The aim of this podcast is to teach, preserve and promote Baluchi language through story telling and other educational contents. Baluchi is a language that not many people are aware of, and some even consider it as an endangered language on the brink of extinction. Baluchi or Balochi language is widely spoken in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Oman, Gulf states, Turkmenistan and smaller communities in Europe and north Americas.
In this podcast; Barkat Barjan Baloch discusses the future of the Balochi language. He shares his thoughts on whether the Balochi language is heading towards extinction or extension. He also criticises professor Carina Jahani on the topic of the new Balochi font and her views about the prospect of Balochi language heading towards endangerment and ultimately extinction.
Barkat Barjan ''Houth'' Baloch is a poet, writer and singer from western Balochistan. He has worked on the Balochi language for several years and he is very optimistic about the future of the Balochi language. Specially, in the new era of social media and advanced technology.
