In this corner, weighing from the mainland, Puerto Ricans. And this corner, all the way from La Isla de Encanto, Puertorriqueños! In this episode we tackle what has become a sticky topic or an "arroz con culo" of a debate. Why do island born Puerto Ricans insist that those who were not born on the island are not "true" Puerto Ricans? Many "mainlanders" are pushing back and voicing their opinions all while maintaining their love for the island despite the hate they are hearing.

Parental Guidance Suggested: The Passing of a Parent is my personal thoughts on the recent passing of my mom and how can we deal with it and adjust. When a parent passes away faster than you would like, it releases and uncovers emotions that are difficult to adjust to and how do we handle them? I may not have the answers but this episode may create questions but perhaps answer some as well.

This episode dives into the stereotype of being a "Macho Man" and how being one is so antiquated and crazy. I talk about current "machismo" and my own experience with it. Is it needed? Why does it seem like it has a role in today's societal issues especially with women and their own bodies. Kids: What's NOT Wrong with These Kids today! Today's episode takes a look at what kids are doing right and and how they truly are doing the right things. I discuss my own experience with my kids and how they and others their age are doing what's right in this world. Many times we tend to critique todays kids and dismiss their ideas and passions but overall, I think they're doing a fine job; at least better than me when I was their age. I discuss my own thoughts as well as point out what these kids today are capable of doing and have done.

It's that time of year when many of our kids go off to College and the reality of not having them around all the time sinks in. For some it's a happy time but for many (like myself) it is a punch in the gut and a time for stocking up on Kleenex! In this episode I share my own angst and sadness of having my youngest child go off to College. Tough. Tough. Tough.
I'll also discuss what it means to be an empty nester as well as what can be done to alleviate the withdrawal of not having your kids around all the time and making time for yourself and your spouse/partner.
The Hip Hop/Rap group Whoduni had a hit song in 1984 titled "Friends: How many of Us have them? Friends". In this episode I tackle what it means to have friends and how do we maintain them? I take at peek at statistical data as well as my own personal take on having friends. I talk about childhood friends, situational friends and geographic friends. Where do you stand with friends? Do you have a "Ride or Die" or a " I see you when I see you" type of friend? Let's jump right on in!
In this episode we tackle what seems to be trend in hotels; square shaped toilet seats. More and more hotel chains are replacing the traditional round/oval toilet seats with these streamlined square seats. Manufacturers claim circulation is not cut-off when sitting on these seats and adds a touch of modernization. Others rebuke them and say they are just not comfortable and worry about not having enough room to "spread out" .
