PostHero is a collection of tech-enabled tools developed by Secret Weapon Studios to assist filmmakers with post-production workflows.

👨🏻‍💻 Blackmagic Resolve offers cloud-based editing and real-time collaboration, making it a valuable tool for remote post-production.

🌍 PlanetHero provides an easy way to offset the carbon footprint of film shoots, helping the industry become more environmentally friendly.

📊 ProductionHero aims to be a comprehensive hub for managing all aspects of film production, including crew management, scheduling, and more. There is no single solution for managing production processes, and companies often use a combination of tools from different providers.

🛠️ Large companies often have siloed systems, with different teams using different tools for their specific needs.

🎬 The film industry requires investment to develop new tools and services that can improve production workflows.

Final Pixel is pioneering innovation in virtual filmmaking—from concept to final pixel. We chatted with CEO Michael McKenna and Head of Production Hanah Draper about pushing creative boundaries.

🏎️ They helped Red Bull pull off its RB19 reveal with just 6 weeks of lead time. Using photoreal CG environments and drone footage, they built a fictional story of the racecar getting lost on its way to the New York launch event.

🛡️ Risk mitigation is key. Buttoned-up planning prevents common virtual production pitfalls and helps build client trust. Warner Bros relies on Final Pixel's tight production management.

⏱️ Virtual production compresses timelines. By reconceptualizing campaigns around dynamic CG scenes, clients can create content 50% faster than traditional methods. This also reduces costs by up to 20%.

🤖 AI will become another filmmaking tool, slotted into existing pipelines once iterative workflows improve. The tech is not the focus—it's the experiences it enables.

👏 The live action aspect uniquely expands creative possibilities, unlike purely animated CG or visual effects. It also breeds spontaneity on set as scenes can be reviewed and shifted in real-time.

The future of the craft will leverage tech while preserving the human artistry of cinematography and set design that makes viewers feel emotion. Virtual production will transform filmmaking, not replace it.

🛠 TOOLS & RESOURCES

GhostFrame
https://www.ghostframe.com

GhostFrame: The Revolutionary Virtual Production Toolset

GhostFrame is a brand new production toolset that's changing the game in virtual production, live broadcasts, esports, and corporate videos. Able to hide video content in an LED wall and maintain a perfect naked-eye image, GhostFrame enables you to shoot multiple background scenes simultaneously without the need for re-blocking, resetting, or re-lighting. Using GhostFrame, you can save time and achieve greater efficiency in your production process.

How GhostFrame Works

Peter from GhostFrame explains that the technology enables you to have multiple images hidden in the wall, which are visible through the camera, but invisible to the naked eye. The system works by shuttering the camera at a higher rate than normal, carving out and chopping out the subframe that is needed to give a perfect image. The lighting is synchronized with the background, and the lights cycle to match whatever is on the background that GhostFrame is recording.

Applications of GhostFrame

Fox Sports and Valve are already using GhostFrame to power their analysis and studio analysis, respectively. Fox Sports is using it to put their analysts inside a virtual world, while Valve is using it to be inside their game world. Applications also include extended reality and AR shoots, where multiple cameras can be used to see different backgrounds on the wall. With GhostFrame, you can achieve multi-camera 3D Unreal production, and the realities are always on the wall, making it easy to preview and cut.

Benefits of GhostFrame

GhostFrame can help you achieve greater efficiency and creativity in your production process. With the ability to shoot multiple background scenes simultaneously, you can save time and money on re-blocking, resetting, and re-lighting. The lighting is synchronized with the background, and the lights cycle to match whatever is on the background that GhostFrame is recording. It's perfect for car commercials, where the reflections are real, and it enables you to change from day to night quickly and easily. GhostFrame is also great for extended reality and AR shoots, where multiple cameras can be used to see different backgrounds on the wall.

In this episode, I speak with Austin Distel, head of marketing at Jarvis.ai. Jarvis.ai is one of the best copywriting tools that uses GPT-3 to generate short and long form content.

We talk a little bit about how exactly GPT-3 works and how all the new AI tools that have popped up over the past year work.

But the main reason I wanted to talk to Austin was to break down the live trainings he does featuring members of the community who share their knowledge on how to use Jarvis better.

This video strategy creates both community engagement and is a free way to build up a powerful video library to train future customers.
