In this bonus episode, Tim and Sophie announce that they are launching a Homesteading Conference in 2024 with Mike and Lacie Dickson, "The Fit Farmer" and Billy and Michelle Bond, "PermaPastures Farm." It is called the Homesteaders United Jamboree which will be held Aug 29-31 in Fletcher, NC. This conference will be centered on building community with great food, music, and company as we share our knowledge with one another. Tim and Sophie also provide a housing market update as they've helped a couple of their clients in the past week get under contract on homesteading properties. On the farm, Tim has been busy with adding more cross fencing to create more paddocks for their cattle and the both of them are raising their second batch of meat birds. They were homesteading before "homesteading was a thing" because they sought to be self-sufficient. By following regenerative farming practices for over 30 years, John and Maggie became well known in the community for being good stewards of their livestock and land. They are passionate about sharing and teaching others.
