Sharing some bullets for the conversation. It is unlikely that we will have an animation of the ECA/GEP by then.

One of the drivers for the deal was to continue our journey to make things simpler and better for our customers. This is proving to be particularly helpful for companies with relatively small programs (under 100 assignees). The challenge is that the smaller the program, the more senior on average the assignees tend to be.

Could we focus our chat on this theme?

Some bullets:

Small to mid-sized global mobility programmes are the majority (up to 100 assignees).
They have the same support needs as larger programs but generally lack the internal resources and expertise
They therefore rely heavily on external support.
The support costs per assignee tend to be very high as they lack purchasing power
There average assignee tends to be more senior putting additional pressure on the function

What are we doing to address this challenge?

Global Expat Pay provides the operational foundation blocks for global mobility operational business processes (operational data, payroll simplification, finance recharging, tax compliance simplification, payments)
This digitises most of the operational processes freeing up internal time and reducing external costs without licence fees
Our focus is on making the assignee and business process better

On demand payroll calculations – Certino – where host payrolls cannot calculate net to gross calcs, these can be supplied on demand.

We have collaborated with these industry leaders to provide the opportunity to get a best-in-class digital outcome at a price point which reduces support costs for smaller programs. All of our partners share the passion to make the process simpler and better through a customer centric approach.

Don’t want this to come over as salesy – rather to illustrate that there is help out there for these smaller programs.

After being born and raised in Estonia (the small high-tech country just below Finland ;), having gone to a pro-French school, having studied English Language and Literature – all while working and training at the same time – I decided to pack my things and move to Paris.

I faced the challenge of starting from scratch: finding a place to live, finding a job, learning the language, making friends, facing the French bureaucracy, building a network… I couldn’t have done what I did without my past experience.

Having practiced high-level gymnastics (the ribbon and hoop kind) for 18-years, has led me to be extremely determined and goal-oriented.

Having coached gymnasts and taught languages for almost seven years, has made me understand that I love passing on what I know and can do.

It has made me realize that helping and guiding people so that they could reach their goals, is something that thrives me every day.

I now employ these strengths in managing successful employee transfers, developing relocation processes, and helping the relocation business to respond to the changing needs.

Being curious allows me to tackle challenges every day and meet new and interesting people.

I believe in sharing experiences, transferring knowledge and know-how from one area to another, and testing new approaches.

I have heard it being called the character of an organisation. I have also heard it being referred to as an asset. Some have even said it should be considered a product.

Either way, culture is how things get done without conscious thinking and awareness. Sometimes we can’t pinpoint to anything in particular, yet everything is revealing to some extent.

1)What kind of humour do you see, feel and hear throughout the organisation? Is it light-hearted or dark? Is it lively or is it noticeably absent?

2)When you are waiting for calls to start, is there conversation and connection time?

3)Are people ready to walk out of the door or go offline as soon as it’s the end of their day?

4)How do employees interact – both big and small?

5)How do people deal with mistakes and failures?

6)What information is shared transparently and freely?
