We are your intrepid podcasters, podcasting about a clip show. That's right. The series finale of Felicity is a clip show! Felicity and Ben pick up Noel's personal effects, and Meghan encourages Felicity to contact Paul Korsakoff to do his pre-published time travel spell. Felicity convinces him to help her and familiarizes him with the highlights of what happened in college. Ben asks Felicity to forgive him if she wakes up in the future...which she does. They are reunited after she wakes up from her fever dream (?) / her time travel (?) / her time travel fever dream (?)! All the friends - including a now very much alive Elena and Tracy - celebrate at Noel and Zoe's wedding to the backdrop of Sarah McLachlan's "I Will Remember You."Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

Felicity puts in one more attempt to get back together with Noel, including the Hail Mary of telling him she traveled back in time to be with him. After this attempt fails as well, Felicity begs Meghan to find a spell to send her back to the future. Julie is planning a road trip, and Ben is keen to join her and drop out of school for a little while. Noel is worried about Felicity's mental health. He and Ben - thinking Felicity might have psychosis - do an intervention with Felicity and persuade her to talk to a professional at a mental health institution. The result? She is put on a 72-hour hold, but first Felicity gives Ben information about his immediate future (Lauren calling him about his dad's liver problems) to try to prove her point. Felicity runs into Zoe in the mental health facility. Ben, who has wanted to believe Felicity all this time, gets the fated call from Lauren and realizes he does believe her. Ben breaks Felicity out of the mental health facility, takes care of her, and gets a download from Felicity on what happens in the future that made her want to get a do over with Noel. Meghan wants revenge on Sean for breaking her heart. She uses her new (imaginary) boyfriend Paul to make him jealous and then humiliates Sean with evidence of his jealousy in her photography class project. In the process of canceling an order of jewelry from her fake boyfriend, she locates the real Paul Korsakoff, the author of the future time travel book. Javier and Elena fight because he wants to get a manicure instead of help her study for her Spanish exam. While getting the manicure, Dean + Deluca is robbed, and Javier is fired for negligence. Ben and Felicity are reunited! He is trying to convince her to stay in this timeline so they can do senior year right, when Felicity gets the news that Noel died in a fire in the administration building.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

New tactic from Ben to get Felicity back: Challenge Felicity in her choices. Frustrated Felicity is flustered. It seems that there is still a force drawing them together. Noel is searching for a new apartment, and he and Felicity decide to move in together. Sean is excited, because Julie is about to come to visit him. Except, she's coming for an audition. When she finds out that Sean might have other intentions, she friend zones him. And then goes on a date with Ben. Sean reconnects with Meghan. Somehow, Julie and Ben and Noel and Felicity go on a double date - a date filled with tension and a vulnerable conversation between Ben and Felicity. They all go back to the loft, where Julie, Ben, Noel, Felicity, Meghan, and Sean end up playing an uncomfortable game of spin the bottle. During the game, Noel sees Felicity still has residual feelings for Ben, and he breaks up with her.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

This episode is brought to you by Melissa and Fish getting spun around by time travel and the personality inconsistencies of our favorite Felicity characters. Felicity and Noel are flirting and romantic, but they are trying to be discreet with their friends. As they go to more out-of-the-way date destinations, they run into Hanna at a street fair. Hanna is struggling to get clients for her piano lessons, and she is keen to get Noel to be her web developer plus benefits. Felicity's jealousy is activated as Noel debates whether he wants to be with Felicity (who is freaking him out) or Hanna. Ben and Felicity still have a class together, and Ben gets Felicity to tutor him, resulting in a study session that gets a little too steamy for Felicity's liking. Javier is auditioning for Man of La Mancha and gets Elena to be his coach. Sean is encountering the money troubles he had at the start of season 4. He won't accept Meghan's financial help, because he is still in touch with Julie and wants to put his feelings out there for her. We start 6 months from the end of The Graduate. Elena has died in a car accident. Felicity, in her grief, pulls away from Ben, who cheats on Felicity. Meghan convinces Felicity to come back to NY for Noel and Zoe's wedding. After comments from both Noel and Felicity that they each have thought about what it would have been like if they were together (instead of Noel and Zoe), Felicity makes a wish and Meghan does a spell (with a book that was recently published) that sends Felicity back in time to the night Felicity and Noel slept together. When Felicity realizes what has happened, she embraces the do over. Felicity breaks up with Ben as fast as she can and tells Noel she wants to be with him. The only person Felicity tells about the time travel is Meghan, and all characters - including Meghan - are confused by Felicity's manic and unusual behavior. In the alternate timeline, Elena and Tracy fight about the Felicity/Noel/Ben situation and call off their wedding, and this time Meghan and Sean don't get married instead.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

Despite the paper shenanigans, Felicity and Ben are both graduating! In other exciting news, Ben and Felicity get engaged right before Ben is called to meet Lauren (who is labor) in Philadelphia. Felicity's parents come to town for her graduation. Unsurprisingly, Edward Porter discourages her from moving back to NY next year, continuing architecture, or, presumably, getting married to Ben. Noel, at least, is supportive. Ben returns home feeling sad that he left his son Andrew. Felicity and Ben moving to Arizona to be with Ben's newborn is put back on the table. Economic times are hard, and Sean and Noel are let go from Webb Group Graphics. Sean shows generosity by taking a job with Mr. Rotundi, but Noel saves the day by re-starting Sean and Noel's business partnership. The friends all graduate, and Felicity decides to go neither to NY nor to Arizona next year. Instead, she and Ben break up. Many good-byes are said. The show picks up 6 months later with a surprise reunion!Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

Lauren is suddenly a villain, and Felicity's and Lauren's claws both come out. She is leaving for Arizona tomorrow, she's stressed, and she needs Ben's help to pack. Lauren drinks and drives...and crashes with Ben in the car, sending them both to the hospital and him to surgery. After initially lashing out at Lauren, Felicity eventually responds with generosity, and Lauren makes peace with her before leaving town. Felicity wants to come clean to her art history professor about plagiarizing her paper, but isn't able to do so until the last minute - when she is about to stand in front of the editorial board. Richard wants Elena to be his date at a fundraiser to make another girl jealous, because he wants to show he supports diversity. Fish and Melissa rip this storyline to shreds. Sean is concerned about Zoe and Noel's lack of a sex life, making Noel even more self-conscious about it. Noel confronts Zoe about her seeming lack of interest in him, but when she shares that her sex drive has been connected to her mental health and her meds, her response brings them closer.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

Ben gets an image from Lauren's recent ultrasound, and it stresses Felicity out - so much so, that she can't concentrate on her 30-page paper for her art history class. She takes Meghan's advice, copies a dissertation, and submits it as her own. When her professor loves it so much that she submits it for publication, it raises the eyebrows of the editorial board. Felicity is in trouble! Sean's overbearing style of pitching isn't working well with the clients, and Webb asks Noel to get Sean to tone it down. Javier thinks Rita's new boyfriend is gay and confronts him.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

Ben decides to participate in his child's life, but a new wrinkle is added when Lauren informs him she is moving to Arizona. Ben pushes back to no avail. Stressed, Ben self-sabotages in his relationship with Felicity and becomes angry over Felicity's continued connection to Noel. Adam and Felicity's model wins the architecture contest, and Adam offers her a job in NY after she graduates to keep working on the project. Zoe becomes hesitant at the idea of announcing the relationship with Noel to anyone in the office and would rather call it off. When she reveals the nature of her reservations - for three years she loved someone who loved someone else, and she was hospitalized with depression as a result - Noel and Zoe become closer than ever. Meghan and Javier's friendship becomes threatened - and then becomes strengthened - by competition over a commercial audition.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

Ben's dad heard about Lauren's pregnancy and judges the unknown father for deciding not to be in the child's life. When Ben admits he is the father, Ben's dad urges him to reconsider. Felicity continues to feel the overwhelm and tension around Ben's denial of Lauren being pregnant. Noel gets Felicity an opportunity to work on an architecture project to explore a possible career path. She assists a grad student named Adam Davis who is heartbroken and obsessed over his ex. Noel and Zoe continue to try to navigate their personal relationship in a professional office setting. Meghan and Sean revive their core fight: She wants to go out at night sometimes and he wants her to support his inventions (his latest one being shoe covers). Each finds a stranger who seems to support them more in their interests - but, in the end, they realize they are happy together. Trevor and Ben volunteer for Big Brother to improve their med school applications. And all of the characters united at a big party at the ladies' apartment. Lauren breaks some big news to Ben. She's pregnant. It's his. She's keeping the baby. Ben reels and, by the end of the episode, shares the news with Felicity. Owen and Felicity are going to galleries trying to sell their work, and they are getting rejected at every turn. Felicity, worried about her future, meets with her mom and ends up arguing over whether she should take a safer opportunity in real estate or go for her passion. She decides to stay the course. Hodges asks Trevor and Ben to be his research assistants on a publication for study. Ben - totally overwhelmed by the situation with Lauren - makes a mistake on the lab and almost gets kicked off the project. But Bill Hodges is forgiving in the end. Noel and Sean pitch a large account with CGG Corp, in competition for the account with Webb Group Graphics. Noel decides to go on a date with Zoe now that he has his own business. When Noel and Sean get the CGG Corp account AND get a great offer to be acquired by Webb Group Graphics, his new relationship becomes more complicated. Meghan and Javier are in an acting class together and have to do a scene from All About Eve. Javier's assertion that Meghan is just like Margo Channing offends Meghan, but their fight leads to a great performance.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

As the semester comes to a close, Ben is initiating more contact with Felicity, and she lets him know that she wants to get back together. Ben's dad gives him a pep talk about relationships, and Ben runs to catch Felicity at the airport before she flies back to Palo Alto for winter break. They get back together! A donor liver is identified for Ben's dad, but it is delayed due to a snowstorm, so he is back in dire straits. Despite his dad's misgivings, Ben authorizes his mom to donate part of her liver. His mom's condition becomes critical post-surgery, but she pulls through, and the prognosis for both of his parents is good. Sean gets Noel a pitch for a website build with sports equipment company, and their business partnership is born! Javier and Rita help each other with video dating. Their dates are not a good match for them, but their own friendship strengthens. Ben and Felicity are seeing less and less of each other, but that doesn't mean they're not on each other's minds. Noel is taking his meds and getting his life back on track. He's even starting his own graphic design business! With his therapist, he comes to the conclusion that he needs to start spending less time with Felicity. Unfortunately, he is having a very hard time setting limits with Felicity every time he sees her. Meghan's high school-age sister, Lila, comes for a visit - except, SURPRISE!, she's pregnant. Meghan calls in her mom for reinforcement. Ben has studied his heart out for his O Chem final, and he gets a 95 - much to the pride of both himself and Professor Hodges. An electrical fire starts in the administration building. Noel saves Felicity but holds to his boundaries not to hang out with her socially - and he even lets Ben know that Felicity is okay. Ben realizes that he could have lost Felicity and gives her an awkward call where much is left unsaid. Felicity gets advice from Cavallo that - if she wants to reapply for the honors thesis program - she needs a cohesive theme in her art. She decides on the theme of piñatas and starts painting up a storm. When her work burns in the fire, Cavallo takes pity on Felicity and lets her into the honors art program.Sign up for our newsletter for updates: https://mailchi.mp/e73780cdd4ef/felicity-podcast

~This is a spoiler heavy podcast for the next three episodes of Felicity and for A Streetcar Named Desire.~ Felicity is still hopeful to get back together with Ben, but Ben wants to move on. Javier is going to try to put them back together with an elaborate scheme to get them to see a showing of A Streetcar Named Desire together. Unfortunately, Ben brings Lauren - who is staying in NY indefinitely - as his date. Noel assures Sean and Meghan that he is going to move out soon to cut the tension in the loft. Noel starts going to a therapist, who recommends that Noel take medication for depression. Javier makes a new friend from acting class, a lonely widow named Rita. Elena tries to fix Felicity up with Felicity's new studio-mate, a grad student named Owen who TAs the class before hers. Felicity and Owen do go on a date (which includes an awkward greeting at the door by Owen and Ben simultaneously), which piques Ben's interest a little (enough for him to leave a conflicted voicemail for her), but Felicity realizes she isn't ready to date anyone new. Lauren's ex starts calling her again, and calls Ben in a moment of vulnerability. It's time for the last Thanksgiving of college!
Felicity continues sad/angry painting. Meghan does a spell to get Felicity and Ben back together, and then endeavors to make the conditions right for the reunion - she arranges for Felicity to host Thanksgiving and invites Ben. Unfortunately, Ben is feeling angry about Felicity cheating on him, and he brings Lauren to Thanksgiving dinner to get back at her. For a moment, it looks like Ben and Felicity might reconcile, but in the end he decides he can't forgive her.
Noel's brother Ryan comes for a visit and asks Noel some hard questions about his life. Noel avoids the situation by picking up a random woman in a bar and getting robbed. Ryan mentions that there is a history of depression among the men in their family and encourages Noel to get help. Noel calls Pavone to get a referral.
Elena doubts whether Trevor is smart enough for her to date. Meghan encourages her to give Trevor a test of his intelligence - which he fails. Although Trevor is insulted by the test, he forgives her in the end.

It's Felicity's 21st birthday, and Ben has been planning a getaway to Vermont. Unfortunately, it will never come to pass, because Ben's dad is in a NY hospital with liver failure, and Lauren, one of Ben's dad's contacts from AA, encourages Ben to meet with his dad to say goodbye. His father asks him to assume power of attorney and carry out his wishes: No pain meds, no machines, and a DNR order.
Felicity leads a critique for Art 10 that doesn't go well, Professor Cavallo invites her to lunch to discuss. At lunch, Cavallo crosses the line into sketchy flirting. Felicity calls out Cavallo and he denies having an interest in her - though he appears to be making inappropriate advances to one of his students.
Tammy and Gabby - the frustrating freshmen - become new roommates in the ladies' apartment thanks to Noel's distracted guidance counseling. Elena, while at the end of her rope, leaves an angry message for Noel - during which Richard interrupts and drops the news about Noel sleeping with Felicity. Elena and Richard go on a mission to erase the voicemail from the loft's machine.
Noel goes out on four interviews for jobs that he withheld from his counseling students and gets a job at a graphic design firm! But when he sees Ben and Lauren on the street and thinks Ben is cheating on Felicity, Noel confronts Ben and reveals his affair with Felicity. Fueled by frustration, Ben decides to ignore his father's wishes and authorizes the doctor to save his dad's life.

It's a Halloween episode!
Felicity interviews for the Art 10 TA position under Professor May and gets the job + scarf! But that's not as important as the fun fact that we unearthed about the actress who plays her professor... Unfortunately, Professor May gets arrested for shoplifting, forcing Felicity to take over until the position is refilled. Her students recognize her from the beauty pageant, and she loses their respect instantly. Melissa and Fish rage against the students raging against the machine. In the end, Professor Cavallo becomes the new Art 10 professor.
The ladies are having a Halloween party in their apartment. Richard dresses as Darth Vader and gets his homemade mask stuck on his head. Meghan and Sean fight over whether her look truly distinguishes her from others, and she ends up deciding to make her 60s Halloween costume her permanent new look.
Javier and Samuel are fighting, so Javier stays with his friends. Noel is forced to distract Javier by traveling to Atlantic City to go to a Lionel Richie concert. The concert may be sold out, but that doesn't stop Javier from getting relationship advice from Lionel Richie in the men's room.
After raising an injustice with their o chem professor, Professor Hodges, Ben and Trevor get kicked out of class. They go out to drink away their sorrows, and Trevor blacks out and lands in a coma. Ben handles the situation well and appeals to their professor about the big picture - and gets them both back into class.

Felicity is getting ready for the Miss Sunrise Surprise Beauty Pageant, which she is already reluctant to do, but is even moreso when she discovers she might be pregnant. She shares the information with Noel and Elena, but Ben finds out on his own. By the end of the episode, Felicity confirms that she is not pregnant, to the relief of both her and Ben...and - still secretly - Noel.
We get behind the scenes as Felicity participates in the pageant, along with a new cast of fun characters like Monica! The singer Monica! Mo-ni-ca Monica. Felicity doesn't win the pageant, but she does win a prize for Best Evening Wear.
Noel goes to the university guidance counselor for advice finding jobs and ends up taking over his job as the new guidance counselor. Good timing, because now he can drop some classes for Ben. Plus, he has to fill a TA position for Art 10, which is great because he can offer that to Felicity to fix her money troubles.
Meghan's dad was serious about the threat to disown her if she doesn't divorce Sean, so Meghan takes a more serious interest in Sean's business ventures, vetting his ideas for viability.

Meghan's parents, frustrated that she got married on the spur of the moment, decide to host a dinner with Meghan, Sean, and Sean's parents. Sean panics, expecting his dad to be an embarrassment as he haggles and pitches ideas to Meghan's parents. In multiple attempts to have this dinner, the tension between Sean and Sean's dad - who are basically the same person - is palpable. Meghan's dad threatens to disown her if she doesn't get a divorce.
Felicity and Ben get back together, but Felicity is still riddled with guilt over indiscretion. She confides her secret in Javier.
Felicity gets almost no financial aid and has to start searching for scholarships. She likes the look of a scholarship for young women in art, but turns to a beauty pageant option when she finds out that scholarship isn't available.
Ben shares supportive words with Elena about breaking her engagement, and Elena starts to help Ben - and Ben's new lab partner, Trevor - with o chem assignments. Trevor starts flirting with Elena.

The episode with the biggest valve.
Noel and Felicity have a confrontation about his feelings for her. Felicity wants to be friends, but Noel doesn’t know how to do that. Richard has caught Noel toilet papering the library on the security camera, and he/the administration dole out a punishment: Noel has to restock toilet paper in all bathrooms on campus.
Ben and Felicity make up, although Felicity hasn’t told him what is going on with Noel.
Javier has chest pains and is brought to the hospital, requiring Felicity to manage Dean and Deluca in his absence. Amid all the awkwardness with Noel, Felicity asks him to help out at Dean and Deluca, and he saves the day at the cafe as a steamer on the fritz wreaks havoc. But then Noel revokes her Seattle job offer when he finds out Ben would come with her. Noel finally sets a boundary with Felicity: He can’t be friends with her right now.
DeForrest invites Elena for a fun night out at karaoke. When he declines coming back to her place to avoid dealing with “proving time,” he frustrates Elena, who tells him off. DeForrest gets vulnerable with her about his past, and they kiss.
Meghan tries and fails to resist going to therapy with Sean. The session with Dr. Zwick (Teri Garr) brings major insecurities to light, along with some compassion and strange therapeutic exercises. In the end the whole group comes together at Sean’s bar mitzvah.

Noel gets the Seattle job, and he offers Felicity a job for the summer. Richard is on the hunt to prevent senior pranks and inadvertently gives Noel the bright idea to toilet paper the library with Felicity. All is fun and games until Richard sees Noel on the security footage.
Avery tells Noel that something happened with Ben in Southampton, fueling Noel’s frustration. Avery overdoses on pills to get Ben's attention. Ben is called to her bedside, and she does what she can to try to suck him back him. When Ben finds the break-up kit, it all results in a huge blow-up between Ben, Felicity, and Noel where Ben’s inability to say no to Avery and Noel’s love for Felicity are called out. The result of the fight? Ben finally says good-bye to Avery, and Noel kisses Felicity and tells her he has feelings for her.
Elena’s apartment is too noisy for studying for the MCATs, so DeForrest offers to share his hotel room. When Elena avoids a kiss from him, he flees. But then Elena pushes herself to kiss DeForrest, and he sends her away.
Sean’s going to have a Bar Mitzvah, and he invites his rabbi over for dinner. When Meghan meets Rabbi Levin – a beautiful woman who seems to have a lot in common with Sean – she gets jealous. Sean asks Meghan to see a couples counselor with him.

It's the Rorschach test of Felicity episodes!
Felicity and Ben are on the rocks, and Felicity is angry-painting up a storm. Noel spends the entire episode trying to cheer her up between fits of Felicity dropping everything to meet Ben. Felicity suggests that she and Ben take a break (not realizing that sounded like a break up), and Ben goes to Southampton with Avery to think. Felicity follows him to declare her love for him - and fails. Noel makes Felicity a homemade “break-up kit” and Eunice Crane’s beef stew to cheer her up. He is just about to profess his love to her when Ben returns from Southampton to make up with Felicity.
Molly is back from the UK, and she brought mud masks! She gives Elena a facial, and the product somehow burns Elena’s corneas. Elena is temporarily blinded, and Molly becomes her guide. In class, a friendly student – DeForrest – offers to take notes for Elena. Elena is attracted to DeForrest’s voice and kindness, and Molly doesn’t tell Elena that DeForrest is overweight.
Meghan conducts a séance for her dead dog, Pickles, and ropes in non-believer Sean to participate. Sean makes fun of the ceremony, and Meghan fakes being possessed by Sean’s dead grandmother to get back at him, making up a gift his grandmother left for him. Sean gets one up on her by pretending that he really did find cash in his grandmother's closet and inspires her to buy something nice for herself, which she does…with his credit card.

Meghan’s old more-than-a-friend Kris is coming to town for a visit before her wedding. Since Kris is a filmmaker, Sean is solely focused on showing her the Docuventary despite a storm knocking out the power. Kris, however, is looking to rekindle her love for Meghan, making Sean feel threatened.
Noel is being courted by a Seattle internet company. He is dating Avery, but Avery can’t seem to stop focusing on Ben, and he breaks up with her.
Ben is secretly on academic probation, and he is struggling as he studies for an important test. Avery offers to help him cheat, but he can’t bring himself to use the old tests she buys for him. Ben being continually drawn in by Avery upsets Felicity, who runs to Noel for emotional support.
Elena is wondering why Tracy didn’t love her, and unfortunately Noel jokingly suggests it might be her boobs, giving us an entire episode in which Elena is fixated on enhancing her boobs.

Then Elena finds a condom in Tracy’s wallet, and she begins to spiral.
A fully-recovered Avery returns to town looking for Ben. She’s in a gift-giving mood and is lavishing expensive presents on Ben and Felicity – but Felicity can tell that there is an ulterior motive for her to get her hooks into Ben. And when she confronts Avery about it, Avery confirms her intentions on Ben!
Noel is going through an existential crisis and is also suckered in by Avery – he sleeps with her!
Meghan is assigned a work-study position as an elementary school teacher, which she is totally uninterested to do until she realizes what she really wants to do with her life is teach kids witchcraft.

Felicity and Greg arrive at a cabin in Rhinebeck for a relaxing, no pressure weekend away. Except Ben has followed them. Ben tries to talk to Felicity, but she – infuriated – makes him leave without letting him get a word in. With the news of Ben's intrusion - and Felicity obviously preoccupied but in denial - Greg makes the call to end the weekend excursion and go back to school.
The pipes burst in Meghan and Felicity’s dorm, and they are both supposed to relocate to stay with their advisees in the cafeteria. Except they both end up staying in the loft, along with Ruby. Sorry, advisees!
Tracy takes initiative to finish the walls in Elena’s apartment, bringing in our new friend Vincent to strip the wallpaper and start painting. Elena and Noel decide to stay at the loft, and so begins apartment apocalypse.
With everyone in the loft, Game Night commences. Sean gets a promising call about his docuventary, and he goes in for the kiss with Julie. After an iconic, Sarah McLachlan album title-filled motivational speech from Meghan, Ben interrupts Greg and Felicity’s date to profess his affection for Felicity and declare he wants her back. Greg punches Ben, and Felicity runs after...Greg!

Ben leaks the information about Greg’s drug arrest to Richard – who then leaks the information to the whole school. Both Felicity and Greg are sure that their respective helpers are adhering to a stricter moral code than they actually are. In the end, they both lose the election.
Greg invites Felicity to go away for the weekend, which she declines until she finds out that it was Ben who leaked the drug arrest information. They think they are getting a weekend away from everyone. Except Ben is at the train station ready to follow them!
Meanwhile, Tracy plans a romantic date for Tracy, which ends awkwardly. It turns out, he is a virgin and won’t have sex until he is married!
And Ruby is back from telling her parents that she is pregnant, but she is not planning to tell the baby’s father. Noel takes counsel from Julie and advises Ruby to reconsider.
Plus, Fish debuts our new “You’re the worst!” segment.

Sean, our favorite documentarian, is heavy-handed with his interviews in his attempt to bring Ben and Felicity together for a happy ending for Docuventary. Ben continues to be defensive. Felicity continues to deny feelings for Ben – until the final moments? Maybe?
It’s time for a Sadie Hawkins dance fundraiser for the student government elections. Julie asks Noel to go as friends (?), Felicity asks Greg, Pam asks Ben, and Elena asks Tracy. The Elena and Tracy cat and mouse game resumes, because Tracy already agreed to go to the dance with B-minus Laurie.
Greg asks Felicity to be his campaign manager as he runs for Student Council President. The flames of Ben’s contempt for Greg are fanned. Meanwhile, Leila and Richard also put their hats in the ring for President. Felicity discovers that she disagrees with Greg’s entire platform and agrees with Leila’s, then ends up stepping in for Leila when she backs out of the race!
When a career placement test produces “stockbroker” as a result for Ben, Dr. Pavone sets up an internship for him. The internship ends up being a glorified babysitter job when his boss pawns off his kid on Ben. Ben has a breakthrough experience with the kid playing basketball, but the kid gets injured on the court, and Ben rushes him to the health center where Felicity gets a first-hand look at responsible Ben.

Fish has a bone to pick with Greg in this episode. Felicity wants to take the newly-vacated role of Greg’s assistant at the health center. Jim, a guy who does work-study at the health center, wants the position, too. Greg has to hire someone and wants it to be Felicity. Greg and Felicity also decide to go on a date. Greg: Egregious perpetrator of the #metoo movement, or just a badly-written scenario? Let the Melissa and Fish debate begin!
Richard is now assisting Sean in the making of the Docuventary, because the Independent Film Channel needs more content! Ben doesn’t want to be interviewed again, but gets roped in because Felicity is doing it (even though she doesn’t want to, either). All of our main cast gets interviewed about each other, their love lives, and whatever else Sean and Richard can get them to talk about. Noel loses the blue books for his class’ test, and it all gets documented on film!
Ben is being forced to complete his community service hours quickly, and we get the pleasure of seeing him do a variety of jobs to make up that time, including cafeteria dishwasher, admissions office file clerk, and CAMpus security.
Plus, Ben uses his admissions office job to look up Greg’s student file and becomes concerned when he learns that Greg was previously arrested for possessing cocaine. When he finds out that Greg is dating Felicity, he confronts Greg about his past.

Leila Foster shows up at the health center and asks Felicity for an appointment to get the morning after pill. Greg lets Felicity know that – due to a trustee decision in the last year – the health center no longer administers the morning after pill. Felicity gets riled up, does some research on protests, and sets the wheels in motion to start a sit-in at the health center. Burkey helps with promotion to get a bunch of people in the door, and media interest develops from the NY Times and a TV crew.
Julie confides in Felicity that she is having nightmares about Zack. Felicity encourages her to talk to a counselor, because talking it out may help. And it's a good thing she does that, because when Felicity falters as the spokesperson on live TV, Julie jumps in and speaks her mind – and her story – on behalf of the protestors.
The trustees cave, the protestors win the battle, and Felicity kisses Greg in excitement!
Noel tutors Ben in philosophy. Every little thing they do in this episode is magic, from flying beer cans to a living room brawl to mutual misery from their hangovers. Are you ready for another long podcast? We're sorrrrry. We're sorry. We're very sorry.

Ben tries to go on a date with the perfect, wonderful Pam, but isn’t into it. His heart is with Felicity. Sean tells Ben to go talk with Felicity about it, and Ben makes a beeline for the health center to declare his love...just in time to see Felicity and Greg celebrating a passed health center review.
Felicity hangs out with her dad after a couple of weeks of not meeting up with him. When she drops by his apartment, she finds all of his belongings still boxed up, and she discovers that he is taking sleeping and anti-anxiety pills.
Greg is stressed as he gets the health center ready for its review. He is down a doctor or two, and Felicity offers up her father to volunteer. But when Dr. Porter shows up late on the day of the all-important review, she discovers that her father no longer works at the university hospital and confronts him.
Meghan continues to hit on Greg, who is officially her flavor.
Ruby starts to withdraw from Noel, expecting that he won’t be there for her as she has her baby. In the end, he decides that he will be there for her…as a friend.
Finally, Tracy seduces Elena by being a super genius, turning on the cockiness/charm, and sparking her competitive side, which both frustrates and attracts her.

This is a historic podcast. Why? Well, you'll just have to listen to find out!
No one wants to look at the terrible wallpaper in Elena and Noel’s apartment anymore (including Fish), so Elena decides to host a painting party for the whole crew. All of our main characters converge on Noel and Elena’s apartment for a wild scene of dancing, love triangles, Meghan drooling over Greg, and tactless pregnancy speculation.
Noel panics over Ruby's pregnancy. Then, at the ultrasound, the couple finds out that Ruby got pregnant while she was in LA!
Ben is the empathy king in this episode, becoming a confidant for Noel, who is now his TA since Pavone assigned Ben to take a philosophy class. Ben spends most of the episode loathing Greg in the most adorable of ways.
Greg is stressed about the review coming up at the clinic and accuses Felicity of deleting important files. Felicity pushes back, and Greg makes an apology – leading to a late night data entry session for the two. Excel + Chill date?
Julie is still coping with being triggered by Erik and confides in Sean.

Be blue! Fish and Melissa want to discuss this episode, but are so distracted by the darn piano music underpinning the Noel and Ruby scenes. Ruby's pregnancy test is positive, and the couple grapples with this new reality. Noel and Ruby go to health center make an appointment for an abortion, but in the end Ruby decides to have the baby.
Felicity and Ben get their punishments from Dr. Pavone: community service plus continued counseling sessions. Ben chooses the same community service job as Felicity - working at the health center - and then promptly quits the job after a run in with Greg, their new, arrogant boss. Dr. Pavone gives Ben excellent advice and a Pachelbel album to listen to.
Erik convinces the head of PopRocks to sign a record deal with Julie. But then he makes a move on Julie, who gets triggered about her previous sexual assault and pushes him away. Erik breaks the record deal, because it wasn’t just about her music after all.
Finally, Fish and Melissa come up with a viable idea of what Elena’s storyline could have been for the first 13 episodes of season 2. #GiveElenaAStory

We meet Dr. Pavone, and Melissa can’t contain her excitement. Felicity and Ben are assigned to start counseling with Dr. Pavone, which is just in time as Felicity starts to sink into the depression and uncertainty she faces as her parents split up.
Barbara Porter comes to town so Felicity can hear the news of the split from both her parents together…except Felicity already knows! Commence an episode full of posturing and bickering from Felicity’s parents and then the big reveal that Felicity’s mom and dad got married young because they were pregnant with her. Over a series of sessions, Dr. Pavone works with Felicity to unpack her experiences. This one is a tearjerker, folks.
Felicity and Ben fantasize about dropping out of school and traveling in Europe. Courier tickets to Vienna, anyone?
We get our first glimpse of Donald Faison as Tracy, Elena’s sexy new lab partner who is apparently single.
And there’s trouble in paradise with Ruby and Noel. She’s late! As in, maybe pregnant!

Melissa and Fish are switching optimist and cynic roles for this Twilight Zone tribute episode. With the most mixed feelings we have ever had on an episode, we tackle the purpose, value, and timing of this themed episode within the context of the early second half of season 2.
"Help for the Lovelorn" examines the idea of whether it is better to heal a broken heart by forgetting your heartache altogether – and with it, the experience of love. Where will Felicity come down on the debate? And what is in Meghan's box? You will find out at least one of those answers here!

After the holiday break, Felicity’s dad flies back to NY with her for “professional reasons,” then proceeds to spend every waking minute with or looking for his daughter, then throws her into disarray when he reveals that he is thinking about sticking around NY because Felicity’s mom is splitting up with him. (Note: We talk a lot about emotional manipulation and techniques for dealing with it in this episode).
Ben and Felicity are on shifts together again, and Ben is in a great mood – and even getting interested in winning her back – until the swim program at the university is cancelled and leaves him rudderless. Ben and Felicity blow off some steam by breaking into the pool with beer in hand. It’s all fun and games until they get caught!
Sean realizes he needs to declare his feelings for Julie…but can he do it? Meanwhile, Julie gets a music contract, which would be exciting, except her record label contact Erik is hitting on her. Will her dream come with a caveat?
And, last but not least, Noel is now a Teaching Assistant for a class Ruby takes, which causes some tension in their relationship.

Felicity is having confusing dreams about the men in her life and realizes that she has feelings for Noel. Noel and Felicity pair up on a final art project to draw each other’s portraits which gives Felicity an opening to declare her feelings for Noel. Noel declines, but then immediately begins to reevaluate and withdraw from Ruby, who approaches Felicity to plead for mercy. What a triangle these three are!
Meanwhile, Sean has some interest from a potential investor for Smoothaise! Yay! And then he doesn’t anymore. Boo!
Julie invites record label scouts to her open mic night, and – much to Sean’s chagrin – Eric Kidd from A&R Pop Rocks shows up enthusiastic to get a demo deal going for her. Fish gets equally enthusiastic over the actor playing Eric Kidd, Adam Rodriguez.
Mostly importantly, Ben panics over his American Lit final paper about The Invisible Man. Or was it Invisible Man?

Felicity is staying in NY for Thanksgiving and loosely plans to hang out with David – until Felicity’s parents drop in for a surprise visit and invite themselves and David (and eventually his mother and Meghan) to new Thanksgiving plans. Elena and Noel decide to host the big event, and the game is on!
Felicity’s parents start off judging the many changes in Felicity’s life and then change their tune to supportive once Felicity pushes back.
David is getting much more serious than Felicity, is happy – not freaked out – to meet her parents, and even drops the word LOVE! Gulp. Felicity starts to panic and kisses Noel as a reaction, which David’s mom – Professor Sherman – walks in on. An all-party fight ensues, leading to a David and Felicity break up.
The storied peppermint vs. wrinkled fabric home décor debate of 2022 commences.
Finally, Ben, Sean, and Julie are roped into working a holiday charity event for Dean & Deluca not knowing the part is being thrown by Maggie and her husband! Maggie uses the opportunity to publicly out Ben as the man she is having an affair with to retaliate for her husband cheating on her.

Felicity finds a stray dog on the street and proceeds to try to get everyone she knows to take him in. Mami – Javier’s fan favorite cat – makes an appearance, rejecting having Lucky stay at her home.
Felicity and David’s relationship has progressed. They are kissing and spending the night, but is Felicity secretly avoiding sex? Lucky the dog is used as a welcome disruption anytime it seems to be getting hot and heavy with David.
Maggie propositions Ben to officially have an affair with her – after some consideration, Ben agrees! Meanwhile, Sean continues to not be able to tell Julie how much he loves her as she continues to obliviously flaunt her dating life in front of him.

This episode is brought to you by mono. Carl is ground zero, of course.
Felicity is wondering why David hasn’t made the first move yet. But, thanks to Meghan now having mono, Felicity is going to stay with him at his apartment! Until he cancels and tells her his apartment is being fumigated, much to the suspicion of Felicity, Javier, and Elena.
Noel asks Felicity not to tell Ruby about their past relationship, because he wants to tell Ruby about it himself. But boy is it awkward when Ruby comes to Felicity for birth control advice! And even more awkward when Noel says Felicity’s name while kissing Ruby…which totally disrupts the double date with Noel and Ruby, David and Felicity!
Felicity – now consumed by what she thinks is mono – crawls to David’s to try to make up in what Fish considers the most traumatizing scene of the episode. Ruby and Noel make up and officially consummate their relationship.
In other news, Maggie is running very hot – and very cold – with Ben. He’s busy trying to reassure her about the age difference, not realizing the problem is that…she’s married!

Awkwardness, muffins, and coffee. That pretty much sums up this episode!
We open on an awkward candlelit dinner between Noel and Felicity where we learn that they are both concerned about each other’s dating lives.
Noel gets a PlayStation and becomes obsessed with the game Crash – and takes Elena down with him. What pulls them out? Rock bottom. Also known as yelling at a 7 year old.
Professor Sherman awkwardly fixes up Felicity with her grad student son for a blind date. Julie and Felicity bond over muffins while talking about the awkwardness of dating.
Ben and Felicity finally have a shift together again at Dean and Deluca, and Maggie awkwardly interrupts to get a coffee and invite Ben to try her homemade muffins. She seduces Ben with muffins she doesn’t actually have.
Saboteur David and Felicity have an awkward first date at a French restaurant that goes so badly that Felicity walks out! But David comes back to apologize and ask to try again. After some groveling, gifts, and a couple conversations, he succeeds!
Ben and Maggie try again – he invites her up to the loft for coffee he doesn’t have, but at least she will get a taste of Smoothaise before they sleep together. Is this a one night stand…or more?

We open on an eye. Like another J.J. Abrams show we know.
Felicity finds out that Julie has been singing mean songs about her at Epstein Bar, and Fish waxes poetic about the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
“The Modern” (AKA The MOMA) and the subway are featured prominently in this episode, with multiple characters planning a trip to “The Modern” on this same day. Felicity gets on the subway to meet Noel and Ruby at The Modern and is surprised when Julie enters the same subway car – also on her way to same place.
Felicity confronts Julie about the song, then the subway car comes to a grinding halt for hours, allowing all the fellow riders of their subway car to become deeply invested in the debate around Felicity and Julie’s relationship.
Ruby and Noel’s relationship progresses with a day at the museum.
Smoothaise makes its first appearance, as does Maggie, who shows up in this episode as a hurried, rude caterer who is turned on when Ben pushes back on her at Dean & Deluca.
By the end of this episode, Julie and Felicity seem to be ready to move forward tentatively, slowly, and delicately to restore their friendship.

It has officially happened. Felicity’s short hair is revealed, sparking conversation both within and outside of the show.
Felicity finally has to choose art or medicine and drops pre-med so she can take art courses. The catalyst for this decision, Ruby (one of Felicity's new advisees) makes her first appearance.
Even though Noel got rejected by Bridgid the first time around, fortune has it that he will be in an art class with her soon! Except Felicity shows up in the same class and is partnered with Bridgid. Then Felicity accidentally sends Ruby to Noel for computer advice. That Felicity is everywhere!
As tensions rise with Noel and Felicity, he tries to set boundaries with her. Fish and Melissa have completely different interpretations of a powerful scene between Felicity and Noel (and we are dying to hear what YOU think about it), on the way of their journey to healing.
In other news, Julie announces she is moving out. Sean crumbles on the inside, but it is time for the new roommate interviews to begin! The ice is thawing with Julie and Ben, which is good, because Julie’s new apartment eventually falls through (we’re looking at you, Susan), and she is going to end up staying at the loft, anyway. Yay for Sean!
Noel and Ruby have their meet cute. But you know what isn’t cute? Felicity’s first critique on her art.

It all starts when advisee Gretchen, filled with angst, introduces Felicity to the teen magazine list that sets off the whole episode.
Felicity is excited about the start of her relationship with Ben. But Sean, the heavy-handed voice of reason, is telling Ben that Felicity is more serious about the relationship than he is. Ben is panicking, and Felicity tries to hold his interest by trying some of the list! Fish and Melissa cheer Felicity on as she realizes that she doesn't want to compromise herself anymore to be with Ben.
In other news, Elena becomes Noel’s wingwoman for getting back into the dating pool. Julie and Sean are getting closer, but Julie appears to be completely oblivious to Sean's crush on her.
Finally, we brace ourselves for the haircut heard 'round the world!

We’re back for season 2! And we, like the show Felicity, have a lighter, more summery aesthetic.
Meghan and Felicity are somehow roommates again as co-RAs, beginning a sequence of many convenient plot devices.
The cliffhanger is resolved. Felicity went on the road trip with Ben! Noel is seething about Felicity’s choice and never wants to see her again. But that seems unlikely since Noel and Elena are living together now.
Sally continues to leave us twisting in the wind. Dang it, Sally.
Julie refuses to room with cheerleading twins and moves in with Sean and Ben. Awkwardness and passive aggression ensues, until the group erupts in conflict at Epstein Bar.
Some good news: Elena and McGrath’s relationship ended off screen. HURRAH!
Felicity and Ben are kissing and figuring out what they are. (Three cheers from all the Benicity fans.) But Sean is having none of it. (Cue ominous music.)

Melissa and Fish shatter their previous podcast length record with a meandering examination of the season 1 finale.
The Ben and Noel cliff hanger is firmly in place! Felicity and Ben go from an almost-kiss to talking about almost kissing to actually kissing. But which version of Ben is Ben? Noel invites Felicity to join her for two weeks in Berlin instead of road tripping with Ben. It's decision time...next season!
Julie is busy this episode, awkwardly moving her stuff out of Ben’s place, overhearing Ben and Felicity conspire for a romantic road trip, and striking back in anger however she can.
Meghan reveals her prediction about Felicity from earlier in the year in a tender-for-Meghan good-bye scene.
McGrath and Elena have consummated their relationship. ICK! And he gives her a better grade as a result. ICK!
Fun game to play during the podcast: Spot how many times Fish and Melissa disagree. (We disagree on nearly everything, from Bolero to Julie.)

Did you ever laugh so hard that no sound came out, but then you remembered that you were hosting an audio-only podcast and had to make sound come out? No? Only Melissa? It happened here in episode 21 of season 1.
Fish isn't loving how the magic drives the plot in this 8-act episode, but we do like the levity of Meghan’s clumsiness and forgetfulness spells.
Nicole is back, she’s coming in hot, and Ben wants none of it.
Ben’s mom came to the rescue, and now – with the help of a job to drive a stranger’s car across the country to get home – his money troubles are over. And the couples road trip planning begins!
But then, after weeks of rough waters, Ben and Julie break up.
And - magic-induced or not? - Ben and Felicity have an almost-kiss moment while doing inventory at Dean & Deluca on a Friday night.
Noel and Guy wait in line for Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace while Guy gives Noel superlative career / relationship advice, leading to Felicity and Noel friendzoning themselves.
Meghan and Felicity bond over Meghan’s love spell. There was a lot happening in episode 21, and we are feeling ready for next week's season finale!

It’s proving time! Felicity is applying to be an assistant manager. Unfortunately, Danny, the inept employee at Dean & Deluca, rejects being fired under her charge. Fish has a hot take about Abby and Danny’s relationship.
Felicity and Noel are confused about being just friends, and Noel getting a summer internship in Berlin is about to raise the stakes. Richard is now Noel’s temporary roommate, thanks to a broken heater!
Meanwhile, Ben is hitting rock bottom with his gambling and getting the quickest beat down in the history of the world. Ben and Julie's relationship is more tenuous than ever. Ben finally asks for help...from Felicity!
We have zero tolerance for McGrath trapping Elena into this icky professor-student relationship.
And finally, we wonder: Which one of Melissa or Fish would be the better eyewitness?

It's the first documentary-style episode of Felicity, and it gave us a chance to witness all sorts of fun new character interactions we wouldn't have otherwise seen!
We see how difficult it is to get Ben to talk, but he does reveal that his parents have split up. Noel and Felicity finally start to think about the idea of exploring - just maybe - what the future of their relationship might look like. Sean and Meghan meet!
In happy news, we get to learn notable details about beloved characters like Richard, Guy, and Lynn (who stops being an enabler to Ben). Noel tries out hypnosis, yet Elena is still serving him looks.
In gross news....McGrath.
And as the Ben vs. Noel debate rages on, Melissa and Fish take their temperatures on the matter again.

Melissa and Fish are reeling over the introduction to Walter and Faye, Meggie’s parents! Melissa does her best imitation of Walter, and we revel in the comedy that comes from Meghan giving Felicity the box for safe keeping.
Fish explains the classifieds and the entire plot of Escape (The Piña Colada Song).
Felicity and Noel are starting to own their respective parts of the breakdown of their relationship as Noel plans to move. But Felicity makes a speech that gets him to stay! In other news, Carol comes back. It turns out, she is Julie’s mother – the first of many major reveals Carol makes to Julie. Bum bum BUMMMMM!

It's the aftermath of the Noel and Felicity's break-up and Felicity's night with Eli, and tensions are running high. We are asking some big questions. Should anyone get the blame for these events? Does this change how we see Noel and Felicity? What does forgiveness really entail?
We give one more ode to Eli, and we reminisce about the actual size of freshman dorm rooms. We are amused by Sean's pursuit of a librarian and Richard now going full friend-mode with Noel.
What's happening to Julie and Ben's relationship now that Ben is with his swim buddies all the time? We have thoughts.
Plus, you don't want to miss Fish sharing her real life experience with the game "assassins!"

Join us for our longest podcast yet! It's time to talk about The Fugue. Melissa and Fish try to understand the structure of this episode while ruminating on the return of Hanna.
Noel is confused. Felicity uses mirroring like a champion. But, in the end, Noel and Felicity are on the rocks, sending them into the arms of Hanna and Eli. That's right, Eli - the best guy never to be Felicity's boyfriend - is back!
Also, Ben spends more time with his new swim buddies, and Julie has her first open mic night!

This was a big themed episode, complete with Javier proposing a green card marriage to Felicity and Noels brother, Ryan, revealing that he is gay...and in a serious relationship...and planning a commitment ceremony.
This episode leaves so many characters reeling. Ben's hair net leaves us reeling.
Plus, Ben starts swimming and makes it onto the swim team all in one episode! There may have been some urgent story lines that came out of nowhere in this one, but it did gift us Lynn, Ben's new swim buddy, and we are thankful.

Poor Todd Mulcahy may be in the hospital, but he still has the power to send Felicity into a tailspin. Her existential crisis continues: Should she be an artist or a doctor?
We talk through her sabotage-to-victory story of getting into Dr. McGrath's seminar and her first time entering the dreamlike world of the art studio.
We have some words for Rebecca, Todd's fiance - and whoever wrote the episode description for TV Guide. We share our love for the original opening credits and the shenanigans of Ben and Javier. Plus, we celebrate the rise and demise of Prime Digits Hand Modeling Agency.
This wasn't an easy episode for us, but - darn it - we did it together.

Todd Mulcahy. Is he sweet or creepy? Melissa and Fish have thoughts.
This first part of our second two-parter launches Felicity into an existential crisis. Julie has her first day at the internship at her birth mom's office. Elena tells Blair what she really thinks about him cheating on her - then gives us VIBES talking about Dr. McGrath. And Ben's financial struggles lead him to a job at Dean & Deluca and the beginning of his lovable bromance with Javier.
Things we love: The face everyone makes when trying Sean's new, next generation breakfast cereal "Lactos" and the genesis of Ben's aversion to wearing a black hat at work.
All that and more!

Here we are, two friends talking about "Friends." With this episode, we waded into a conversation about the nature of Julie and Ben's relationship and how much of a protector role Ben needs to be in right now. Julie thinks she has found her biological mom and decides to go deep cover as an intern at her possible birth mom's architecture firm to get to know her.
Felicity sees Blair cheating on Elena - that scoundrel! - and it launches our own philosophical discussion about what to do when you know a secret like this. We confuse ourselves with definitions of honesty, lies, and white lies, but we right the world again talking about Noel's side quest for new vending machines for the dorm.

Felicity comes back from holiday break, and she's decided to score! Fish and Melissa unpack Felicity's 11-step process for...not having sex.
"Gimme an O!" was a sex education class in a Felicity episode, covering everything from getting tested for HIV to contraception to buying sexy underwear and how-to books. It also serves as a great backdrop to talk about feeling societal pressure to have sex and feeling you're ready vs. thinking you're ready.
We're talking about the slow burn of Julie's relationship with Ben and Elena's mysterious gift from Blair. Plus, Fish comes for the sheep that produced the wool that was used to make Felicity's hat!
One iMac was harmed in the making of this episode.

It is time for Felicity's first college finals, so of course we are covering an episode that involves as little studying as possible!
"Finally" is one of Melissa's top 2 favorite episodes of the show, so we had a blast talking about the fast-paced scenes, the many vignettes, and the absolutely epic use of all caps subtitles and Santa Swings by the Swingtips.
In "Finally," we are introduced to Richard by way of his indoor barbecue, Meghan's smart powder, and creative ways to cure hiccups. We reminisce about the chicken truck accident heard round UNY, the awkwardness of Felicity and Noel trying to define their relationship, and trying to meet up with people in the age before cell phones. This one's a fun one, folks!

It's the first Thanksgiving for Felicity and friends, and we are talking all about it!
This episode is about readjusting and that first Thanksgiving with new friends, away from home. We loved every second of detailing the awkwardness of Noel and Hannah's reunion and Noel watching Felicity and Hannah meet.
We also take some important issues head on, like whether Magic 8 Balls are an appropriate way to make life decisions, unfortunate words you can hear instead of “candles” or Immanuel “Kant," and if that steamy kiss in the men's bathroom was sexy or hungry.

Trigger Warning: Theme of Sexual Violence / Rape discussed.
We're taking on part 2 of Drawing the Line, the first two-part episode of Felicity. This was a heavy episode - and thus, a heavy podcast - dealing with the events that immediately followed the date rape from part 1.
We're talking about the reporting process, confidentiality, and what the aftermath of sexual assault may entail for survivors and those who love them. Through the characters in the show, we also have a chance to examine ways to support survivors of sexual violence.
For a little light in the darkness, we had fun talking about the visiting prospective student "Story"line in the show and how it just may have been a more interesting plot behind the scenes.
Plus, Fish enlightens us to the incredible work of slam poetry that is "Paper Dolls" from Sierra DeMulder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k4ebSEeCwI

Trigger Warning: Theme of Sexual Violence / Rape discussed.
Drawing the Line (part 1) is our first two-part episode of Felicity we are tackling, and it gave us some major topics to unpack. This episode introduces a date rape story line at the very end, showing a lead-up of complexity and gray area that so often happens in the real world. Through that backdrop, we explore what consent looked like in the 90s. We also have a lot to say about what it's really like to set boundaries in healthy relationships, toxic relationships, and everything in between.
Elena's story line highlights a class struggle as she loses a scholarship and is forced to accept help and financial aid to stay in school.
We also ponder when it is appropriate to be a buttinsky, whether the "Quarter Master" is Sean's worst invention yet, and what could possibly be in Meghan's box.
Triple bonus points for anyone who can send us a screenshot of what used to be on www.noelcrane.com!

This episode was a fun exploration of the serious and the not-so-serious. We talk about the crushing feeling of discovering your limits and the perils of cheating in an academic setting. "Cheating" also gave us the blessing of talking about Ben's slow motion eating of a marzipan boxer, how to properly tell someone that there is something in their teeth, and the realities of submitting an assignment in college in the late 90s. Couples are fighting and forming in Felicity world, but how hard should they be trying to impress each other? All that and more in our latest episode!

In this not-so-Halloweenish Halloween episode, we unpack some major topics: The meaning of being triggered, coping with trauma, and setting boundaries while coping. Fish talks about shame, guilt, and Brene Brown (see a couple of resources below!). We also have some lighthearted elements of the show that make us smile, including the introduction to Sean "Bull in a China Shop" Blumberg, Blair, and Javier.
Bonus points to anyone who writes in and guesses what Melissa thought was the absolute most disgusting thing Fish has said in any episode of the podcast thus far.

We're talking about the kiss heard 'round New York, gender roles - and dating - in the 90s, and what it meant to be a "good guy" in this decade. We reminisce about the process of becoming independent in college and drop some key laundry tips to avoid turning your clothes pink, like Zach. This episode had good behavior, bad behavior, and a whole lot of slow motion to unpack, and we are here for all of it!

In this very educational episode, Fish tells us what college parties are REALLY like and sheds light for younger listeners on the wonders of cassette tapes. We're talking about the exploration of discomfort that is Hot Objects, complete with all our many thoughts about Ben's acting class and what it reveals about his tense family life. We revel in the symbolism that buying a simple spoon can have, and we lay into ugly sweaters. And you don't want to miss this latest installment of "What Sally Said, What Sally Meant!"
