Today, Jordan discusses the answer to the question, Who Defines Our Purpose, and Why? She shares and discusses the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis; Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz in Ruth; and Jesus crucifixion and resurrection in the Gospels as evidence for why we should look to God as the definer of our purpose. God was willing to endure the cross for us, promising Adam and Eve that He would from the moment they sinned. He shows it through His merciful caretaking, His incredible provision and working all things together for our good, and His love for us in His incredible death and resurrection. We have a God - the one True God - who loves us deeply and has defined a purpose for all of our lives. We hope you trust that it’s a good purpose, the best purpose - it’s the best because He’s a merciful, gracious, and good God.

Today, Jordan discusses in an extra-long episode the answers to whether our lives have a purpose and what our lives' meaning is. Think back to this series' central Bible verse, "For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh" (Philippians 3:3), this episode discusses aspects of how we are "the circumcision" - what comes along with being a human made by God in His image, a human Jesus died and rose again for, and a human through which God can do wonderful things. Our lives have meaning because of these three qualities. When we see that our lives have inherent meaning, we then see that our lives have a purpose, and we can further our discussion of what exactly our life's purpose is.

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another."
