UHSpress
UHSpress presents a collection of stories and insight from the people who make up the University High School community.
In the third episode, UHSpress presents freshman Aminah Vega. Aminah is one of the two freshman on the Varsity softball team. While in eighth grade, she received a softball scholarship from the University of Central Florida. Along with high school softball, she plays on a travel softball team called Gainesville Gold. Outside of softball, she spends her time participating in youth group at her church. Aminah plans to keep up her academics to maintain her scholarship and keep the door open for other opportunities to arise.
The Cambridge Program will begin at University High School next year, and mostly impacts incoming freshmen and our current freshmen class. Learn more about the ways Cambrdige will be implemented from the coordinator, Bill Lastowski.
