Hello everyone! I am @ernesto6402 and I am happy to be here for this week's Vibes Web3 Music Competition. For this week, I will be playing around with a popular Catholic Nigeria Liturgical song, and I am certain you will enjoy it.

The song I will be performing today is a song by Sir Jude Nnam titled "Thanksgiving of Amazing Grace". I have performed this song a couple of times here on hive, but not on Vibes. That notwithstanding, I will be doing it in a special way today, and I hope you enjoy it. The original song is quite different from what I will be doing today, but it is just my own way of being unique and creative.

ORIGINAL LYRICSChorus:
This is thanksgiving of amazing grace
Amazing grace, amazing grace
Thanksgiving of amazing grace
Lord bless the work of our hands
Amazing grace x2

Verse 1
The earth is the Lord's and everything in it
The world and all who live in it
For he founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the waters
Amazing works of your hands
We thank you, we bless you Lord

Verse 2
BiWe thank you Lord for the grace to be alive
And we thank you Lord for the goodness we enjoy
We thank you Lord for our families
The Gift of children, Lord, friends and relations
Amazing works of your hands
We thank you, we bless you Lord

Hello great people. I am @ernesto6402 and I have chosen to perform "Iyawo Mi" by Timi Dakolo for this week's Afritunes.

Iyawo have been one of my favourite since I heard the song for the first time. It is love song, one of the best I have ever heard; and it's title is simply translated to mean "my wife". Iyawo Mi is a Yoruba phrase, and the entire song is written majorly in English with touch of Yoruba here and there.

Performing this song today, I dedicate to everyone who is in love in the house; love is indeed a beautiful thing 😊. The words of Timi Dakolo in the song Iyawo is directed to his wife whom he praised with numerous beautiful names. As I perform this song today, feel free to sing those beautiful words to you loved one.

Performing this song today, I will be taking just the verse one and two, and the chorus. I will also be accompanying my sing with just the piano voice from my keyboard with no percussion of any form. It is no doubt an entire new version of the original song, but I am certain you will enjoy it.

Lyrics[Verse 1]
Like an angel in the morning
Shooting star across the night
The most beautiful girl I’ve seen in all my life
Every second spent with you is like a day that starts brand new
Girl I’m so amazed at all the things you do
Yes I wanna build my whole world around you
So I promise you forever and for always
Girl you are my sunshine baby don’t you go away

[Chorus]
Iyawo mi
Ololufe mi
Ore mi
Alayo mi
I will love you forever
Iyawo mi
Ololufe mi
Ore mi
Alayo mi
I will love you forever

[Verse 2]
I hear music in your words
And in the way you call my name
When you’re by my side I can’t do anything
You’re my best friend
You’re my lover
Without you no one else will do
Through thick and thin I know we’ll make it
Through
Yes I wanna build my whole world around you
So I promise you forever and for always
Girl you are my sunshine baby don’t you go away

Hello everyone! How did your day go, and how did the previous month treat you. First and foremost, I wish all the Nigerian in the house a happy independence celebration; though it was yesterday, but it is not yet too late to celebrate. I believe every Nigerian in the house had a wonderful celebration 😁.

It was a free day yesterday, the public holiday caused me to have a free day. Seizing the opportunity, I made videos for different hive community all at once. Out of the videos I have made, I will be submitting the one I have choosen for this week's Hive Music Festival today, and I hope you enjoy it.

It a popular worship song in this part of the world titled "what a mighty God we serve". I have know this very song throughout my life; it is one of those songs that are not really associated with an artist. Today I will be doing a kind of freestyle of that beautiful worship song, and I will love those who know the song to tell me what they think about it.

What a mighty God we serve".

He is indeed a mighty God, the very fact that he has brought me thus far is enough prove. In fact, my entire existence is a testimony, and I thank the most mighty one for his unending love. Performing today then, I thank God for his every loving mercy upon my life. If the Lord has done great things for you too, I ask then that you join me in this song of praise to our God. He is indeed mighty!

Thank you so much reading through to the end. I will be dropping the original lyrics as well as the Spanish translation bellow. One Love ✌️.

LyricsWhat a mighty God we serve x2

Hello everyone! It is a new day, but most importantly, it's a new month. I cannot say that I have become rich in the past month, I am as a matter of fact still in my quest of becoming financially stable, but God has been faithful.

Speaking of Wealth, I have choosen a song in my local dialect for this week's Open Mic. The song is simply titled "Olisa Dalu" with the meaning "thank you God", and it is a song by Mezyblack. I have once performed this song in Afritunes community, but I will be performing here today, and I am certain you will enjoy it.

The lyrics of the song "Olisa Dalu" did not in anyway mention wealth or money, it is in fact simply a song of thanksgiving to God, and that is what I have choosen to do. I have choosen to recognise the things he has done, and appreciate him for that. I believe that in thanking God for the things he has done, more will come to being. Instead praying for wealth then, I have decided on this day to thank God for all that he has provided.

I will be dropping the original lyrics of the song bellow alongside English and Spanish translation; but then, there will be an English translation of the song under the lyrics that will be displayed on the video as I sing. You can do well to read along as I sing if you understand everything that I sing. Thank you so much for stopping by, One Love ✌️.

Hello everyone! I am @ernesto6402, and I will be performing the song "Love don't care" by Simi for this week's Afritunes Contest.

I have always loved this song, and I am happy to perform it today. The only problem is that I am performing it as an accapella, but I am still sure you will enjoy it. Love is beautiful thing, but sometimes we tend to be blinded by the situation, personality or status of the one who love's. In as much as it is important to consider every of those, I am one of those who truly believe that true love does not care.

Even though I know I did not do so well with the lyrics, I will still appreciate your critiques, observations and kind words of encouragement. Thank you so much for your support.

Hello everyone. I am @ernesto6402, and it's beautiful to be here for this week's Open Mic once again. For this week, I have decided to do a trending song.

Before I go on to name the song that I will be performing, I beg that the Yorubas in the house forgive my accent. And so, I will be performing the trending "Oluwatosin" by Tkeyz. In my opinion, it is the most powerful gospel music that trended this year.

I got to realise that the meaning of Oluwatosin is "God is worthy of praise"; and then he is enough for me, as the other part of the song expressed. I love this song so much; I no that I may not perform it well enough, but I love it so much.

I was unable to get to the keyboard, so I will be performing with a stable plane pad background instrumental. I will also be taking just the chorus part of the original song, to then verses of my own. I don't really know if it came out well, but I will certainly love to get your opinion on my performance. Feel free to tell me how well or how bad I performed. Thank you so much for coming around.

Hello wonderful people; how have the week been? This is @ernesto6402, and I am happy to participate once again in this week's Afritunes contest. For this week, I will be doing an amazing song titled "Agam atụrụ Chineke nma nma".

It is no new thing that I perform songs of praise a lot, but what can I do; it is indeed good to praise the lord, and I will never stop singing songs of praise to his hold and mighty name. Having said this, the song "Agam atụrụ Chineke nma nma" is an Igbo praise song, and like usual, I will be playing around with it. It is simply chorus, and the title can simply be translated to mean "I will give God praise".

For this week, I will as usual be using just my piano voice from my keyboard, and I will be freestyling this beautiful song. I do not really know the original composer of this song, it is just a popular Igbo Chorus that is being sang in many Igbo churches.

Hello great people. I am @ernesto6402, and it is beautiful to be here once again for this week's Hive Music Festival. It is amazing how the lord has been greatful, his goodness is ever new.

Hola grandes personas.

Today I will be doing a very popular song in my church. A very simple song of petition that was composed by our former Choir master; but I will not be doing it in a choral way. Originally, the song is supposed to be made lively and afro, but I will be doing something different and unique today. The song in question is titled "Abba Father", and it is a powerful song of petition.

Performing today, I dedicate this to everyone who is asking God for one favour or another; that the good lord who sees the heart of all being may grant them their heart desires. I also dedicate this to those who have been diagnosed with one terminal disease or another; that the good lord may heal them of their infirmity if it be his will. For the less privileged; that he may grant them divine upliftment. In all, I dedicate this performance to you reading through this post; that God may grant what ever it is that you desire.

The song Abba Father is just a simple Chorus with no verse, but I will be giving it something that looks a verse for the purpose of this performance; a kind of freestyle. I will also be playing with just the piano sound on my keyboard, with no percussion of any form. In all, the idea is to sound as less afro as possible.

Lyrics / LetraAbba father
Please hear us
We beg you
Oh lord

Abba padre
Por favor escúchanos
Te lo suplicamos
Oh señor

Once again, I am @ernesto6402 and I thank you for reading through to the end of this post. May God bless you and grant every of your heart desires. One Love ✌️.

Hello good people. I will be bringing us something special and unique today, an Afro Nigeria praise song titled "Olisa Dalu". The phrase Olisa Dalu is an Igbo phrase, and it simply means God thank you.

Hola buena gente.

Once again, I will be performing this beautiful song in my own unique way. It is originally suppose to be a lively and danceable Afro Gospel music, but I will be doing something different. It is also suppose to be a choral song, but I will be doing a solo.

Accompanying this kind of song with just the piano voice is quite unusual, but I will be doing it today. I will also try to give it a softer and easy going feel with my singing; in all, I am certain you will enjoy it.

Hello beautiful people. This is @ernesto6402, and I will for this week of Hive Open Mic be performing the song "Bring your offering to the lord".

Hola gente hermosa. Soy @ernesto6402, y para esta semana de Hive Open Mic estaré interpretando la canción "Bring your offering to the lord".

Originally, it is supposed to be a lively Nigeria Catholic choral offertory hymn, but I will doing something special with it today. I will be playing around with it a little, and I am certain you will enjoy it. As much as possible, I will be stripping the song of every of its afro nature.

On thing I love most about this very song is the fact that it emphasis other things that could be offering to our Maker and God aside material offering. It is a very simple song; one of the simplest Nigeria Catholic hymn, but it is a powerful song. Sadly I will not be able to sing the entire verses of the song, which is where the message lies, but I will be dropping the original song right under this post. I hope you find time to listen to it. For Spanish readers, the the translated lyrics under will help you under the message of the song. God bless you!

Hello good people. This is @ernesto6402, and it's beautiful to be here again for this week's Afritunes Contest. For this week, I will be performing an amazing song; I will be performing the song Alleluia by Johnny Drille.

The song that I will be performing today is an amazing duet by Johnny Drille and Simi, but I will be performing it alone, doing both Adekunle and Simi's part. It was a challenge though, given that I am not able to replicate Simi's female voice, but it came out not so bad and I am certain you will enjoy it.

It is a love song; but beyond that, it paint's a picture of two young people who were secretly crushing on themselves, only to realise that they are both in love with each other. I have always loved this very song because of the story it tells, but beyond that, I love it because of the two artists that collaborated to produce it. Both Simi and Adekunle are my favourite artist; thus, I am interested in any song they both appear in.

Original Lyrics [Verse 1 – Johnny Drille]
I really like you and it’s true
There is only one, just you
I find it hard to say
I wish you knew I am on your instagram all day, Stalking you
You in my life, its all I’m hoping for
If you go be mine, yeh, na forever more
I wan talk my mind and say how I feel inside
But I fear you won’t, you won’t feel the same for me

[Chorus – Johnny Drille]
Oh if she loves me, Halleluya
If she say she love me, Halleluya
Oh if she loves me, Halleluya
If she say she love me, Halleluya
[Verse 2 – Simi]
I see the way he, the way he looks at me
I know the things he, the things he does for me
Boy if I could read your mind, I wonder if I’ll be inside
If you could be mine, I feel like I’ve been drinking wine
If you call me baby, me I no go mind o
I know you want me baby, make you talk your mind o
You see that I’ve been waiting, me I no go lie o, me I no go lie o
Maybe I’m just crazy, but...

Hello good people. This is @ernesto6402, and it is a thing of joy to be here once again for this week's Hive Music Festival. God has been faithful to me, and I have decided to praise his name this week with a freestyle of this wonderful Alleluia that we usually sing in my church. I just hope you enjoy it.

Hola buena gente.

While making my record I made a little mistake by calling week 149 instead of week 150. At first I wanted to discard it and forget about this week's entry since I do not have the time to go back and remake the video, but on a second taught, I decided to publish it that way. I beg then that you ignore this little error and pay more attention to message I will be passing through the song.

Alleluia as we all know is a Hebrew word that simple means "praise the Lord", and I have found so many reason to sing Alleluia to my creator. This is my birth month, and the fact that God had lead me successfully into another phase of my life is enough reason to praise his name. Simply put, the whole idea of my performance this week is to thank God for his love and mercies. You too are free to join me in this song of praise to our God.

Originally, the song that I will be performing today is a choral song, but I will be performing alone. Beyond the fact that I will be doing it as a solo, I will also be playing around with the original notes of the song. In other words, I will be freestyling the song. Alongside my singing, I will play with just the piano voice from my keyboard. In all, I hope it turns well, and that you enjoy it.

Hello everyone. This is @ernesto6402, and it it beautiful to be here once again for this week's Afritunes Contest. For the week, I will be bringing a very popular Igbo Nigeria praise song, but in a unique way.

The song I will be performing today is titled "Agam atụrụ Chineke nma nma", and it is a popular Igbo praise. Beyond being a beautiful song, it is a song that affirms the fact that God continuously do great things in our lives. Acknowledging the numerous goodness of God upon my life, I perform this song today, and I am certain you will enjoy joining me in this song of Thanksgiving.

The original song is supposed to be Afro and lively, but what I will be doing nothing close to that. I will be performing a unique version of this song, with just my grand piano voice. The original song is suppose to be a simple and easy going chorus, but I will be doing something completely different today. I will be giving some verse, allowing the original song to serve as the chorus.

For this week, I will be doing an original freestyle, and I am certain you will enjoy it. I decided to title the song "Mma Mma", which is directly translated to me "thanks". Thus, this is simply me saying thanks to God for all he has done.

On the 16 of this month was my birthday, I never had much to celebrate with, but I thank God for his love and mercy. And so, this is me thanking the almighty for leading me into another phase of life.

This is not just a new song, it was sang as it came, and so I do not have a written lyrics of the song. Nevertheless, I will be dropping the part I consider to be chorus alongside the translation. In all, I am certain you will enjoy it 😊. One Love, and thank you for stopping by.

Hello good people. I am @ernesto6402, and I am pleased to be here once again. In response to week's topic, I will be doing the song "Excess Love", a song that have got great and beautiful message.

Hola buenas gentes.

The song "Excess Love" is a song by the Nigerian gospel musician Mercy Chinwo. The fact that this song speaks of Good unconditional love is for me what makes it most exceptional, and I will be sharing it with us today.

For me, it is the love of God my creator that keeps me going. He is my father, my king, and my love; and he has always been there to guild, even through difficult times. Even when the mountains of life presents themselves, God has been there to lead me through the mountain top. It is all about his love, and I am here today to proclaim it.

Performing today, I will be doing it alongside my keyboard. It is more of a cover as I will not be singing it the exact way it was done originally. Nevertheless, I am certain you would enjoy my own version of this amazing song.

Hello! How are you today? As for me, I am fine, the lord has always supplied all my need. He is for me my great provider, my prince of peace and my Lord. There non, like him, and I have chosen to worship him in this week. Having said all of these, I will be performing a very popular Nigeria Praise song in a unique way this week.

Today, I will be performing the song "You are God"; a very popular Nigeria Makosa praise song. But then, I will be doing something unique with it, I will be turning it into a worship. The plan is to make it sound as less Afro as possible even with losing it sweetness.

The reason behind this post is to Praise the name of the almighty. This period has been really hard for me as a person, but somehow, I was able to scale through; and it was the hand of God all the way. If God also been there for you, I ask that you join me in praising his ever glorious name.

Today, I will be performing alongside my keyboard as I sing. And will love to get you beautiful comments and suggestions down there. Thank you so much for reading through to the end. One Love ✌️

Hello wonderful people. This is @ernesto6402, and I am happy to be here once again after being away for sometime. For this week, I will be performing an original song; a song I composed right on the spot while sitting on my keyboard. I guess it turn out well, but I will sincerely appreciate your opinion and contribution.

Hola gente maravillosa.

The idea is to proclaim God as the one that holds us in being, and I guess I was able to do that. It might not have been perfect musically, but the message of the song was clear enough. As a Christian, I believe that we wholly depend on God, he is the one that holds us in being. If you believe too, I beg that you join me in acknowledging that.

I apologize for not having the complete lyrics of the song. It was kind of freestyle, so I never wrote the lyrics down before performance. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hello my people! This is your usual boy @ernesto6402, and I am happy to be here for this week's Afritunes Contest. In a special way, I appreciate my boss @ovey10 and the entire team of Hive Open Mic who put in effort to ensure that this community keep going. It is certainly no easy job; may God strengthen you and keep you guys going.

For this special and blessed week, I have chosen to praise the name of the the lord in a high-life way. As a matter of fact, I will be doing a cover of the song "See what the Lord has done" by Nathaniel Bassey. The lord have always been faithful, and his goodness upon our lives cannot be measured. And so, I have decided to praise him in an African way today. I only ask that you sing and dance along as we go.

I will be performing along, with my keyboard. It is actually by Church keyboard, a "770 PSR Yamaha keyboard". There are already recorded afro beats on the keyboard, I just picked one of the 4/4 high-life beat, and decided to vibe with it. At first, I never had the song I will be performing in mind, but after playing for a while, something came to mind. Eventually, it came out really well.

"See what the lord has done" is quite a popular song here in Nigeria, but performing it today, I will be doing a unique version. I will pick the verse one of that beautiful song as my chorus while I play around with whatever comes to mind. In all, I hope you enjoy my perform.

ORIGINAL LYRICS[Verse 1]
See what the Lord has done

[Verse 2]

Can you see What the Lord has done?

See what the Lord has done...

Hello friends! I am @ernesto6402, and I am once again happy to be here. In a special way, I appreciate @stefy.music and everyone who put in effort to ensure that this initiative keep up. It is a task that demands great consistency, and it is certainly no simple task. May the grace God strengthen you and keep you going.

¡Hola amigos y amigas!

I am a lover of Christian music, and not participating for "praise and worship" music every week sometimes give me concern. But I certainly cannot help it, I get too busy that I barely find time for the things I love doing. Notwithstanding, I will by his grace try my best to keep up this time.

For this week, and with respect to the week's theme, I will be performing the song "you are the pillar". It is a very popular Christian worship chorus over here in Nigeria, so popular that it is known by every Nigerian Christian. I choose this song because of how much it attributes our entire existence to God, and it is no doubt in line with the theme of the week. In summary, this very song opines that God is the pillar that holds out lives.

I completely agree, without God we are nothing. He is the cause of our being, and by extension, the cause of our lives. In affirming that he is the one that holds our being, we by extension give glory to his name. Having said all of these, I will beg that you join me to praise the name of creator and God. Indeed, he is the pillar that holds our lives.

This performance is more like a cover of the original song, and so I will be doing something unique without loosing touch of the original song. In all, I am certain you will enjoy every bit of it.

Hello everyone! This is @ernesto6402, and I am pleased to be here once again for this week's open mic. The lord has been faithful, and his mercy has never failed. His love is every new, and he is ever concerned about us. With all these being said, I will be performing the song "deeper in love" for this week's open mic. A song by a popular Nigerian catholic liturgical composer; Jude Nnam.

The most important reason why I acknowledge God's love is the fact that there is a last time for each of us. A time when we all will have to go back to our God and Creator. The song "deeper in love" is a song of prayer; a song with which we pray to our father above to hold us deeper in his love. That for me is the most important thing in a Christian's life; being held in love with Christ. This is most important given the fact that there is a last time for each of us, a time when we will eventually go back to our creator. If it be the case that we are not held in love with him at that point in time, it might as well become the case that we shall parish.

"Deeper in love" is originally a choral song, but I will be performing it alone today. I will be doing an acapella version of the song. In all, I hope you enjoy it, and that you find God's love that know no bound as you listen to my performance. One Love ✌️

ORIGINAL LYRICS / LETRA ORIGINALTake me(take me) deeper in Love with you Jesus
Take me Deeper in Love
Hold me(hold me) Closer in Love with you Jesus
Hold me Closer in Love with you.

  • Lord there is a longing only you can fill
A raging tempest only you can still
My souls is thirsting for you my God
    God quench my thirst
    Lord feed my soul

Take me(take me) deeper in Love with you Jesus
Take me Deeper in Love
Hold me(hold me) Closer in Love with you Jesus
Hold me Closer in Love with you.

  • Yes from sunrise to sunrise I seek your face
From day to day I long for your touch
To hold my hand Lord lest I fall
To draw me nearer, closer to thee

Take me(take me) deeper in Love with you Jesus
Take me Deeper in Love
Hold me(hold me) Closer in Love with you Jesus
Hold me Closer in Love with you.

Hello guys! This is Mr Ernest, and I bring to you an capella version of a beautiful Nigerian highlife song titled "Iyawo Mi" by Timi Dakolo. This is one of the songs that reminds me how beautiful love is.

¡Hola chicos!

"Iyawo Mi" is a Yoruba phrase that is translated as My Wife. In his song Iyawo Mi, Timi Dakolo affirmed that his beloved wife is not just a wife to him. She is his lover, his love, his best friend and so more. An affirmation that can only be made by a person who have made the best of choice; a person who can with his experience tell how beautiful love is.

I believe in love, and so I dedicate my performance today to all who are truly in love; to all who are aspiring to understand the beautiful of love, and to all who believe in love. I pray that we all one day make the perfect choice, a choice that will bring us great happiness and peace that knows no bounds.

Originally, Iyawo Mi is a song with highlife Afro percussions. It is as a matter of fact a danceable song, but I will be doing something simple and unique today with it. I will not just be doing an acapella version of this amazing song, I will also be performing it as a solo. I am currently not close to the piano, and so I am left with no choice than to do it this way. I just hope you enjoy it.

Hello everyone! This is @ernesto6402, and I am happy to have eventually made it to this week and round of Hive Music festival. This week have not been a very good one on my owe side; I kind of felled really sick, and I was at some point wondering if I could still make it for this week's festival or not. Obviously, I eventually did it, and I will be bringing us an amazing freestyle this week.

This is my second time of being here, and I will be playing around with a chorus by Teni. Teni being a Nigerian secular musician is not use to dropping gospel songs, but she dropped this amazing simply Chorus sometime in 2019. I guess it was not really a song, it was a simply fucky chorus that yet sent an amazing message. It was completely in Nigeria Pidgin English, but could almost be understood by a regular English speaker. Meanwhile, the entire chorus is translated as follows: "if it were to be man, I would have died of hunger; God you are mighty".

One good thing about this song is the fact that it is for everyone who is reading through this post right now. For most of us, God has provided so much for us that food is no longer a problem to us. Nevertheless, there are hundreds on the street who bearly find what to eat. The song "if to say na man" by Teni might be funny, but it brings to mind a very crucial message; it brings to mind the fact that we need to thank God for constantly putting food on our table.

For this week, I just wish to have fun. As a matter of fact, I have decided that I will be doing this song in a very special way. I will play on my keyboard as I sing along, doing everything possible to ensure that I enjoy myself at the same time. It might be me having for fun, but I also wish for you opinion at the same time. Having said this, I will appreciate whatever comment, correction or contribution you have to offer as you join me to song to our creator. I love you all!

Hello everyone! I am @ernesto6402, and I am happy to be part of this week's Open Mic. In response to the theme of the week, I will be doing an original song titled "Peace Be Still". A song that reminds us of the perfect peace that only God brings, and of the fact that it is absolutely going to be alright with him in our lives.

The presence of God in our lives is like a perfect peace coming to being. It feels the atmosphere around us with fragrance of goodwill, all we need to do is to realise him and the peace that he brings.

As you listen to my performance today, I recommend that you pwesonalise it. Speak to that which troubles your mind, tell it to be still. Speak to it, that it may realise the presence of God and his greatness. To that trouble in your heart, "peace be still🙏".

The song I am performing today is a raw freestyle that was composed at the spot. Considering this fact, I ask that you do not fail to drop your comments, encouragements and corrections as you listen. Make sure you do not deny me whatever it is you feel can help me grow. As you do that, may the peace of the lord never depart from your heart. One Love ✌️

Hello everyone. I am @ernesto6402, and I will doing an original freestyle titled "I Surrender All" for this week's Open Mic.

Hola a todos. Soy @ernesto6402, y voy a hacer un freestyle original titulado "I Surrender All" para el Open Mic de esta semana.

For a while, I sat on the keyboard thinking of a song I can sing to my Mom given the week's theme, but nothing was coming forth. At last, I decided to sing whatever comes to mind, and what you see here is the result. I decided to do an entirely new song with whatever lyrics that enters my mind. It did not come out perfect, but it was good, far better than I thought. Even though is no mother's song, I still dedicate it to my beautiful mom; she is the most amazing woman in this planet.

What I was able to come up with is a Gospel song that speaks of total surrendering to God, even in our most difficult moments. In fact, it is in those moments that we are expected to completely surrender to him. He is our God, and he will never forsake us. I dedicate this song to not just my mother, but to all the mothers in the world. That in their most difficult moments, they may learn to surrender all to God, and that God will never forsake them.

Given how I came about the song, I may not be able to note down the lyrics of the entire song. For this very reason, I will be noting down just the chorus of the song.

Hello everyone! This is @ernesto6402, and I am here for this week's praise and worship. For this week, I will praising the name of creator with the song "I have a very big God. But then, I will be do a special arrangement of the song today.

With respect to the week's theme "adversity", it is crucial to note that thing are though difficult, but we must not stop praising the name of our creator. It is in fact in the most difficult moments that he demands our praise the most. Performing today then, I thank the name of the Lord for not just what he has done, but for the ones he is yet to do.

The song "I have a very big God" is not not just a song of praise, it is a song that affirms the fact that God is always by our side. He is always by our side, even in times of adversity; always there to guide and to lead the way. If it be the case then that you are facing one challenge or another, know it that our great God is always by your side. God to him in prayer, and be assured that he will make all things right at his appointed time.

For this week's performance, I will play the keyboard and sing along. There will be no percussion of any form, it will just be the grand piano sound and my voice. The song in question is not ascribed to a particular composer, and it always performed in churches in an Afro way; with Afro percussions. Performing it today, I am coming up with something unique. I will be doing it with percussion of any form.

Hello everyone! I am @ernesto6402 and this will be my first time participating in Hive Music Festival. I just hope you enjoy what I have got.

Participating for this very first time, I will be doing a cover of the song "Thank you Lord". It is a popular chorus over here in Nigeria that is always sang during praises in chirchs. The song in question is not particularly ascribed to any particular composer. Today, I will be doing something unique with it; and I trust you will love.

It is originally a morning devotion kind of song. Often accompanied by claps or easy going percussion, but I will be doing it differently. I will be performing with just piano sound on my keyboard; this time, there will be no beat of any form. It will be just the sound of my voice and that of the keyboard.

It is all about praising the name of the Lord. His mercy, grace and goodness are ever new, and he has ever been their for me. I certainly cannot thank him enough for all he has done, but I will never stop singing his praises.

Good morning everyone. This is me - @ernesto6402, and I am here again for this week's open mic. With respect to the week's topic. I will be doing the song "Be Alright" by PC Lapez.

I love this very song so much because of the message of encouragement it sends. Considering the week's theme, I liken rain to difficulties, hard time and pain. As a matter of fact, I sending words of encouragement through this song to who ever that might be in need of it.

There are so many people going through heavy rain of hardship, emotional breakdown and so many other things. This song is for you. The very fact that you are already going through it shows how strong a person you are; just keep up, and know that it is just a matte of time - everything is gonna be alright.

The original song my PC Lapez is nothing like what I will be doing. As a matter of fact, I will be doing an acapella version today, and I hope you enjoy.

Today I went to my farm, and it was an amazing experience. Though we live in the city of Port Harcourt, the cost of things has caused almost everyone to adjust their lifestyle. This, though, does not include the rich and the wealthy, at least I guess so.My cousin who lives here in Port Harcourt helped us get the land. There is no much land to farm on here since it is a city, and when you eventually find some, renting it costs a lot. We are lucky to have gotten this one for free. A friend of my in-laws (my cousin's husband) owns the land, and he has asked them to keep farming on it until he is ready to develop it. Fortunately, the land is so big that they ca not farm it alone; we were eventually invited to join.

By "we", I mean my siblings and I, but it is more or less just me; I guess none of them really enjoy farm work, coupled with the fact that they are not always around. We started last year, and we have already harvested the crops from the farm. First, we harvested our first cucumbers as well as corn. Since cassava stays for at least a year before harvest, we recently harvested our first cassava from the farm. We have been eating garri made from the cassava we have harvested from the farm all this while.

My first cultivation for the year; the corns are seriously been attacked by caterpillars.

We recently planted cassava and corn, and that is what we are currently working on. While some parts of the farm have grown a bit, we have just recently dug some. We normally hire labourers to help with the digging while we continue with the maintenance of the farm ourselves. Now, this is where my siblings come in. Since I do most of the farm work, we have agreed that the both of them will provide whatever finance is needed to run the farm. In turn, the farm is wholly for consumption purposes. Even if we eventually sell some of the produce, we still use the money we make to run the house.

My hoe and I 😅

My work on the farm today was weeding. The corn is doing quite well; the only problem we have is caterpillars - they are eating them up really badly. To control them, I had to spray insecticide on the crops yesterday. Going back today, I began a manual weeding process; I really do not like using chemicals for weeding. Doing it manually allows me to support the crops with soil as I weed. I left home as early as 6:30 a.m., and since the farm was only a 5-minute walk from home, I began working by 6:40. Eventually, I was able to cover one-third of the farm. I never expected I could cover that much.

Cassava is the main deal here, but it takes too much time to mature completely - a whole year. The only good thing about it is that it doesn't require much. A one-time weeding is enough for your cassava farm, coupled with the fact that it's virtually pest- and insect-free. The most interesting thing is how much it produces; most of our sales from farm produce come from cassava, after we've made garri and flour for consumption from it.

The last set I cultivated. I added a little bit of cucumber this time.

Since we started farming, over sixty percent of our food has been taken care of. At least that is enough consolation for the labour. I knew it would be of help to the household, but I never really realised how helpful it would be. I am ever so happy to have engaged in it.

Hello friends! This is @ernesto6402 and I am delighted to be a part of this week's open mic. In a special way, I appreciate the community for coming up with the amazing topic "long night".

Hello friends! This is @ernesto6402 and I am delighted to be a part of this week's open mic. In a special way, I appreciate the community for coming up with the amazing topic "long night".

The topic "long night" is really an amazing one and I will be presenting the song "Excess Love" by Mercy Chinwo in response to that. God is indeed wonderful and his goodness never fail. His love is ever new, as He shields us from even the darkest of evil. He never allows the happenings of the night to harm us, for he is ever-loving.

The song Excess Love is in summary a song that affirms the ever-loving nature of God, and I will be performing it for this week's hive open mic. For today's performance, I will be doing a cover of the song as I play along on my keyboard and I hope you enjoy it.

Hello friends! This is @ernesto6402 and I am delighted to be a part of this week's open mic. In a special way, I appreciate the efforts of the entire hive open mic community. I appreciate @cabelindsay, @mipiano, @jesuslnrs, @fernanblog, @stickupboys, @alex-rourke, @starstrings01 and the entire members of the community. I also appreciate the wonderful theme which has been selected for this week's open mic. The uniqueness of the theme caused me to contemplate for a while before being able to come up with a song to perform.

¡Hola amigos y amigas!

Today I will be performing the song "Owo Oluwa", an amazing Yoruba native chorus. Though I am a Nigerian but I am not a Yoruba but the theme of this week's open mic had forced me to go out of my comfort zone. Today for the first time, I will be performing a song that is neither my native dialect nor English. I might not be a Yoruba but I have lived in Yoruba land. My travel to the city of Ibadan to begin my tertiary studies was my first long travel ever. Though it was an another man's land but I was treated with great hospitality. I love the people of Ibadan, I loved Yoruba language but I was for some reason unable to learn the Yoruba language.

As I perform this song today, I do not only sing a song with great meaning. I also represent a place I have traveled to, a culture I have sheared and a people I have being with. Yes, the song Owo Oluwa is a song with great meaning. For clarity on the meaning, I will be dropping both the English and Spanish translation of the lyrics after the original bellow. Check it out and thank me latter😁

Hello friends! It has really been a while. I am @ernesto6402 and I will be participating in this week's praise and worship after a long time. It is a new year and we cannot thank God enough for his unending kindness. It is in fact his love that kept us going and we ought to continuously praise him for being ever loving.

¡Hola amigos!

Participating in this week's Praise and Worship, I will be doing a song in my local dialect titled "Odighi onye ozo". The title "Odighi onye ozo" simply means "there is no other person" in Igbo language, a language that is associated with the Igbo tribe of Nigeria. Fortunately, that is my tribe😊. Of course there is no other person I put my trust in aside my everloving heavenly father. And this very song is a strong affairmator of that very fact.

He has been faithful and have never failed to lead me through whenever the journey gets really tough. Performing this song today, I do not just affirm his unending love but also affirm the fact that I will forever depend on him. He will forever be my God, father and king.

Siempre será mi Dios, mi padre y mi rey.

For clarity sake, I will put down the original lyrics of the song, an English translation and a Spanish translation.

Hello my people! This is a new week of Afritunes contest and I am happy to be part of it. For this week I will be doing the song Obinigwe by GUU. GUC is my favourite Nigeria gospel artist and I love this particular music so much, but I will be performing my own unique version of that very music today. Yes, the Obinigwe that I will be performing today will be slightly different from the original but I bet you will love it.God's goodness and mercy has never seized to be upon us even when we fail to do his will. He is ever loving and kind and that is what amazes me most about him. Performing today I acknowledge his ever merciful nature and the fact that he has been more than a father to me. I just hope that you join me in this.

Original lyricsI’m Amazed by what you do
I’m Amazed
You came Through for Me
Even in my Darkest Moment

From Distant Past
And yet, You’re Still doing Good

Hello guys. I am here again and I will as usual be doing what I love doing the most and that is music. Participating in this week's open mic I will be doing the song "we bring the sacrifice of praise". Before I continue, I appreciate the community in a special way for coming up with the theme "my prayer" for this week's open mic. It is in response to this amazing theme that I will be doing the song "we bring the sacrifice of praise".

Hola chicos.

I have always believed that there is no form prayer greater than that of thanksgiving and that is why I choose this song for this week's open mic. Today, I pray to God in thanksgiving for the things he has done, the ones he is yet to do and the ones he chosen not to do in his infinite wisdom. He is God and he indeed deserve our unending praise. Having said all of these, I calm on everyone of you to join in praising the name of our God, join me in this prayer of thanksgiving.

In response to the theme of the week, I will be doing an original song titled "all of my dreams". I thought so much about the song to use for this week's theme and nothing was coming, I only decided to do something yesterday afternoon my football training within the church premises. I when into the chapel, sat on the keyboard and decided to do something and that was the result: an original song titled all of my dreams. I just hope you enjoy it.

As humans we dream and we aspire. In all of our dreams, it of great importance that we do not exempt God since he is our Lord and creator. The song "all of dreams" is simply a prayer to God Almighty. It is a total commitment of every of my dreams and wishes into his hands believing that he will perfect it all. God is good and I believe that what ever is left in his hands will be made good too.

Hello my amazing people of God. I am @ernesto640 and I am happy to be a part of this week's praise and worship musical event. In a special way I appreciate @stefy.music for constantly keeping up with this amazing initiative, it is indeed a great work of elevangelism. This week's theme is quite unique, it treats a topic that reminds us Christians that prayers and spirituality is not all that is needed of us, that for me is simply amazing. On that note, I appriciate @riaz1122 for coming up with such an amazing topic for the week.

In response to the the theme of the week being ambition, I will be doing an original song titled "lord we drop it at your feet". I have always believed that what God does not approve will never come to being, and so it's better to drop every of our plans and ambitions at his fee. Performing this unique and amazing song this week, I lay down everything at his feet. My worries, my fears, my unknowns, my feature, my plans and ambitions, I simply believe he can do it all.

The song I will be performing for this week's praise and worship is completely a freestyle since I composed it right at the spot. It might not turn out perfect but that is me trying out myself and my capabilities. At first I was completely blank while sitting on the keyboard, the entirely composition was just what came to mind after sitting for a while and playing around with my keys.

Hello guys, I am @ernesto6402 and I am happy to be here one again for this amazing musical event. I was so occupied last last week that I could not participate fully in the activities of the community, I really missed being a part of the community. In a special way I appreciate the community for coming up with the theme summertime for this weeks hive open mic.

Due to my in-activeness in the community last week, I was unable to be a part of the week's open mic. Participating today, I will be seizing this opportunity to do what I would have loved to do the week before now. On this regard, I send my special greetings to Papa @lecumberre, I am certain God is doing a new thing in your life. You are definitely going to get well soon.

Summertime is indeed an amazing theme, it has a way of bringing this feeling of joy, happiness and freedom to mind. Yesterday was good Shepherd Sunday and it kind of influenced my performance today. The fact that God is my Shepherd have a way of bringing joy and happiness to my soul, it constantly remind me that I have got nothing to worry about and that I am a free man. My knowledge of the fact that God is my Shepherd have a way of bringing summer feelings to my being.

Still in the spirit of the theme of the week, I send words of encouragement to Papa @lecumberre. The lord is indeed you shepherd and he will certainly lead you out of whatever pains you are going through at the moment. Get well soon and may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ never depart from you and your house hold.

The song I will be performing today is titled "the lord my shepherd". The song the lord my shepherd was inspired by the shepherd Sunday we had few days ago, I only composed that song while sitting on the keyboard the evening of that same Sunday to perform something for this week's hive open mic. The entire song was just me trying out my freestyle skills and it didn't turn out so bad. I will try as much as possible to write down the lyrics of the song even though it completely a freestyle. In all, I just hope you enjoy my freestyle.

Original Lyrics/Letras originalesThe lord is my shepherd
There is nothing I shall want
For he watches over every step that I am gonna take
And I fear no evil at all x2

Surely goodness and mercies shall follow me
All the days of my life till enternity
Because my father got all it takes to keep me safe
And there is nothing I shall want

The lord is my shepherd
There is nothing I shall want
For he watches over every step that I am gonna take
And I fear no evil at all

Oh he will always keep me
From the darts of my enemies
His right hand will shield me
He's always bedside me
And I fear no evil at all

The lord is my shepherd
There is nothing I shall want
For he watches over every step that I am gonna take
And I fear no evil at all

Papa mi (my father)
Baba mi (my father)
I trust that
You will supply all my need x2

Hello everyone. I am @ernesto6402 and I am here once again for this week's vibe web3 music competition. In a special way I appreciate the efforts of @verbal-d, @lordbutterfly, and others who make effort to see that this wonderful event keeps holding. I also congratulate our previous winners, you guys are really amazing. The theme root is indeed an amazing one, it takes us back to amazing memories, things that are almost long forgotten. In response to this amazing theme, I will be doing the song coat of many colours. Coat of many colours by Dolly Parton holds so many memories for me, it is a song that reminds me a lot about home and my childhood. It was my mother's favourite song and she played and sang it almost everyday. I got to sing it along side her at a very tender age.

For my performance this week, I will be doing an acapella version of the song coat of many colours. This is just me doing my own version of that amazing song and I hope you enjoy it.

LYRICS
Back through the years I go wondering once again
Back to the seasons of my youth
I recall the box of rags that someone gave us
And how my mama put the rags to use
There where rags of many colours
Every piece was small
And I didn't have a coat
And it was a way down in a fall
Mama sewed the rags together
Sawing every piece with love
She made my coat of many colours
That I was so proud ofAs she sew she told a story
From the Bible she have read
About the coat of many colours
Joseph worn and then she said
Perhaps this coat will bring you
Goodluck and happiness
And I just couldn't wait to wear it
And mama blessed it with a kiss

My coat of many colours that my mama made for me
Made only from rags but I wore it so proudly
And though I know we had no money
But I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colours
My mama made for me

Hello Afritunes, how are you guys and how is the week going. I am @ernesto6402 and it pleases me to be here once again. For this week's contest, I will be doing a well known song in a unique way. I will doing the song "obinasom" by Mercy Chinwo in a special way today. The idea is to just sing whatever comes to mind the exact way it came without losing touch of the original song. Just stay calm and listen, I am certain you are going to love what I have got for you.Performing this song today I appropriate God for always seeing though even in my unworthiness. Though I am a great sinner but God who is goodness personified still found reasons to love me and to call me his own. The lyrics of this song is dear to me, it sometimes make me reflect on my life, my mistakes and how God have always seen me through all of it. He is indeed a father like no other and my life is a testimony of his ever loving kindness. I call on you then to join me is acknowledging him and his ever loving kindness.

LYRICS
See the way you love me
See the way you care for me
You carry my matter for your head
Ineme obinasomLike a little baby
You watched over me lord
You no dey carry me dey play
Inaeme obinasom

Ah Ah Ah Ah

I shall for this week's contest be recognising the good works our creator has done upon me and the fact that he brought me down to the middle of the year. For this week's contest I will be doing the song "see what the lord has done" by Nathaniel Bassey. Before I continue, I apologize to the house for what I am about to do to this song😀. I certainly will not be singing the original version of the song, I will in fact be doing a unique version of it and I promise to wow you with my performance.

For the purpose of my performance today, I will only be concerned with the chorus of that beautiful song, the rest will be additional original free lyrics. For the instrumentals, I will playing on my keyboard alongside an Afro percussion loop. I will be doing it my own way and I shall not replicate what was done in the original song. I just hope you enjoy it.

Hello everyone. I am @ernesto6402 and I am happy to be here. For this week's Vibes Web3 Music competition I will be bringing us an acapella. To be specific, I will be doing the hymn "Christ is my rock" in a kind of acapella way and I hope you enjoy it. The hymn "Christ is my rock" have for some reason become my favorite hymn from the very first day I heard it and I am happy to shear it with you guys on this day in a special way. Performing today, I will doing a an acapella version. For the purpose of this performace, I will doing just the verse one of that amazing song. I just trust you enjoy what I have got to offer. Once again I am ernesto6402. One Love✌️

LyricsChrist is my rock, my refuge, my stronghold,
Firm as the tree's root that clutches the land.
He who has faith builds without worry, not like the man who builds upon sand.
I set my house on a solid foundation
Christ is my rock the root of my soul's recreation.

I know a man who loved to live "free",
He pitched his tent by the side of the sea.
It stood near the surf and was washed by the spray
'Till one day a wave came and washed it away.

I know a man who loved to live high.
He built his castle near up to the sky,
Through summer and spring it stood pretty well,

Hello guys. I am @ernesto6402 and I am happy to be a part of this weeks hive open mic. For this week, I will once again be singing songs of praise to our God. To be more specific, I will be doing the popular worship song titled "what a mighty God we serve". In a special way I appreciate @g2comfort for bringing us the theme "desire" for this week's open mic.

Hola, chicos.

We can certainly not tank God enough, his unending mercy surpasses our human understanding. The only thing he desires of us is thanksgiving and praise and that is what I will be doing today. I will be thanking God in my own little way and I simply ask that you join me.

The Song what a might God we serve is a popular worship over here in Nigeria. Though it has been covered by so many Nigeria gospel artist but I will be bring it to us today in a special way. Performing it in my own unique way, I will be covering the song with just my piano sound from the keyboard. I just you enjoy my own unique version of that amazing song.

Lyrics/letra
What a mighty God we serve
What a might God we serve
Heaven and Earth adore him
Angels bow before him
What a mighty God we serve

¡Qué Dios tan poderoso servimos!
¡Qué Dios tan poderoso al que servimos!
El cielo y la tierra lo adoran.
Los ángeles se inclinan ante él
¡Qué Dios tan poderoso servimos!

Hello my amazing friends of Hive Open Mic. I am @ernesto6402 and I am here as usual for this week's open mic. For this week, I will be doing a freestyle and an original song. The song in question is titled "we believe". The most amazing thing about the song "we believe" is the fact that it was composed at the spot. Playing on the keyboard, I just sang whatever came to mind and the outcome was really amazing, the whole stuff ended up far better than expected. Performing today, I would love you to most especially rate me on this one, I will also love you to join me as we praise the name of our creator. He is always good and his mercies endures forever.

In a special way I appropriate @superjavi for gracing us with such an amazing topic for this week's Open Mic. Our God is all powerful, so powerful that he made time itself. Even though things are yet to become what they should, I believe. I thank him for the ones he has done as well as the ones he is yet to do. It's just a matter of time, my God will do it at his appointed time. This is just the message behind the song "we believe", I hope it impacts greatly on you.

Since the song "we believe" is a freestyle, there are points where I mixed up words. I beg that you see it as me being imperfect, I will become better someday😊. Even though is a freestyle, I will as much as possible try to write down the lyrics below. I beg that you go through it as it will help you understand the message of the song better. I remain @ernesto6402 and I love you all...

Hello my amazing people of God. I am @ernesto6402 and I am happy to once again participate in another week of praise and worship. The lord has been faithful and I magnify his name for all his work. I am really amazed about this week's theme. To respond to the week's theme then, I will be doing a cover of the song deeper in Love by Jude Nnam.

Every Christian needs to be constantly renewed in the lord, that is the major reason why I am greatly in love with this week's theme. It reminds us of about who we are and who we should be. Performing the song "deeper in love today", it more like a personal prayer. I am praying to God that he may deepen my love for him and that I may know him more. There is certainly no form of renewal that can be better than knowing God the more, it is the most important thing for every Christian. I call on every of you then to join me as we say this prayer to our creator.

The song Deeper in love by Jude Nnam is originally an Afro hymn kind of song. Performing that same song today, I will be doing a unique version of it. As much as possible, I will pick up that same song and do something entirely different with it. That notwithstanding, I will ensure that the song do not loose it's originality.

Original Lyrics/Letras originales Chorus/Coro*
Take me(take me) deeper in Love with you Jesus
Take me Deeper in Love
Hold me(hold me) Closer in Love with you Jesus
Hold me Closer in Love with you.

  • 1. Lord there is a longing only you can fill
A raging tempest only you can still
My souls is thirsting for you my God
    God quench my thirst
    Lord feed my soul
    (Go back to Chorus)

  • 2. Yes from sunrise to sunrise I seek your face
From day to day I long for your touch
To hold my hand Lord lest I fall
To draw me nearer, closer to thee
    (Go back to Chorus)

  • 3. In your love is found great faithfulness
Your love is filled with hope and peace
Your love is filled with compassion and joy
O teach me Lord to love you back
    (Go back to Chorus)

Hello hivers. I am @ernesto6402 and this will be my second time of participating in Vibe Web3 Music Competition. For this week, I will be doing an original titled "be calm my soul". The lyrics of the song "be calm my soul was" are quite personal, in fact I wrote them down when I was in my deepest moment. They are for me words of consolation, I hope they be for you too.In a special way I appreciate the moderators for bringing Sam Feldt to the house. It is privilege to have him as one of the judges for this week's competition. I dedicate my today's performance to everyone in the house who is going through one challenge or the other. I pray that your soul may be calm, and that you may experience the peace of God which perfects all understanding. Blessing!

Lyrics Chorus
Be calm my soul
Be calm my soul
What ever it may be
Be calm my soul
Place all your worries
In Christ the Lord
What ever it may be
Be calm my soul X2 *
Verse 1.
He is able to do whatever it is that I am in need of
What ever it may be
Be calm my soul
He is able to calm whatever the storm that troubles my life
What ever it may be
Be calm my soul
(go back to the Chorus) * Verse 2.
Why are you worried with all of these things O my poor soul
Present them to the lord
And be calm my soul
Cause your heavenly father
Will not allow you perish
Present them to the lord
And be calm my soul
(back to the chorus)*

Hello, amazing people of hive open mic. This week is a blessed week and appreciate hive open mic in a special way for finding me worthy to select this week's theme. The mind set behind the theme Traditional Music is to have people present songs that are of their local tradition, it is suppose to help us have encounter with other cultures of the world. Once again I appropriate hive open mic for giving this opportunity.

In this special day of the lord, I will of course be performing a traditional Nigerian song. To be specific, I will doing an Igbo praise tittled "agam aturu chineke mma mma". The tittle can simply be translated as "I will give God praise". This song is not associated to any specific musician as it is a traditional song that is generally used in Igbo churches and homes for worship. I went to YouTube to see if I could find any musician who have at least covered this particular song, but I found non. I guess I will be the first to do that😀.

The genre of music that I will be performing today is know as highlife. Highlife is very popular Afro genre, it is been practiced more in the western part of Africa. It is majorly characterised by sharp lead guitar lines. Since I do not have a lead guitar, I will be using a lead guitar voice from my keyboard alongside recorded accompaniment to cover this amazing song. I just hope you enjoy my performance today.

Early this week I was miraculous saved from a terrible accident, I owe God all the praise. I am as a matter of fact dedicating my performance to God almighty. This is me praising him for his ever faithfulness upon me.

  • Original lyrics/Letras originales
Agam aturu chineke nma nma onyenweanyi imela
  • English Translation
    I will give God praise
For he the lord have done great things
  • Traducción Española
    alabaré a Dios
porque el señor ha hecho grandes cosas

The original song is just a chorus and that is the lyrics above, but for the sake of this performance I will be adding a little freestyle to chorus. I just hope you enjoy my own version of that amazing song.

Hello my beloved family. I am @ernesto6402 and I am happy to once again participate in this week's Afritunes contest. For this week's contest I will be doing a very popular song, I will be doing "you are great" by Steve Crown. This time again I will praising the name of our God and I call on you to join me.Early this week, I miraculously escaped an accident. I took a bike to go pick up an item that was deliver for my office. On my way to the location, the silly bike man drove right into a moving sand truck. Some how I managed to jump off the bike while the truck stop right after hitting down the bike along side the rider. I do not how it happen but I was already across the road when the bike was hit down. Thank God the truck was not on speed, the bike man along side his bike would probably have been crushed. It was so scary that those around asked us to ensure that we go for thanksgiving, that was probably the greatest of God's miraculously work upon my life.

For what the lord have done upon my life, I shall be dedicating my performance this week to his name. I am blessing his name for saving me from such a scary incident and for many other hidden battles he fight for me. I beg then that you join me in praising his name.

Performing today, I will be doing a unique version of the song you are great. Here is what I will be doing: I will pick up that amazing song and do all that is in my power to personalise it. In short, I shall be performing my own version of "you are great" by Steve Crown. I hope you enjoy my performance.

Hello everyone 🤗. I am @ernesto6402 and I welcome you all to week 218 of hive open mic. I appreciate @rosana6 in a very special way for coming up with a theme as amazing as this. For some reason, I have been happy this week. God's goodness and mercy strongly sorounded me and I appreciate him for his ever goodness.

With respect to the week's theme, I will be doing a kind of freestyle for this week's open mic. I am not use to doing music freestyle, but I will be doing it today. I will just go on my keyboard, play a progression and sing what ever comes to mind. At first I thought I would fail, but somehow I was able to produce an amazing song. A song that I have decided to tittle "you be God". Being able to come up with such an amazing song was for me and act of great courage.

Una canción que he decidido titular "you be God".

The title "you be God" is translated to mean you are God. The song can be summarised to mean "you are God, you are not a man. In all, the song "you are God" speaks of God's suprimacy and fact that he is the greatest of all being. In all, it is a song of praise to God. The major language of the song Nigeria Pidgin English with a touch of pure English. I would have given a complete translations of the song, but I certainly cannot since it's a freestyle. Most of lyrics used were not written down. That not withstanding, I will attempt translating a small portion of the song.

Original lyrics/ Letras originalesYou be God you no be man ooo x4
Man fit to fail you but God never fail
Man fit disappoint but God never does that
Cause he is a superior being greater all
And he is madjesty enthroned...English TranslationYou are God you are not a man x4
Man may fail you but God never fails
Man might disappoint but God will never
Cause he is a superior being greater all
And he is madjesty enthroned...Traducción al inglésTú eres Dios, no eres un hombre x4

The lord is good and his mercies endures forever. I am @ernesto6402 and I will be participating in Praise and worship music after a long time of break. I appreciate @stefy.music in a very special way for not only coming up with this amazing initiative, but also for upholding it up till this moment. Even though I might not be recognised by many, I apologize to the house for my absence and promise to not back slid this time.

The theme holiness is really amazing. Our God is the holiest of all being and by implication he is the most good of all existence. With respect to the theme then, I will be doing an amazing freestyle for this week Praise and worship. I will be doing the song "you are good". My performance this week is completely a freestyle. As a matter of fact, every of my lyrics came as I sang. Playing alongside the keyboard then, I will try playing around with few to see if I can come up with an amazing music. In fact, the title you are good came to play after I have performed the song.

The lyrics of the song you are good are not completely known even to me since they were sang as they came right on stage, but I shall be putting down the chorus since it is clear and straight to the point.

Lyrics/LetraYou are good
You are good
You are good
You are goodness personified

Eres bueno
Eres bueno
Eres bueno
Eres la bondad personificada

Hello everyone, I am @ernesto6402 and I will be sharing an event that occurred recently this with us this week. For few weeks now I have not been able to participate in Throw Back Thursday, funny enough one of my reasons for being inactive is the fact that I am almost out of throw backs. Anyways, that is certainly not the only reason. Laziness coupled with the fact that I lost my mobile phone a week before last greatly contributed to my non-activeness. In fact, the event I am about to tell you about had a lot to do with the lost of my phone. The event I am about to tell you about took place on the 25th of May 2024. It was a Saturday morning and I have already taken permission from my boss, I will be going for a wedding. Chinonye (the bride) is a childhood friend of mine and his husband Francis have even become more of a friend than she is. Though he has been in Port Harcourt for just 4 years, but we have bounded so well. It was a wedding I cannot afford to miss. My Parish choir were to cover the wedding Mass, and I certainly cannot afford to be late since I am kind of the choir master. Unlike most other weddings, the bride and the groom were in the Church about 40 minutes before the Mass.

Both the bride and the groom were members of the choir, it was suppose to be the case that we (the choir) give them our best. Five minutes to 10am, I had just 4 Choristers present. The Mass
was to beginning by 10am, and we were suppose to be ready 30 minutes before the Mass. I was unhappy about the behavior of my Choristers, but there was absolutely nothing I can do, I just had to wait for them. Lucky enough, the chief celebrant (the Priest) decided to begin the Mass a little bit late. With that I was able to gather most of my Chorister before time.

After the Mass we went over to the Church open field for the reception proper, the time everybody awaits. Before then, the sky was beyond bright, but it suddenly stop being. Coupled with the fact that we waited for the DJ for over an hour, it all of a sudden began to rain. It rained so heavy that people though the wedding would no longer hold. Truth be told, it was not worth the risk. Since it was a rainy season, the committee (which I am part of) would have chosen the hall; but for some reasons they (we) did not. The rain practically scattered all that has been put together, but we were latter able to conquer the day.

With the coming of the rain, everyone rushed for the closest shelter around. It was an uncompleted hall located right behind the field. Since the main hall was far away, there eventually became the venue for the reception. With time everyone settle down. The party finally got started, and it turned out to be the best I have been to in a long time.

Chinonye's wedding was indeed a fantastic one, but there was one single incident that spoiled my mood at the end of the day; the lost of my phone. It was at the venue of Chinonye's wedding that my phone got lost. Towards the end of the event, I went home to change my cloths as they were entirely messed up by the rain. On getting back to the venue, we (the committee of friends for the wedding) had a little gathering within the hall. On leaving the hall to go for our refreshment, I left my phone at the particular were we discussed. I finally realized that I did not move with my phone, but it was too late. Before I could get back to the venue, it was already far gone. That particular incident completely dented the whole joy of that day for me...

Once again, I am @ernesto6402 and I appreciate you making out time to read through my post. One love✌️

Hello guys. I am @erneto6402 and I am here again for this week's open mic. Due to how busy I was the previous week, I was unable to participate in participate in activities of the community. It was so bad that I couldn't make an entry, but I am good and ready to go for this week.

Hola, chicos.

This week's theme is simply unique, and I appreciate @shemzee in a special way for coming up with that. In response to the theme, I will be doing the song "my hands are filled...". The song in question is a popular Nigerian chorus and I will performing it in a special way today. My hands are filled is speaks of God's boundless goodness upon us his children. Filled with the joy of God's miraculous works upon my life, I will be performing this song today in response to the theme of the week.

The word "wave" completely depict God's grace upon me these few weeks. Simply put, his blessings have been like a wave upon me and my family within these last few days. My hands were indeed filled with the blessing of the lord, and today's performance is more like a testimony. A week before now, I quite my job due to poor salary but somehow the lord did it. I got a better job within two weeks and have resumed fully. Just few days ago, my sister also concluded with her final exams and defended het project in the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. All of these blessings certainly calls for testimony...

I remain @ernesto6402 and I just hope you enjoy my performance. One love ✌️

Sigo siendo @ ernesto6402 y solo espero que disfrutes mi actuación. Un amor ✌️

Not long ago (about three weeks back), I quite my job due to how poor the salary was. But my God never allowed me to stay jobless for too long. I just resumed a new and better work this Monday, and I have to tank for his unending favours. I have always my trust in him and he has never failed me. Hello my amazing family. It me @ernesto6402, and I am here once again for this week's open mic. Participating this week, I will bringing us some Afro vibes. Having said that, I will be doing a very popular afro morning devotion Nigeria praise titled "we bring the sacrifice of praise". Though the song is not originally Afro, but it been performed by different Afro gospel artists, and I will be performing it myself today.

The song "we bring the sacrifice of praise" along side many others are songs that reminds me of my childhood. As a child, I sang these songs every morning in primary and secondary school days. Over here in Nigeria, most schools do morning devotions every morning before classes; mine was not an exception. And these songs for some reason were used specifically for morning devotions.

Given the theme of the week (self love), I dedicate my performance tonight to myself and to my childhood experiences. Distinct from the fact that "we bring the sacrifice of praise" is a gospel song, it is also for me memory. As I perform today then, I celebrate myself and the memories of my early days.

LYRICS
We bring the sacrifice of praise
into the house of the Lord.
We bring the sacrifice of praise
into the house of the Lord.
And we offer up to you
the sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and we offer up to you
the sacrifices of joy.

Traemos el sacrificio de alabanza
a la casa del Señor.
Traemos el sacrificio de alabanza
a la casa del Señor.
Y te ofrecemos
los sacrificios de acción de gracias,
y te ofrecemos
los sacrificios de la alegría.

In responses to the theme of the week, I will be doing a very popular Nigeria praise song titled, "you are God, you are not just big". You are God... is one of the most popular Nigeria makosa praise song, but I will be performing it in a very special way today. I will be doing a typical acoustic version of that lively praise. Originally my song choice for this week's open mic is suppose to be a dance dance kind of song, but I will be doing something unique with that amazing song today. I just hope you guys enjoy it.

The song you are God... was released by a Nigerian Gospel artist Tosin Bee. Up on till now, it is still one of the most popular Nigeria Makosa praise. Though it is simply a Chorus, but beyond being a chorus, it a song that tells about the greatness of God. I choose this amazing song for this week's open mic so as to proclaim how much big my God is and I will urge us to join me in proclaiming his might. He is indeed a great God.

Hello guys. I am @ernesto6402, and I will be participating in this week's Hive open mic after a very long break. For some reasons I have been away for a while now, and I apologise to the house for taking such a long break. Participating once again in this open mic, I will be doing a cover of the song "thanksgiving of amazing grace" by Jude Nnam.

Hola, chicos.

The week's theme is really amazing, and appreciate @mamab for coming up with such an amazing theme. Performing the song "thanking of amazing grace", I offer thanksgiving to God for the grace of humanity. A humanity that was brought to being by his breath. I am thanking for the grace of his spirit in me, my family and my friends. It is his spirit that keeps sustaining us and humanity at large. If he takes away his spirit, we are nothing but mere dust. And so he deserves our unending praise and thanksgiving.

To those who know the song amazing grace by Jude Nnam, you will be hearing an entirely different version of that wonderful song today. Originally, the song "thanksgiving of amazing grace" is an afro choral kind of song, but I will be doing an entirely new version of the song today. First, I will try as much as possible to make the song look less afro. Thus, I will be performing with no percussion of any form. Accompanied by just acoustic piano voice from the keyboard, I shall be doing an acoustic version of the song today.

Hello my wonderful Afritunes family, I am @ernesto6402 and I will be participating in this week's Afritunes contest. It have really been a while, I have for so many reasons not being active on Afritunes and I really apologize to the house for that. Coming back today, I will be doing a cover of the popular Nigeria praise titled "I have a very big God who is always by my side".I have a very big God is a song known to all, but I will be doing a unique version of that same song today. With regards to my version, I will be performing that amazing song with no percussion of any form. But yet, I will ensure that it does not loose its Afro feel. To ensure that I achieve this, I will not be doing an acapella, I will be accompanying the performance with an acoustic guitar voice from the piano dualed with xylophone.

The inspiration behind my performance this week is simply thanksgiving. We can't praise the name of the lord enough since his mercies never end. If God is to count our imperfections, it's certainly the case that our lives will seaze and that is what I am talking about. Even in my imperfections, he is always standing by me. He has never let us down, and that is why I will continue praising his name.

Hello my fellow music lovers. I am @ernesto6402 and I am here again for this week's Afritunes contest. The week we have been a bit stressfull but that certainly will not stop me from being a part of this week's contest. Participating in this week's contest, I will be bringing us my favorite hymn. I will be bring us an ancient hymn tittled "it is well with my soul".The lyrics of this beautiful was written by Philip Bliss who said to have all he have got including his family to a ship collision. Notwithstanding the challenges of the time, Philip Bliss never lost hope in God. He was a Job of his time. My entry today is geared towards encouraging each and everyone of us. Though many of us have got so much reason to give up, but we keep holding on to God; that is the spirit, that is the course of our Christian faith and we must not deviate from it. If it the case that you have come to the point where you no longer see reason to even believe in God then meditate on the words of this amazing as well as the situation in which the writer found himself before coming up with this wonderful lyrics. We must get through every of our problem, but we really need God...

LYRICS
When peace like a river attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
"It is well, it is well with my soul."

It is well with my soul;
it is well, it is well with my soul...

Hello hivers. It your usual boy @ernesto6402 and I am happy to be here once again. First I appreciate @rico.csirait. for presenting with the theme "who is missed" for this week hive open mic. With regards to the theme, I will be doing the song amazing grace this week. The song I have chosen for this week is not just an amazing hymn. It is for me memory. It is a song that remains about my early music days, my days of hymnals and classical music. My musical journey began with a Choral group called "gentle seraph", a group that is complete associated with hymnals. As at that time "Amazing grace was one of my favorite. I have missed that of musical life, and I will be doing song in memory of those days.

Amazing Grace is no doubt an amazing song, it is a song that reminds us as Christian about the love God. Though we do not deserve his love but he is the most loving, the most fatherly and the most caring. To show how much he loved us, God gave his best for us. He gave his only son for our salvation. Beyond the fact that I have missed my early music life as well as my music group, my entry this week is geared toward reminding every christian in the house about the message of our salvation. I remain @ernesto6402, and I sincerely appreciate you for visiting and reading through my post. One Love ✌️

Lyrics
Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believe...

Hello guys. After a long time I finally will be posting again on hive open mic today. I am @ernesto6402 and I apologize for staying away for this long. Things have really been tough, so tough that I bearly had time for myself these few month.https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/ernesto6402/23xVCTApJ1KZYW8zTRedqJW3tGQ1hKBKMVZXc6ByLaWw1GoYhqQybHcvt1dKkB3Q4oufv.webpMusic in itself is an art. Just like the poet uses the ink of his pen to bring imagination to reality, the music is capable using his voice or musical instrument to do same. All one need to do is to bring the world of his imagination to being. With reference to today's theme, I want to be a little bit creative, I want to do something I have never done. Today I will doing an Afro Combo. It will be a combination of few popular afro music. First I will be beginning with People by Libianka, after taking just a chorus I will move over to the chorus of Nobody by Joeboy, after taking a Chorus, I will go om with the Chorus of Power Ranger by Teni. To round up the song, I will conclude with My Friend by Jonny Drill himself. It might sound funny but I think it will be really interesting. My performance today will be a complete acapella, I just hope you enjoy it. Once again I am @ernesto6402, thank you for reading up to the end. One Love ✌️

Hello Guys. How is the week going. I trust it going on well you. Participating in this weeks Afritunes contest, I will be bringing us "Power Ranger" by Teni. I am a big fan of Teni, I love her style of music, I love her energy and I love the fact that she is good at what she does. "Power Ranger" is my favorite among Teni's song and I will be performing it my own way today, I just hope you enjoy it. What interest me the most about "Power Ranger" is the idea behind the song, the idea of fighting for love. Even though the storyline of "Power Ranger" seems to be dramatic at some point, the fact still remains that it portrays an important message.

Original the Song "Power Ranger" is a lively afro beat song, but I will be doing something quite different from the original. I will be removing the beat as I will be doing an acapella version. I will also tamper with the timing of the song a bit, and that will result to me slowing down the tempo of the song. For the purpose of my own version, I may at some point tamper with lyrics of the song a bit, please forgive me if you are Teni's fan😜

Doing this amazing song today, I am affirming alongside Teni that love is worth fighting for. And so I dedicate this to lovers in the house and to those who love from a distance, it's time to fight for the people we love. I remain your boy @ernesto6402 and I am happy to be a part of this week's contest. One Love ✌️

Hello guys. For a long time now I have not been able to make any post here on Afritunes, and this is due to how busy I have become these days. Man have to survive, and we must do all we can to. The year is gradually moving ahead, we have almost spent one quarter of the year and we have the almighty to tank for his grace so far. Nigeria have not been easy, but we will continue struggling. We are giving up no matter what happens, and we believe God will never forsake us. Today, I will be doing the song Ordinary People by Cobhams. In the words of Cobhams, being an ordinary person is all it takes to make the world a better place. Only an ordinary person can allow him/herself live in the way of God, and these persons are capable of extraordinary things. If it be case that Nigerians will allow themselves become ordinary persons we will most likely have the best Nigeria we have ever dreamt about. If it be the cases that leaders along side the masses will develop a change of heart then we will have the best country ever. God bless Nigerian, but most importantly, God help Nigeria😔. I remain your boy @ernesto6402. One love ✌️

Lyrics
A child in the distance playing in the rain
Sweet sound of water flowing away
Construction workers coming home from work
The Parent and their children going to church
Happy little baby drools on your shirt
What an extraordinary dayLet us have a world of ordinary people
Living life the way God wants us to
If we have a world of ordinary people
Extraordinary things will happen through me and you
Ordinary Abraham he was just a man
He would kill his son for the prize of a lamb
Sweet little Jesus ordinary child
And let us consider ordinary Job
Who lost it all but in God had his hope
Ordinary David the little sharped boy
Brought down the lion with a stone and a toy
Sweet little Jesus ordinary child
The carpenters first son humble and mild
If anybody told you he would be Messiah
Probably you will laugh it off I know ooo

So let us have a world of ordinary people
Living life the way God wants us to
If we have a world of ordinary people
Extraordinary things will happen through me and you...

Hello Guys. How is the week going, I hope it's going on well with you. It's your boy @ernesto6402 and I am here again with my usual vibes. Being here for this week's contest, I will be doing a very popular song but in a different and unique way. I will be doing "Iyawo mi" by Timi Dakolo. "Iyawo mi" by Dakolo is wonderful high-life song with palm wine grove kind of vibe. The nature of the song is best suitable for traditional wedding. Doing that beautiful song here on Afritunes today, I will be doing an acapella version of it. Beyond the acapella thing, I will as much as possible do away with the high-life nature of that beautiful song. I just want to create a unique version of that beautiful song and I hope you enjoy it.ORIGINAL LYRICS
Like an angel in the morning
Shooting star across the night
The most beautiful girl I've seen in all my lifeEvery second spent with you is like a day that starts brand new
Girl I'm so amazed at all the things you do
Yes I wanna build my whole world around you
So I promise you forever and for always
Girl you are my sunshine baby don't you go away

Iyawo mi
Ololufe mi
Ore mi
Alayo mi
I will love you forever
Iyawo mi
Ololufe mi
Ore mi
Alayo mi
I will love you forever

I hear music in your words
And in the way you call my name
When you're by my side I can't do anything
You're my best friend
You're my lover
Without you no one else will do
Through thick and thin I know we'll make it through
Yes I wanna build my whole world around you
So I promise you forever and for always
Girl you are my sunshine baby don't you go away

Iyawo mi
Ololufe mi
Ore mi
Alayo mi
Say I will love you forever
Iyawo mi
Ololufe mi
Ore mi
Alayo mi
I will love you forever

My baby my baby
You are my sunshine
My lover my essence

Hello my favourite people. I am happy to be here again for this week's open mic. I am you usually boy @ernesto6402, and I am here with a joyful heart to be part of this week's open mic. Special appreciation to @isbelhiv02 for this unique and wonderful theme which he made available for this week's open mic.

This week's theme (“Your Lights Upon Me”) is a unique one. The fact that it's speaks about light causes to explore different dimension. In my attempt to interpret this week's theme, I will liken light to friendly, affectionate and kind people around us. These people in the words of Cobham are like angles, always around us. The fact that they are around drives away what ever fear we must have had; their kindness and affection are like "light upon us".

Participating in this week's contest, I will be doing the song "Angels all around" by Cobham. Angel all around is a song that reminds us of the fact that angels are not just celestial being in heaven. It's reminds us that angels are all around us. These angels are good, tender and king hearted people who are always there to guild us through the challenges of life. They are like light with which we see. They are always their to comfort us when the challenges of life go hard on us. It is very important that we acknowledge the presence of these angels, and that's the main purpose of my post here today.

Participating in this week's open mic, I dedicate my performance to every angel out their. I dedicate this performance to every of you who have being an angel to me or to any human person. For obvious reasons, the world will become a better place if we all become angels to ourselves. The world will become a better place if we all become light upon each other. And so, I call on you to become a light to your closest neighbour and to humanity at large. One love

Hello my beautiful family. It's me @ernesto6402 and I am here again for this week's contest. The lord has been good and we ought to praise him with all that we've got. The previous year was never easy, but we got through it with the help of the almighty. Towards the end of the previous year(2023), I successfully completely my NYSC. The services was simply not funny, but I thank the almighty for seeing me through. Beyond my regular PPA, I served as both the CLO of my local government and my CDS president. For ex-corpers in the house, you should how impossible that is. For some reason, my local government inspector (Mr Tefer) insisted that I remain my CDS president while he appointed me as the CLO. It was a whole lot of work, but I thank God for seeing through it. Performing here on Afritunes today, it is for me an opportunity to praise God for his unending blessings. With that being said, I will be doing the song Mercy by Moses Bliss. The song Mercy reminds us of how much dependent we are on God. It reminds us of how worthless we are without his Grace. Performing this special song on this special day, I acknowledge the grace of God upon my life. I acknowledge the fact that his grace carried me from the beginning of my service year up to the end, I acknowledge the fact that his grace successfully brought me into brown new year. In all ramification, God has been faithful and we cannot just praise him enough.
As I perform in this week's Afritunes contest, I call on everyone of you viewing my post to join me as we acknowledge the grace of God upon our lives. God has been faithful and we cannot overemphasize his goodness and mercy upon our life. Thank you so much as we do this together. I remain your boy @ernesto6402. One love ✌️

I could have fallen by the wayside
But You are always there to help me (Repeat)

Lord, I’m amazed by how you’ve shown me Mercy!
Chineke M’oh (My God), thank you for your Mercy (Repeat)

(From the Top)

Hello my favourite people. It've been a while and I am really sorry for that. Coupled with the fact that I have been really busy these past few weeks, I was also held down by sickness at some point and that really affected my activeness on hive at large. That notwithstanding, I am back and ready to do what I love doing the most.

First and foremost, kudos to @samuelstifen for presenting with this version wonderful theme. The most amazing thing about this week's theme is the fact that it goes completely in line with the season and time. Once again, thank you so much @samuelstifen for this wonderful theme.

It is the end of the year and it is the Christmas season all at the same time😀. With that being said, I will be doing the song "O come all ye faithful" for this week's hive open mic. The first reason behind my choice of song is the fact that it is a Christmas song; the fact that it alines with the season. The second reason behind this choice of mine is the fact that it is a song that calls us to praise the name of our our newly born Lord and God. As we celebrate the season then, I remind us about the importance of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving for the grave of another Christmas and most likely another year.

The song "O come all ye faithful" is a popular and simple ancient hymn by John F. Wade with about four verses. That notwithstanding, I will be doing a two versed version of this beautiful song. And I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you. One love ✌️

Original Lyrics
Verse 1
Oh, come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant!
Oh, come ye, oh come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold him,
Born the King of angels;Oh, come, let us adore him;
Oh, come, let us adore him;
Oh, come, let us adore him,
Christ, the Lord.

Verse 2
Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation;
Sing, all ye citizens of heav’n above!
Glory to God,
Glory in the highest;

Verse 3
Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to thee be all glory giv’n.
Son of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing;

Good morning and happy Christmas my wonderful family. It's been a while. Coupled with my busy schedule these past few weeks, I have not been feeling so well, and that really affected my activeness on Afritunes and on hive at large. That notwithstanding, I am back and ready to do what I love doing.Beyond the fact that it is the Christmas season, we are gradually driving to the end of the year. And it is a time that we ought to praise the name of our God. He has been good, and we ought to praise him at least for leading us up to this point.

I was unable to celebrate this year's Christmas like the other past ones. I saw food but could not eat. I saw meat but could not even touch it. Me that don't joke with meat normally! Malaria do me something sha😔. It sound's funny right? Yes. Absolutely. But I am only complaining because I could not celebrate on the Christmas day while alive, but there are those who are dead; they absolutely saw no Christmas day to celebrate. It is a thing of joy that I am alive today, already recovered and ready to go about my usual live. I cannot praise God enough but I am gonna still appreciate him for his goodness and kindness upon soul in my own little way. God is good and may his name be praised for ever. Amen!

On this very special week of Afritunes contest, I will be doing an original song titled "Nature's Praise". Nature's Praise is an interesting song that describes how even nature praise the name of the lord. If nature can praise the name of her creator then why can't we. Why can't we praise the one who made us in his own image. Having said all of these, I invite you to join every of God's beautiful creature in praising his name. Praise him for he is God and Shepard of your soul.

The song nature's praise is a very simple gospel song with two verses and I bet you will certainly enjoy it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. One love ✌️

LYRICS
You spoke to the wind
And it harkened to your Voice
Cause you are the lord
And you are the king of kingsYou stepped on the sea
And it became a solid ground for you
Cause you are the lord
And you are the king of kings

Mother nature bow before your throne
Cause you are her maker
And there is no other king like you

So I would bow in adoration to your lord
And I would raise my joyous voice in praise
And I would song hossana to the God of creation
Cause there is no other king like you

Even the birds sing your praise lord
And the trees wave to your name
And the mighty trees dances before you
Cause you made all things right

So I would bow in adoration to your lord
And I would raise my joyous voice in praise
And I would song hossana to the God of creation
Cause there is no other king like you

Hello guys. How have the week been? Hope everything is going on well with you. It's your usual boy ernesto6402. The week has been really tight for me and that certainly affected my activeness on hive. At some point, I doubted the possibility of me being able to perform on hive open mic this week. I thank that I am able to finally make it to this week's open mic.

Hola, chicos.

The theme my perception is a very unique one and I appreciate @gemafreya1234 in a very special way for coming up with that. That being said, I will be responding to that beautiful theme with the song Coat of Many Colours by Dolly Parton.

Every human person have a unique way he/she perceive things. These perceptions are as a result of one status, lifestyle, privileges, immediate environment, friends, family and so on. In short, there are multiple things that influence our perception as individuals and that's we are unique in ourselves.

Being a poor child from a humble family, Dolly Parton (in her song: Coat of Many Colours) perceived life differently from every other child that was in her school. Putting on the cloth of many colour that was made of rags by her mother, Dolly Parton felt she was the most dressed among the students. She believed her cloth of many colour worth more than every of their cloth, and that simply was a perception.

Doing this wonderful song this week, I wish first to shear the story of the poor little Dolly Parton with you guys. I also wish to shear my perception of humanity with you guys. For the sake of humanity, love is all that matters. The poor little Dolly Parton had lots of love inside of her. It was love that made her cherish a cloth that was made of rags by her mother. It was the love that made her took her time to tell the story behind her cloth of many colour to the same students who laughed at her. It was all love. And if the student had as much love as she had in them, they would not have laughed at her. As parents and guidances, we've got to start teaching love to our kids. Just like said earlier, love is all that matter.

Original Lyrics
Back through the years I go wanderin' once again
Back to the seasons of my youth
I recall a box of rags that someone gave us
And how my momma put the rags to useThere were rags of many colors
But every piece was small
And I didn't have a coat
And it was way down in the fall

Momma sewed the rags together
Sewin' every piece with love
She made my coat of many colors
That I was so proud of

As she sewed, she told a story
From The Bible, she had read
About a coat of many colors
Joseph wore and then she said

"Perhaps this coat will bring you
Good luck and happiness"
And I just couldn't wait to wear it
And momma blessed it with a kiss

My coat of many colors
That my momma made for me
Made only from rags
But I wore it so proudly

Although we had no money
Oh, I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colors
My momma made for me

So with patches on my britches
And holes in both my shoes
In my coat of many colors
I hurried off to school

Just to find the others laughing
And making fun of me
And my coat of many colors
My momma made for me

And oh I couldn't understand it
For I felt I was rich
And I told them of the love
My momma sewed in every stitch

And I told 'em all the story
Momma told me while she sewed
And how my coat of many colors
Was worth more than all their clothes

But they didn't understand it
And I tried to make them see
That one is only poor
Only if they choose to be

Now I know we had no money
But I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colors
My momma made for me
Made just for me

HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 176|THEME:GRATITUDE:ORIGINAL SONG (GRATITUD)

I am much excited to have been given the opportunity to choose the theme of the week. The truth is that I have been away for quite a while, first Malaria and Typhoid held me down for about two weeks. Getting back on my feet after two week, my device crashed. And till now, I am still struggling with getting a device. THE REASON BEHIND THE THEME GRATITUDE The reason behind the theme Gratitude is simply because I owe a lots of people. I cannot tell my success story without pointing at individuals who have made sacrifices to see that I grow to this stage. And so, I dedicate this theme as well as my entry for the week to each and everyone one of you that have in one way or the other contributed to my growth both on hive and outside of hive.

MY GRATITUDE My being on hive would definitely have not being possible if @ksam haven't introduced me to this wonderful community. Apart from the fact that I was introduced to hive by @ksam, he also played a very important role in my musical life outside of hive. And so I appreciate in a very special way for being my mentor, my boss and teacher. I also appreciate my very good friend @magicfingerz: I owe my keyboard skills and many more to you bro. In a special way, I appreciate my two siblings @brendantochukwu and @eugenia7499; their support is part of what got me to this level and I grateful for that. I also appreciate each and everyone of you who have making beautiful comments on my post. I appreciate the likes of @wizj, @mhizerbee, @jesuslnrs, @chidistickz, @mayorkeys, @rorykl, @rukkie, @donirosayandi, @oladayo1, @nathcy, @gemafreya1234 and so many others. In all sincerity, I can never pay you guys for what I owe.

MY ENTRY FOR THE WEEK In line with the theme of the week, I will be doing an original song titled Gratitude. The song gratitude is simply a song of appreciation, and just like I have already mentioned, I am dedicating it to everyone of you who have contributed to my growth on hive and beyond. The song gratitude is a simple English song with two verses and a chorus. I would have loved to accompany this song with the keyboard, but for some unavoidable reasons, I will be doing an acapella version.

CONCLUSION Once again, I am highly amazed to have being behind the theme of this week; and I thank each and everyone of that have contributed to my growth up to this level. Lastly, I thank God almighty for his grace and kindness. I love you all...

Lyrics

For all the things you've done for me

Both secretly and openly

O yes I know

I cannot pay it all

And so I come with gratitude

To appreciate all of your kindness

To me Gratitude is all have

To give you for all you have done

I've got no money

To give x2

You've been there in all of my hustle

You have always watch back

O yes I know

I owe you lots

And so I promise you dear friend

I will always stand by you

Till the journey end

Gratitude is all have

To give you for all you have done

I've got no money

To give x2

It’s another week of hive open mic, and we are here again. Getting to see War as the theme of the week, the first thing that came to my mind was Nigeria my Country. Yes! Nigeria has been at war since I was born. But obviously not the usual war you know. It’s the kind of war Asa portrayed in her song “fire on the mountain”. A war that people take for granted, yet it the most deadly of all war. Few days ago I was deliberating with my friend @ddn688 on how bad Nigerian Government has gone. We can practically speak of today’s Nigeria as a country owned by few individuals who keep mismanaging her economy, and these individuals don’t want to let go. They want to keep embezzling the resources of our father land, and that we are not ready to allow. Allow me to tell you few things about my Country Nigeria. We are not in an actual war, but yet the Fulani Heads Men are able to kill almost every member of a whole village over disputes on Cows and farm lands. This has occurred numerously is so many communities of the country, but yet the Nigerian government practically do nothing about it. We are not in an actual war but yet Nigerian government openly shoots at her citizens for peaceful protests. We are not in an actual war yet each administration from when I was born till date (with the exception of Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who died two years after he was elected) kept on dropping the value of Nigeria economy. I can go on and on. But then...

Source

Today as part of my contribution to week’s theme and also the ongoing better Nigerian revolution, I will be doing an original song titled Our Prayer. We believe in a better Nigeria, and so we raise our voices in prayer for that. We believe that we shall finally win this war against bad governance and god fatherism, and so we raise our voices in prayer for that. We believe that there shall be a generation where election shall be free and fair, and so we raise our voices in prayer for that.

The song Our Prayer is a solemn and spirit filled song. It’s written in Nigeria Pidgin English, and it’s simply a prayer for Nigeria. I will drop the English translation along side the song below, and I wish you pray along with me and my fellow Nigerians because we need all the prayers we can get at this point. I appreciate @jasperdick for this wonderful theme of the week. And I am sorry for bordering you all with my Country’s problem. I love you all✌️.

Hello my lovely hive open mic family. It’s your boy ernesto6402 and I am here again for this week hive open mic. It has been a while and sincerely apologize to the community for been away for about three weeks. Coming back on this week hive open mic, I am so amazed about the topic of the week. The very fact that it brings children to the picture makes it a theme that can take numerous interpretation. I sincerely appreciate @aly.squid for bringing such a wonderful theme to us this week.

Getting to know about the theme of the week, the first song that came to my head was an old song of mine tittle Prodigal Son. For those who have started thinking far, is not the Prodigal son in the Bible ooo😏. In fact it is not a Christian song, it is just the story of a young man who failed to listen to the instructions of his father. Coming back to the foot of his father after he must have gone contrary to his instructions; he cried bitterly about his failure, asked for forgiveness and gave the search for a better life as a reason for his mistake.

The song Prodigal Son displays the whole idea of parental guidance and childhood mistakes. Making mistake even after warnings from parents is very prominent in children. And parents on the other hand have to always deal with letting go of children mistakes even after they must have warned them against it. And that is the message the song Prodigal Son is trying to convey.

Originally, the song Prodigal Son was suppose to be an Afro-vibe kind of song; it was suppose to be a complete Fuji. But for the purpose of this presentation, I will be soloing the song with no instrumentals of any kind. That notwithstanding, I still hope you enjoy the Fuji vibes that are embedded in the song.

The song Prodigal Son was written in English with just two Yoruba words Ejo and Baba mi. Ejo is translated to mean please in English while Baba mi simply means my father.

LYRICS

Oh papa

Baba mi

Papa ooo

I have come to learn

The hard way papa ooo

Pls forgive me and let the past be in past

Ooo papa your son is down on his kneel

You told me these things before they came, but I never payed attention!

You saw all these things and you warned me, but I was so young and reckless

Oh my papa ejooo

I was searching better life

I thought I would make the family proud

I have been beaten by the sun I beaten by the rain

But I am back on my kneel oh my papa ejoo

I was searching for a better life

I thought I could make the family proud

I was just confused by your posture you said those words to me

I was standing on the mountain but you were just sitting bellow

And went searching for a better life

I thought I would make the family proud

I have beaten by the sun I have been beaten the rain

But I am back on my kneel oh my papa ejoo

I was just searching for a better life

I thought I could make the family proud

Hello my wonderful family! It’s your boy ernesto6402 and I am here again on this week’s hive open mic. Responding to this week’s topic, I will be doing an original song titled “the stranger girl”. Before I continue, Let me seize this opportunity to applaud @jmis101 for this wonderful theme. It is really a wonderful theme and I appreciate you so much for that. The stranger girl is simply a story of a young man who fell in love with a new girl in the neighborhood. A girl he only saw once through his window. Finally meeting the girl, he proposed his feelings to this new stranger girl hoping that she will accept him.Funny enough, he was already calling the stranger girl his ife (his love), and he believes that he would lose his life if he is refused by this pretty stranger. It’s an interesting love story which can either end in happy ever after or tragedy for the young; but notwithstanding, the young man in deeply in love and in hope he believes the girl will come to accept him.

The stranger girl is a mixture of Pure English and the Nigerian Pidgin English. While most part of it were written in English, the chorus which is about four lines was arranged in Nigeria Pidgin English. In the chorus which is written in pidgin English, the lover boy who called the stranger girl his ife affirmed the possibility of him losing his life if the girl refuses him.

Lyric
One faithful morning
Was just looking through my window
I saw o baby from afar
But I couldn’t meet up with you

But right there I fell you baby
So deeply I cannot explain it
But I know it’s real
And I know it’s true

Since the day that I saw you baby
I have never been my self again
But I know it’s real
And I know it’s true

Ife mi my heart beat ooo
If no gree me I fit kpi x2

Oh stranger girl
You have stolen my heart away you don’t even know

You have stolen my heart away you don’t even know

You are stock in my head
And I cannot let you go baby

You have stolen my heart away you don’t even know

People say I am running crazy
For loving a stranger girl baby

You have stolen my heart away you don’t even know

You might be a stranger to this neighborhood
You might a new girl to every other person
But to me you are my ife

You have stolen my heart away you don’t even know

Ife mi my heart beat ooo
If no gree me I fit kpi x2

Few moths ago, I made a free style of a song by the Nigerian musician Joeboy. The tittle of the song is don’t call me back, and my aim was to creat a completely different version of the song. Taking away the beat of the song, I gave it an acoustic feel using my piano voice on the keyboard. But then, I never tempered with the original progression. For my lyrics, I decided not to tamper with the original language of the song (the song in question was written in Nigeria); instead, I gave a completely different lyrics without tampering with the message nor the language of the writer. My lyrics weren’t initially composed since the whole idea was to see how far I can go just free-styling, and it really turned out well.Originally, don’t call me back is a lively and danceable Afro-beat. But after working on it, I was able to produce a mild and soft going version of the same song. I would be posting both the original and my own version, and I would love to get your beautiful reactions.

ORIGINAL LYRICS

If I give you love my head no correct
Joe, Joe, Joeboy 'pon deck

I am ernesto6402 and I am here again for another week of hive open mic. The theme of the week is a highly interesting one; for me, it is a call for all artists in the community to bring fort their contributions. As a musicians and a lover of art, I see this week as a crucial week. Having said that I will be bringing on of my original songs the house. The song I will be presenting for this week’s hive open mic is an interesting Christian gospel worship song with no tittle yet. It’s a song I am still working on and I need you guys to give me constructive comments; most importantly, I need suggestions on what the best tittle could be for this very song🙏. I love you guys and I remain your boy ernesto6402.

LYRICS
You spoke to the wind
And it harkened to your voice
Cause you are the lord
Cause you are the king of all

You stepped on the sea
And it became a solid a ground for you
Cause you are the lord
Cause you are the kind of kings

Mother Nature bow before your thrown cause you are her maker
And there is no other being like you

So I would bow in adoration to you lord
And I will raise my joyous voice in praise
And I will sing hosanna
To the God of creation
Cause there is no other being like him x2

Even the birds sings you praise lord
And the trees wave to your name
And the mighty sea dances before you
Cause you made all things right

So I would bow in adoration to you lord
And I will raise my joyous voice in praise
And I will sing hosanna
To the God of creation
Cause there is no other being like him x2

Hello Aftrirtunes! It’s your boy ernesto6402 and I will be taking you on praise session today. But before I go on with that, I have a testimony to make😎.Within Sunday to today being Wednesday, there has been a little tension in my place of NYSC. For those who don’t know what NYSC is all about, it is a national youth service scheme for Nigerian graduates. Now let me explain the tension I was talking about. The Fulani heads men are well known for their numerous attacks and killings in Nigeria, but notwithstanding the nation keeps tolerating them for some reason unknown to her citizens. I serve in Benue state, the same state that is well known for the mass burial once organized by her governor after heads men killed hundreds of her citizens. Irrespective of the mass burial, there have always been unpublished news of killings going on in rural parts of this same state. Early this week [on Sunday to be precise], there was a little crash between the locals of the community where I serve and the heads men. There was news of four missing cows. For those who are aware of how the Fulanis operate, you will agree with me that these four cows are equivalent to four human beings. Yes! they care for their cows more than any other thing. Hearing the news alone, the environment became tensed. We could smell fear all over, and we had to vacate the place before things goes out of hand. As it is now I am in the Makudi the state capital because I love my life🤪. I might I have joked about it, but it’s really not a joking matter and it’s really necessary to give God praise for always protecting and keeping me away from dangers.

Having said all of these, I am seizing this opportunity to thank God with this original song of mine tittle lord thank you. Most times we really don’t deserve his blessings and protections, but he keeps being there for us. So I will be offering this songs of praise to him for my life. I just hope you enjoy it as you along with me. I love you all🥰

LYRICS
For the life that you gave
And the bread on our table
Lord thank you
Lord thank you

For your love and your care
And your presence in our life
Lord thank you
Lord thank you

You are God you are King
You are greater than all being
And yet you became a man
To save our soul and our being

You are majesty enthroned
You are eternally kind
And yet you came down to us
To be our brother and friend

Lord thank you
Lord thank you
Lord thank you
Lord thank you

What did I do to deserve thee
What did I do to loved by a kind so mighty
Who through his servant split the ocean
And took a walk upon the mighty sea

Lord thank you
Lord thank you
Lord thank you
Lord thank you

You are God you are King
You are greater than all being
And yet you became a man
To save our soul and our being

You are majesty enthroned
You are eternally kind
And yet you came down to us
To be our brother and friend

Lord thank you
Lord thank you
Lord thank you
Lord thank you

Hello Afritunes! It’s your boy @ernesto6402 and I am here again for this weeks Afritunes contest. For this weeks contest, I will be doing an original song tittled Scam.
The song Scam is just the cry of a heart broken man. A man who was left with no option than to no long believe in love after his terrible experience. For him, Love na scam😒.Originally, scam is suppose to be an AfroJazzy kind of song but due to lack of instrumentals and some other challenges, I will be doing an acapella version of this beautiful song This week.

The song Scam for me is nothing personal. As a matter of fact, I believe in love. But drawing inspiration from what many people think about love, I came about this beautiful song. Having said that, I am not heart broken ooo, is just ordinary song. Before somebody will go and be consoling me😀.

This is @ernesto6402, and I am here again with my usual vibes. With respect to this week's Afri-tunes contest, I will be doing the Nigerian gospel Glorious God by Elijah Oyelade.
The song glorious God is a song of praise, and having passed through so many personal trying experiences these early stage of the year, I found it highly important to praise the name of the lord for his good works in my life. Having said that, I simply ask that you join me as I worship the name of the lord here today. Thank you so, and I hope you enjoy the worship section

ORIGINAL LYRICS

Hello Hiver!
With respect to this week's hive open mic, I will be doing the song Be alright by the Nigerian contempory highlife singer PC Lapez. Be Alright unlike PC Lapez's other songs is no high-life; instead, it is a mild acoustic song.

This week's topic as opined by @sleemfit is a very wonderful one. With respect to some personal challenges I faced within these early stage of the year, I have no option than to look at brighter days ahead; I have no option than to encourage myself with words of hope. The team Glory definitely give me hope, it reminds me that there are glorious days before me. Having said that, I will be joining my voice with that of PC Lapez to encourage myself and every other person facing one challenge or the other. We ought not to worry; instead, let's be happy😊! Every thing will definitely be alright.

I will practically be doing a freestyle here. Thus, I will not be singing exactly the same thing with PC Lapez. I just hope you are alright after listening to this wonderful song. One love ✌️.

LYRICS
Let's make a wish
Close our eyes and count to five
Everything is gonna be alright

Let's make a wish
Close our eyes and count to five
Everything is gonna be alright

Uh Uh Uh everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright

Uh Uh Uh everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright

Tell you mama tell you papa
Make them chill
Everything go beta ooo
Everything is gonna be alright

Things are the way they use to be
But make you chill
Everything go beta ooo
Everything is gonna be alright

Hello Afritunes! Today we will be going spiritual😀. Together with my very good friend Chinonso, we will be bringing a very purpular ancient Catholic Igbo Hymn to the house. We will be presenting the song Uche Chukwu by Jude Nnam.

When I said we will be going spiritual, I completely meant it😀. Instead of singing the usual Igbo hymn, we will be doing an entirely different version of the song. Thus, we shall be converting this wonderful song to an uplifting Nigerian worship. I just hope you enjoy our own version of the song sha.

Hello Hivers!
This is your boy ernesto6402. For the purpose of this week's hive open mic, I will be presenting a very interesting song by tittle I WANT TO BE LIKE JESUS IN MY HEART by The Blind Lemon Jefferson**.

I Want to be like Jesus in my heart is an ancient Christian song that sends a very crucial message to every Christian in the world. Being a Christian, it is to me a reminder of who I should be to the world.

Source
This week's hive open mic encourages artists to bring "whatever music feels inspired in the moment" to the table. Following with that, I will be doing a unique version of Lemon Jefferson's song. To archive this, I would also be needing some help from my very good friend Ifeanyi. I just hope you guys enjoy what we got to offer.

Hello hive Afritunes! This is @ernesto6402. For the purpose of this week's contest, I will be doing a very popular hymn titled amazing grace.

The song Amazing Grace is one of the first hymn I can across as a young chorister. And beyond being the first, it was one of my best. Amazing till date remains a song of consolation for me. It is a song that remains of God's perfect love.

Source

The original amazing grace by John Newton is a classical hymn with about seven verses. But for the sake of my own version, I will not be taking hymnal version of the **amazing grace I will be taking only the first and second verse of the original song.

LYRICS
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun

Hello hivers and all African music lovers in the house! This is your boy @ernesto6402 and I will be participating in the Afri-tunes contest this week. For this week, I will be doing a very popular Nigerian gospel song Capable God by Judykay.

Capable God by Judykay is originally a lively Nigerian high-life praise. But instead of doing something similar to the original, I will be taking to a worship section this week.

Uh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Capable God o

What can't you do?

What won't you do?

Nothing impossible

Nothing impossible

What can't you do?

What won't you do?

Nothing impossible with our God

You do not lie

You do not fail

What is hard for you to do?

It doesn't exist oh

It can never ever exist oh

You do not lie

You do not fail

What is hard for you to do?

It doesn't exist oh

It can never ever exist oh

According to your knowledge and your will for me

What you say you have done

I just need to align oh

Because you are not a man that changes your mind oh

Those that know you will trust in you

Not in Horses and chariots

By the arm of flesh

No man can prevail

No man, No man

No man, No man

My confidence is you

What is hard?

What is hard for you?

It can never exist oh

You do not lie

You do not fail

What is hard for you to do?

It doesn't exist oh

It can never ever exist oh

You do not lie

You do not fail

What is hard for you to do?

To do ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

It can never ever exist oh

Those that know you will trust in you

Not in Horses and chariots

By the arm of flesh

No man can prevail

Ask Abraham and Sarah

And the Woman with the issue of blood oh

Nothing nothing hard for you-you-you-you

(Ask Mama Hannah)

Ask Mama Hannah oh

Blind Bartimaeus

Make you go ask the Israelites

Absolutely nothing hard for you

No man, no man, no man

My confidence is you

What is hard?

What is hard for you? It can never exist oh

You do not lie

You do not fail

What is hard for you to do?

It doesn't exist oh

It can never ever exist oh

You do not lie

You do not fail

What is hard for you to do?

It doesn't exist oh

It can never ever exist oh

No no no no no

Capable God oh oh

Hello Hivers! This is @ernesto6402; and for this week's hive open mic, I will be doing COAT OF MANY COLORS BY DOLLY PARTON.

Source

Coat of many colors is a song that reminds me alot about my background. It remains me about my family, the hard times and the moral lessons they came along with. In respect to the week's topic then, I will be doing this beautiful song for the love of my family😊

My interpretation of the song might be quite different from the original. I will be doing a reggae version of it; with a little touch of Afro. I just hope you enjoy! I remain your boy @ernesto6402. One love✌️

LYRICS

Back through the years

I go wondering once again

Back to the seasons of my youth

I recall a box of rags that someone gave us

And how my momma put the rags to use

There were rags of many colors

Every piece was small

And I didn't have a coat

And it was way down in the fall

Momma sewed the rags together

Sewin' every piece with love

She made my coat of many colors

That I was so proud of

As she sewed, she told a story

From the Bible, she had read

About a coat of many colors

Joseph wore and then she said

Perhaps this coat will bring you

Good luck and happiness

And I just couldn't wait to wear it

And momma blessed it with a kiss

My coat of many colors

That my momma made for me

Made only from rags

But I wore it so proudly

Although we had no money

I was rich as I could be

In my coat of many colors

My momma made for me

So with patches on my britches

And holes in both my shoes

In my coat of many colors

I hurried off to school

Just to find the others laughing

And making fun of me

In my coat of many colors

My momma made for me

And oh, I couldn't understand it

For I felt I was rich

And I told 'em of the love

My momma sewed in every stitch

And I told 'em all the story

Momma told me while she sewed

And how my coat of many colors

Was worth more than all their clothes

But they didn't understand it

And I tried to make them see

That one is only poor

Only if they choose to be

Now I know we had no money

But I was rich as I could be

In my coat of many colors

My momma made for me

Hello my people! For this week Afri-tunes, I will be rendering a self arranged song titled WATHER DON PASS GARRI. Funny title right😀 Yes! The title might be funny, but it's a petition; a petition to God. WATHER DON PASS GARRI was inspired by the COVID-19* pandemic. It is a supplication to God, asking him listen to the cry of his children.

LYRICS

Chorus

Water don pass garri

There is serious trouble*

Oluwa hear our prayer

Oh God listen to our prayer*

Na which kind world be this

What kind of world is this

Verse 1

We thank you for your love and kindness, we throway salute

We thank you for your love and kindness, we salute you

But your people dey suffer, your people dey hunger

But your people are suffering, your people are hungry

We thank for your love and protection, throway salute

We thank you for your love and kindness, we salute you

But you people dey suffer, your people dey hunger

But your people are suffering, your people are hungry

*Verse 2

No reason our stubbornness, no reason our stupidity

Do not pay attention to our stubbornness, do not pay attention to our stupidity

If not we go suffer, if not we go kpesh

If not we will suffer, if not we will perish

No reason our sinfulness, Oluwa hear our prayer

Do not pay attention to our sinfulness, oh God hear our prayer

If not we go suffer, if not we go kpesh

If not we will suffer, if not we will perish

Hello hivers and fellow African music lovers! I am Mr Ernest by name and his will be my first entry on Afri tunes as a community; and for this week, I will be taking us to Church. Nigerian church to be precised... I will be doing an Igbo cool worship titled odịghị onye ọzọ; and will be matching it up with the popular Nigerian praise when I remember the goodness of God. These songs are everyday Nigerian christian songs, but they cannot be traced to particular song writer. That simply explains the reason behind my title Afro praise and worship section.

LYRICS

Odighi onye ọzọ

Na enu ụwa

Odighi onye ọzọ

Nanị Jesus na ihụ

Nanị Jesus na azu

Nanị ya ga egboro m

Nkpam nile

Odighi onye ọzọ

When I remember the goodness of God

And his mercy upon my life

His loving kindness upon my family

I feel like shouting

Ogozilim agozi

Colourful! This weeks topic is obviously a unique one. With reference to the topic of the week then, I will be doing a song by Nathaniel Bassy. As much as I can then, I will pick up Nathaniel Bassy's praise titled this God is too good, and convert it to a mind uplifting worship. Thus, I will as much as I can creat a distinct and unique song out of that. In all I would attempt to creat a colourful atmosphere with the song in question....

Hello everyone! I am Ernest by name, and this will be my first presentation as a hiver. Being an African and an Afro beat lover, I am extremely happy to have been graced with an opportunity to do what I love doing. Thus, I sincerely appreciate @ksam, @starstrings01 and @obaro for this wonderful initiative, and for there effort to present Africa to the world through Afri tunes.

For this weekend presentation, I will be presenting a cover of Teni's freestyle titled If to say na man. In the spirit of Afro beat, I will redefine the song by giving it a pure Afro interpretation.

The song in question was written in Nigerian pidgin English. It is a with short and funny lyrics. Yet, it is a song that reminds us of God's every living nature.

HERE ARE THE LYRICS

If to say na man ooo

If he was a man

Hunger for don kill me

I would have die of hunger

I for don loss weight ooo

I would have lost weight

God you too much

God you are wonderful
