Caleb’s steady belief in the promises of God and courage in the face of Giants makes him an incredible hero to learn from. Ps. Andy breaks down how Caleb had a wholehearted devotion to God that was unmatched and because of his faith, God blessed him and allowed him to see the promised land with Joshua in their old age. Be encouraged, your best days are still ahead of you!

Hearing from God can be a scary concept. What if God doesn’t want to speak to me? If He does, how does He speak? How do I know if it's God speaking or something else? What do I do if God is asking me to do something strange? As we wrap up our FEAR NOT series, Pastor Adam answers these questions and more as he looks at Joshua Chapter 6 and the fall of Jericho.

We do not have to look far to feel fearful of our surroundings. Interest rates going up, talk of a recession, disease, war.. Every channel and social media platform is screaming the same thing. Be very afraid. Yet, our God and faith would say the exact opposite, that we should fear not. We are told to be strong, courageous, faith filled Christians in every circumstance or time of difficulty. So how do we do it? How do we fight the fear in our lives? It all starts with knowing that smallest, simplest truth - he won't leave you or abandon you. He is with you!
It’s baptism Sunday which means we celebrate and party with the new life happening all around us! We know that baptism is the outward expression of the inward transformation that Christ has done in the souls of so many people! In this message, Ps. Lisa takes time to unpack what inward transformation looks like and how we as Christians can all constantly walk in a place where we are more and more becoming renewed and transformed to be like Jesus.

It’s one thing to say ”okay God, out of all my money you can have 10%” but what about the other 90%? How do we make sure that we first realize, the whole 100% is from God, and ensure we fight to not have a spirit of selfishness with our money but feel free and open to constantly be generous? Ps. Andy breaks down how to fight a selfish spirit and allow the Holy spirit to make sure we aren’t becoming a reservoir with our finances but a river that goes above and beyond in ways of generosity.

In a world where success and growing and accumulation of wealth is a constant worry, what does it look like to truly and properly tithe? Is this still a biblical command from God? What would it look like if as a Coastline Church we said, “God has been so faithful, therefore so I should be too.” In this sermon Ps. Andy properly and theologically shows you what it looks like to bring a tithe and why it's so important to your spiritual journey.

There are so many things in life you do alone, but truly, life is not meant to be done alone. Coastline church will always be team minded and together focused especially when it comes to serving and helping others. If you want to truly make a difference, if you want to help move people closer to Jesus, and build people and ministry and kingdom life on this island, it has to be done serving together. Alone we may run fast, but together we run far.

Here at Coastline Church we exist to help people take next steps. One of those steps is to help every single person fan into flame the gift that God has placed within them! If you’re a Christian and you belong to Jesus, then you are called to use the gifts and passions that God has put within you to serve and love those around you. We are all called to serve and guard the good deposit and gifting that he is uniquely knit you with and Jesus is asking you to use it every single day! There is definitely a next step for every person after this message!

As we continue to unpack our pillars and talk about the values of Coastline Church, Ps. Lukas preaches on what it means to be truly free. We want our Church to be a place where everyone can know God, and you start your journey to find freedom because we know even though our spirit may have found salvation, our mind and body and heart still battle to find freedom every single day. You are meant to live in freedom, but it can’t happen until we claim our inheritance and sonship in God as Children of God.

It’s welcome home Sunday and we officially move forward with so much anticipation as we claim our new name “Coastline Church”. With so much excitement around our new name, Ps. Andy reminds us, we are still the same church, with the same mission and same pillars. We have always been a home of revival and God is still calling us to bring revival to Vancouver island, in helping people know God no matter what coastline they found themselves on.

It isn't something we talk about often, but the Power of the Blood of Jesus is so important not just theologically but also internally. Simply put, we live in a broken world that doesn’t know how to deal with pain, guilt and shame and the only thing that can speak a better word, bring a better life and truly liberate us from the heaviness is the sacrifice of Jesus. God has something better for us, it's time to stop looking to the world for our rescue.

In week 7 ps. Adam breaks down what it means to walk as children of light. More than just “shining bright”, he helps us ask the hard questions. What does our light represent, what happens when we walk in darkness, are we plugged into the right source? Don't walk in the dim, embrace your faith and let the righteousness of Christ shine through you!

To walk in love really has taken on a whole new meaning in today’s culture. To love in today’s society means to accept and affirm everyone and anyone no matter what they do or how they do it. Ps. Andy pushes back on this “conditional love” and helps us see what it really means to love God and love people in the way Paul urges us too. Paul describes a love that walks in God’s word, God’s way, God’s will in which we hold tight to our worldview while still loving sacrificially to others.

What does it truly mean to walk boldly in our faith? How do we live in such a way that it both honours God and makes a bold statement to the world about our love for Jesus? In this message, Ps. Chris helps us see that being a lifelong disciple of Jesus, constantly and consistently, learning to put on the new self is the real answer to living a bold, different, beautiful faith every day alongside the Holy Spirit.

There is nothing better than the grace of God. Yes sin is real, but thank you Jesus, for He gives us the grace we need to be made right with God and the grace you need to truly motivate you to do the good works God has prepared for you! If you’re feeling discouraged, ashamed or broken, remember, our God is rich in mercy… His grace is new every morning, He takes us from death to life and there is no better message than that! This is absolutely the message you need today!

“Is that true?” A simple and profound question that seems to pop up daily in everyone's mind in today’s climate. Truth to many is a relative term but Jesus constantly spoke in absolutes more than suggesting ideas that “could be true.” He in fact pointed to himself as truth. Similar to the story we read together, we have all asked ourselves and Jesus that difficult, deep question; what is truth? Jesus answers that question, but are we ready to hear it? Or will we be like pilate and walk away before ever seeing and understanding how important the answer is for life today.

We’ve all been in that spot; stuck in a hard place, looking for direction, staring up at the sky asking “God, please give me a sign!” Like the Pharisees, many of us are desperate for that lightning bolt moment, because seeing a sign from God sure seems easier than simply believing in God. In this message Ps. Chris helps us see that Jesus was that very sign. When he says “I am the bread of life” it's not just a metaphor, but a sign that points to Him being the only sign you could ever need, and faith in Him is right where we need to be.

This week Ps. Lisa walks us through the story of Blind Bartimaeus. She unpacks a powerful and personal question that Jesus asks the blind beggar, “What do you want me to do for you?” The real power behind the story is what it took for Blind Bart to be face to face with the one who would heal him, restore him and send him on his way in a life following Jesus. This is a sermon about overcoming the crowd, standing up and standing out to live a life of freedom and faith.

In week number 4 of our series questions Jesus asked, Ps. Lukas unpacks the context to what at first glance is a bit of an awkward sounding question. In a matter of moments, Jesus brings faith, healing and identity to the two people who reached out and asked for help. The question we need to ask is not if Jesus can heal, or wants to help, but are we so busy in our own life, that we have forgotten what it means to be truly desperate and dependent on God.

Its Easter Sunday and Ps. Andy has a word for you! When we think about Easter, we are so excited to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, that He is alive and He has won a great victory! Yet, for the disciples, Mary, and the two disciples walking on the road to emmaus, all they knew was Jesus had been crucified. They literally walked with Jesus on the road and still hadn’t fully grasped what had happened! Could it be that we could see Jesus and not truly know Him? We need a glimpse of the resurrected Jesus! That glimpse can change anything!

When we talk about healing it comes with all sorts of nuance. “How am I healed? Does God choose some people not to be healed?” Or the big question we always ask ourselves, “do I have enough faith to be healed?” In this week's message Ps. Lukas breaks down the question Jesus asks a man who has been a parapalegic for 38 years, “do you want to be well?”. Get ready because Jesus is going to shift your paradigm in more than one way in this piece of scripture.

Typically a scripture we’re more excited to flip past than read intentionally, Ps. Lukas breaks down Jesus’ words and warning when it comes to false prophets and false teachers. Jesus also helps us see exactly what He is after, a heartfelt relationship, deep connection with Him. It’s never just been about ticking off the “spiritual boxes''. At the end of the day if we don’t take the time to truly know Jesus and let Him know us, he’ll simply say words He doesn’t want to, “I never knew you”.

Make no mistake, Jesus has expectations of anyone who calls themselves a Christ follower. “When you …” are the words before Jesus talks about fasting, giving, and prayer and yet, there is one other piece to this puzzle. Jesus’ real concern is that the motivation of your heart is pure. What is your motivation to give? To look generous to others? Or to honour God & bless the least of these? This message will make you pause, reflect and check the motivation of your heart.

For centuries the Jews lived under what we know as “the law”, and in this sermon Ps. Andy breaks down what Jesus means when he says “I have not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it.” Jesus is re-establishing the right way to live and He invites us to a faith based on LOVE not on obligation, relationship not rules. A life following Jesus is not a systemic life of “have-to’s” but a beautiful relationship and connection of “get to’s”.

In a world filled with temptation and constant pressure of sin, how do we wrestle the everyday battle of fighting for God’s purpose and plan for our life, rather than just living to quickly fill the desires of our heart. Jesus’ call to ministry looks a little different than you may realize. He didn’t have to complete a task list or memorize certain verses of the scripture, but he was approved, called and appointed by God the Father. So what does this mean for us? As we wrap up our Christmas series, we take a deeper look at the family life of Jesus. Family life is fluid, constantly changing, and Jesus’ earthly parents were in a wild culture and dangerous time. In this message Andy shows us the intriguing contrast between Jesus, the Messiah King and Herod, the ruling king. Jesus was born in a manger, Herod a mansion. Jesus came for the hurting, Herod lived for himself. Sometimes at Christmas we can become indifferent and find a small piece of Herod in all of us. Caring for more the materials and pleasures of this world, yet Jesus comes and invites us to respond to His way of life, which leads to humility and full hearts of worship and wonder.

The greatest act of humility and service we have ever witnessed is Jesus on the Cross.
