You probably don't understand their role and certainly not how they complement churches, schools, nonprofits, and law enforcement. Meet the founding Director of the Faith-Based & Community Engagement arm of Texas' Dept. of Family & Protective Servies. She's since come home to DFW where she's rallying the Church and community from the outside. You'd be hard-pressed to hear a more interesting perspective on flourishing, so this will be worth your time.
The collective Church in DFW has more resources than any in the history of the world. So why do we have one of the highest rates of poverty in the country? Meet a powerhouse from Ellis County who has one foot in the nonprofit space and one in local government. She's taking the bull by the horns and creating an organized network across the county to make the best possible use of time, effort, and money. Watch out world! Here she comes.
