We often are huddling in place at our world assigned stations without tapping in to our Daddy who is King. Settling for what is beneath you is tragedy in real time. God wants what is best for us. The Amplified Bible states it this way if you need verification: 1 Peter 2:9, “you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a special people for God’s own possession.” God has already assigned your station and status. You just have to align yourself the ordained mantle. Stop settling for what is beneath you.
Good Monday my friends. Well, we have arrived in 2022. And, I bet even though it is only January 3rd, you’ve already hit the ground running.
I wanted to just remind you though to just breath and take a moment to find your center. Finding that place of complete grounding is really important early on in any new experience. This is a really important component, so that you are able to hear and receive the voice of God. So, cool your jets.
As we embark on the next 15 weeks of deliberate work, we have to recognize that 2021 may have left some of us with some real emotional hurt and pain. And although it may have followed you into 2022, be reminded that you have the opportunity to begin to set clear and deliberate boundaries.
Allow yourself the privilege to set clear boundaries for yourself and for others. Take hold of 2022 before it takes hold of you. You don’t have to settle in on the year, you have to allow God to help you be settled. I am an advocate of single word responses when it is appropriate- “no means no” and “yes means yes”- no commentary necessary. Don’t do the same thing you did less than a week ago. Allow people to see your growth really quickly in setting clear boundaries.
As the Word says in Isaiah 43:19, God will do a new thing in your life. Can you not perceive it? He is making a way in the wilderness and streams in the dry lands and in areas of your life. It’s all going to be better. You just have to be intentional in the work that is necessary. And you can begin to perceive it once you get some of the same old holding you down stuff out the way!
You can’t become weary, you have to be willing to set the tone for this year. I’m excited about the work that we shall embark on. I’m ready and hope you are too. This will be an exceptional year and an intentional process and preparation for us all.
We have the skillset and abilities to make life prosperous in the new things God has prepared for us. So, let’s get to work.

Hello There God!
This is our first Monday of a brand new year. Many of us have awaited this moment to begin with a fresh slate.
We are before you as a new canvass waiting for you to write for us the plans for our lives within our minds and hearts.
We pray that we avail ourselves even the more this year postured for preparation and position for purpose. We don’t want a single opportunity to be lost.
We desire to bring you greater glory with our lives.
Thank for every moment God in advance. Thank you for every opportunity to be stretched, pulled, tugged, and pushed. We are definitely ready. Thank you for your grace and thank you for your love.
This is a season that we are ready for pruning, reaping, and harvesting. We are so excited what this time of will yield in our lives.
Amen and Amen.
Conclusion…
I am truly grateful that you checked in on this 1st Monday of 2022. We will begin our sessions bright and early next Monday, January 10th. Over the next 15 weeks we will take an even deeper dive in understanding ourselves mind, body, and spirit and how all that interconnects in our relationship with our Creator. We need to recast our vision for ourselves. And doing it daily is an understatement. Life is a bag of tricks, twists, and turns and if we aren’t careful we become solely focused on what we see. We can become so fixated that we aren’t able to or capable of embracing what is ahead. The tendency to just live creates an acceptance of the status quo. God has so often placed before us “planned interruptions.” I call them planned because God will send something your way that will force you to sit down and take a hard look at what is before you and evaluate what is ahead.
God speaks to us plainly in Jeremiah 29:11 that he knows the plans for our lives; plans to prosper us, not to harm us, to give us hope and a future. See that says it all. God has full control over everything that occurs in our lives, for our lives-victorious, incidental, and consequential. HE controls it all.
Determining how we get ourselves entangled in the “I control my destiny” mantra is based on the human tendency of pride, arrogance, and just plain selfishness. God from the foundation of creation, created a dependency as well as an interdependence structure for us. We weren’t ever created to go it alone or to be empowered to have that much authority. God created us for his glory. He created humanity so that we could share in his overflowing love, grace and goodness.
Episode 8: Being Satisfied
On today’s episode, I want us to really ponder this question- Are you being satisfied with your relationship with God? This is a question I believe that we often arrive at during various times in our spiritual journey and in our relationship with God.
I believe even for some, you may have questioned whether the walk with God is really been worth it. Has the gains outweighed the losses?
Often, I believe that in pursuit of that cohesiveness with God, we may find times that it feels like it’s not as adhesive as we may have believed. What do I mean by that -you may ask? I believe that at various times as we journey, we can become dissatisfied with our relationship with God. Where our dissatisfaction tends to originate is from the lack of intimacy we feel we have with God.
As a flawed humanity, I believe that our relationship with God ebbs and flows. It’s rocky and its smooth. It hits rough patches and sometimes it glides along smoothly. I categorize our relationship as sometimes all in and then at times we are holding our breath and engagement from the periphery of our lives. We can’t seem to find our edge of satisfaction in bonding with our Creator which leads us to find other things to fulfill the void or be the segway. We attempt to readjust the lack of intimacy and relationship with alternatives until we can get back on course.
I admit that even right now as I tape this podcast, I’m struggling. Okay-transparency moment! At this critical stage on my Christian journey, I believe that my relationship should be deeper in scope and context. During my last sabbatical time, I had to admit that in reality I was in real time doing just enough to get by when it came to my relationship with God. I had to admit, that I took some short cuts, even shorten the committed time necessary to be in His presence. I had to ask for forgiveness for taking our relationship for granted.
Becoming aware of your commitment is necessary. Really assessing your committed relationship with God is crucial. Thinking that we don’t struggle in this area only means that you are fooling ourselves.
We all have time constraints; over scheduled agenda items which it makes it just too hard to keep up. It’s hard to keep up with holding your end of the relationship up. So, as we do, we deflect and blame the lack of being satisfied on God.
Am I talking to anyone out there! Proverbs 8:17 eloquently explains God’s intent for us as creation. Listen to this wisdom- “He loves those who love Him, and those who seek to find Him.” Plainly, our relationship with God is not a game of cat and mouse or hide and go seek. The relationship is not part of you do for me and then God does for you. God’s relationship with us is cradled in love, care, compassion, joy, and peace. God’s love relationship towards us, for us, and with us, trumps anything we could offer or put on the table.
His relationship is presented to us without strings, conditions, or measures. His relationship offers the type of intimacy that the 1:00 am calls don’t annoy him. The lack of communication from you does not have him responding saucy when you finally call out His name.
Loving God above all else leads us into always accessing what we need to do in order to enhance our relationship with our Him. Cultivating your relationship with God will harvest growth beyond your imagination. Listen, you Best believe I am fertilizing my relationship with God daily so that I can be completely satisfied with not only Him, but being satisfied that God is satisfied with me and that I am satisfied with myself.
Now, that’s a lot of “satisfied” stuff right there! And, it is my hope and prayer for the same for you who are joining me today. Amen.
In Psalm 16 verse 11, David asks “God to make known the path of life; recognizing that in His presence there is fullness of joy; at God’s right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
We are flawed and often self-centered, however there will be times that you are called to self-preserve in order for God to bring your journey, your purpose to its completion. You will be called to be intentional in self-care so that you can be restored and renewed. There will be times that you will be called to self-prioritize so that you maybe in alignment with God’s voice and will for your life.
Your next level can be a time of joy and peace-happiness and contentment. It can be a time of sheer jubilation and excitement. Your next level can be all you imagined it could be. And what gets you to be able to be at your next level with that sense of invigoration is when your leveling up for your next level offsets what the enemy attempts to throw at you. When the preparation and strategies are fully aligned to the will and power of God. Your next level will be phenomenal!
Who or what encourages you? Today's episode teaches us that there are no problems or issues so deep in your life that should take you to that place where it seems hopeless. You are mighty women of God! God’s power and authority in your situation is greater than your charred experiences. Your giants aren’t greater than God. God is a giant slayer. Your enemies aren’t stronger than God. God can repair the breech. Your circumstances can’t circumvent the sovereignty of who God is. So, get up, yes you my Sistah, get up; wipe off deafeatism; brush off depression; comb out those woe is me strands! Get up!!! Speak life! Encourage yourself!
Today's episode “Shifting Wisely” came to me in such a way that I could not really figure out where God was going with this. So, hear me out. Life by all intended purposes is critiqued as a journey that encompasses twist and turns; it ebbs and flows; it motivates and sometimes it stagnates. It makes you feel that you can conquer anything and it can make you feel that you are defeated by just one thing. Life will happen whether you are prepared for it or not. Are you listening?
We all take our new year resolutions seriously right. I know for me I begin around December 1st with a mental list of how I will be determined to change some things I did do in the year that I wish I hadn’t. I really emphasize on my list things I need to do in order to move forward. What I have come to realize my friends over the years is that most of the time things that I thought should have been an easy win in my life journey were derailed because I had not sought the wisdom of God. I failed- yes failed to take seriously what God was instructing me to do down to the tiniest of details. Anyone out there can relate to that!
What I believe happens for many of us is that we don’t have a problem of executing the plan that is laid out for us when we know the expected outcome. We don’t have a problem with a plan that is purposefully laid out. The issue arises when we are expected to go forth with minimum details. The problem that keeps the execution of a plan from happening is when we really have to trust the process without knowing every part. Many of us aren’t too keen in the “hope and pray that it will manifest major benefits” mantra. Well, I tell you that right there is the linchpin that derails our shift into our next level of dreams, possibilities, and blessings.
The HTW factors are essential in order to shift and to shift wisely. And what are the HTW factors, glad you asked…Hope, Trust and Wisdom.
The book of Proverbs is an interesting read. We find many nuances that can speak to many issues we experience. The main protagonist within the book is Lady Wisdom. Lady Wisdom serves up a buffet of strategies, principles, and processes that allows anyone who is attempting to move forward to discover how this can be realized.
Hope- Proverbs 13:12 “hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Trust- Proverbs 3:5 “trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding.”
Wisdom-Proverbs 9:10 “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge Holy One is insight.”
We can’t shift my Sistahs until we get a big dose of HTW-Hope, Trust, and Wisdom. These factors are all needed and relevant for the journey and more importantly to shift us to the next level of opportunities, possibilities, and blessings. You have to learn that shifting wisely or wisely shifting means that you are ever present with God. You don’t have time to be absent from His leading, His voice, His directions.
As one my dear Sister girls says to me often “I got things to do!” When you are shifting wisely, you can’t get bogged down in stuff that want or can’t elevate you to where you are going. And can I just drop a small nugget for shifting “everyone want be shifting with you!” and “everyone is not going to celebrate you shifting.”
So, remain focused and intentional on your journey. If you get sidetracked- get back on the right path. If you take a detour- lean in on the Spirit as the Spirit advocates as your generated positioning indicator. Don’t allow the distractions to disturb your spirit so you want miss out on the shift that God has purposed for your life. Remember God is the source of wisdom, using His wisdom wisely makes the shift easier and makes us a partner in His plans!” Amen –

Episode 1: "Rebranding of Me" pushes us to recognize the core of our personhood. We all experience life and walk away from each experience with a taught lesson. What should life experiences teach us? Life experiences should teach us a lot about who we are. We should find great value in life lessons if we adhere to their directions and its wisdom. God is doing some intentional work in all of us. We should avail ourselves in allowing God to "brand" us His masterpiece.
The Launch-"Rebranding" who you are is recognizing the core of your personhood, realizing that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. And guess what? God has known that full-well.
