As a long time Texas resident, Jeff has always identified with the spirit of freedom and liberty that so distinctly embodies what it means to be called a Texan. He’s truly a rock solid unapologetic conservative in the truest sense of the word. Jeff became active in local Texas politics in 2004 and in 2006 he ran for and won a seat on the local City Council. After serving a successful three year term, he chose not to run again. Shortly thereafter, as a result of his noticeable Conservative credentials on City Council, he was recruited by local elected County officials to enter the Republican primary for House District 92 in 2009. That effort fell short, but again in 2019, elected officials convinced Jeff to re-engage and run again for the House seat that was being vacated in HD-92. That effort was ultimately successful. Jeff is known as a “straight shooter” and someone who will never mince words for the sake of politics. Truth and accountability are the keystone’s of his service and relationship with the Texas voters that he serves.

Bad news, NO border walls in the Trump design were observed being built yet Governor Abbott continues to email day in and day out announcing how he is building the border wall. This is primary season, yet again, and like in years past, nearly every Republican running for office professes to be a Conservative. We discuss what it truly means to be Conservative and why it’s so hard to pass real conservative legislation in the Texas House.
Political campaigns can often get ugly, especially when one side resorts to character assassination as a means of winning at all costs.

This week I began by wondering about nature and how animals in nature adapt to their environment. I did a little research and learned about a number of animals that actually can change their appearance to protect themselves and blend in with their surroundings. The Squid, a crab spider, a flounder, a Pacific tree frog, a chameleon and several more can all change their colors or appearance to camoufIage themselves for safety and survival in their respective environments. In many ways, the people that get elected and go to Austin are a lot like the animals I mentioned and most of them end up changing their colors and appearance and after 3 or 4 or certainly 5 sessions, you hardly recognize the person they use to be.
