Today, I re-directed myself and forced myself to question why. I have gotten a multitude of signs to just relax because everything is going to work out and if you feel similarly, consider this your sign. Take a deep breath and take a pause, things will be JUST fine. Also… I just started reading (listening) to Lilly Singh’s book: How to Be A Bawse, and wow. I love it. You should listen/ read it. Highly recommend.

Welcome back! Today, it's just me, Yanaiya and I talk about how I learned how to fully embrace (and accept) who I am. When I was younger, I was made fun of for showing that I liked where she came from, for listening to bollywood music and even bringing Indian food to eat for lunch at school. I know that I am not the only one who felt this. Living in a world where there are so many stereotypes and where not everyone is treated equally, it was hard to not give into what other people said and change the music I was listening to in computer class. Despite what everyone else said, I didn't give in and I continued to bring Indian food to school and eat it (sometimes with the fear that I would get made fun of), but now eat it proudly and would never change the music when people found it weird. It was not easy, though, but I did not want to give up that side of me. It's a huge part of who I am, and now, I embrace it to the fullest. This is how I learned to fully embrace who I am (andddd a few stories).  My Instagram, Podcast Instagram Innovatree Instagram Musee Beauty
