In this episode Daphnie and Tonya talk about what a boundary actually is, the main reasons why we don’t set healthy boundaries, how to say no to things we don’t want to do, and they share some practical tips on how to set healthy boundaries in different areas of our life as Highly Sensitive People.
When it comes to caring for ourselves as highly sensitive people, it’s important for us to have very clear boundaries, but it’s an area that many HSPs can struggle with, an important topic as we are in full swing of the holiday season!

The holiday season brings a lot of extra to our lives leaving us with less energy and more overwhelm than usual as Highly Sensitive People.
Extra stress, extra overwhelm and expectations, extra fun and joy but also extra food and extra sugar.
We have enough to manage this time of year as HSPs without literally adding more to our plates.

Autumn is a good time to think about what we want to start to let go of, and to start to bring some awareness into our daily lives about some of the habits, beliefs, thoughts, that aren't serving us in the ways that they once did.
Amber and Tonya chat about what it's like as sensitive people to tune in with nature and environment and the changes that are going on around us, and how this can help us to start to unlearn and begin letting go.
Journal Prompt/Food for Thought:
We invite you to think about letting go and unlearning in your life.
Try this:
My life can be better if I let go of or unlearned ----------------------- because then I can ---------------------------------------------------------------------.

In this episode Daphnie and I chat about reframing our thought processes around fear as HSPs. We have the power to shift our perspective in how we interpret our fear, and how we deal with our emotions around the unknowns of really around everyday life. We explore the ways we can learn to pause and begin to develop self awareness so our fears have less control over us. https://lnk.bio/sensitivityrising (Find Tonya Here) https://yogiranger.com/ (Find Daphnie Here) https://yogiranger.com/freedom-from-anxiety?fbclid=IwAR32Lvz1qwmvgSCOe1qc-jo2MtIOuPMxcD04Z7uqLiMKdhhravS5zfzdEoQ (Daphnie's Freedom from Anxiety Program) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn7VbrRnSzgxP4PcoLQ6tkg (Our YouTube Channel) https://sensitivity-rising.captivate.fm/ (Podcast Website)
Because we are intricately connected to and, in fact, part of nature, we can experience much greater health and resilience when we learn to live in a way that is aligned with the natural world as sensitive people. One of the ways we can come into greater alignment with the changing cycles of nature is by making seasonal shifts to our diet and lifestyle. It's easier than you think! Join Daphnie and Tonya as they chat about the many benefits of eating in season for our body, mind, and spirit as HSPs. Sacred space is the setting aside of a time and place in a way that creates a container for us to go inward and focus on ourselves- something we need especially as Highly Sensitive People. In this episode Amber and Tonya chat about how we can create sacred spaces in our homes, holding sacred space for others, how our minds can become sacred spaces with practice, and doing our best to set ourselves up for success with what we have. https://sensitivity-rising.captivate.fm/ (Podcast Website) Amber: Instagram & https://www.facebook.com/SoulfulNatureOfficial (Facebook) https://lnk.bio/sensitivityrising (Tonya: Instagram Facebook Website and more!)
Real change always involves risk. When we don’t know what will happen next, we can start to spiral and our brain makes up stories and scenarios that can quickly turn into overwhelm and worry. If we can’t predict the outcome it can feel too risky and can stop us from trying to make changes at all. As sensitive people we’re not only affected by changes within our own physical, emotional and mental bodies, we also pick up on the energies and vibrations of change from other people and our environment. So let's talk about why we fear change and how we can begin to move through the fear to make positive change. https://sensitivity-rising.captivate.fm/listen (Subscribe Here) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn7VbrRnSzgxP4PcoLQ6tkg (YouTube Channel)
Change is an inevitable part of life. It is one of the few things we can all count on, but it can also be a genuine source of discomfort because our brains like consistency and predictability. Join co-hosts Tonya and Daphnie as we chat about the stages of the emotional cycle of change that we experience as human beings and the tools that we use that help us to follow through on making the changes we want to make in our lives. https://www.facebook.com/groups/highlysensitiveandstrong (Join Daphnie's Highly Sensitive and Strong Facebook Group Here!) https://sensitivity-rising.captivate.fm/listen (Subscribe here!) https://sensitivity-rising.captivate.fm/ (Podcast Website)

Welcome to the sensitivity rising podcast! We want to live in a world where sensitive people are seen, heard and respected. Where sensitives believe in their value and worth and where they can access the tools they need to nurture and embrace their trait. We believe that sensitivity is expansive and NOT limiting and that being neurodiverse isn’t better or worse- just another way of being human. The intention of this podcast is to help sensitive people turn down the noise and tune into their inner guidance systems. We’ll learn to embrace all the layers of our being to uncover our true selves so we can use our voices authentically, follow our hearts and share what we know to be true with the rest of the world, that sensitivity is not only essential in our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces but sensitivity is vital for the future of humanity. New episodes will be released Wednesdays and will follow a 4-season schedule- autumn, winter, spring, and summer with small breaks between each season.
