After obtaining her Doctorate in Pharmacy degree from Ferris State University, Donna Mazzola continued training by completing a residency program at the Detroit Medical Center. She spent about 10 years in clinical practice doing medication therapy management. In speaking to patients with a chronic illness she was blown away by how little they knew about managing their disease through lifestyle. This led her to pursue a master’s in nutrition. In 2015, it all came full circle when she was diagnosed with Hashimotos. Her diagnosis took her right back to her passion for understanding how she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. Donna realized she didn’t know who to trust and what was the right way to manage her disease, so, she decided to become THE source! She embarked on a journey to further her education and obtain a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from The University of Western States. Through her journey in school, she started @DrAutoimmuneGirl to share trusted information to those suffering like her. In this insightful episode Donna shares all about how the things we eat contribute to our overall health and how to be more mindful of our consumption in a healthy way.

Bethany Holmes is a wellness blogger, certified holistic health & wellness coach, Reiki practitioner and Spiritual Interior Designer. Before getting where she is today, Bethany worked in the fashion industry, which is what brought her to NYC. In 2015, she had a health scare that resulted in an emergency brain surgery, since then health and wellness have been her top level mission and she’s made it into her career. In this episode, Bethany shares her story and talks on her journey to healing. She lends thoughtful insight in taking care of yourself, body and mind. Through her personal experiences, she was inspired to become a health coach to help others who found themselves in similar positions. She had a doctor but she didn’t have anyone to help guide her nutrition or activity or daily rituals. She found that the most powerful thing that helped her recover was energy healing. She has since launched her interior design program which seeks to create spaces that cultivate healing energy in the home.

Today's meditation will help you leave stress and worry from your day behind. Perhaps try this meditation after work before you head into your evening hours. These ten minutes will allow you to connect to what's important and unwind.
Every Monday in April I am sharing a 10 minute guided meditation for you to check out! As I have mentioned many times though-out the lifespan of this podcast, I am a big believer in meditation and all of its incredible benefits. It has personally helped me become a more present participant in my life, and allowed me to cope with stress as it comes in a way that serves my higher being and inner balance. I believe meditation is for everyone, and we should all carve time out of our days to connect deeper to self.
Please write a review if you enjoy the practice, and feel free to use this meditation on repeat as needed for an extra dose of self-love. xxVictoria

This is one of our absolute favorite episodes thus far! Dr. Amen is an absolute joy to speak with and this conversation is all about how to become a happier version of you through optimizing the physical function of your brain. Dr. Daniel Amen is a leading psychiatrist who says Americans haven't been this unhappy in 50 years, but there's hope. He joins Victoria to share what he's learned from hundreds of thousands of brain scans, including the neuroscience secrets that can make you happier, how your brain type can influence your happiness, and what practical steps we can take to build happier lives. He also makes the case that happiness is a moral obligation, and being happy can lead us to a better relationship with the people around us as well as with ourselves. Ultimately, we can’t have healthy, high-functioning minds without healthy, high-functioning brains. Yet, in a world where many people feel unhappy or downright depressed, most of us aren’t prioritizing time each day to upgrade our brains and be intentional about our mindset. This episode will help guide you in the right direction.
Dr. Amen's new book, "You, Happier," is available March 22, 2022.

Episode 36 is all about self-compassion. We are joined by Dr. Kristin Neff, who is a pioneer in the field of self-compassion research, conducting the first studies on self-compassion almost 20 years ago. She is the author of Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself and The Mindful Self-Compassion Workbook. We discuss the power of self-compassion and how it can transform our lives. We discuss her fascinating (and groundbreaking) research into the psychological benefits of self-compassion, how to use self-compassion to overcome perfectionism, how to balance fierce and tender self-compassion, and so much more!
Dr. Neff has made significant scientific discoveries about self-compassion and her research has uncovered how these findings debunk many of the cultural myths surrounding compassion today. We learn the importance of treating ourselves with kindness and care. This is a powerful interview that will help you move through the world a little gentler with yourself.

There are times in life when it helps to zoom in, and there are times when it’s best to zoom out. It makes so much sense that we wish for the roadmap and for someone to give us the keys and tell us where to go in advance- but, life doesn’t work that way. In this solo episode, Victoria talks about the parallels found in an unlikely place and how you can navigate your way through hard decisions with a little more ease.

Hi Squad! I read a headline recently that blew my mind! It sparked a major shift in my perspective on failure, and this episode is all about how to use failure to your advantage, and perhaps see your perceived mistakes in a different light. The moments when things didn't work out, or go the way you planned are all a part of the plan.
Per usual, there's a sports undertone in this episode- however, VB also jumps into failure in the realm of love and relationships as well!
Please enjoy this solo episode with Victoria and share this with a friend!

We are honored to have Emmy award winning journalist and New York Times best selling author Kate Fagan on today's episode. Her most recent book, All The Colors Came Out is a memoir centered around Kate, a former pro basketball player, who left everything behind — including her high profile on-air job at ESPN -- to care for another ex-pro: her dad, an original girl dad. She outlines lessons learned from her incredible father, as well as his challenging battle against ALS.
This is undoubtedly one of the most heartwarming and inspiring stories we have ever read, and you don't have to have read the book to find a vast amount of inspiration in this episode. This episode will leave you feeling inspired to appreciate the little things in life and not take anything for granted. We are so excited to share it with you! Please share it with anyone who needs it!
