Friends,
For your listening enjoyment, we cover several subjects on this podcast: Governor Newsom’s proposed redo of San Quentin; Qatar, and its influence peddling in our universities; the DEI’s “greeters” at IU Health (an eyewitness account!); the decline of Broadway shows; culminating in Eli Steele’s wise words concerning “…the Claudine Gays of the world.”
It’s a lively show you won’t want to miss.
Enjoy this beautiful winter season,* even if you live in comfy, albeit chilly, California.

Friends,
We trust you had a Merry Christmas and, along with us, are anticipating a productive 2024!
Today’s podcast focuses in on the antisemitic rhetoric reflected by so many of America’s younger generation, with one recent poll showing 51% of Americans, age 18-24, believe that Israelis should do away with their homeland and turn territorial rights over to Hamas. Hard to believe, isn’t it?
We draw on an essay in Tabletmag.com, “The Global Empire of Palestine,” written by the brilliant Lee Smith, December 19, 2023: historically, it’s spot-on in tracing the causes for young people’s indoctrinatory and contemptible support of Hamas. It’s more than worth a read.
We send you into the new year with bravos to the Most Rev. Bishop Kevin Carl Rhoades and the faithful women alumni of St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, who helped reverse the previous decision by its president and board of directors to accept applications from those “whose sex is female or who consistently live and identify as women.”
Pushing back works, dear friends, which is why we “keep at it” here on Entering Stage Right.
Thanks for Joining Us! Thanks for sharing the podcast!
Happy New Year!

Friends,
Gremlins continue to intervene frequently throughout our podcast today (long pauses, overlapping, etc.), but, hang in there, and you should still be able to follow it easily, albeit, not necessarily gracefully. With some help from a friend (thanks Amanuel!) and our platform advisors, we will figure out these glitches moving forward. Our upfront thanks for your patience.
Except for those glitches, our podcast clips along briskly as we talk about plagiarist Claudine Gay of Harvard, congenital liar Gavin Newsom of CA, and seasoned prevaricator, Hunter Biden, as he defends his “art,” and bails on his congressional subpoena.
As the lights of Hanukkah fade, words of wisdom from Niall Ferguson and a prophetic voice from the past, Joseph Sobran, send us thoughtfully on our way into this blessed Christmas season.
With Thanks for You!

Dear Friends,
As our title indicates, this week focuses in on the inexcusable testimony delivered by three, university presidents responding to questions brought by the House Committee on Education & the Workforce.
Speaking of the “workforce,” two of these presidents, the waffling Ms. Liz Magill of the University of Pennsylvania and Claudine Gay of Harvard, may be looking for new employment soon, as “heavy” money donors are withdrawing millions in support, vigorously responding to Magill’s and Gay’s inability to unequivocally condemn the call for Israel’s genocide on their campuses.
Join us for this impassioned conversation, and feel free to leave a comment.
A blessed Hanukkah to all of our Jewish friends this week, and to the nation of Israel, in particular. May you be safe. Am Yisrael chai.

Dear Friends,
After a day delay due to a technical glitch, we’re back up running and continuing our focus on Israel, surrounded by an array of subjects:
Oakland’s overreaching city council; Governor Newsom’s “understudy” performance in the debate with Ron DeSantis; the ultimate welfare state—Gaza; Saint Mary’s College (for women) at Notre Dame goes trans; the George Floyd verdict in retrospect; followed by the good folks at canarymission.org., who expose the radical leftists in academia.
It's an informative and lively show. As always…

“All good things come to those who wait,” and such is our delayed podcast by virtue of an important interview with Clarice Feldman.
A brilliant thinker and prolific writer for the “American Thinker,” Ms. Feldman’s observations on Hamas's war against Israel are enlightening. Our conversation centers around her latest article (Sunday, Nov. 26), “Manipulating with Lies and Manufactured Sob Stories,” followed by some enticing sidebars along the way, including this one:

Friends,
The masks of reason and civility are being discarded as the radical Left spouts its virulent, antisemitic cliches on college campuses and public squares across the country, defended, in large part, by university presidents who are more interested in bottom-line revenues than doing what is right.
We will continue to highlight those “knuckleheads & eggheads” who are defending Hamas and its minions (wittingly or not), whether it be the duplicitous Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D. MI.), or the “student wellbeing” President of MIT, Dr. Sally Kornbluth.
Some real heroes—former British Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, Brandeis University, and the 300,000 people who gathered peacefully in Washington D.C.—send us on our way with a note of optimism for the coming days.

Dear Friends,
We continue our conversation on the barbaric, “October 7” invasion of Israel by Hamas, and how disdain for Israel, led by the vile rhetoric of student demonstrations, is spreading across the country.
Ibram X. Kendi has joined the fray, proving that his brand of antiracism is antisemitic at heart. The good news? A brave university president and a determined Benjamin Netanyahu encourage us along the way as we enter month two of this battle for civilization versus barbarism.

Dear Listeners,
Our good friend, Allen Barton, Owner & CEO of the Beverly Hills Playhouse, joins us again for a discussion of his new play, “Outrage,” which opens next Friday, Oct. 20, 8 p.m. curtain.
OUTRAGE “…takes on the topics of conformity and cancellation in 2020s Los Angeles.” It’s a very witty, provocative, and moving play, revealing to all of us the fragility of our most meaningful relationships.
We also discuss the senseless tragedy of this past week, focusing on the horrific attack by Hamas on Israel. Allen, Harvard alumnus, has a few things to say about that.
As always, good friends, we’re here because of you. Thanks for joining us. Spread the word.

Dear Friends,
It was startling to wake up this morning and hear Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declare, “We are at war,” the first such declaration since the Yom Kippur War of 1973.
Much of the press, of course, with its allies in academia and the Church, are already siding with terrorist Hamas against the “oppressive” and “apartheid State of Israel.” All this while thousands of rockets are launched from Hamas bases in Gaza (funded by Iran) against the U.S.’s only democratic ally in the region—Israel.
While Israel is under attack, our own home-grown, embittered “attack dog,” Hillary Clinton, has come out in a CNN interview against those “…MAGA extremists (who) take their marching orders from Donald Trump,” by declaring “…there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the Cult Members. Something needs to happen!”
Freedom and security, here and abroad, are under attack. Stand with us for a free and secure Israel, and for free and secure Americans who can speak their minds and vote for whomever they please without reprisal!

Our glorious right as Americans to free speech is being undermined by the intentional censorship of the Left throughout academia, the judiciary, the arts, and within our bureaucracies. Even the Church is not immune to this insidious threat to one of our greatest liberties.
That’s the focus of our show this week, as we highlight an article in city-journal.org, by Joanna Williams, “The Censorship Bureaucracy,” September 17, 2023. If you’ve time, read her entire article—she’s spot on!
We finish our podcast with the story of courageous family in Morristown, TN., who would like to stay in America after leaving Germany fifteen years ago, along with some very encouraging news coming out of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Friends,
Join us as we jump right in on the lunacy of Senator Robert Menendez’s blatant malfeasance, followed by the Superior Court of Los Angeles County’s new “bail schedules,” slated to take effect October 1, 2023. For the seasoned criminal in LA County, or even the neophyte, it must be reassuring to know that if you steal a car, get caught (we would hope so), be B&R (Booked and Released) expeditiously, you can be out the same day to steal again—if not something worse. Cool!
We move quickly from such lunacy to lawlessness (it’s all related), as we visit our southern border and the social chaos infecting the entire country, with even Democratic NY Governor, Kathy Hochul, saying, “If you’re going to leave your country, go somewhere else.” Wow! If she were a Republican, that would merit a “racist/white supremacist” banner headline!
Some very smart words by Andrew Sullivan on Ibram X. Kendi (“The Kendi Scam, Unraveled,” 9/22, @ andrewsullivan.substack.com), and a rescued monarch butterfly send us happily on our way into the beauty of Fall. Enjoy!

Dear Friends,
California takes center stage this podcast with a series of bills waiting for Governor Newsom’s anticipated signature by October 14, bills which will essentially take away the most basic, parenting rights from millions of mothers and fathers of the “tarnished” Golden State.
We follow that with Governor Michelle Grisham’s “public health order” that temporarily bans firearms in certain New Mexico counties, while pausing to salute a half-dozen Republican senators (all members of the Senate Judiciary Committee) who called on Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice “to enforce the Constitution and intervene on behalf of the constitutional rights of New Mexicans to stop this unconstitutional act from standing.”
Courageous Governor Glenn Youngkin and clinical psychologist Jordan Petersen send us hopefully on our way by defending our families and our sanity against the Left’s banalities, as expressed by former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich.
Hard to believe, but our next podcast, Saturday, September 23, will be the first day of autumn, so get out those cardigans. And here’s wishing so many of our listeners a meaningful and joyful Rosh Hashanah!

Friends,
From the United Nations to the California State Legislature, gender madness continues to confuse our children and threaten parental rights around the world. Perversity of thought and action is emanating from influential centers of power, and we take a close look at who is doing what to whom.
Passionately (coming from your two thespian podcasters), the sad state of the American theatre is discussed, along with some Highland Park IL high rollers who want to “play at being poor” and virtue-signal their empathy for those less fortunate among us. It does not end well.

Today, it seems everywhere we look, we find leftist legislatures, an activist judiciary, a compliant media, and radicalized cultural organizations asserting their partisan priorities over the common good.

Our podcast today draws extensively from an article by Michael Lind found in tabletmag.com (July 31, 2023), entitled, “The Culture of Transgression,” which points out that “the act of transgression itself” has become “virtuous.”
Along the way, we comment on Gavin Newsom’s attack on California parents, “flash mobs” in Glendale, the suicide of a brave educator in Canada who challenges a DEI facilitator, and a gutsy, Russian soprano who won’t be cancelled by the Metropolitan Opera without pushing back.

Dear Friends,
Today’s podcast focuses in on the increasing scope of the Biden scandal, with both Joe and Hunter Biden front and center.
Special attention is given to the “sweetheart deal” between Hunter and the DOJ blowing up, and the media’s flagrant denials of President Biden’s involvement in his son’s business dealings.
Speaking of denials, President Biden’s “I know nothing” defense is starting to crumble, and Devon Archer’s closed-door testimony to the House Oversight Committee may bring all the denials and lies tumbling down. When it becomes apparent that “the Emperor has no clothes, what will the media say then?
We give a special shoutout to Judge Maryellen Noreika for smelling “a rat” in her Delaware courtroom and asking the right questions, exposing a disgraceful plea-agreement.

On a saner note, we highlight the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), which recently announced it would bar transgender athletes from all international women’s competitions. Bravo! Go female cyclists!

Today’s podcast digs a little deeper into the Supreme Court’s landmark decision (Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College), in which the court held that race-based, affirmative action programs in college admissions violate Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment—ergo, they are unconstitutional.
Bravo to the Supreme Court, thousands of students, and to legal strategist Edward J. Blum (criticized as nothing but a “rich, white guy”), founder of the Students for Fair Admissions, who worked tirelessly for years to bring this case to a successful, “affirmative” conclusion. Dear Listeners,
Today’s podcast focuses in on several recent Supreme Court decisions upholding the rights and liberties of Americans everywhere. Bravo to the Court!
A courageous whistleblower from the IRS steps forward and posits that the Hunter Biden investigation was hindered by the Department of Justice. Attorney General Merrick Garland, who heads the DOJ, continues to deny and divert, putting Delaware U.S. Attorney, David Weiss, smack in the proverbial middle. Someone, somewhere, it would appear, is lying. As facts come out, might Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, initiate impeachment proceedings against the embattled, AG Garland?
We look at the parable of the Prodigal Son in light of the enabling relationship between Joe and Hunter Biden, and close the show honoring a heroic Congresswoman, Anna Paulina, who made sure that Congressman Adam Schiff received his comeuppance for lying to the American people.
It's a fun, fast-moving, and informative show! As always…

They got their man at last!
Also, we look at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Board of Governors that approved landmark changes in the eligibility rules for Best Picture, making their push for “equity” oppressively onerous on the freedom and integrity of screenwriters and producers everywhere.
We expose the San Francisco United School District’s insane definition of “Assigned Sex at Birth,” and salute our Muslim friends in Hamtramck, Michigan, who will not allow “…religious, ethnic, racial, political, or sexual orientation group flags to be flown on the City’s public properties.” Heresy!

Today’s podcast focuses in on the two-tiered system of justice that led to the arraignment of former President Donald J. Trump. It’s a free-wheeling conversation that covers the indictment and the unprecedented use of prosecutorial power by the Department of Justice.

Dear Listeners,
With the DOJ’s indictment of former President Donald Trump, we’ve entered dangerous political landscape. As Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) succinctly put it: “If the people in power can jail their political opponents at will, we don’t have a republic.”
Concurrent with the DOJ’s indictment (what convenient timing!), the FBI has finally handed over the buried FD-1023 form to the House Oversight Committee, indicating (from a trusted FBI informant) that Joe Biden and the Biden cadre were paid a minimum of $5 million by a Ukrainian business executive in return for Vice President Biden’s favorable adjustments to U.S. foreign policy. How do you say quid pro quo.

Excuse the technical glitch at the top of the show, but our podcast begins with an intrusive cough by one of your hosts, which we couldn’t delete. We’ve been assured that the cold is not contagious over the Substack airwaves!
Moving forward, this spirited episode covers: President Biden’s insistence that “white supremacy” is the greatest terrorist threat to America; California’s schools leading the nation in illiteracy (why not elect its governor as president?); the DHS profiling of everyday, solid Americans; Target’s displaying gender-bending attire and wondering why the backlash; and closing with a sweet, personal remembrance of one of America’s great musical icons—Tina Turner.

Dear Friends,
We’re extending our hiatus for another week and offering you one of our earliest podcasts, “The State Wants Your Child,” a lively exchange never before published on Entering Stage Right.
Since this podcast aired nearly two years ago, both Washington and California are finalizing bills that would allow their states (rather than parents) to provide abortions and gender affirming care to “qualified” adolescents.
Parents across the nation, irrespective of political affiliation, disapprove of such perversity being codified by progressive state legislatures and leftist governors, and we’re committed, with your help, to push back against this insidious, left-coast trend.
Take a moment, if you will, to share this timely podcast with a friend, and, until next week, here’s wishing you and yours a joyful mid-May!

Today’s podcast is an assorted menu, the main entrée being Tucker Carlson’s abrupt departure from Fox News.
We season the entrée with several side dishes, including news of a democrat supervisor in San Francisco who wants more police in his Tenderloin District (what a concept!), the NIH’s radical experimentation on gender dysphoria (a rather pungent side dish), and a courageous “Kigali Statement” by African Anglicans who reject the Church of England’s blessing of same-sex unions (a “delicious” side dish, in its irony).

Dear Listeners,
In a quick-paced podcast, we explore the people and elements that constitute the “soul of the nation,” a frequent trope employed by President Joe Biden.
In way of a heads-up: the soul of America is not an enforced utility bill based on one’s income; the soul of America is not the “international human rights” directives coming out of the United Nations; the soul of America is not Bud Light’s “inclusive, promotional campaign; indeed, the soul of America is not the modern-day minstrel, Dylan Mulvaney.
It's a lively, passionate show you won’t want to miss.
With Thanks for YOU!

Dear Friends,
NEWS FLASH: John Q. Public is not to be trusted with what he sees, hears, or reads. Only the ruling-party elites can save him from the “existential threat” of disinformation that is destroying our democracy.
Drawing “liberally” from an insightful article by Jacob Seigel, some “experts” maintain, “America must become less free and less democratic.” Neither Mr. Seigel nor we at Entering Stage Right are buying it.
A humorous note on “denial” and a positive vote by the Indiana General Assembly send us encouragingly on our way. Have a great week, and…

Friends,
Not unlike an Easter spread, today’s podcast is a buffet of subjects, ranging from “tweets” (the animal kind) to Donald J. Trump to the tragedy in Nashville to the “trials and tribulations” of the Church.
Heroic people along the way keep us encouraged and focused on the “pushback” role we can all play. In the interim…
A blessed Easter Sunday to our Christian brothers and sisters around the world, and a blessed Shvi'i shel Pesach (seventh day of Passover) this coming week to our Jewish friends everywhere.

Dear Friends,
Today’s main topic focuses in on the tragic slaughter of six innocents at the private Covenant School in Nashville, TN. It’s a difficult but necessary subject to talk about, as a shroud of secrecy, led by trans ideologues and a complicit media, would shut down open discussion.
Of course, if “stricter gun control” is not your axiomatic response to these senseless murders, then “thoughts and prayers” are dismissed as meaningless rubbish by the woke language police. Unapologetically, here at Entering Stage Right, our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to all those suffering from this horrific act of hatred, including the Rev. Chad Scruggs (Pastor of the Covenant Presbyterian Church) and his wife, who lost their precious nine-year-old daughter, Hallie, in the attack.
To our varied listeners, may you have a blessed Palm Sunday, Passover, and meaningful Holy Week.
Wishing you all on the journey…
Peace,

Dear Listeners,
Today’s main topic focuses in on the Biden family and their influence peddling.
Led by Congressman James Comer (R., KY) and the House Oversight Committee, the truth is slowly coming out, confirmed by indisputable bank records, which “the big guy” responds to as “not true.” Stay tuned, Mr. President—there’s more to come!
We follow up on the shameful, Stanford Law School debacle, then focus in on a courageous hero (actor and author, Kirk Cameron), who stands up against the “drag queen story hours” with his own “Brave Story Hour.”

Today’s main topic, The Disappearing Jew, focuses in on an article written by Jacob Savage, “The Vanishing—The erasure of Jews from American life,” tabletmag.com, February 28, 2023.
From Harvard to Hollywood, Savage maintains that “Suddenly, everywhere you look, the Jews are disappearing.” Mr. Savage is spot-on when he writes, “Twenty years ago, if Pat Robertson spoke along these lines—making the same complaints about the same people and industries and institutions—there would have been a rush to condemn it as antisemitic. Today it passes for social justice.”
From there, we discuss the shut-down-free-speech coterie who ambushed Fifth Circuit judge, Stuart Kyle Duncan, encouraged by Stanford’s associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Ms. Tirien Steinbach.

Dear Listeners,
Today’s podcast draws heavily from an article written by the provocative writer and brilliant historian, Heather MacDonald (In Loco Masculi—The feminization of the American university is all but complete. Heather MacDonald, city.journal.org, March 5, 2023).
In examining the “feminization” of our universities, Ms. MacDonald maintains that “Female students and administrators often exist in a co-dependent relationship, united by the concepts of victim identity and of trauma.” Building on that, we compare the feminization of academia to the feminization and sexualization of our progressive churches.
A familiar “villain” and a wise “hero” send us merrily on our way as the clock “springs forward” tomorrow. Enjoy the additional daylight and…

A recent Executive Order by President Joe Biden has put every governmental agency under the scrutiny of an Agency Equity Team, who will monitor the various agencies and submit their findings (through Equity Action Plans) back to the new “White House Steering Committee on Equity” via the Office of Management and Budget and other critical “Offices.”
With the goal of “embedding equity into government-wide processes,” this is nothing more than a power grab by the White House to propagate the racial and gender orthodoxy of the Left, with no accountability to Congress or the American public. The result, as rightly described by the ever-observant Christopher Ruffo, is “Dismantling the principles of liberty and equality, demolishing the foundation and moral and philosophical underpinning of our Constitution…. *

In this special episode, we share a little of our personal narratives, talk about the beginnings of Entering Stage Right, and discuss the art and journey of acting.
In our CA section, we highlight the Black doctor, Marilyn Singleton, who writes: “The malignant false assumption that Black people are inherently inferior intellectually has been traded in for the malignant false assumption that White people are inherently racist.” Ms. Singleton is a powerful voice exposing the falsities of “implicit bias training.”
Looking back, we weren’t sure where podcast #1 would lead us, but we’re grateful to be here at #100, and we’re grateful to every one of you—our faithful listeners. You’re the reason we’re here, and the best is yet to come.

If you haven’t seen it, You People is the new, hit movie on Netflix.
With a solid cast of Jonah Hill, Lauren London, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Eddie Murphy, Nia Long, and David Duchovny, one would hope this “rom-com” to be something … well … special. Au contraire, it’s essentially, to quote reviewer John Nolte, “…a dumb movie written by sheltered, spoiled, ignorant elitists creating ‘art’ only to please their cult.” And a woke cult, it is.
Adding our voices to the diverse commentaries, we critique the movie and draw upon the reviews of John Nolte and the ever-thoughtful Liel Leibovitz. *

Like most of us, you may not be familiar with the teachings of Judith Butler. Fortunately, Dr. Corinne Blackmer, director of Judaic Studies at Southern Connecticut State University and the target of antisemitic hate crimes, steps us through Dr. Butler’s phantasmic worldview.
While we do not address the non-binary Judith Butler in her (their) preferred pronouns of they/them, we explore some of her philosophical underpinnings, which seem to prefer performative art (performativity) to reality. Gender is viewed as something that one “does,” rather than something one “is.” Welcome to the madness, and welcome to the strange intersectionality of queerness and antisemitism. *

This week, we take a close look at Senator Scott Wiener, (D-San Francisco, Senate District 11), whose “progressive” bills are making the Golden State a “sex-trafficking paradise.” We also highlight an article from the American Journal of Medicine, suggesting that “freedom” might be hazardous to your health, turning you into a reckless driver!

Dear Listeners,
Our special guest this week is Allen Barton, Owner/CEO of the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
Allen is a nationally known acting teacher, a Steinway Artist (concert pianist), and an accomplished playwright. We won’t hold his Harvard pedigree against him, for Allen is “fighting the good fight” for freedom of artistic expression in the theatre and broader Hollywood community.
Courageously, after Covid shutdowns and being cancelled by many, Allen has kept the esteemed doors of the Beverly Hill Playhouse open, writing on his website (bhplayhouse.com): “At this stage (the physical stage at the BHP), anything goes. Any writer goes. Anything any writer wants to say — they get to say it, the actors get to act it.” The result: The Beverly Hills Playhouse is flourishing.
Simply put: Allen is a great advocate for freedom. Thanks for joining us, Allen, on this, your third podcast. And thank you, friends, for joining us in this lively conversation.

Friends,
From Barbados to San Francisco, the demand for reparations is reaching a crescendo, intensified by the writings of Ibram X. Kendi, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and Nikole Hannah-Jones.
H.R. 40 (first proposed in 1989 by democratic congressman, John Conyers, MI), has gained traction and is being endorsed by over 200 democrats in the House, the current charge being led by democratic congresswoman, Shelia Jackson Lee (TX).
Most Americans think reparations are a bad idea, but it wouldn’t be the first bad idea that worked its way through the halls of Congress and was signed into law. Black Lives Matter has made reparations pivotal to its equity agenda, and, like the “Summer of Love” in 2020, America could again be held hostage until the “ransom of reparations” is paid in full.
Join us for this spirited conversation on the “madness of reparations.”

Friends,
Thanks for joining us in listening to Part 2 of our podcast from last week, Ibram X. Kendi—Exposed! Our summation may be all you ever need to know about Mr. Kendi’s utopian vision.
In his book, “How To Be An Antiracist,” the former Henry Rogers spells out his endgame, hoping “…that one day the flag of antiracism will fly over a world of equity.” Of course, the means to Kendi’s “world of equity” (where we will all live in “communion”), are highly questionable.
We take exception to Mr. Kendi’s dictates by responding to his own words: “In order to truly be antiracist, you also have to truly be anti-capitalist.” And the list of clichéd mandates go on and on.
Join us for this revealing conversation on the much lauded “false prophet” of our times.

Dear Listeners,
Today’s podcast has been a long time coming. Reading through Ibram X. Kendi’s best-selling book, How to Be an Antiracist, is a challenging assignment. We’ve tried to do the hard work for you.
We look at several definitions, mandates, and judgements that Mr. Kendi proposes and find them lacking at best. At worst, his conclusions are false, dangerous, and lack that touch of mercy all of humanity needs.
This is a two-parter, so listening this week will set the stage for what the new messiah of antiracism is really espousing—an endgame “requiring radical reorientation of our consciousness”—and “where the flag of antiracism will fly over a world of equity.”
Thanks for joining us, and a final New Year’s wish to our old and new friends of Entering Stage Right—

Seems like many on the Left are “in a twitter’ over the recently released “twitter files” by Elon Musk. At the directive of Twitter’s new CEO, it’s encouraging to see the tweets trickle out with the help of journalists Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss.
May transparency and full disclosure be their guideposts as the process continues, informing Americans of the collusion between government and media in suppressing free speech to control the political narrative, including the outcome of our elections.
Some may be unaware of this extreme CENSORSHIP going on within our media platforms, as it is masked as “shadow banning,” “visibility filtering,” “content moderation,” etc. This is a good podcast to pass along to them.

Dear Listeners,
While the “culture of death” is evident all around us, surrogate bureaucracies frequently carry out the Left’s agenda, allowing a “soft totalitarianism” to creep into the mainstream of our everyday lives.
From child abuse operating under the euphemism of gender affirming care, to the perversity of pedophiles let loose on the streets of San Francisco, to Down’s children in the UK being disposed of up to the moment of birth, to assisted suicide being celebrated on Canadian commercials, this impassioned podcast takes a close look at “progressive” policies that result in destruction and death.
We close with an important legal victory, along with two outstanding heroines who give us reason to hope that a “culture of life” will ultimately prevail.

Friends,
With last week’s unsettling, midterm election results, we find ourselves asking that penultimate question, “Where do we go from here?”
On the one hand, we’ve Nancy Pelosi stepping down from House leadership, only to have a more “progressive” Hakeem Jeffries waiting in the wings. To add to the drama, former president Donald Trump, “leader of the pack,” preemptively throws his hat into the Republican ring for 2024.
Add to that a determined Keri Lake challenging the gubernatorial vote in Arizona and a nail-biting runoff in Georgia between Rafael Warnock and Herschel Walker, and you have a lively and informative conversation between your two, faithful observers of the national scene, podcasting from Hollywood and the Heartland.
We end up with a personal tribute to our men and women of the military, past and present, who have courageously served our country.

Friends,
Last week’s written post, which accompanied our podcast, said, “Working together, a political sea change is about to occur.” Doubtless, that was a bit optimistic. But, not surprisingly, the final votes are still coming in.
While the House looks promising, the Senate is up for grabs. We discuss the reasons for these results, and several “bright stars” on the political horizon who will serve us well as we move toward the 2024 election.
Presently, Ron DeSantis seems to be the brightest star on the that horizon, but there are a host of others worthy of our consideration. Not a “compromised” John Fetterman or Joe Biden in the bunch.
“They also serve who only stand and wait,” as John Milton reminds us, so be of good cheer until we know more next week on Entering Stage Right.

Dear Listeners,
Sensing imminent defeat, the Democratic party is folding its “big tent” flaps, hunkering down, and resorting to hyperbolic, if not hysterical rhetoric.
Take your pick, for this is your “one final warning:” “Democracy is on the ballot.” “Democracy is under threat.” “Democracy, as we know it, it’s over.” Or, better yet, “Democracyis over.” Forget the real issues—inflation, crime, the border, a proxy war, education, free speech—no, if the Republicans take the House and Senate, we are “…on track to repeat what happened in Germany,” according to Nazi-card-playing Senator James Clyburn (D-SC). So much for “lowering the temperature,” Senator.
Friends, fret not: democracy will survive this election. It may even flourish. If you’ve not done so already, make sure to get out and vote. Working together, a political sea change is about to occur, sending dozens of Democrats in the House and Senate packing, and removing Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer from their leadership roles. It will be a breath of fresh air after two years of one-party rule.
And thanks for sharing this positive podcast with someone you know who may remain among the “undecided.” Your encouraging word could make the difference.
Happy Voting!

Friends,
Actor, Martin Sheen, just sent out a fanciful, fundraising email for the Democrats, saying he is “…truly disgusted. Disgusted by Donald Trump and his Republicans…disgusted by their support of insurrectionists…blocking reproductive rights, restricting access to the ballot, and attacking our democracy.” Who’s kidding whom?
With the economy tanking, a proxy war in Europe growing precarious, and an increasingly confused President calling the new Prime Minister of the UK by the wrong name, the Dems have no choice but to bring out the old war horses of abortion, voter suppression, gender equity, and race to rally their radical base.
From brave Latino women running as Republicans for Congress to concerned parents running for school boards across the country, people are stepping forward, “disgusted” at the price of food, disgusted at the price at the pump, disgusted at the new racism masquerading as antiracism, and disgusted at their children being indoctrinated and not educated!

The Left seems to have a genius, albeit a twisted one, for making up words and phrases as they go along.
With their weaponization of language in hand, the Left has weaponized our trusted institutions—the DOJ and the FBI. In so doing, they’ve cast an ever-widening net, hoping to catch those on the Right whom they purport to pose a “threat to democracy,” from concerned parents (aka domestic terrorists) to Christians who happen to love the good ol’ USA (aka “Christian Nationalists”).

Coming to you soon may be the “Woke Oath,” a cultish, political pledge imposed upon the incoming students at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
From academia to the judiciary to the media, freedom loving people are being asked to sign and speak oaths and pledges that go against their core principals and religious convictions. It’s dangerous territory.
We explore all of this on our lively podcast and highlight some heroes along the way—our Muslim friends in Dearborn, MI., who are opposed to gender ideology being taught to their young children in public schools, and the reflective Tulsi Gabbard, who announced this week, “I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.” Welcome to the bright side, Tulsi!

In this week’s podcast, we focus in on the ban from leftist groups at the University of California, Berkeley, who are targeting pro-Israel speakers. Ironically, the home of “free speech” now supports those campus organizations who want to cancel the voices with whom they disagree.
From Berkely to Vanderbilt Divinity School to New York University to the DOJ, the hunt is on to “investigate and prosecute all organizations, individuals, and entities” that share information deemed to be false. The question remains: Who is determining what is false or true?
We highlight some heroic people along the way who will not acquiesce to the prevailing cultural orthodoxy.

Highlighting our podcast this week is the election of Italy’s first woman Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, already the recipient of “the slings and arrows” coming out of the White House and mainstream media.
“Fascist,” or some variant thereof, seems to be the Left’s new buzzword. With nothing of real accomplishment to run on in the November elections, slurs and slanders have become their default platform. Take your pick: Are you a far-right domestic terrorist, a Jan. 6 insurrectionist, a semi-fascist, or just your ordinary, garden-variety Maga Republican? Like multiple gender pronouns, it’s hard to keep up.
We wrap up the show with some encouraging heroes, including Judge Richard Young, who made the right decision for religious freedom in adjudicating the Fitzgerald v. Roncalli High School and Archdiocese of Indianapolis case.

Along the way, San Francisco citizens decry their lack of safety, fearful that their city’s “glory,” like Rome’s, “is of another day.” We continue to comment on the liberal, progressive church’s commitment to “dismantle” the vestiges of colonialism, and the incursion of the state into the religious liberties of our private institutions.
We finish with a recap of the travail imposed upon the liberals of Martha’s Vineyard, who were unceremoniously burdened with fifty immigrants, compliments of Governor Ron DeSantis.

As promised, here is a repeat of one of our earliest podcasts, Paul Rossi’s Letter, never before posted on Substack
The show centers around the courageous Paul Rossi, a math teacher who had the temerity to challenge the teaching of Critical Race Theory at the Grace Church School in Manhattan, an elite Episcopal school, with a Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade program.
In a conversation with Mr. Rossi, the Headmaster of Grace School privately admitted that such teaching demonized white students. Nonetheless, Mr. Rossi was subsequently “relieved” of his duties and is now a voice of reason encouraging countless teachers across the nation to stand up for their convictions

We look forward to your joining us as we put the breaks on this runaway trans train that masquerades under the benign guise of “gender affirming care.”
It’s time to blow the whistle on this choo-choo train!

Dear Friends,
We’re pivoting this week and saving Stopping the Runaway Trans Train—Part Two, until next week. This week’s RAID on former President Donald J. Trump’s compound, Mar-a-Lago, occupies the heart of our podcast.
While there is still much to be known, we know enough to address the dangerous precedent set in motion by the DOJ’s action. Can you imagine the blowback if President Trump had ordered a raid upon Hillary Clinton’s domicile in Chappaqua? Can’t you hear Senator Schumer and the squad now screaming at the top of their lungs in front of the White House, “You’re going to reap a whirlwind!”
Is U.S. Attorney General, Merrick Garland, so tone-deaf that he was oblivious to the political firestorm that such a flagrant attack upon the former president would ignite within the body politic?
The public deserves answers. Thus far, Garland’s platitudinous, defensive response will not suffice. Let’s see the affidavit for starters.
We look forward to your comments. And, as always…

Friends,
This week’s podcast focuses in depth on the trans madness that has swept through our nation in recent years.
Drawing upon a diverse group of thinkers and authors (Christopher F. Ruffo, Lisa Selin Davis, Andrew Sullivan, etc.), it is apparent that a comprehensive discussion on the care of transgender persons has been hijacked by political activists with an overriding, personal agenda.
While much of Western society has pulled back from this politicization and are accessing the latest data and its consequences with caution and compassion, our nation is immersed in faulty science and reckless procedures, doing irreparable damage to our children.
Join us in the first of a two-part series—Stopping the Runaway Trans Train.

Friends,
This week we highlight several leftists who disagree with the extreme agendas being pushed by their over-the-top, radical colleagues. In the process, we focus in on Romano Bessinger, who was reinstated after blowing the whistle on the “new,” CRT curricula being taught at the school where she teaches in Providence, Rhode Island.
Along the way, we look at “gays against groomers” (bravo!), and at a Middle School where boys can wear dresses to school during Gay Pride Month but are disciplined for wearing Uggs and discouraged from wearing “Old Glory” attire. Meanwhile, the dress code allows male teachers to wear stilettoes: “…if the teacher is comfortable wearing them, then the school supports him." How chic!
While the woke are being awakened, a Canadian hero and some good African bishops end our podcast on a most encouraging note!
As always…

Friends,
Thanks for joining us as we put a spotlight on Good Samaritan, Elisjsha Dicken (aka Eli), who courageously took out a crazed shooter who was killing innocent people shopping at the Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana. In the process, we examine Hollywood’s culpability for gun violence by their mindless (but calculating) use of pulp massacres in some of their biggest hits.
Along the way, we look at the contrasting gun laws between California and Indiana, then address our concerns about MAiD, the Canadian “Medical Assistance in Dying” law that is expanding its power by including people diagnosed with “mental illness.” Might many among us qualify?
New mask mandates in CA are front and center also, highlighted by some “conflicts of interest” between LA County’s Public Health Director and her daughter working in the CA health sector as well.
We return to our hero, Eli Dicken, and the fact that there are good guys who carry guns. Aren’t we grateful. The survivors of the mall shooting certainly are. And, as always, we’re…
Grateful for You!

This week’s podcast focuses on zealotry, including the big boot of “green zealots” on the neck of farmers in the Netherlands, Spain, and New Zealand. With the agricultural sector being forced to submit to “radical green fantasies” and “dodgy science,” the protests have begun.
We also touch on “transanity” in an exchange between law professor Khiara Bridges and Senator Josh Hawley, and look at one of the most monstrous architects of the “final solution,” Adolf Eichmann. Some prophetic words of wisdom and warning by Dietrich Bonhoeffer serve to enlighten us along the way.

We continue our exploration of the cultural wars in this week’s lively podcast, discussing a smorgasbord of topics ranging from LA’s George Gascon to NYC’s Alvin Bragg, both district attorneys whose “reimagined” social policies are failing their magnificent cities.
Along the way, we look at the Left’s pro-forma presentation identifying the toxic characteristics of “white supremacy,” a panoply of sins that condemns nearly everyone. Even our Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas, is not sparred, being characterized as “Uncle Clarence” by actor Samuel L. Jackson, the ubiquitous pitchman for the Capital Card that leaves many members of minority communities in a cycle of poverty. “What’s in your wallet,” Mr. Jackson?
An elegant and eloquent ballerina from Princeton University, Abigail Anthony, reminds us that “Wokeness is especially dangerous if it remains unchallenged.”
Because of you, dear listener, we will continue to address that challenge.

Our logo shines big and bright this week as we wish you and yours a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Disturbingly, many will not be participating in celebrating the birth of our nation this Monday.
Join us on this week’s podcast as we explore the accelerating cultural divide in our country. It’s one of our more impassioned episodes, examining the destructive consequences of the zealous Left upon the Scouts BSA and the cadets at our elite military schools.

Dear Friends,
Cole Porter’s lyrics from “Anything Goes,” it would appear, have come true in 2022:
“In olden days, a glimpse of stocking,
Was looked on as something shocking.
But now, God knows,
Anything goes.”
From Gay Pride parades to the violence surrounding the Supreme Court’s landmark decision overturning Roe vs. Wade, modesty and restraint seem to be virtues démodé.

Like racism is for the vigilant antiracist, so Covid is for the ever-fearful; it is in the very air we breath. One must live in a constant state of anxiety, anticipating the next microaggression, or the latest coronavirus variant.
From the efficacy of boosters to protecting our schools against “lone wolfs,” Dr. Sam Mayhugh, clinical psychologist and former special contractor with the Department of Homeland Security, helps us connect the dots as we examine the deleterious aftermath of the Covid pandemic.
Dr. “Sam,” as he is affectionately called, is coauthor of Covid-19, Resources for Coping with the Pandemic and Beyond, along with his son, psychologist and healthcare executive, Dr. Brian Mayhugh. The book is available on Amazon.com.

Dear Friends,
A grieving nation has had little time this past week to mourn for the 21 people (19 children, two teachers) murdered at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
Led by our “unifying” President, the zealous Left (from Whoopi Goldberg to “Beto” O’Rourke) hopped on its one-trick-pony and blamed it all on guns, guns, and more guns.
Passionately, in this week’s podcast, we discuss those individuals and polices that would eliminate serious consideration of “evil,” “mental illness,” and “fatherless families” as issues contributing to the rise of violence in our country. Join us in this probing discussion.
Here’s to a peaceful Memorial Day for us all.

Biden’s Washington and his puppets in the press continue to intimidate, suppress, and silence those who disagree with their radical policies.
The good news: Recent polls indicate most US citizens believe the nation is on a wrong course and the President’s plummeting approval ratings substantiate that.
To quote Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto from the 1970 film, Tora! Tora! Tora:* “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.” The “woke” have “awakened” a sleeping giant in this nation who are resolved to maintain their freedoms against the increasingly delusional agendas of the far left.

Dear Friends,
Between the lies, obfuscation, and hyperbolic language of the Left, it is hard for the unsuspecting to discern the truth. We need facts, not mindless feelings, sentiments, and mantras.
The “woke,” unwittingly, have awakened an ever-present “silent majority,” a majority who want a say in their children’s education, who want to worship in peace, and may want to reconsider the rights of the unborn.
Join us as we discuss these subjects, along with the political doppelgängers from LA and Chicago respectively—Gavin Newsom and Lori Lightfoot.

Dear Friends,
What trouble can a leak cause? Well, if you’ve ever owned a house, it can be a mysterious labyrinth of frustration and expense.
As of Monday, May 2, the leaked, Supreme Court majority draft opinion (potentially overturning Roe vs. Wade) has already cascaded into a wave of public paroxysm.
Senator Elizabeth Warren has set the tone, leading the faithful in the stale incantation, “We won’t go back!” Nonetheless, if the majority draft opinion holds, the nation should prepare itself for a tsunami of protests. May the thoughtful voices of reason prevail.

Under the disturbing leadership of performance artist/political mouthpiece, Nina Jankowicz, (whose personal record for mis/disinformation is substantial), and under the guise of “content moderation” aiding minority communities, this “Board” is a political tool that impinges upon the sanctity of our First Amendment, “abridging the freedom of speech.”

Dear Friends,
Welcome back to a new podcast of Entering Stage Right. If you listened to last week’s podcast, please note that it was a repeat we had done a year ago; ergo, the reference to it being the “merry month of May,” which a listener from Nashville thought was a calendrical mistake. No, we’ve not lost track of time yet—it’s Easter week and Passover of April 2022—and spring, delightfully so, is “bursting out all over.”
This week’s podcast, A Voice in The Wilderness, highlights the extraordinary playwright and filmmaker, David Mamet. We quote liberally from an article he wrote in tabletmag.com, entitled “American Occupation,” which you can find under the “Arts & Letters” section of tabletmag.com, dated April 13. The article, which is a clarion call to “overcome the occupation,” is worth an entire read.

Philip and I are taking this weekend off to attend a “Premiere Screening” of a movie that I made thirty-five years ago starring the wonderful Michael Moriarty of Law & Order fame. The film was “reimagined” by a Hollywood producer and is living proof that if you live long enough things come around full circle.
We’re reposting a podcast we did months ago before joining Substack entitled “Disney’s Fading Star.” In light of recent developments for the Walt Disney Company, the podcast was a foretaste of things to come. Dear Friends,
In this podcast, we take a close look at the violence around us—from the Oscars to the recent White House announcement of “Gender Affirming Care” to the potential of legalized infanticide.
Euphemisms abound on the Left and in the Biden administration, whose primary occupation appears to be “walking back” the president’s recent string of polemical blunders.
It’s a lively conversation on the violence of our age, and the tragic vs. incompetent nature of our Commander in Chief.
To all of our listeners: may this April be a bright and joyous season for each and every one of you.

While Putin is “purifying” Russia, LA teachers are being pressured to affirm gender ideology and The Walt Disney Company is coercing Governor DeSantis to refute Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education” bill, misnamed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by the Biden administration and its surrogates in the press.

Hoax upon Hoax upon Hoax, perpetrated by the Left, has cost the American taxpayer millions of dollars, and accumulatively these hoaxes are making substantial inroads on our personal freedoms. The American people, as evidenced by the recent election results in Virginia, have had enough—enough of this hocus pocus!
Entering Stage Right connects the historical dots as we look closely at the unabashed deceptions of the Left!

Friends,
Freedom is fragile. It takes courage to obtain it, courage to maintain it. The voters of Virginia (and elsewhere) went to the polls and voted their consciences. The result was a stunning upset.
Join us in this lively conversation, A Time for Courage, highlighting several courageous people, including the intrepid, newly elected Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, Winsome Sears. What an extraordinary American!
Again, thank YOU for Joining us, and…
Be of Good Cheer!

Friends,
Join us for this honest discussion on the DOJ, the NSBA, and CRT as taught in our schools and churches.
If these acronyms seem overwhelming and confusing at times, they do to us as well, but through the obfuscation of today’s “doublespeak,” some solid truths emerge out of today’s vigorous dialogue.
You are the primary reason we do this podcast. Thanks for listening and thanks for sharing the “good news” with a friend … or even with someone outside your close circle. As always…
Thank You for Joining Us!

Friends,
This is a repeat podcast from months ago, prior to our being on Substack. It is new to 90% of our listeners, and answers a question we’ve been asked lately: “How did two Hollywood actors/directors/writers end up on the right side of the aisle doing a podcast?
Shelby Steel and Dietrich Bonhoeffer are paid tribute as “guiding lights” on that journey to the light. Enjoy! And if you haven’t done so, catch last week’s podcast, “Is this the Ladies Room?” The coverup in Loudoun County, VA., has been exposed! We’ll stay on top of the story.
As always, thank YOU for joining US!

Dear Friends,
Continuing our conversation from last week, we look at the pushback to the National School Boards Association letter sent to the Biden Administration, which suggested some of the protesting parents should be classified as “domestic terrorists.”
As the story continues to unfold, we focus on Scott Smith from Loudoun County, VA., whose fifteen-year-old daughter was raped in an “inclusive” restroom at her school.
It’s a tragic story, but one that merits our attention.
Thank you for joining us in the conversation.

Dear Friends,
Don’t miss this week’s Podcast #28 - And Then They Came for Me! We’ve drawn freely from Martin Niemöller’s classic line—"Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up”—as the National School Boards Association has enlisted the help of the Department of Justice in “quieting” the passionate voices of parents confronting CRT/gender ideology in numerous school boards across the country.
Join the conversation by leaving a comment and passing this important podcast along to a friend or two.
As always, thank YOU for joining us on Entering Stage Right!

Dear Friends,
This week’s podcast is revealing: while our nation’s test results in reading, writing, arithmetic, and the sciences are plummeting, books (and teaching) on radical gender ideology are finding their way into our public schools.
To know more, give a listen to Podcast #27 - School Porn, and, if you’re a mother, perhaps you too will want to become one of the “mama bears of America” who are keeping a keen eye on what our precious children are being taught.
“Papa bears” are welcome too!

Dear Friends,
You may find this week’s podcast, The Vanishing Robert E. Lee, a provocative and challenging one. The very mention of Robert E. Lee’s name is anathema to some minds.
Wednesday of this coming week (Sept. 29), we will publish an accompanying essay by the same title that was written last year. It puts our discussion into a broader, historical context, ending with a visionary story of reconciliation and hope.
We encourage you to listen to the podcast first, then the follow-up essay. And, please, let us know what you think. Your thoughts are appreciated!
As always, thank you for joining us on Entering Stage Right and thank you, as you wish, for sharing the podcast with a friend or two.
Here’s To A Beautiful Fall Season!

Dear Friends,
Thanks for joining us on Entering Stage Rightand on this “Day of Remembrance”—observing the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America twenty years later.
All of us who witnessed that horrific day recall vividly where we were and whom we were with. May we take time this day to recall and honor the nearly 3,000 people who perished in that national tragedy.
Let’s also take time to honor the nearly 2,500 men and women of our armed forces who served valiantly in Afghanistan, sacrificing their lives for others, along with thousands of U.S. contractors who perished there as well. History will show they did not die in vain.
And let us not forget the 66,000 Afghan national military and police who were our allies and paid the ultimate price.
We live a great country. We will never forget. We will always remember. We will remain vigilant.
Peace,
Philip Charles MacKenzie & D. Paul Thomas

Dear Friends,
Thanks for joining us on this repeat podcast with Mr. Paul Rossi!
Mr. Rossi was the math teacher at Grace Church School in Manhattan who was “relieved” of his duties for exposing the “demonization” inherent in the teaching of Critical Race Theory.
We first aired this interview on July 11, 2021. Recently, many new listeners have joined us on Substack. For those of you who missed it the first time around, now is your chance to hear directly from Mr. Rossi in this thoughtful, in-depth interview.
Till next week, here’s wishing everyone a restful Labor Day.
Shalom!
