The definition of fearless is "the absence of fear" which we all know, as entrepreneurs, does not exist. But we can learn to work alongside fear and have it inspire us, not scare us. The Fearless Fempire was created to be an empowering space for creative entrepreneurial women to share their stories, feel empowered by other women's journeys, and build their own empire through heartfelt conversations about business and entrepreneurship. We cover marketing your business, brand experience, and all areas of creative entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart because it opens you up to really uncomfortable growth and with that comes plenty of opportunities for imposter syndrome to show up. Imposter syndrome has a great way of stopping you in your tracks. It tricks you into overthinking mode where you begin justifying all the reasons why you CAN’T do something or why you don’t belong. But if we shine a light on it, imposter syndrome is an indicator that you’re about to do something new, something different, something really freakin’ cool and probably challenging! So, rather than cowering to its fear, notice it, thank it for being there and remember that you’re embarking on a new YOU and pushing past your comfort zone.
In today’s episode, I speak openly and honestly with Launch to Livelihood alumni Kelle Marie and Kristin Bailey about all the times in which imposter syndrome has shown up for all of us. We each touch on how it affects each of us individually and what we’ve done to overcome it.
We touch on:
Come be vulnerable with us. We promise you’re not alone if you feel alone in the idea that you’re not good enough, don’t know enough etc. etc. It’s time to squash that self-doubt!

Let’s talk about organic traffic vs. paid traffic. You’ve built your website, your social media content is flowing, and you’ve got blog posts written and posted. In other words, your organic traffic is built, and now it’s time to dive into paid marketing. Paid traffic is an excellent way to bring more people your way. But how do you do it and what are things to consider? Listen to this episode where I coach Malina Taylor of Malina Taylor Photography on how to get started and be successful with posting Google ads.
We talk about:
If you’re ready to take your business to the next level and bring more traffic to your service or product, this episode is for you.

One of the fastest ways to build your client base is by defining a niche. Once you know your niche it’s liberating because you know who you’re working with and how to price yourself and then own that pricing. From there, you can begin telling your stories. The stories that draw your dream clients to you.
Your website is the first place where you get to begin telling your stories. It should tell viewers who you are, who you’re speaking to, and why they should be here. People want to know why they should choose YOU and your business.
So, highlight yourself on your website and your social media presence. The people who resonate with you will begin to follow you and care just as much about the service or product you’re selling as they will about who you are as a person in your day-to-day life.
And all of this will be easier for you to do once you’re operating from the playing field that is your niche.
Listen to this episode with Katie Paye of K.P. Images to hear us chat through these things in real life by going over Katie’s own business.

Your website should be working hard for you. It should be your first employee and if you’re just starting out, hopefully, it’s your only employee for a while. But in order for it to do its job well it’s important that you strategically set it up.
In this coaching call with Elizabeth DeVoe, we cover mannnny of my top tips for building your website in a way that will attract your dream clients. After all, your website is FOR them!
For example, and I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, having your prices front and center on your website is one of the best ways to build trust with your ideal clients. Not only does it reduce your workload by having to answer to everyone who inquires, but you know when someone does inquire that it’s highly likely they really want to work with you!
In addition to pricing transparency we cover connecting with your community through your about me page, marketing as storytelling, adding Q&A’s, and using your blog as another website working in your favor.

In entrepreneurship, the magic really begins to happen once we niche down. That’s when things start to grow and take off. Once we find our niche we align with our purpose, our drive, our dream clients, and the vision of how we want to be working and who we want to be showing up as.
I’m not saying it’s not valuable to practice many things and apply yourself in more ways than one. When we are just getting started that’s exactly what we want to do (unless of course, we know our niche right off the bat), that way the day you do work for whatever niche you will go into, you’ll know you’ve found it cause it will spark inspiration within you.
On this coaching call, I’m speaking with Amber Canterbury of P Lazy Y Photography about niching her photography business down. We go into the fun and irritating game of asking WHY over and over. Why that client? Why that specific work? Why you? We also cover building your website so that you speak directly to your niche of people. And as an added bonus (especially for those photographers of you out there) I help Amber with tips on how to get photos of your niche onto your website when you’re just starting off and don’t have enough to go off of.
If you’ve been wondering if it’s time to niche down, or if you’re ready for a pivot this episode is for you!

For those of us creative entrepreneurs who find a way to blend our creative passions into our work, we really have our lucky stars to thank (not to mention years of work and practice at something). I mean, how cool is it that we can earn a living doing what we love most with what inspires us. But speaking of earning a living, not everyone wants to pay us for our talents. Worse is when they tell us they can’t pay us anything but they’ll get us “exposure”. When you know, like really know, your worth and talent, exposure isn’t what you’re looking for. Holding boundaries and knowing your worth is key to finding the clients who will pay for your services.
In this episode, I’m chatting with my good friend Katy Wherry. She’s a flutist (a really excellent one) and is on a mission to celebrate the talent of others and lift them up so they can feel confident to go out in the world and not only share their talent but get properly compensated for it too!

Sam Block, a brand and mindset coach for creative entrepreneurs, brings ethical marketing to the forefront of her teachings and values as a coach. Ethical marketing is creating a culture mindset where your leads understand that they are not responsible for how you feel whether they choose to purchase from you or not. It’s being transparent with your clients from the get-go and honoring your clients for the autonomous beings that they are. After the sudden loss of a close friend, another friend of Sarah’s challenged her to a an epic sew-off as a creative outlet for the grief she was holding. Sarah’s idea was to sew a swatch onto a trucker hat. Little did she know this hat would propel her into her now extremely successful business, HEC Studio, that sells hats out of her 40 foot solar powered school bus. Sarah always knew she wanted to be her own boss and she made it happen. She knew nothing about diesel mechanics and everything about good (and sustainable) fashion style. She was confident she would figure it all out and with laser-like-vision of being a successful artist and living simply she has created her dream life. Sarah believes in the power of putting your mind to something and making it happen. She’s had people doubt her along her path and has let this fuel the fire in her to see things through.

A subtle change in your vocabulary might just lead you to a more empowering life. If you go to bed each night mulling over the ways you feel like you fell short and didn’t finish all the things you wanted to get done, it is a good idea to ask yourself how much you use the word should when stating your goals. Using the word should in our vocabulary relinquishes our power to make decisions and leads to disappointment. By removing should, you can get out of your own way, embrace empathy, and lead with grace.

The average adult makes more than 35,000 decisions per day. That’s insane… Did you know Steve Jobs wore the same three outfits for his career as the CEO of Apple solely for the purpose of eliminating the number of decisions he would have to make throughout the day? When you remove the number of decisions you must make each day, the bigger ones get easier. We share with you a few ways to become a badass decision maker and in return, simplify your life so that big decisions like, where to live, how should I raise my kids, should I start my dream business, should I leave my job, what type of exercise should I get today, how often should I post on social media etc. all become easier. These tips act as a compass when it comes time to making decisions in your life, and ultimately guide you towards more freedom and purpose in life and business.

Bullet Proof Book
The Fearless Fempire was born from the deep conversations Taylor shares with other female entrepreneurs and friends aspiring to live into their fullest potential. This platform is for creative entrepreneurial women to share their story in hopes of empowering you to build your own business and live your dream life! The road to becoming an entrepreneur is most often bumpy (like REALLY bumpy) so, today we begin with Taylor’s story. When Taylor set out to live her dream as a photographer in Colorado, a state she’d only visited once, she never imagined the hurdles she would have to overcome to make it. What some people considered stubborn, she was determined to see her vision through, and make a career for herself as a photographer. She learned invaluable lessons by facing her greatest fears of being broke, homeless, and lonely. As each fear toppled onto the next, she continued to step one foot in front of the other, adjusting and adapting, and she can look back now with gratitude. She wants you to remember that it is worth chartering into uncomfortable terrain. You might be surprised by what’s on the other side of the struggle.
