Hi team!
As you can see from the title, today is not the scheduled NSQ. In short, I will be taking a quick break over the Easter holidays/school holidays to regroup and sort some stuff out. Longtime listeners will know about my dog Neddo who struggled with Lymphoma for the past year. By the time this episode is released, I will have said a very hard goodbye to my best mate. To take care of myself and make sure I'm giving you guys the best content I can, this break is very needed.
Thank you so much for the support team. It means the bloody world to me. Can't wait to be back and better than ever at the end of April.

Today we have Zach in the studio! Zach is an absolute legend and just an all round good egg. We cover SO MUCH in this episode. We talk about the road less travelled and how Zach worked his way up through the ranks to where he is today (in the most unconventional way possible, btw). Zach also shares the struggle him and his wonderful partner went through last year, experiencing a miscarriage. We discuss the importance of being there for your mates and opening up the conversation. I can't thank Zach enough for coming on and being so open and honest with me. Hope you guys bloody love it! Today we are talking all about this idea that a woman who has lots of sex will have a 'loose' vagina. At the end of the day, this is just a harmful way to shame women who like sex or have a lot of sex. We discuss the fact that a vagina is a muscle AND talk about the pelvic floor muscles (which are super important btw).
P.s. You should NEVER make a person feel uncomfortable about the way they feel during penetrative sex. You should never ever feel pressure to change your body or use ‘products’ to change or enhance your body.

Today we are talking about the link between drug use (particularly substance abuse) and depression. According to Beyond Blue, over 500,000 Australians will experience depression and substance abuse at the same time, at some point in their lives. From 2016-19 in Australia, the use of illicit drugs such as cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy all increased. In this episode we learn about how both substance use and mental health problems are risk factors for one another, how stimulant drugs and depressant drugs affect the likelihood of developing depression and how to help your friends and yourself.
**Trigger warning: these mental health episodes may be distressing for some listeners. There is mention of substance abuse and suicide in this episode. Hi team!
Today I have not one, but TWO guests to discuss all things concussion. Alan Pearce is a professor in the college of science, health and engineering at La Trobe University and the Director of NeuroSports Labs. Alan is a clinical neuroscientist, an independent researcher, corporate speaker, community advocate and concussion expert. WOW. Alan brings the expertise and straight FACTS to this episode. I can't thank Alan enough for taking the time out of his (very) busy schedule to come and chat with us today. Make sure to check the links below for donations to the cause.
I am also joined by Josh Bromley-Lynch from The Bromley-Lynch Podcast. Josh brings an element of real-life experience to this chat. Alan 'Dizzy' Lynch, Josh's father, is living proof of the long-term effects concussion can have on an individual. Dizzy was a superstar footballer in his day and unfortunately, due to head trauma, Dizzy is now in care at the age of 68. Thank you so much to Josh, his family and Dizzy Lynch for allowing us to share their story on this episode. If you'd like to learn more about Dizzy's story, click here.

Masturbation is a normal, healthy part of the sexual experience and there is nothing wrong with you if you masturbate everyday, once a week, once a month, or never. It is a totally individual thing. When it begins to take over other parts of your life, or you are sparked with shame and guilt around self-pleasure, this might be an indication you need to talk to someone. In this episode we discuss what an Intrauterine Device (IUD) is, the difference between a copper and hormonal IUD, how you book an appointment and what to expect, and we talk a bit about my story and some listener stories.
Of course, once again, these things are super individual. What works for one person isn’t necessarily going to work for another. Always, ALWAYS make sure you have a thorough appointment with your GP and talk through all the options to see what works for you. Your GP should be able to provide you with the necessary information so you can go back and have a think about it and decide for yourself. Remember how important it is to listen to your body and do what is best for YOU.
