Recognized as one of the top beach volleyball players in the country, he has numerous championships under his belt and has won the legendary Pottstown Rumble three times. He has been a part of the Gold Medal Squared staff, which promotes a system of teaching designed by national team coaches.
Brandon started playing volleyball in Chester, Virginia when he was 16 years old for his high school volleyball team. As a senior, Brandon was named Virginia State Player of the Year and has been a coach for more than 10 years. He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.

He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.
Casey attended BYU and was twice named to All-Tournament teams during his career. Casey. He made his AVP Main Draw debut in 2004 at the MBO and earned his first AVP victory in 2009 in Brooklyn. Partnered with Ty Loomis, the duo defeated the top four seeds in four consecutive matches to earn the victory. In 2013 and 2014, Casey and Gibb won 8 of 14 events and placed top 3 in five more. Casey was named Best Offensive Player in 2013 and earned Team of the Year with Jake Gibb the same season. Casey and Jake also teamed up together in international competition in 2013 and went to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Frances [Franky] Rosseland-Harrison was hired as an Assistant Volleyball Coach by Columbia Volleyball Head Coach Patric Santiago in June of 2022. She joins the Columbia staff after spending the 2021 season as the Head Coach & Director of Operations at the Sinjin Beach Volleyball Club. While at the helm of Sinjin, Rosseland-Harrison was named to the 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association 30 Under 30 Beach Volleyball Coaches list.

Koko is a volleyball coach and influencer who creates content about healthy eating, mental health, and volleyball tips for her fanbase of 160,000 on TikTok. She also runs a YouTube channel called Koko Volley, where she demonstrates the fundamentals of striking, serving and more for her 170,000 subscribers. She coached at Zebulon B. Vance High School from 2014 – 2016 (varsity) and Northern Mecklenburg High School during the 2013 season (varsity). She specialize in front row hitting, spiking, blocking, and strategy and also work with all ages, from kids, teens, and even adults.

Head Coach Mark Burik has been coaching sports for 16 years and has over a decade of playing and coaching experience in volleyball. Burik has been a mainstay on the AVP Tour and also competes regularly on the FIVB World Tour. Recognized as one of the top beach volleyball players in the country, he has numerous championships under his belt and has won the legendary Pottstown Rumble three times. He has been a part of the Gold Medal Squared staff, which promotes a system of teaching designed by national team coaches.
Brandon started playing volleyball in Chester, Virginia when he was 16 years old for his high school volleyball team. As a senior, Brandon was named Virginia State Player of the Year and has been a coach for more than 10 years. He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.
Priscilla (aka Pri) started playing volleyball at the age of 15 in Rio. She played three more tournaments and qualified in them all, in 2005 after her 4th tournament she was already in the main draw. With that performance she got the Most Improved Player Award from the AVP. Also from 2009-2013 Pri played in the Banco do Brasil Tour, finishing every year amongst the top 5 teams. From time to time, she represented Brazil playing in the South American Tour being a 4x Champion. She also played the very first edition of the Continental Cup and got the victory for Brazil.

Beth Van Fleet, a former beach volleyball professional and GSU standout, became the head coach of the Georgia State beach volleyball team prior to the 2013-14 season. In her tenure at Georgia State, Van Fleet has twice earned the GSU SAAC Coach of the Year Award (2016, 2018), and was named the 2016 CCSA Coach of the Year. She has led the Sandy Panthers to six 20+ win seasons. The 2022 season produced the most succesful National Championship run in Georgia State sports history and a program high 28 wins.

After a brief indoor college career at IPFW, and then suffering what was believed to be a career-ending knee injury, William determined in 2006 that he would make his greatest comeback ever. Many indoor successes followed, as William went on to win the Gold Medal in the 2012 USA Volleyball Open National Championships, and the Gold Medal in the 2015 Premier Volleyball League, along with a Silver Medal in both in 2013. Along with competing professionally, William and his wife have a 68,000 sqft multi-sport facility “Empowered Sports Club,” an indoor club program “Empowered Volleyball Academy,” and a beach club program “Empowered Pro Beach Juniors.”

Majo Orellana played Beach volleyball for the Guatemalan National Team. She qualified and competed in 4 Panam Games since 2015, placing one 5th and two ninths. Qualified for the World Championships in Netherlands in 2015 with her little sister Mandi. Started playing the AVP Tour at the end of the 2016 Season qualifying for the main draw in her second event. As a player and a coach, she has learned from some of the top coaches in the US and internationally, giving her a broad spectrum of different systems and techniques. Coach Majo was nominated "Assistant Coach of the Year" in 2021 by the AVCA.

Phil Dalhausser, aka “The Thin Beast”, attended Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL, but did not start playing volleyball until his senior year. He attended the University of Central Florida where he played club volleyball where he was named MVP. Phil made his AVP debut in 2003 in Ft. Lauderdale with Nick Lucena. Since his 2003 debut, Phil Dalhausser has become one of the most decorated and successful players in beach volleyball history. His awards are too numerous to name, but they include Blocking, Serving, Offense, Setting, Most Outstanding, MVP – basically everything besides digging.

Head Coach Mark Burik has been coaching sports for 16 years and has over a decade of playing and coaching experience in volleyball. Burik has been a mainstay on the AVP Tour and also competes regularly on the FIVB World Tour. Recognized as one of the top beach volleyball players in the country, he has numerous championships under his belt and has won the legendary Pottstown Rumble three times. He has been a part of the Gold Medal Squared staff, which promotes a system of teaching designed by national team coaches.
Brandon started playing volleyball in Chester, Virginia when he was 16 years old for his high school volleyball team. As a senior, Brandon was named Virginia State Player of the Year and has been a coach for more than 10 years. He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.
Before roasting coffee in Hawai'i, Brian Burik was a Fire Fighter in New York City. After 21 years of service, he retired from the FDNY as a Lieutenant. He worked in many different firehouses and he loved that although every firehouse was unique with its own personality, they all began each tour with the exact same tradition: sipping a cup of coffee together at the kitchen table.

Dain Blanton, an Olympic gold-medalist, is in his fourth season as head coach of the USC beach volleyball program. He led the Women of Troy to back-to-back NCAA championships in his second and third seasons at the helm. Under Blanton, the Trojans captured the 2022 Pac-12 crown and were runners up for the 2021 conference title. He is 73-10 (.880) overall as USC’s head coach.

Tri Bourne played NCAA D1 Men’s Volleyball for the USC Trojans and overseas in Puerto Rico and Turkey. He then switched full-time to beach and has been playing on the AVP tour since 2013 when he earned Newcomer of the Year and Most Improved awards. In 2014, when Tri began representing the United States on the FIVB World Tour, he won the FIVB Berlin Grand Slam. That season he was named the FIVB Rookie of the Year as well as the AVP Best Offensive Player.

In Russell Brock first four seasons as LSU’s head beach volleyball coach, Russell Brock has led the Tigers into national prominence. He will enter his fifth season as head coach in 2021. Brock has been with the program since its first year of existence in 2014 when he served as the associate head coach under Fran Flory until being named head coach prior to the 2017 season.

Cati Leak started 22 of LSU’s 29 matches in her final season, playing in 83 total sets. She was named to the Bobcat Invitational and Days Inn and Suites Lobo Invitational All-Tournament Team. She also suffered a season-ending foot injury at Kentucky on Nov. 1, missing the final seven matches of the season. Leak returns to LSU after helping to lead both the volleyball and women’s basketball teams as an assistant coach at the University Lab School in Baton Rouge to semi-final appearances at the state championships during the 2017-18 school year.

Having a SOLID partnership is one of the best methods to win more beach volleyball matches. In beach volleyball, each of our touches needs to have a purpose, a target, and a direction. Even if your pass lands exactly on your platform, it won't matter if you don't direct the ball to the area where your partner will have the simplest time setting you up. Brandon started playing volleyball in Chester, Virginia when he was 16 years old for his high school volleyball team. As a senior, Brandon was named Virginia State Player of the Year and has been a coach for more than 10 years. He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.
Matt Olson was a Head coach for the Wave 13’s in 2006. He assisted Ed Machado for two seasons (2006/2007) at LCC where the team won back-to-back CIF championships and finished 3rd in the state in their 2007 Season. Matt directed/coordinated the Wave Boys program for 3 seasons (2006-2009) before taking a year off to pursue his professional beach volleyball career. The 2011 AVP season marked Matt’s 8th season as a pro beach volleyball player.

Ali Wood Lamberson is the new head coach of women’s beach and indoor volleyball. She brings over 30 years of experience as a former collegiate and professional player, educator and NCAA national championship coach. Lamberson was an assistant coach at USC, leading the Trojans to two consecutive national team championships. Additionally, she has competed on the AVP, FIVB, BVA and WPVA pro beach volleyball tours, competing in 178 career tournaments.

Mike Campbell enters his sixth season as head coach for the Beach Volleyball program at Long Beach State. In 2019, Mike Campbell began his rebuilding year after losing eight starters to graduation from 2018. He coached his team to a 21-11 record, slating in at third in the Big West. He also collected his 100th career victory at the Big West Conference Tournament on April 26 with a 5-0 win against CSU Bakersfield.

Abra Rummel is going into her second year with the Lopes. She was a volunteer assistant last year and comes to GCU with a wide background of playing and coaching. She furthered her career in volleyball after college, participating in professional beach and indoor tours including the AVP, NVL, USAV Beach Tour and the PVL. Her coaching career rounds out with jobs as Head and Assistant Coach with the USAV's High Performance pipeline, highlighted by a position with the Youth National Team training camp.

Hernandez is married to Jonathan Adams and they have a daughter, Paloma, and a son, Sawyer. A five-time ASUN Conference champion, a four-time ASUN Coach of the Year, and the third winningest beach volleyball coach in NCAA history, Kristina Hernandez is in her ninth season as head coach at Stetson University. In 2021, Stetson compiled seven victories against Top 20 opponents and earned the No. 1 seed for the ASUN Championship. Ana Costa and Carly Perales were named ASUN Pair of the Year and won a record four ASUN Pair of the Week awards.

Head Coach Mark Burik has been coaching sports for 16 years and has over a decade of playing and coaching experience in volleyball. Burik has been a mainstay on the AVP Tour and also competes regularly on the FIVB World Tour. Recognized as one of the top beach volleyball players in the country, he has numerous championships under his belt and has won the legendary Pottstown Rumble three times. He has been a part of the Gold Medal Squared staff, which promotes a system of teaching designed by national team coaches.
Brandon started playing volleyball in Chester, Virginia when he was 16 years old for his high school volleyball team. As a senior, Brandon was named Virginia State Player of the Year and has been a coach for more than 10 years. He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.
Evan Silberstein was named the interim head coach of the Rainbow Wahine beach volleyball program in July 2021. He begins his eighth season with the BeachBows, boasts a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for beach volleyball. As a player, Silberstein competed on the professional beach circuit, including the AVP, as well as international competitions in Mexico, Canada, Jamaica, Guam, and Saipan. In 2001 he won a gold medal in the 2001 Macabiah Games in Israel. During his tenure, UH has attained the school’s first-ever No. 1 ranking (2015), won three straight Big West titles (2016-18), recorded a school-record 37 wins (2018) and came within one match of playing for the national title in consecutive years (2017, '18).

Coach Gretchen Hand begins her third year as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Webber International University during the 2021 season. She was announced as the Warriors' new head coach in March 2019. Hand transitioned into beach volleyball and moved to Manhattan Beach, California, to pursue her dream of playing professionally worldwide. She had main draw finishes in the AVP, the NVL, Corona Wide Open, the EVP and the FIVB.

Slick's first-ever AVP main draw came in Hermosa Beach in 2010 when teaming with Olympic Gold Medalist Dain Blanton. In the 2016 season opener in New Orleans, Slick had a partially detached retina in his left eye and ever since has worn protective goggles while playing. In his career Slick has played with six different Olympians (Dain Blanton, Adrian Carambula, Casey Patterson, Todd Rogers, Sean Rosenthal, and Indoor Olympian Reid Priddy).
Katie Spieler holds a career-best 3rd place finish on the AVP with multiple top 10 finishes over her three years on tour. She has won 3 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals internationally, with her most recent win as the 2019 World Champion for Beach Volleyball 4 x 4. In 2016, Katie co-founded a youth and adult beach volleyball club in her hometown of Santa Barbara, called East Beach Volleyball Academy. Besides being a volley enthusiast, Katie is a beekeeper (hence her nickname “Honeybee”).

Billy Allen grew up playing on the beach in Oceanside, California with his family. He played indoor volleyball at Cal State Northridge and qualified for his first AVP tournament during his senior year with teammate Ty Tramblie. He won back to back AVP Finals in Seattle, the first in 2016 with Theo Brunner and the second in 2017 in Stafford Slick. Billy is married to AVP player Janelle Allen and father to the enormous Ketch Allen. Off the court, Billy stays busy with his podcast Coach Your Brains Out and writing books. He’s published two books, Coach Your Brains Out and Good Blood.

Coach Steven is coming off his 3rd pro season. In 2019, he competed in four of the seven AVP Main Draws and was one of eight athletes nominated for Rookie of the Year on the tour. He's established himself as one of Texas' best Open players. Steven is presently ranked first in Texas. Since moving to Texas a few seasons ago, he has won many Opens and finished in the top three. Coach Steven is in his fourth season as a member of our Pro Staff and a coach at 210 Beach.

Head Coach Mark Burik has been coaching sports for 16 years and has over a decade of playing and coaching experience in volleyball. Burik has been a mainstay on the AVP Tour and also competes regularly on the FIVB World Tour. Recognized as one of the top beach volleyball players in the country, he has numerous championships under his belt and has won the legendary Pottstown Rumble three times. He has been a part of the Gold Medal Squared staff, which promotes a system of teaching designed by national team coaches.
Brandon started playing volleyball in Chester, Virginia when he was 16 years old for his high school volleyball team. As a senior, Brandon was named Virginia State Player of the Year and has been a coach for more than 10 years. He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.
Sarah Schermerhorn is currently an American professional beach volleyball player participating on both the AVP tour and FiVB world tour. She was a Division I middle blocker at Elon University and finished her senior season as team captain, MVP, and carried her team to their first division title championship. In 2019, Sarah garnered the AVP’s Rookie of the Year award, a prestigious and competitive award only given to the highest ranked beach volleyball players in the country.

Kim grew up in Michigan and moved to Florida to pursue professional beach volleyball. She played four years of indoor volleyball as a setter at Eastern Michigan University and one year of sand volleyball at the University of North Florida, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. If she’s not on the court, you’ll probably still find her at the beach, traveling or playing with her bengal cat, Rick.

Chad Mercado played NCAA volleyball for Lees McRae College in North Carolina for four years. In his senior year, he was able to reach the 1,000 kill mark, become the all-time kill leader, and receive the AVCA National Player of the Week award. He subsequently traveled to California to coach the Men's Volleyball team at California Baptist University, which achieved its greatest ever rating in the AVCA D1-D2 Poll, placing 5th in the nation. He spent the previous year playing in the A1 professional division in Holland.

Evan Cory is a professional beach volleyball player. Cory continues his professional beach journey at the AVP America Chaos Beach Volleyball Open outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Holding a business degree from LMU, Cory has been somewhat of an entrepreneur as of late. He has opened up his own beach volleyball apparel line, Blue Nose Beach available at BlueNoseBeach.com. The brand name stemming from Cory's trademark blue hat and his matching blue zinc oxide he applies to his nose to protect him from the sun.

He has been a part of the Gold Medal Squared staff, which promotes a system of teaching designed by national team coaches.
Brandon started playing volleyball in Chester, Virginia when he was 16 years old for his high school volleyball team. As a senior, Brandon was named Virginia State Player of the Year and has been a coach for more than 10 years. He found success in the National Volleyball League as high as third and also took home the “Most Improved” award in 2016.

John Hyden is a 28-time Open winner, 13 of which were on the AVP, including the coveted Manhattan Beach Open in 2011 and 2012. Since switching to beach, John has earned AVP Best Defensive Player in 2009 and 2013 and was AVP’s Team of the Year in 2015 with Tri Bourne. He is coaching and training at HYDEN BEACH, the premier beach volleyball academy that he and his wife Robyn recently opened in Nashville, TN, or playing various sports with his kids Samantha,14 and Jackson, 7.

He also began his professional volleyball career after graduation in 2018, spending two years on the AVP Professional Beach Volleyball Tour in Southern California.
