Jason Bitzer is a New Jersey native turned Hawaii transplant who competed as a professional bodyboarder on the historic North Shore. Jason is the founder of “Never Off Duty”, a non-profit that offers underprivileged, at-risk kids a pathway to emergency services such as lifeguarding, fire sciences, EMT and other civil servant career opportunities. Now back in New Jersey, his most important mission is giving his 3.5 year-old son, James, the best care possible as he battles Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Entrepreneurial at heart, Jason is still chasing down his dream to build a concierge-level wave pool for surfers here at the Jersey Shore, while also training East Coast lifeguards to become elite practitioners. Pat Grippaldi is the owner/operator of Gripp’s Stitches, an upholstery shop based out of Manahawkin, New Jersey specializing in marine and automotive upholstery, awnings and more. Rob and Dana Linn Bailey are serial entrepreneurs and, most notably, the founders of FlagNorFail.
A former NCAA soccer player at West Chester University in Pennsylvania, Dana has become one of the most renowned female bodybuilders in history, becoming the first ever Ms. Olympia in 2009.
Rob, also a former West Chester University athlete (football), is a Swiss Army knife of skills who has found massive success in various domains including gym ownership (The Warhouse Gym), music (Land and Ammo) supplements, real estate investments and business coaching.
Now hailing from Montana, The Bailey’s returned east for a sit-down at The Pit to discuss their beginnings, their dynamic as a team and general approach to life.

Jemand Ezeonwuka is a Nigerian-born fitness entrepreneur, best known as founder of New Jersey-based “Eze Fitness”, a bootcamp style gym designed to burn 500 or more calories in just 60 minutes, combining resistance training, conditioning and boxing.
Together with his wife, Kiko, Jemand has grown Eze Fitness to four Jersey Shore locations, with 10-year plans to have an Eze Fitness within 20 minutes of every New Jersey resident.
We had a great time diving into Eze Fitness’ highly lucrative franchising model, Jemand’s Nigerian roots, the fitness industry at large and so much more. Matt Vincent is the MOST INTERESTING MAN ON THE INTERNET! A 2X Highland Games world champion turned serial entrepreneur and psychonaut, Matt’s roots were dug in southwest Louisiana where he was a high school indoor and outdoor state champion in the shot, before competing for the LSU Tigers and standing upon the SEC podium multiple times.

While training for the Highland Games, which draws comparisons to the World’s Strongest Man competition, Matt started his YouTube channel to analyze his throwing form, before eventually evolving into what is now known as daily vlogging. Today, he owns a successful apparel company “Not Dead Yet” and operates a bustling coaching group focused on total human performance around the domains of life, business and health. Matt is a SUPER interesting and open-minded individual, with a passion for psychedelic medicine and research. Nick Hoffer, AKA “The Holster Guy” is the founder/CEO of HofTac Industries and Patriot Trays. Based out of Idaho, USA, Nick has built an impressive business that includes his ultra-popular “OMNICARRY” holster, which comfortably accommodates more than 200 handguns. Nick and I connected through Sean Whalen’s “The Lion’s Den” and hit it off immediately, so I was super excited when we were able to put together this cross-country hang. We discussed quitting unfulfilling jobs, taking chances on ourselves, “personality scores” and all of the trials and tribulations that come along with the human experience. Nick’s facilities have a capacity to output 3,600 holsters per month, and sights are set on scaling operations, with a personal goal of an exit in the next decade. Chef James Avery worked his way from a pizza delivery boy to sous-chef, under the tutelage of iconic chefs including David Burke and Gordon Ramsay.
In 2010, James jumped on a TV opportunity to work on the culinary production team for Gordon Ramsay’s hit FOX television show “Kitchen Nightmares.” CJA stayed on as a Consulting Chef for one of the show’s renovated New Jersey restaurants before making his way back to Michael Mina’s Sea Blue.
In 2011, James joined BR Guest Hospitality helping to open Dos Caminos and its three sister restaurants at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. The following year, he returned to FOX television as the Blue Team Sous Chef on Gordon Ramsay’s culinary competition show “Hell’s Kitchen” for seasons 11-14.
In the summer of 2014 he became the Executive Chef of the Asbury Festhalle and Biergarten and Executive Chef/Partner at the Bonney Read. He opened a farm-to-table eatery Farmly Neighborhood, and eventually launched "The Black Swan" in Asbury Park, a European gastropub serving British/Irish fare, imported beers, wines, and craft cocktails.
James is a legit entrepreneur and all-around good guy, residing in Wall Township, N.J. with his wife, Diana and four young children. Enjoy!

Matt Cangialosi is the co-owner of Jersey Freeze, founded in 1952 by the Blackmore family before being purchased by Matt and his partner Katie DiNonno in 2014. Basil Iwanyk is a Jersey Shore native and the founder of Thunder Road Films, most known for producing the John Wick Franchise, Sicario, The Town, Greenland and MANY more blockbusters. Emma Lipnicky is the President and CEO of Liv Like A Unicorn, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by and in memory of her daughter, Olivia, who courageously battled stage 4 cancer and brought to life a movement that supports families and children, while funding a cure for cancer.
When Olivia was diagnosed with cancer, her first concern was helping other kids affected by the same disease. During her last summer she organized the first “Liv like a Unicorn” clothing drive, which raised over $10,000 for cancer research. She passed away in November 2019 after a 9 month battle. Her family has continued the “Liv like a Unicorn” foundation to help carry on her wishes to support families and fund a cure for pediatric cancer.

After serving overseas in the United States Air Force from 2006-2010, JD became an elementary school teacher here in New Jersey before deciding to step back from the classroom and build Lead U in 2016.
Collaborating with aspiring, current, and former educators Kelly Coulson, Connor Effenberger and Joan Fraclose, Lead U has evolved from a grassroots summer leadership camp to a well established name in empowerment and education. The Lead U Crew comprises of a group of over 40 trained teaching artists who travel the country to deliver Personalized Empowerment Experiences for students, school staffs, sports teams, and business corporations.
Lead U was acquired by the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide on September 1, 2021.

Josh Vallario is the former director of global data center operations and construction manager at BlackRock, the worlds largest asset manager, which he joined in December 2005. Josh built and managed a global team of data-center technicians, including creating operations procedures, and helped consolidate 28 data centers into 13 over a one-year period. Prior to joining BlackRock he worked at Citigroup, where he managed e-mail archiving vendors, and Investment Technology Group as a product manager. Mike Duncan and Joe Ahlert are the owners and operators of Duncan Defense Consultants, based out of Hazlet, New Jersey and with an outdoor course in Cream Ridge. They came by the fire pit to discuss firearms, the importance of a home defense plan to protect your family, executing the plan, and doing everything safely and legally. Enjoy! Mike Duncan is a 15-year veteran of the U. S. Air Force and retired Lieutenant of the Hazlet Police Department, where he served as the firearms instructor responsible for qualifying members of the agency from 2002-2019. He was also the Department Training Officer and Lead Simunitions Instructor, for which he planned scenarios for Active Shooter Response, Room Clearing, Search Warrant Entry, Motor Vehicle Stops, and Street Encounters. From 2008 to the present, he has been an NRA-certified instructor, serving the NJ Department of Criminal Justice (NJDCJ) Police Training Commission (PTC) in handgun, shotgun, patrol rifle, and sniper instruction. Joe Ahlert is an NRA – Certified firearms instructor and active competitive shooter. He holds certificates from numerous shooting schools across the country and actively continues that training in order to constantly improve his skills and stay abreast of the latest information. In addition to armed defense, he also greatly values the art of unarmed self defense, holding a 3rd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu jitsu and studying under world – renowned fighter Renzo Gracie. A Jiu jitsu instructor himself, he has trained military, law enforcement, professional athletes, and hobbyists alike for the past twenty plus years, with a number of his students going on to excel at the highest levels of combat sports.
Matt Baldwin is the owner and operator of Belmar Plumbing & Heating, based out of Belmar, New Jersey. Not only is he a successful entrepreneur, he is also my brother-in-law and a frequent visitor around the fire pit, so it was about time to get him on camera to share his story. He moved to New Jersey from Long Island and took over his cousin’s plumbing business, scaling it to a highly reputable and recognizable service business at the Jersey Shore. Mike Gorman has been influential in my career for a LONG time. He holds an alphabet full of titles, and currently spends his days preparing a multitude of tax and estate plans for clients. He has the unique ability to combine his legal and accounting experience to provide solutions to personal and business issues. Mike made the trip from Madison, New Jersey to Point Pleasant to do a deep dive on a whirlwind of predictions that fell upon his lap by Indian colleagues. He is in the process of writing a book, but is waiting for one final prediction to come true. If this final prediction manifests, there will be a new richest person in the world, and Mike stands to make tens of millions of dollars from his involvement. It's a rollercoaster of an episode, with some things that seem too mysterious to be true, but I have seen many of these predictions come true in real time while knowing Mike. He has the receipts!
