Thankyou all for listening!
Today I had the privilege to chat to Emily Darley of @emilyskinhappy. Again, please forgive the sound quality as this episode was filmed on IG Live before we transitioned to podcast.
There is a huge stigma and shame attached to skin conditions. Emily has Atopic Dermatitis and Contact Dermatitis and I have Hormonal Acne. Both of us have been through a similar journey with our skin, even though both conditions are so different. We talk about the shame surrounding skin, the pain it can cause and the affect skin can have on our mental health.
Skin conditions should be normalised and talked about. We are starting to normalise mental health, body image and much more... now it’s time for skin!
If you need to reach out to someone about your skin, if you feel lost or alone, please drop me a message! There’s a huge community out there and we are there to support you! Do seek medical advice as well. But most importantly look after yourself! Be kind to yourself. We are all beautiful. As was said in the chat... there is no such thing as ‘bad skin’ because all skin is beautiful.
Emily is also a teacher so we also talk about the education system and the amazing jobs people are doing in our schools. This is a time to be kind to each other and support each other. Kindness and understanding goes a long long way!

We hear all about her journey from Bikram yoga to training in power yoga to nutrition to fertility to giving birth to her beautiful girl Coco.
Please forgive the sound quality as this episode was originally recorded on IG Live before the transition to a podcast.
If anything that we talk about resonates with you and you feel you want to reach out to someone, Kathy is the person! You can find her on @sweetorange_nutrition.
Follow @neat_yoga for all Sacred Stories with Annie updates!
