through heavy circumstances and are openly sharing their story to continue to help others. Jamie and Kim feel that the greatest impact we can have in this world is to share their passion, their vision, and the knowledge that they have gained through their personal experiences to empower others to take personal action towards change. Using optimal health and wellness as a catalyst for change, they are dedicated to helping you live your best life. Together they want to give people the match that lights the fire already within.

In this episode we discuss:

1) How their family was impacted by Jamie’s heart attack at 46 years old. Kim performed CPR for 9 minutes ultimately saving Jamie’s life. Jamie had a 6% chance of survival, and less than a 1% chance of survival with no brain damage.

2) Through combined personal, physical and emotional traumas we have to learn to feel in order to heal. Most people want to go directly to healing without feeling and that’s impossible.

3) Using different tools depending on where you are in your journey in your life. It might mean journaling, rest, recovery, time outside, and making self care a priority as well as self-compassion, and it requires being more curious and subjective to what we need on a daily basis. Don’t be afraid to pivot since everything we receive is data. We can pivot at any time.

2) Learning to accept and love ourselves for who we are, what we have experienced and know that it’s all played a part in who we are today. Resisting these feelings only keeps them around longer.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha discuss a quote about setting intentions and learning the power of surrendering during the process and how surrendering is a key piece of the puzzle. The more you control your intentions, the less you are actually living in the energy of intention. As humans we tend to set goals and then micromanage all the details thinking we actually can control how it will all play out. Living in this manner means we are closing out all other possibilities that things can actually work out differently or even better than we ever imagined.

In this episode we discuss:

1) “Intention without surrender is a fast track to delusion”, Rebecca Campbell. This is such a powerful quote as we deep dive into the meaning of surrendering to your intentions.

2) Surrender in this aspect means letting go of how this goal can happen. When we let go of how we create space to be able to let the magic unfold in ways we can’t even imagine. Holding onto control that we don't have also blocks us from people, opportunities and experiences that are meant to cross our path.

3). Our goals might happen faster than we expect or even days later than our intention, that is micromanaging the details. Our energy will change, and we can self-sabotage ourselves from actually reaching those goals.

4) When we focus on the goal only, then we will take on situations or work with people that aren’t the right fit only because we are focused on the end goal. This toxic energy can actually block us from reaching our goals, make it so much harder to achieve, and drain us of all of our energy and that will sabotage us for the next stage of our business.

Today we are speaking with an incredible young woman named Lily Francis. Lily is almost 18 years old and currently in grade 12. Her parents say she has been active since the day she was born. They enrolled her in many activities and gymnastics was her favourite. She did competitive gymnastics until she broke her back in grade 6, almost 7 years ago. Lily fractured the following vertebraeL2, L3, L4 and had stress fractures in L5 and T10. Knowing she couldn’t compete at the level she previously had competed at due to her injury, she turned to track and field. She tried a variety of events but has landed in competing in the heptathlon, which includes 7 events. To this day, I am applying to universities with hopes of being a varsity athlete. Lily shares her incredible story with us as a young athlete having to work through the physical challenges of rehabilitation while still performing as a top level athlete.

In this episode we discuss:

1) People cross our paths that are meant to impact us and support us. Lily seeing her dad go through his own rehab process 6 months before her injury, and his doctor being the one to recognize that she had an injury that needed to be addressed was no accident.

2) Recognizing that fear is a normal part of life, yet the fear of staying still and doing nothing is bigger than the fear of “what if or what could happen” by trying to move forward.

3) Our journey and what we experience on that journey is what makes us who we are and the impact that we are here to create for others.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha discuss their thoughts on bodies and business and how our businesses will only grow to the extent that we commit to growing ourselves. They share their thoughts on how businesses grow through collaboration and how important it is to be a real human in our businesses.

In this episode we discuss:

1) Being vulnerable may be scary, yet it will bring the most authentic people into our lives. We are missing the real connections with people because we are not allowing ourselves to be seen or keeping our doors open to connect with others.

2) We need to stop putting the business first, instead focus on building ourselves into the person to bring it to life. People will be able to engage with us and see what we can offer, by truly being ourselves.

3) We cannot say we trust in the universe and spend our time micromanaging it. We have to commit to showing up and then let the universe do it’s magic. “Energy will trump strategy every single time.” Rachel Joy

4) Today we referenced a few other coaches who have impacted us, Craig Seigel, Rachel Joy, Cora-Lynn Hazelwood and Jess Glazer. We both resonate with real people, coaches, and people online who inspire us to be more of ourselves.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha discuss their thoughts on bodies and business and how our businesses will only grow to the extent that we commit to growing ourselves.

In this episode we discuss:

1) How living in comparison is truly living in scarcity and minimizing the potential we all have to create change in our lives.

2) 2020-2021 is a test of can we be empathetic towards others and see that the stressors of this time are affecting all of us. It is hard to show compassion towards others when we don’t show that compassion towards ourselves.

3) How we show up for ourselves, will dictate how we show up in our businesses in every single way. This will impact what we charge for our services and how we show up for others.

In this episode, Sue and Marsha discuss Marsha’s body story, specifically diving into her recent story leading up to and recovering from intensive back surgery in 2020.

In this episode we discuss:

Vulnerability: what to share and when to give yourself permission to keep some details to yourself.

The power of our mindset is so incredibly important and we have no idea when we need to lean on our mindset in difficult moments.

The difference between sharing from our wounds and our scars. It is much harder to share from our wounds as we are still healing and it is ok to use our energy to heal.
