We're Matt and Darryl, two best friends, fathers and husbands who, like most of us, are just trying to survive the day to day challenges of every day life. We started Surviving Real Life to share some of our life experiences and thoughts on all sorts of issues in hopes of connecting and relating with our listeners.
This week the bigs news around here is the potential end to the Lockdown! With COVID cases on the decline, vaccines rolling out and, frankly, people just starting to go a bit stir crazy, it looks like we're going to be opening up again and allowing social gatherings. It could be a disaster, but the mental health ramifications of extending this lockdown any longer than necessary are huge. So we get into the Lockdown and how we're reacting to this new announcement.
We're also taking on the scary topic of COVID variations and what it could mean for potential vaccinations. And we end on the topic of March Break. Do students stay in school to make up for lost learning time and keep families from travelling, or do we keep March Break as scheduled so students can get some much-needed time to themselves? We take opposite views on this one, so we hope you enjoy the discussion.

This week the news has been flooded with new travel restrictions in Canada, COVID-19 vaccine problems, and some unfortunate news about the impact quarantine is having on parents and their children.
We're a little frustrated with how governments are rolling out restrictions, and we're going to get into why we think Canada's response to the COVID pandemic could have been a whole lot better. From travel restrictions to vaccinations and the Pfizer/Moderna fiasco, we're asking why it's taken so long for meaningful action!
And of course, the reason that's so important is because real people are facing real consequences during this lockdown. There's sad news we have to share, and it paints a gruesome picture of the current state of society amidst these unprecedented times. So tune in and share your thoughts with us. We want to hear from you.
