If you think that giving up is an option and you can't go any further, let me introduce you to Ms. Shontelle Dubois. Shontelle Dubois was the winner of our 5th Speaker Slam - Fitness & Motivation. This is her winning speech: 4 Year Old Little Girl She is a woman that does not allow the challenges and obstacles that life has thrown at her keep her down. Her goal oriented mindset and hardworking ethic allowed her to save up enough money to open up her own fitness studio from training in the stairwells for one year in Toronto's most troubled neighbourhoods. Shontelle is so incredibly caring that when her clients struggled cooking their meals to stay consistent with their customized meal plans, she cooked her clients meals for them which received raving reviews and the great taste started capturing the interests of non clients. Quickly, cooking meal preps turned into a business all on its own and she opened Dubois' Kitchen. Shontelle is the embodiment of determination and pure will power coupled with a beautiful caring nature thus spawning her slogan "..because I care". She has received the civilian humanitarian award from the mayors office in 2014, she received the Role model award from these of Commons 2016, and two consecutive New Business Awards from the Peabo Awards 2016/2016.

Breeda's world changed when her mother was diagnosed with dementia. She was her caregiver and she shares the challenges she faced. Growing up Chris Power had inverted feet, which led to quite a bit of shame and bullying. So how did he end up climbing Mount Everest and joining the military? For 30 years, Glenn built a successful career while balancing the demands of being a pro AFL footballer. In 2012 he took a well-deserved vacation and his life changed. After experiencing rape in 2016, Marlee went on to fight for a justice outcome rooted in forgiveness. Here is her story of how and why she advocated for her assailant to go to therapy, not prison. As well, as how meeting in a circle allowed her to understand what true healing really is. Marlee is a sensual reclamation coach, author and restorative justice advocate. She is also a queer, sparkle-loving feminist and trailblazer. She made history in the justice system when her sexual assault case became the 1st in North America to conclude with restorative justice through the courts. Since then, she has coached hundreds of women internationally in reclaiming sensuality and embodied leadership.

While taking a shower, Parul ran her hand through her scalp and a clump of hair pulled out. Within weeks she lost 50% of her hair. She was diagnosed with Alopecia and had to wear a wig.

Parul works in spaces where innovation of financial models enables humans to access basic human needs such as housing.

When presenting these novel solutions to the lay person, prospective clients, there are communication challenges since these approaches stray from the norm of our archaic systems. Parul uses storytelling and experience design to translate complex systems and solutions into engaging content.

Using an art-journalism approach she collects qualitative data, which allows a greater context to go alongside quantitative data sets.

Tracy Schmitt is a Canadian athlete and motivational speaker. As a quadruple amputee, she won a bronze medal in alpine downhill para-skiing at the Ontario Parasport Games and was inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame.
