This past weekend I sat down with Bongeka Dlamini a former college-mate and someone I've looked up to since University days. She is a:
Marketing Communications Specialist
Content Creator
Marketing and Media Graduate
Daughter to loving parents and Sister to 6 siblings
And we're unpacking self-care and the word of God. I thought it would be great to tackle this topic with her and I am glad I did. Not out of my own wisdom but his who leads us. Have a listen and you will know what I am talking about. I apologize in advance for the soundtracks I make when she is dropping gems. The conversation was that great. Sis' had my hairs standing up minute after minute.
Hi guys, this one is a little bit different. I thought let me give you a bonus. I've been MIA for the past couple of weeks. Reason being I was going through creators block and a burn out all at the same time. So I took the time to nurse and add an extra bit of Self-care. In that time I also got to travel our of the province. I am so grateful for travelling mercies and for the time I spent with my chosen family. A lot of things were cleared. I mean I got clarity on certain things I want to do in the near future. And I was able to record the an episode with an exceptional young lady. As usual after our conversation I felt rejuvenated I pray you will too. I mean I got goosebumps every 5 minutes of the conversation that's how great the conversation was. And we even continued talking after the episode conversation. Anyway what I was meant to say is that here's a beautiful reminder from Marianne Williamson's poem "Our Deepest Fear." Enjoy!
Today we brought you the inspiring Mpumi K Mbonane. She is first and foremost a young woman who has been gathered by God and lives her life to honour Him.
She is a qualified Mining Engineer who left the industry to pursue the longings of her heart and is now working as a Purpose Alignment Strategist in her own Training and Development Firm.
Mpumi firmly believes that the only art, discipline, or profession worth engaging in, is one that fulfills your purpose here on this Earth and responds to God's call over your life.
That is why her work involves turning young professionals into practitioners of their purpose.
She is also a podcaster and public speaker.
Apart from running her own firm, she works in the CIB division of a big Pan-African bank, as a newly promoted Junior Product Manager, where she is responsible for the adoption of agile and new ways of work and developing her team members to be high-performers.
Socially, she is a children's ministry teacher, an aunt to 5 nieces, and the daughter of a strong and wise widow.
