There is just one week left in the 2024 MLB regular season and both the American and National League wild card races are INTENSE! What will the playoff picture look like by the weekend?

View Details

We are one week into the 2024 MLB regular season! We've already seen a TON of fun action and we're here to talk about it all!

After a great offensive start to the season, the Blue Jays were looking to stay on track in Houston. However, they ran into the brick wall that is Ronel Blanco, who no-hit them in game one of the series! The Blue Jays followed that up by getting one hit two days later! And just as fast as the Blue Jays flopped from good to bad, the Astros swapped from bad to good. What does this series mean for both teams moving forward?

The Marlins are the only WINLESS team in baseball left. Luis Arraez has not looked like himself and most of their lineup has been dull. When will they get back on track, or will they ever get back on track?

The Dodgers look unstoppable, cruising to a 7-2 record thus far. Mookie Betts has been the best player on the planet, leading MLB in AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, Hits, HR, and RBI! Not to mention, Shohei Ohtani slugged his first homer in Dodger Blue as well. Does it look like any team can stop them?

All that and MORE on this episode!

After not having a set ace in their rotation for what feels like a long time, the Orioles made a big splash by acquiring former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes from the Brewers. Burnes will be the O’s ace in 2024 and is looking to dominate in a tough AL East division. Will he perform as well as he did in Milwaukee?

Plus, what does this trade mean for the Brewers’ future? Is this the start of a fire sale?

Star shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals have agreed to an 11-year contract that will make Witt the highest-paid player in team history! Witt was a breakout rookie in 2022 and put together an outstanding sophomore season in 2023. What does this contract mean for the landscape of young players and what will Bobby do in these next 11 years?

The Dodgers and Padres started Spring Training early ahead of their season opener in Seoul, South Korea! As expected, Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto have been the main attractions thus far, however, Mookie Betts has gotten some attention for stating that the Dodgers are “every team’s World Series” this year. Is that true?

The Astros locked up their cornerstone franchise player as they signed Jose Altuve to a 5-year, $125 million deal. He is a centerpiece for the team both on and off the field and has won championships with the ‘Stros in 2017* and 2022. He is now certainly an Astro-lifer which begs the question: Is he the greatest Astro of all time?

Shohei Ohtani’s contract with the Dodgers is like no other. The two-way superstar will make $700 million because of the mega-deal, but is it as simple as that? With contract deferrals, Ohtani will only make $20 million in the next 10 years. That means the Dodgers will only pay the biggest superstar in baseball history $2 million a year while he plays for them. Will this allow the Dodgers to build a super team?

How does this affect the remaining big free agents on the market like Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Cody Bellinger, Josh Hader, and more?

And of course, the Diamondbacks proved to be better than their underdog status as they have SWEPT the Dodgers in the NLDS. The Dodgers collapse seems yearly at this point and this year they were subject to the red-hot Snakes.

ONE LAST WEEKEND! The 2023 regular season is coming to a close and the playoff races are STILL going!

The AL West is still undecided as well as the AL AND NL WILD CARDS!

How will this final weekend end and what could the playoffs wind up looking like?

View Details

We are just ONE week away from the conclusion of the 2023 regular season! It has certainly been a fun one so far and it still is far from over!

The Rangers are leading the AL West as of Monday and will look to hold onto the lead through the last week of the season to secure their playoff spot and a division title. Will they be able to hold on while the Astros and Mariners fight it out for the Wild Card?

With that, the AL Wild Card is also close, with four teams fighting for three spots, which teams will be able to make it to the Postseason?

The NL Wild Card is even crazier than the AL, with FIVE teams fighting out for just three spots. The weekend was very telling of how they could finish, but anything can happen in the next six games.

Regardless of what happens and who makes it to the postseason, it will for sure be a wild final week!

View Details

The postseason creeps closer and closer each day, which means time is running out for some teams to punch their playoff ticket.

The heavily contested NL Wild Card is still up for grabs. The Phillies sit in the front, up 3.5 games, but below that lies utter chaos. The Diamondbacks, Cubs, Marlins, and Reds all lie a game within each other and the Giants sit just two games behind. Which team has what it takes to slug it out and make the playoffs?

The AL West has been way closer than many people thought it would be. The Astros have risen into first after a bumpy start, but the Rangers and Mariners do not fall far behind. With just two weeks left, can the Astros hold on and take yet another AL West Crown?

The Angels have once again disappointed their fans and the baseball community as they clinched their eighth straight season under .500, the most consecutive seasons in MLB currently. Shohei Ohtani has been ruled out for the season with injury leaving the question: Has he played his last game in an Angels uniform?

Yes, we’re back after a short absence due to school starting up again, but we’re back just in time for the final playoff push and we’re here to keep you updated!

The past couple of weeks has been historically bad for umpires in MLB, with ball/strike calls getting out of hand and borderline ridiculous. Despite the recent boom in offense throughout the league, the Yankees still can’t seem to score any runs or win any games. They continue to fall further and further with the absence of Aaron Judge from their lineup. Is their season over or do they have time to turn it around?

Who is the hottest team in baseball? They may be flying under the radar, but make sure you keep your eyes on them because they might wind up surprising a lot of people come the end of the season…Time Stamps-

Shohei Ohtani gave us one of the COLDEST bat flips we've seen all season when he hit a game-tying home run against the Yankees last night. Recently Ohtani has been showing more and more emotion in his game as the Angels continue to fall back in the AL West. With the Angels only getting worse, a Shohei Ohtani trade seems more and more likely. But will the Angels actually trade him? If so, what would that trade look like?

The trade deadline is rapidly approaching and Shohei Ohtani isn't the only potential trade candidate that could massively help a contending team. Who are the other big trade candidates?

The All-Star Break has come and gone which means the second half of the season has begun! Some teams have come out of the gate hot, and some haven't.

The Orioles have won EIGHT games in a row and are currently one game back of the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the East. It seemed unlikely after the Rays' hot start, but the O's are proving a lot of people wrong. Could the Orioles be in first place by the end of the week?

The Dodgers have also taken care of business lately and behind the hot bat of Mookie Betts, have taken over first place in the NL West as the Diamondbacks fall out. Is this the Dodgers' chance to run away with the division?

Not much action on Monday but that doesn't mean there was nothing!

Shohei Ohtani hit a solo home run in the Angels' eventual 2-1 win over the White Sox and is now on pace for a hefty home run total halfway through the season and a couple of hot weeks could bring that up even higher. If he does have a few hot weeks, could he possibly break the single-season AL home run record set last year by Aaron Judge?

On-pace stats are fun, and so is Esteury Ruiz stealing bases. He's looking to do something that hasn't been done since 1988; steal 80 or more bases...The new rules in baseball have contributed a ton to the increase in stolen bases, but how much have the rule changes helped the sport as a whole so far? You may be surprised to hear just how much they are working!

And as for the action last night, the Orioles called up their number nine overall prospect Jordan Westburg for his major league debut! His family and friends showed out and supported him big time every time he stepped to the plate!

We inch closer and closer to the All-Star break and as we do so, games are getting more and more tense and exciting! Teams are starting to play with incredible amounts of energy and some games have a playoff atmosphere!

The Cubs and Cardinals played a two-game series in London and despite them both having underwhelming seasons, it was a fun series! Did the Phillies hit Corbin Carroll in his first two at-bats on purpose? The star rookie has been on an absolute tear as of late and so have the DBacks. So when your star player gets hit twice in two at-bats, it seems reasonable to not be happy about it. But did Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo overreact? Was it worth it to cause both benches to clear?

JT Realmuto became just the 17th catcher to hit for the cycle and the first since 2004. His ninth inning double completed the cycle and finished off a 4-4, 3 RBI night for the Phillies catcher in their 9-8 loss over the DBacks. Congrats JT!

Another week of baseball is in the books! The Braves did their thing and swept the Mets in shocking fashion after the Mets had leads in all three games. Is it about time we see some managerial changes coming to the Metropolitans? The panic button in New York has been pressed and no one is seeming to answer... Luis Arraez and the Marlins have been on an incredible run as of late, making a case for the division and keeping up with the Braves day after day. Luis Arraez is hitting .403 and there are some serious talks of him potentially hitting .400 come the end of the season. Can he do it? The Blue Jays starters dominated the Astros in the final three games of the series and it feels like their rotation might be more of an upside than their lineup! Could you imagine they had one more dominant starter who may have had a 2.24 ERA last year??? The AL Central is still horrible, as no team currently has a winning record and it could be even worse come the end of the weekend. Again we ask, is this the worst division we've ever seen? The Braves vs Mets saga continued last night as Pete Alonso was hit in his first at-bat the day after yelling "Throw it again" to Bryce Elder. Was this intentional? Were Braves fans in the wrong after they cheered when he was hit and removed from the game?

The Mets have struggled this year but they're not the only good team that has disappointed. The Padres have also struggled big time... but whose shoes would you rather be in; the Mets or the Padres?

Another thing that is bad is the AL Central. No team is above .500 and it may be one of the worst divisions we've ever seen. With this, should MLB consider getting rid of divisions and using a similar playoff seed determination as the NHL and NBA?

A new week of baseball is fully underway! And with it we've already seen some controversial and fun happenings throughout MLB...

Did Pete Alonso get too cocky during last night's Mets-Braves game when he yelled "Throw it again!" at Bryce Elder? The Mets were up 4-1 at the time and Pete had just hit a home run off Elder however, the Mets went on to lose the game 6-4 and now sit 6.5 games back of the Braves in the NL East.

We got some bad news about Rangers ace Jacob deGrom yesterday when we found out that he will be getting Tommy John surgery for the second time in his career which will cause him to miss the remainder of the 2023 season... how much of a hit will this be for the Rangers?

2022 AL MVP Aaron Judge has had yet another fantastic start to the season, however, it was announced last night that he will head to the IL for the second time this season with a toe contusion. How much will the captain being out affect the Yankees and when could we expect him to return?

Throughout all that negatives, we found a great positive in Cincinnati yesterday as the Reds called up their top prospect and MLB's number four overall prospect Elly De La Cruz! How did the young stud fare in his debut against the Dodgers?

We gear up for another fun week in MLB with only a few games on Monday, however, we’re still left with some thoughts after Monday’s slate of games…

Will Luis Arraez be able to do what hasn’t been done since 1941 and hit above .400? He currently has a .399 batting average… its June 6th!

Is the Cardinals season almost officially a wash with them still having the second-worst record in the National League and not being able to find their footing?

Is Trea Turner finally back into his groove after a rough start to the season? Yesterday he hit two home runs and it sure looked like he was ready to start mashing again!

The standings are looking a lot different through two months of the season than we initially thought! The AL East is still a madhouse of good teams, the Diamondbacks are tied for the NL West lead, and both Central divisions SUCK! Some teams have continued to surprise us in good ways like the Texas Rangers, who lead baseball in run differential and don't seem to be slowing down any time soon, and the Diamondbacks, who are currently tied for first place in the NL West with the Dodgers! Other teams have surprised us in not-so-great ways like the San Diego Padres, who despite their incredible superstar presence from Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr, Manny Machado, and Xander Bogaerts, have struggled big-time because of their lack of pitching.

Liam Hendriks has RETURNED to MLB after defeating cancer! He picked up a win on Sunday which was also National Cancer Survivor Day! We are BEYOND happy to see Liam on the field and can't wait to see him pick up where he left off as one of the most dominant relievers in baseball! Congrats Liam!

What might be the biggest question of this season is: Will the Angels trade Shohei Ohtani? Ohtani is set to become a free agent after this season and with the Angels far out in the AL West, we could see them trade the two-way superstar at the deadline in what could be the biggest trade of all time.
