Hello, welcome to the episode of health and healing in the areas of addiction and abuse with Michael. My passion and interest started with becoming aware that many of us have childhood traumas that we carry into our adult lives, but we didn't have them addressed or never acknowledged that we had an addiction. Some of the abuses, we suffered were slight and verbal that we just wrote off, other abuses were kept in secret for many years. Now we want to expose those lie-based beliefs, through tools and partnering with the Holy Spirit to help us heal those traumas and become whole. Hurt people hurt people, so we must seek ways to heal so that we can assist others in their healing processes. Disclaimer: I am not a doctor or professional therapist. However, I am licensed and ordained Minister, who's interest was piqued as it related to my personal journey and struggles with addictions and abuses that found their way into every aspect of my life unknowingly. God knows I'm a work in progress, come along as we heal together.
Yes, this may be difficult for some to listen to or hear.
Hot car deaths are a thing. In fact the numbers are dangerously higher than anticipated. 1000 children have died in car deaths since 1990. 37 children under the age of 15 die each year from heatstroke, or vehicle hyperthermia.
Also, have you ever heard of "forgotten "Baby Syndrome?" This refers to when a parent accidentally leaves a baby or child in a locked car and walks away without thinking about their child or children in the back seat.
We should not judge these parents—remember these are accidents. Sometimes motor memory kicks in and you are preoccupied with tasks and future duties. Even a well-intentioned loving parent gets distracted, and 56% of car deaths still occur.
As we get better with technology and education, we must remember our imperfect brains need assistance—our human memory is faulty and can fail us at any time. Children are the focus here, but an elderly loved one should not be left in hot cars either.

The name Viola may not ring a bell in circles you reside in; however, the name Viola Ford-Fletcher is a common name, one not to be forgotten. Ms. Fletcher, affectionately known as "Mother Fletcher," was one of the last survivors of the 1921 horrific tragedies committed by an all-white mob in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Known as the "Black Wall Street" massacre, a lie was published in the newspaper of a colored man accused of assaulting a woman of non-color. How many stories have we heard of this magnitude that were untrue? Yes, white women were assaulted, but many of them were assaulted by white men who claimed it was a man of color.
Even while attempting to bring justice to the story, the very system that is in place denied then and still denies people of color justice and healing today, yet the racist perpetrators walk free and are not held accountable.
"Don't let them bury my story!"
The Light will always shine in darkness—you may think on this side, no justice nor peace is on your side, but retribution is ours in the Holies of Holies. Vengeance is mine; I will repay. Says the Lord!

Oh, it may not be sexy to talk about history or religious history, but I think you'll enjoy the information here. There is the era of constructive theology, where Black thinkers, pastors, and activists reimagine what Christianity can be even as they engage Islam, Judaism, Afro-Caribbean religions, and Buddhism. Their work suggests and insists that theology cannot stop at the boundaries of the church but must address the entire ecology of race, faith, and belonging.
Mentioning each religion, their work expands Black theology into genuine interfaith dialogue, proving that liberation cannot be confined to Christian or Muslim frameworks.
When you think about the history of the Christian church and how it was weaponized against people of color and others, people often discredit the western system of belief and shun the practice. Also, the continued and consistent misuse of the books of scriptures has had lasting trauma and confusion.
Consider sharing.

Many theologians consider scripture as their primary reference, while philosophy, history, archaeology, and other sources are secondary. Psychology utilizes reason, observation of nature, and experiment. Also, they rely on philosophical sources.
There are two models of conversation regarding psychology and theology. Models of integration: Explicit integration and implicit integration.
Both explicit and implicit integration offer valuable pathways for addressing the intersection of theology and psychology in Christian psychotherapy. While explicit provides a robust framework for faith-centered clients, implicit ensures inclusivity and adaptability in diverse therapeutic contexts.
Galatians 5:22-23 "The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things." Can we rely on those spiritual attributes and not counseling as a source or can we integrate the sources for our well-being?

Have you or someone you've known asked the question, "Why?" or "Why me?"
These massive topics are too big and complex for us to be under any illusions. Psychology classifies guilt as an emotion; moral emotions are classified as such because they presumably play a key role in fostering moral behavior.
Guilt is something we feel—shame attacks our identity.
Theologians aren't necessarily in disagreement. the feeling of guilt is important biblically and theologically. But this is only half the story.
The original "sin" left creation with an inborn disability and polluted. While it is clear that guilt focuses on the offense, shame focuses on the offender.
Not all psychologists hold the biblical view and advocate for modern psychology and are in direct conflict with theological teachings about how to deal with sin. The only real hope for an offender of the law of God is to turn to Christ for forgiveness. Guilt and shame have been nailed to the cross.

Latahsa Harlins was a 15-year-old slain in the city of Los Angeles, California. At the time, the most viewed and talked-about incident was that of the killing of Rodney King. Latasha was killed a few weeks later.
The teen was in a store attempting to purchase a drink for $1.79. The store owner thought she was stealing the beverage as she mistakenly placed the beverage in her backpack while holding the money in her hand. Latasha wasn't heading for the door, which is an indicator of theft, but proceeded to the counter.
An altercation erupted with the accusation that the teen was a thief. Mrs. Du, a Korean immigrant, fought with Latasha. Mrs. Du fell behind the counter and arose with a gun and shot the teen in the back of the head as she began to exit the store.
Mrs. Du was sentenced to jail but never did any time. The judge resonated with the immigrant story of coming to America and building a business, and she reduced the sentencing. Many stories go untold, and many are judged unjustly. Lives have been lost due to simple misunderstandings, but the biggest takeaway is gun violence in America. The gun violence in this country is traumatic, and the sufferings of day-to-day violence dealing with guns and people, to include teens with guns, only get worse when your loved one is killed by someone with a gun.

Being alone can be a source of strength, creativity, and personal growth for those who embrace it. It's not for everyone, but the personality traits are beneficial to all. In discovering the unique qualities of enjoyment of being alone, keep an open mind to how you too can find pleasure in being alone. Being alone is not isolation!
I explored some of the traits; they are as follows: Independent, confident, self-reliant, reflective, creative, innovative, empathetic, resourceful, self-sufficient, and more.
The benefits of taking time for oneself: In addition to fostering personal growth, alone time can provide numerous physical and mental health benefits. It can help reduce stress and improve overall well-being by allowing individuals to relax and recharge.

A gradual relationship decline prior to one person having an affair—and a once-or-twice affair happens—a new study has identified a pattern. Very rarely does a healthy relationship occur afterward. The study hoped to offer insight into whether relationship problems actually precede affairs or whether they mostly happen afterward.
Are cheaters destined to keep repeating the same pattern forever? Once a cheater, always a cheater?
People that cheated on their partner reported lower self-esteem, lower relationship satisfaction, and lower intimacy. Those cheated on only reported lower self-esteem and more conflicts.
Sadly, people involved in infidelity did not recover as much as from other life events. But bounce back does happen.

"Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." Amos 5:24
Listening is not only a personal practice; it can and must be shaped in our organizations. Our everyday systems, schools, government, congregations, and organizations. What is true for individuals is also true for institutions.
But when systems stop listening and telling untruths, the consequences are serious! This reflects people and institutions alike. Continue to tell untruths and allow systems to follow this belief system; they do not become ineffective or outdated, they become unjust!
Amos envisioned justice that flows, not isolated or selfish acts yet ongoing reality truths—like water that flows continuously through the life of the community. When people and institutions refuse to listen, they become obstacles to the people they serve and they obstruct truths.
To hear is a responsibility; to listen is an invitation into the work of justice!

As we journey through life, it's natural to experience changes in behavior. Some changes aren't all bad, as we have been told. Many of the changes we encounter as we age are positive.
Yes, some aspects allow aging people to observe how seniors display behaviors that seem to transport them back to their youth or earlier stages of life. Here's what nobody tells you about aging: every year comfort becomes more seductive, and routines solidify; your circles shrink, and before you know it, you're living in a world that's getting smaller and smaller. For some elders, that's ok; for others, not so much!
Are you saying YES to life's invitations?

The trouble with boys. They're kinetic, maddening, and failing at school; all is a result of emotions that start as boys.
This issue is twofold: 1st critically and 2nd the research.
Men's emotions are given less importance. They are expected not to cry when they feel hurt or vulnerable because of their gender. 30% of men experienced depression at some point in their lives, and 9% are feeling depressed and anxious daily. However, it's difficult to express how he feels for fear of being labeled.
Men compared to women encounter more external symptoms and these structures are likely related to gender differences in social interactions, coping, or treatment-seeking endeavors. These differences sometimes manifest differently as well. Men, when they repress their emotions, it can show up in violence and aggression towards others or anything within reach.

It was a typical night for a teen who was visiting with his dad and bonus mom when he decided to go to the store to grab a snack. Returning home on the phone with his girlfriend, he was abruptly approached by a man that was patrolling the neighborhood.
The kid and the man got into an altercation only after the man called the non-emergency police. Dispatch on the other side informed the man NOT to pursue the alleged suspect; the police would arrive soon.
Before the police arrived, that altercation resulted in the man shooting the teen where he died on the scene.
On this February night in 2012, the teen Trayvon Martin took his last breath—the events that followed rocked the nation. A nation that hasn't healed, reckoned with, or acknowledged the perils of brutality and injustice.

Trauma and crisis are two terms that are often used interchangeably, yet they possess distinct differences. Exploring their impact on mental health, a traumatic event can trigger a crisis situation, and a crisis situation can potentially lead to lasting trauma.

"Crisis" denotes an immediate threat or danger to an individual's safety or well-being.

The "flakka drug," or "flakka zombie drug," is an artificial stimulant that falls under the category of synthetic cathinone, commonly referred to as "bath salts." Law enforcement agencies and health care providers have expressed significant concerns about the widespread use of flakka.
Various instances of "Man on Flakka" have been captured in videos on news channels and social media platforms. Flakka is a highly potent drug that can be snorted, injected, eaten, smoked, or vaporized in e-cigarettes. This is why YOU should be aware of what your children are doing, where they are going, and who they may associate with; it's particularly popular among younger demographics and in clubbing scenes where synthetic drugs are more prevalent, cheaper, and accessible.
Flakka's ability to induce extreme behavioral changes, particularly violent and erratic behavior, has led to its inclusion under the label of "Zombie Drug."
Please consider sharing and watching a YouTube video on this drug known as Flakka, or the zombie drug.

A panic attack is a sudden episode of intense fear that triggers severe physical reactions when there is no real danger. You may experience a complete loss of control, feeling as though you're on the verge of collapse.
Panic disorder often begins in late teen years or early adulthood. Women are more prone to panic attacks than men. What causes panic attacks? Rechearse says it's unclear what causes these attacks or disorders, but there are factors that may play a significant role.
Psalm 31:22 NLT states, "In panic I cried out, 'I am cut off from the Lord!' But you heard my cry for mercy and answered my call for help."
We may think we're cut off from him in fear or panic mode, but he is never cut-off from us!

The Black Seminoles are one of the prominent Black American tribes whose history has been overlooked and suppressed, alongside other indigenous groups like the Gullah/Geechee and the Washitaw Nations.
The Black Seminoles are descendants of enslaved Africans who escaped plantations and allied with the Seminole Nation in Florida. They played a significant role in resisting slavery and fought in the Seminole Wars against the U.S. government. Their contributions to American history have often been downplayed, despite their significant resistance against oppression and their unique cultural heritage. Instead of becoming more Spanish, Florida increasingly became more "American."

Anxiety and depression are like two sides of the same coin. Your nervous system is just doing what it can with the stress, trauma history, and pressure it's carrying. A lot of people live quietly with both anxiety and depression at the same time.
Why Do They Show Up Together? Because your body comes equipped with a built-in alarm. Anxiety is the "fight or flight." Depression can look like "freeze."
Anxiety and depression often co-occur. No one needs to check every box. If this overlaps with your daily reality, it’s worth paying attention to. What matters most is how these experiences impact your life. Anxiety and depression commonly show up together because they share body systems, thought patterns, habits, and stressors. Get anxiety and depression therapy help if you need it. You can treat both at once.

How New Year's Resolutions Can Be a Dilemma. (Proverbs 3:4-6)
The most common New Year's resolutions are usually concerning career advancement, fitness goals, learning new skills, and weight loss. Many of us make New Year's resolutions, setting big goals as we're filled with excitement and anticipation.
What is New Year's resolution stress? It's when we put pressure on ourselves to make big changes and do amazing things in just twelve months. This stress can show up in different ways too. Lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Why Highly Sensitive People React So Strongly to Criticism.
Criticism is inevitable. Those with HSP reactions are wired deeply in their brains. The emotional brain is where their databank of triggers and past emotional memories are stored. For sensitive people, even when they logically know that criticism is invalid, they still need to process their emotions that arise. If you’re highly sensitive, check this podcast out.
Evaluate your needs and deal with the criticism. State your needs as openly, honestly, and respectfully as possible. Hold responsibility only for yourself; you are only responsible for you.

In 1842 deep in the heart of Georgia’s cotton empire, a widow chose the unthinkable; she desired to continue a bloodline that she thought was a chosen bloodline from God. Due to the fact, her late husband didn't leave her with a son to carry on the bloodline, she decided to develop a twisted plot so the Whitfield's name and legacy would continue.
As the story continues, does God make mistakes by choosing boys over girls and prematurely taking a loved one away, or do we tend to blame God for man's imperfections and selfish desires? She decided her very own five daughters would be the beneficiaries of son-bearing and that Josiah, the slave, his blood, would carry the secret of the Whitfields for generations to come. She believed the Whitfields were destined for greatness, their blood stronger and purer, chosen by God.

Are you getting a good night's sleep? Good sleep is paramount to the healthy functioning of our brains and bodies. As sleep plays an important role in the physical and mental health of individuals, studies are thought to uncover the causal relationship and mechanisms between sleep quality and aggressive behavior to raise public awareness of the importance of sleep.
Some researchers have suggested that high levels of aggressive behavior may also contribute to poor sleep, but findings do not support such a view. Sleep is extremely important to humans, and poor sleep can increase hostility in humans, which can damage their interpersonal relationships and have negative consequences for interpersonal interactions.
How this affects your intimate relationships: Sleep loss doesn’t just make you tired—it changes you emotionally. Deprived of sleep suggests that lesser quality sleep is associated with more intense negative feelings, especially anger.
Better sleep better life, and better relationships. Don’t let the sun go down on wrath.

Many are unaware that Project Coast was the successor to a limited post-war Chemical Biological Weapon CBW program that mainly produced the lethal agents CX powder and mustard gas, as well as non-lethal tear gas for riot control purposes. This is also why a great deal of money was spent developing new forms of tear gas and investigating whether street drugs could be used to ‘calm’ crowds. Today in many places, rioters have been teargassed.
Failure to hold anyone accountable for Project Coast will grow the culture of impunity in South Africa and is all too familiar across the globe. The program's activities were conducted under secrecy and with the support of an extensive international network, including behind-the-scenes governments.

"The Massacre," or "The Slaughter," was a period of anti-Mexican violence in Texas, including massacres and lynching, between 1910 and 1920 in the midst of tensions between the United States and Mexico during the Mexican Revolution.
La Matanza Many Mexican Americans know this story. Mexican refugees, looking to escape the violence of the revolution, began migrating to Texas, causing the Mexican population in the U.S. to triple during the early 1900s. Tensions between Mexico and the United States eventually led to violence between white Americans and Mexicans and the lynching of Mexicans.
Such brutal actions by the Texas Ranger Division made many Mexican landowners flee back to Mexico and, in some cases, leave because of their urgency of fear leaving behind land and livestock.
La Matanza in 2025 naw, it may not be massacres or slaughters as were in the history of Americans to Mexican Americans. But yes, deportation of immigrants and American-born people of all ethnic groups is occurring as we speak; many are terrorized and live in fear in 2025.

Few things compare to the pain of losing someone you love. While there’s no way to avoid intense feelings of grief, there are healthier ways to come to terms with your loss.
Bereavement is the grief and mourning experience following the death of someone important to you. Death is an inevitable part of life, something that virtually all of us go through at some point—losing someone you love can be one of the most painful experiences you’ll ever have to endure. Whether it’s a close friend, spouse, parent, child, or other relative, the death of a loved one can feel overwhelming.
You may experience waves of intense and very difficult emotions, ranging from profound sadness, emptiness, and despair to shock, numbness, guilt, or regret. You might rage at the circumstances of your loved one’s death—your anger focused on yourself, doctors, other loved ones, or God. You may even find it difficult to accept the person is really gone or struggle to see how you can ever recover and move on from your loss. Grief is both a universal and a personal experience. Individual experiences of grief vary and are influenced by the nature of the loss. You should seek help and assistance in the grief process.

Who was Natalie Cole?
She was an American singer-songwriter, daughter of mid-century crooner Nat King Cole, and was best known for her Grammy Award-winning songs. Cole's career took flight, and throughout the 1970s, she turned out four gold and two platinum records.
Cole hit a lull in her career in the early 1980s due to her struggle with drug addiction. Yet she returned after rehab. She began recording again and was back on the charts with a megahit by the mid-'80s. Cole died from congestive heart failure on December 31, 2015, in Los Angeles, California. As a favorite, Cole leaves behind a legacy as one of the most celebrated and iconic women in R&B.

Psychologists are leaving standard treatment modalities and venues behind entirely and bringing interventions into communities that embrace the background, culture, and challenges of men of color. Research has shown that positive interventions in barbershops, churches, and other social meeting places demonstrate they're powerful vehicles for encouraging healthy and help-seeking behaviors.
As the central format for these programs is extended, kinship circles, where men and boys—sometimes from multiple generations—come together to talk, share in communal ceremonies, and heal racial wounds. The circles create a space for honest sharing about life’s realities, including the internalized experiences of racism, its emotional and psychosomatic effects, and how these problems can affect members of the group as well as their community and family members.

To understand the psychology behind deadbeat behavior, we need to examine many factors that can influence a father’s decision to provide or withhold financial provision. These factors can be divided into three broad categories: individual, social, and economic, all previously discussed.
Black men’s mental health matters. While Americans Africans experience similar rates of mental illness as other Americans in general, there are contextual differences. Black adults living below the poverty line are more than twice as likely to report serious psychological distress as U.S. adults who enjoy greater financial security, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Minority Health. Depressive symptoms among people of African descent are more disabling, persistent, and treatment-resistant than they are among European people. There's so much more to this, and I will try to share so that the myth is debunked.

Police brutality toward men of color (particularly Black men), as exemplified by the murder of George Floyd (yes, we’re still talking about these brothers, and it should be a continued conversation in America) under a White officer’s knee, highlighted the particular range of mental stressors men of color experience. All men suffer mental health and police brutality. Yet in the community of men of color, mental health goes underreported or undiagnosed, unacknowledged, or, most importantly, untreated.
We should place less emphasis on whether men of color are resistant to therapy and more on understanding the contexts in which they already feel comfortable talking about their feelings and traumas.

“One who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and one who gives gifts to the rich—both come to poverty."
Children growing up in low-income and now many middle-class families face challenges that children from more advantaged families do not. childhood, and the association between these patterns of poverty in early and middle adulthood, are devastating.
Far too many are still in denial and want to push back relating to the disparities in wealth—and that which leads to poverty is a real thing! Just because you haven't lived in poverty doesn't mean it doesn't exist. No, it isn’t about victimhood; I’m simply pointing out facts about childhood trauma and poverty. Health risk of trauma and racism:
Black women who experience racism experience trauma-like effects and are at higher risk for future health problems. Women of color who have experienced more racism throughout their lives have stronger brain responses to threat, which may hurt their long-term health, according to a new study conducted with a clinical neuropsychologist and others.
Although research has consistently demonstrated that the chronic stress of racism can get under the skin and leave a biological residue of enduring health consequences for Americans of color over time, little research has explored the impact of racism on the brain's function and health. The study provides a preliminary glimpse into the need to consider the traumatic nature of racism in people of color's lives.
Many fail to realize or recognize this trauma as a burden, not a blessing.

There are five love languages. Each of these love languages is a way to communicate your love to your romantic partner. Putting love languages into action is believed to increase relationship happiness.
Despite how popular love languages are, there is little research to support the framework. The popularity of the theory of love languages, only a handful of studies have been conducted. Attachment Theory and 5 Love Languages combined encourage and promote health, and potentially these moments of Love and Connection may help you live longer.

America, The Land of the Free?
America is called the land of the free and we are supposed to have enumerable rights. Minorities in this country have to endure many hardships and only when everyone can come together as equals will America be a great country. The notion that America was built on Christian values is a complex and debatable topic. While some argue that Christianity played a significant role in shaping America culture and tradition, other loudly assert that the founding of the United States was based on secular principles.
Nationalism and Capitalism are two distinct ideologies that often interact in complex ways, influencing political, economic, and social dynamics.
I have opinions as well as WE THE PEOPLE, should have and exercise them, yet freedom of speech is being threatened every day and often. America is sick and on life support. Whatever happened to Christian values and morals? We can no longer stand on the Judeo-Christian Bible and expect a blessing or the hand of God to be on America—if God is real and His words are true—then if He doesn't punish America (sin), He owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology! God is not a man, that he should lie!

The Ghetto Informant Program (GIP) was an intelligence-gathering operation run by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 1967 to 1973. After the Watts Riots of 1965, and further unrest in Newark and Detroit in the summer of 1967, the US government mobilized to prepare for urban conflict.
You heard the term, snitches get stitiches! Well there were some snitches in the ghetto. They were FBI informants.
Some of the strauma and struggles in the American Africans communities are because of distrust. "Black cannot get along" they say goes way back, in dealing with infiltration of others including the FBI and other prominnant figures in history. and this has long-term consequences for these communities, by desgn I might add.
You see the war on drugs was never about the drugs. The drugs were a byproduct sent into the communities of color purposely to wreak havoc, secretly allowing slaughter and murderous gangs then referred to as 'black on black crime.' Which inundated the nightly news. It was the crooked local and federal police and FBI behind the entire operation.

Romantic relationships have a special way of enriching our lives through intimate companionship and connection. For many, the desire to find a partner stems from the hope of sharing life’s journey, with all of its triumphs, struggles and quiet moments and noisy pursuits, with someone who is there for both the highs and the lows, the good and the bad.
Research shows that long-term relationships offer something fleeting connections cannot. Here’s what makes people want to fall in love?
2 Things That Partners Value Most in Relationships—
Being ‘Loved Right’ In Relationships.
Receiving Unconditional Support from a Partner.

Seek you first the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you. Americans awoke to the aftershocks of an electoral earthquake.
Democrats’ electoral coalition finally fractured, costing them the popular vote for only the second time since 1988.
The reasons are obvious. Democrats turned inward, chasing fringe cultural fights and catering to unions and activist groups instead of addressing the basics: jobs, inflation, safety, and the border. The very voters who built their coalition are walking away, abandoned by a party that focuses more on making sure kids get ruinous “gender care” than fighting crime.
In recent years, many Republican officials have veered away from traditional conservative principles and toward unwavering loyalty to power — often personified by former President — and the interests of wealthy donors. Analysts note that GOP leaders have essentially “abandoned their principles in support of an immoral and dangerous president”
Since we Christians fall in that broad category called the people, we are responsible before God for what this government does. It matters not where you stand politically; everyone has a vote and a voice. As traumatic as this may seem and the trail of pain it leaves behind, more importantly, the roads yet traveled—our responsibility is a "moral" one. Not just for one race of people or those claiming supremacy.
America, are we better than this? To answer that question, "NO!" political violence is the very fabric of America—we are traumatized by violence, hate, division, and killings daily.

Because of the resurrection, nothing we do is useless. Sometimes we become apathetic to serving or hesitate to do good because we don't see the results. Knowing Christ won the ultimate victory should affect the way we live right now.
Being honest, it's clear Tora has been apathetic. God has called her to do certain things, but her interest wasn't there. Each of us can be apprehensive about completing a task Father instructed us to finish. There's a divine purpose for you, and He will see it through—you can run, but you can't hide.
There's a place that I wanna be. A place my fears hid away from me.
I can hear you calling from above. Fill me with your perfect love.
Do you hear what I hear? He's calling us!

The concept can be traced way back in the old times, when men were portrayed as warriors, rulers, and providers of their kingdoms. Does this mean that a man's personal identity is based solely in social norms and expectations, say, defined by Alpha or Beta?
Submissive men are not what you always thought them to be. They are more than betas; they have traits that are respected and admired. Submission is not just a female virtue. It's a believer's virtue. Light is to be recognized in a very dark place. Leaders in churches, homes, and communities are vital to genuine leadership.
It's easy to misinterpret a man that is submissive. We follow the standard of society of masculinity, and the man of submissiveness is believed to be less macho and soft. However, to disregard with respect the submissive man is to disregard the attributes and commitment of Christ himself. Yes, His submission was so complete that He was obedient to the point of death, even the death of the Cross in His earthly ministry. Submitted to whom, you may ask? first to the Father and second to you and me.
Do you consider submissive men weak?
There's nothing weak about being submissive. What say you? Please share.

Emotional literacy is regarded as an ability to understand one’s own emotions, feelings, and ways to communicate one’s emotional pattern.
Before getting into the broader understanding of emotional literacy, we need to have an idea about the term "emotional literacy."
Knowing your feelings
Having a sense of empathy
Learning to manage your emotions
Repairing emotional problems and
Emotional interactivity
What then is "emotional literacy"? The ability to listen to others, empathize with their emotions, and express emotions productively.
Are you an emotionally invested leader? You are now.

It's been 24 years since September 11, 2001, which will forever live in the collective consciousness of those who witnessed four commercial jetliners converted into weapons of terror to target innocent Americans on a beautiful Tuesday morning.
There was one plane still unaccounted for—Flight 93 from Newark, New Jersey—slowly advancing toward the heart of Washington, D.C., carrying 40 innocent souls. In the face of death, these ordinary men and women devised an extraordinary plan to deny evil and their final destination, serving as a lasting reminder that the United States will never yield to forces of evil.
Yes, it should be celebrated!

If you or someone you know is caring for a loved one or a person with dementia, it poses many challenges. People with dementia from conditions such as Alzheimer's and related diseases have a progressive biological brain disorder that makes it more and more difficult for them to remember things.
They fear the loss of memory, which is understandable and reasonable; they fear the loss of their ability to think clearly or their thinking skills, to include communicative skills. Ask yourself why your loved one may be behaving in such a way. This behavior is telling you something is wrong. Dealing with someone with dementia can be hard to deal with—do not be discouraged; they're all you have to continue in life. Let your knowledge of them guide your choices. Many changes can be irritating and stressful. Patients is needed; they can feel out of control, lost, or in pain. Responding with affection and reassurance, try and keep them active as possible, and when it gets tough, reach out for help.
If you're a caretaker, keep your health intact; you too deserve rest from your labor. It is vitally important to take time for yourself. God bless the carers of their family and friends; it's truly a ministry to show compassion and concern for the sick.

On Aug. 11 and 12, 2017, the so-called Unite the Right rally protesting the planned removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from a park turned violent when neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and others linked to far-right groups clashed with leftist counterprotesters. One self-identified white supremacist rammed his car into a crowd of people, killing one and injuring at least 19.
The protestors of the then-president of the United States of America was widely criticized for repeatedly placing blame for the violence, proclaiming there are "good people on both sides."
"Stand back and stand by" was his order instead of denouncing these groups that portray and promote hate. The torch welding groups of mostly white men chanting 'the Jews will not replace us,' is a shocking revelation that the very people claiming that immigrants are criminals are themselves the criminals and haters. Ghost Skins are those that have been recruited into the white supremacist and KKK organizations and work in various fields in disguise. Primarily the local state police departments across the country, even the U.S. military and colleges, have been infiltrated by these recruiters.

The subject of mental health and gun violence is often multifaceted, encompassing not only the effects of gun violence on mental health—both for survivors and for communities at large—but also the stigmas and misconceptions existing regarding individuals with mental illness. To thoroughly explore this topic, it may be beneficial to further explore each aspect in more detail. It may be helpful to have an overview of the relationship between mental health and gun violence on both a broad and individual level.
While some may argue mass shootings would be prevented if attackers had better access to the mental health system, putting the burden on the mental health system to provide the help that would be needed to stop these shootings is an inappropriate way to shift the blame. Gun violence can have far-reaching effects on mental health, though.
This should be stated: there are many responsible gun owners; “it's very difficult to stop someone from firing a gun if they’ve got one. "But what we not gone do is say that mass shooters All have a mental issue.

The mental wounds from school shootings ripple through the nation. Over and again, school shootings break Americans' hearts. It's traumatizing to know that innocent babies lose their lives based on a person who has issues, problems, and hate in their heart. Just because something didn't go their way or they feel defeated, maybe because of what they believe and no one shares in their belief, or whatever it was, it didn't work out for them.
We all have troubles, some worse than others—why do we have to purchase weapons (guns) to shoot innocent people and cowardly kill themselves? Mass shootings cannot be discussed without acknowledging the repercussions they have on the mental health of the survivors. Gun violence impacts every aspect of society, and now it's built into the very fabric of America! There are pros and cons to owning a gun, such as suicides, domestic violence, and homicides, which speak to the fact that every two seconds someone dies from a shooting.
Yes, you have a right to bear arms, but none of us have the right to kill innocent children, and each child has a right to live and live a full and productive life.

Grief is difficult enough. "What is it like to grieve after you have healed?"
Several questions may arise from those who are grieving. And many attempt to answer the question compassionately. Sure, we want the bereaved to feel whole and well again. Please be aware, it is important to acknowledge and be familiar with grief and the process of grief. We all grieve differently.
Each of us must go through the process of the death of a loved one and can go through the 5 dimensions of grief: intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual. Also, most losses are traumatic. While you're dealing with the transition of the loved one, you too are suffering trauma.
The concept of well-being or wholeness suits the evolving but never-ending grief process. Just because you may feel better doesn't mean you're healed. Please know grief can be a lifelong process—yet we live through the gifts of memories, the fun times, and the laughter the deceased had with us. If you seek closure, you may find it, depending on the level of love. Closure may never arrive.
Does healing apply to grief?

Being clumsy equates to awkwardness. Clumsy is defined as awkward movements or actions, without skill or grace. In the system of religion, many are moving in their belief falsely and trusting in false teachers.
If you ask yourself what is wrong with God, you will discover that nothing is wrong with God. If you ask yourself what is wrong with you—if you are created in the image and likeness of God—then the answer is a resounding nothing. The problem is that this fallen world is dark and sin-sick. Yes, we're moving in this world, navigating through it, and dealing with trauma, trials, and tests just like everyone else.
The enemy has a strategy too. We all learned those broken ways or were made to think the ways and the things you do are of the ways of the world's system. Many humans do not believe in religion; however, they trust and follow the "new age system." Which, in my opinion, can be far worse. Men's deeds are dark—and they love darkness. Christ is the light of the world, and we who believe walk in and move in the light. There's no clumsiness in the light; come out of the dark, clumsy state, people, and be reconciled unto the light.

Can you know what God is going to do for you? He may reveal His plans for you, and He may not.
When God is doing something, it is our responsibility to listen and accept that all will work out for the good. It is not ours to say what God will do. Simply we stand up, take up, and walk.

People with ADHD have differences in how the brain develops and works. This disorder is characterized by an ongoing pattern of one or more systems.
Inattention—having difficulty paying attention
Hyperactivity—excessively moving around
Impulsivity—intruding and interrupting
These habits are often common in children. But did you know adults are living with undiagnosed or underdiagnosed ADHD? Adult ADHD presents differently from children, and the characteristics do as well.
Because they both have trouble focusing or concentrating, they both can suffer in silence. Children may not be able to articulate what they feel, whereas an adult may hide the feelings and withdraw because they feel inadequate. Plus, when we speak of ADHD, neurodivergence is a relatively new concept that presents neurological differences as normal variations rather than pathological disorders. People who are neurodivergent usually are diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder such as autism, ADHD, and other systems.

As we will see, trauma changes a person's personality. It's characterized by:
A loss of capacity to use community support.
Chronic recurrent depression with feelings of despair.
Emotional anesthesia or blocked ability to react affectively.
Alexithymia, or inability to recognize and make use of emotional reactions.
The list of secondary reactions to psychological trauma includes emotional construction, sensational-seeking reenactment, and drug and alcohol abuse. This affects children and adults alike, and if not dealt with, our children will carry these traumas and behaviors into adulthood. Go with me as we look deeper into the health and healing dealing with trauma and addiction. P.T. 2 Trauma is being talked about more these days. Because of emotions, feelings, and behaviors that are growing in society, it is becoming popular to blame instead of taking responsibility for one's actions. Unfortunately, there aren't enough therapists to take on and tackle these issues. Listening and applying these tools and methods will help to recognize the problems, work on the issues, and heal from the application, which is my desire.

In these times finding love is a challenge. Too many distractions, negativity, and self-interest. Maybe you're not searching for love, that's ok too. With rejection of traditional marriage, and true relationship status as the world turns many are forbidden to marry based on the ways of the society that has destroyed the institution of God!
Yes, you can do bad by yourself, but what about doing good, progression and advancement with someone? Think about it; two are better than one! Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all relationship are made in heaven, but all divine relationship are ordained for success in following the blueprint and recognizing the work ahead.
So how do you know when you've found the right person? Many people have differing answers to the question in various ways. When you find someone with all 9 describes a Truly Pure Soul, you found the love of your life! As parents, we want to eliminate as much pain, stress, and suffering as possible for our children. Yet, we don't have a magic wand, nor do we anticipate they will suffer greatly. We carry the anticipation that we as parents have done great jobs rearing them and given them all the resources to achieve life goals.
Anxiety in teenage children ages 13-18 is a real thing; these groups are struggling to cope with the pressures they are facing in healthy and productive ways. That equates to 33 percent equaling millions.
The real work in youth ministry begins with relationships, and through these built relationships, our young people and teens experience a deep and meaningful transformative love of God. Our faith has to be in someone greater than ourselves. Hence we trust that open communication and support of our teens will grow in the knowledge of God and increase their belief to navigate this darkened world.
It is my hope that their anxiety will be lessened so that they can live productive and safe, full lives.

If we teach teens, the truth that the source and magnitude of their value is in Christ for those that believe, it becomes so much easier than thinking they have to depend upon themselves to heal. No, when they truly understand that God is love the feeling that brought them to a dangerous place of anxiety or stress are much likely to subside or even lift. They do not have to go it alone! Parents keep the conversation doors wide open, allowing them to enter at will and speak openly and safely about their emotions and feelings so they can heal. In addtion, parents you too need healing and deliverance to assist in the process of your children's healing.

Research is focused on child and teen mental health, exploring why they are struggling and what can be done to help them.
In the U.S., kids underage experience a mental health disorder such as depression, anxiety, or substance abuse. Yet nearly half do not receive any treatment.
Children and teenagers can struggle with mental health issues just the same as adults. In the 10 years leading up to the pandemic, feelings of persistent sadness and hopelessness—as well as suicidal thoughts and behaviors—increased by about 40% among young people.
Psychologists were also behind new mental health recommendations from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, a group of volunteer health professionals who evaluate evidence on various preventive health services. The task force now recommends regular anxiety screenings for youth ages 8 to 18 and regular depression screenings for adolescents ages 12 to 18. More must be done!

Smartphones have transformed the way we communicate, learn, and entertain ourselves.
The tendency to compare oneself with others and the desire for validation through likes and comments can lead to a distorted self-image and feelings of worthlessness, continuing; studies have shown a correlation between heavy social media use and depression, anxiety, loneliness, and suicidal ideation. The aim of this initiative is to reduce exposure to the potentially harmful effects of excessive screen time, such as sleep disruption, increased anxiety, and depressive symptoms.

This relatively new concept popularized in the early 2000's and first originated in the New Age Movement System. In scripture it is a deep spiritual, emotional and relational bond between two individuals. Good spirits do not attach themselves to evil spirits. Nor can an evil spirit attach itself to the Holy spirit. You cannot attach your spirit to someone else's. You can, however, be influenced by someone else's spirit if you open the portal to darkness by attaching to negativity and demonic spirits.
Soul ties are emotional bonds that form an attachment. They may be Godly or ungodly, pure or demonic. Contrary to what is commonly believed soul ties are not always links between individuals, these ties can form an ungodly attachment with people, places, or things. That's right! People can be overly attached to pets, possessions (stuff), or anything else imaginable...'you are a slave to whatever controls you'. II Peter 2:19
Believers are encouraged to trust in God, and Him only to bring peace, and restoration to the soul. Explore some scriptural verses as Christ sets the example to abiding in the right spirit and shun the evil. We are created to need an intimate relationship with God and each other, not with the spirit of darkness and evil.

The story of Tennessean Pamela Moses receiving a six-year prison sentence for submitting a form with incorrect information while trying to regain her voting rights begins with her past criminal record and ends with a judge who did not believe her.
Yes, she was on probation for a prior felony conviction, including a 2015 conviction for tampering with evidence. But she believed her probation had ended, a probation officer told her she was actually done with her felony probation, records show. The probation officer signed off on her certificate of restoration to vote.
Ms. Moses was charged with perjury. She was charged and sentenced to years in prison! There's so much more to this story, such as taxpayers' money, politics and Ms. Moses' family. This had to be traumatic for all involved in her life.
Donald Kirk Hartle, a white Republican voter, was charged with 2 counts of voter fraud in Las Vegas after he forged his dead wife’s signature to vote with her ballot. He was sentenced in November to one year of probation.

In many areas, there are too few behavioral health professionals or therapist to provide cultural matching to all clients (people of color, specifically women and girls) who would benefit from it, so the ideal is that practitioners of all colors and cultures work toward the capacity to reach across color lines in culturally appropriate ways.
Black women are often pigeonholed as strong caregivers and providers who shoulder others’ burdens and do not share their own. They're expected to hold down the house, rear the children, work and school and lead in church services etc.
Burnout and stress are rampant among Black women, especially as many absorb traumatizing situation daily. Racism is traumatizing!

Cheslie Kryst, the 2019 winner of the Miss USA pageant and a correspondent for the entertainment news program “Extra,” has died at age 30. When Kryst was crowned, it marked more than a personal triumph: It meant that for the first time, three women of color were the reigning Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss America.
"By the Time You Read This: The Space Between Cheslie's Smile and Mental Illness."
Cheslie Kryst, the trailblazing former Miss USA who took her own life at age 30 in January 2022, was working on a memoir prior to her tragic death exploring her private struggles with depression. Kryst made history as the oldest woman ever crowned Miss USA in 2019 at age 28. Kryst was battling intense inner pain.
She was smiling and bubbly and happy, and that was her true self, but there was still a lot of pain that she felt. Simpkins her mother - shared that when she first learned Kryst was gone, part of her thought she would die from a broken heart. While grieving, she faced criticism from some on social media, asking why she was unaware of her daughter's struggles or why she wasn’t able to save her, given their close relationship. Her daughter had fought for many years, and no one was to blame. As a mother, “you want to fight every battle, and you want your children to know, ‘I got your back,'” she said. “But mental illness is a fight you can’t fight for your child.”

Did you know, marking its 151st anniversary known as the Super bowl of U.S. horse racing is upon us, what about its history? Many are unaware that the Kentucky Derby was dominated by Men of color in its inception. That's right in the infant stages of the Derby African Americans jockeys were very prevalent. I really love horses their beauty and power. As do a lot of people.
On opening day, May 17th of 1875, Oliver Lewis, at 19 years old, rode the colt Aristides to a record-setting victory. In the late 1800s Black jockeys excelled, winning six Derbies, one Preakness and three Belmont Stakes. Known as the Triple Crown.
Black jockeys won more than half of the first 25 running’s of the Kentucky Derby. But in the 1890s – as Jim Crow laws destroyed gains men of color had made since emancipation – they ended up losing their jobs.
Historical trauma refers to the cumulative emotional and psychological impact of traumatic events experienced by a group over generations. For Black Americans this trauma is not just in the past; it continues to affect mental health today. Because the legendary "cowboys" were so good at their craft and in their preparation to win, whites were intimidated and decide that blacks no longer belong.

An attempt to integrate Psychology and Theology is a daunting task because of the divergent approaches of these academic disciplines. We need to be aware of psychologists’ underlying assumptions, including ethical and metaphysical assumptions, critiquing those assumptions.
Your thoughts and beliefs determine your reality. The problem of integration is this: To integrate Christianity with Psychology one has to convert or reduce biblical wisdom (mind of Christ) to Theology, or a theory about the basis and purpose of living. But the Bible does not address the head, but the heart. Correct, I make an attempt to address both, in the short of the podcast.
Many years of research has proving how one thinks, feels, believes and expects is important, if not more so than what one does. Beyond mere intellectual interest one motivation for integration is the sense that one's personal integrity is at stake. In spite of some obvious risks, I still believe in ‘integrative’ work because exploring different intersections between faith and any type of learning, and experimenting with integrative processes of this kind, is desirable. My Christian convictions will therefore represent one of integration of Theology and Psychology (theory of personality) unavoidably from the Christian point of view.

At first glance, most conflicts appear to be about surface-level issues—forgotten tasks, unreturned texts or a lack of effort in the relationship. These triggers make up only 10% of the argument and seem to have simple solutions like listening more, plan more and being responsive. Yet, despite attempts to fix these behaviors, the tension often remains. This is because the real conflict isn’t about the action itself—it’s about what that action represents on a deeper emotional level.
Conflicts over small things often mask deeper struggles for validation, autonomy or emotional security. The Superficial Trigger Vs. The Emotional Undercurrent!

The important message is that corporal punishment is a risk that can increase potential problems for children’s development, and following a precautionary principle, parents and policymakers should work toward trying to reduce its prevalence.
“Spanking places children at risk for many poor outcomes across their lifespan. It is important to do work that can inform and promote prevention efforts to improve the safety and well-being of children.” The study sheds light on the links between childhood experiences of parents and the parenting practices in their adult family.
In recent decades, studies have linked the use of physical punishment on children to multiple adverse outcomes in adulthood, including increased likelihood of mental and physical health problems, substance use, aggression, antisocial behavior, poor cognitive behaviors and others.

Constant fear can make you doubt yourself. But the effects of fear-induced psychological harm don’t stop at the neck. The physiological effects of chronic fear can be just as devastating as the psychological ones.
The effects of fear can be far-reaching and profound, impacting our mental health, physical well-being, and social connections. God has not given us the spirit of 'fear', but of power, love and a sound mind. Let us operate and manifest the gifts given by God, instead of the darkness of the enemy that operates in fear.

What is grief?
It’s the emotional suffering you feel when something or someone you love is taken away. Grief is a natural response to loss, or losing a loved one. Coping with the loss of someone or something you love is one of life’s biggest challenges.
Even subtle losses in life can trigger a sense of grief. Grieving is a highly individual experience; there's no right or wrong way to grieve. Inevitably, the grieving process takes time.
If you’re experiencing complicated grief and the pain from your loss remains unresolved, it’s important to reach out for support and take the steps that will enable you to heal. Health and healing dealing with trauma and addiction.

Did you know: Combined research from the U.S. Census, CDC, Pew Research and more sought out to find what drives divorce in the United States. These divorce statistics mentioned show what happens to marriages that end and when and how couples decide to end them. You may be surprised as I was as to reasons given. Just to name a few:
I say the only thing we should be divorcing after 50 is attitudes and egos. People who desire to set their own rules for marriage is wrong! They change and break the rules set in place in the middle of the game. Get healing and stay in your covenant relationship.

According to the study it has pointed out that this stereotypical association is weaker in Black women and Asian men. To determine whether a person’s ingroup identity and group status play a factor in such associations, the research team conducted two separate studies. Their research examines whether intersecting racial and gender identities affect people’s perception. Keeping in mind that the participants associated Black people and East Asian people with either masculinity or femininity.
What does this mean: It means these studies demonstrate that the gender content of racial stereotypes has important real-world consequences in shaping of our culture and biases: If there is one thing you need to know about biases, it is that WE all have them.
So, these studies show two things: cultural/personal identity. Meaning Culture, in this context, refers to the beliefs, norms, behaviors, and values that a given group of people deem acceptable. Whereas identity is about knowing what is acceptable and true for yourself. We form a cultural identity when we subconsciously interpret and incorporate signals and biases from the world around us into our own identity so we can belong.
In psychology, it is an established belief that people make associations based on components of a person’s social identity, which includes age, race and gender.

Non-suicidal Self-injury/cutting is the term used to explain deliberately harming your own body, like cutting or burning yourself. It is done to cope with emotional traumas, anger, and frustration.
Self-injury/cutting is the act of deliberately hurting yourself. You may carve something on your skin, burn yourself, hit yourself, or pierce your skin with sharp objects.
When talking about childhood trauma and grief, clinicians have really been referring to this as a silent epidemic, and that’s because so many of the mental and behavioral health struggles that we see today are really rooted in traumas and losses. Trauma is the experience of a real or perceived threat to life or bodily injury to a loved one or to themselves, and this causes an overwhelming sense of terror, horror, helplessness and fear. Theses childhood traumas eventually become adult traumas, if they aren't addressed appropriately.
We know relationship challenges are most likely being a trigger for deaths or attempted suicides and self-injury. We continue the stressed need for schools, law enforcement agencies, families and youth to, collaboratively, reverse a spiral of depression, anxiety and other mental disorders that raise suicide risks, and self-harmful behaviors.
Emergency room visits for suicidal thoughts and self-injury are on the rise, with Black girls and LGBTQ youth experiencing record rates of self-injury and death by suicide. Treating self-injury might take time, but it is curable.

2 Thessalonians 2:9–12
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sort of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
Satan’s first move was to entice the women to doubt God’s Word, and his strategy was to ask by means of the snake, “Has God really said?” (Gen. 3:1). People have been falling for this deception ever since. When they hear one of God’s clear commands, they rationalize that it’s not really what He meant, or it doesn’t apply in their case. When temptation comes, don’t believe Satan’s lies! Sin always has repercussions. Satan is constantly seeking to fill our minds with destructive thoughts—whether fear, worry, insecurity, anxiety, temptation, envy, and others.
It’s too easy for him to manipulate his way into your mind. We've allowed lies to command others to accept our lie and life simply because we don’t think it’s a lie.
You can live your life and lie and accept lies, but can you leave me out of it? We all have to stand before the judgement seat of God. (I believe) I can extend grace to you (without judgement), for you to do you, can you extend the same grace to me, to do me?

“Nice guys” do the following, they'll be just fine.
Practicing compassionate and honesty. Share your true feelings while maintaining kindness. This allows you to be both authentic and respectful. Embrace “No”, learn to decline requests that drain you, recognizing that saying no doesn’t diminish your love or care but helps preserve your energy and boundaries.
Regularly take time to reflect on whether your needs are being met and if you're compromising too much, re-evaluate you. Use collaborative conflict resolution. Instead of avoiding disagreements, work together with your mate to actively solve issues. This strengthens the relationship through teamwork rather than sidestepping problems.
Nice guys don’t have to finish last; they are actually first when they operate in truth and confidence. Do not allow insecurities to overwhelm you or discourage you. Ladies really do like nice guys – sometimes they be buggin!
Be encouraged and remain faithful.

When we grow up in chaotic or even dysfunctional families, we learn unspoken rules and messages. While necessary to the survival of a child within that family community, outside of that environment, these messages do not make sense and can even be harmful as they continue to revictimize trauma survivors.
5 of the most common unspoken messages that childhood trauma survivors carry into adulthood are:
It is important to remember that these messages were formed due to years of dysfunction, abuse, or mistreatment, and that they arenot true. Doing the work to unlearn these harmful messages can be done through educating oneself to heal the hurt and trauma from years of lies and replace them with the truth.

Stroke is a leading cause of disability in the United States, and mental illness affects tens of millions of Americans each year. It is also preventable and treatable. Stroke is the # 5 cause of death in the United States.
New research finds a link between the two, as psychiatric illness is found to raise the risk of stroke. People who have survived a stroke may experience mental health conditions and changes in addition to physical impairment. Their day-to-day lives may also be affected.
Fortunately, many of the disabilities, as well as emotional and behavioral changes caused by stroke tend to get better with time. Treatment and social support are crucial at this time, to help them cope and recover.
Call 9-1-1 right away if you think someone might be having a stroke. Getting fast treatment is important for preventing death and disability from stroke. There are preventable measures and it’s treatable.
I speak about these treatments in the podcast. Let’s explore.

Fighting for mental and emotional health is not simply about reading your Bible and praying more. There are spiritual, mental, emotional and physical components to full recovery and freedom. Many great leaders and prophets in the Bible walked through times of despair, depression, and discouragement—yet God used them regardless. God can and does use whom He wishes.
Also, people are fighting mental health challenges every day when they come to school, work or church and they’re stuck in their challenges. Most of these people have to go to school, work or church feeling like they don’t have a safe place to talk to anyone. They’re not able to talk to anyone because they feel unsafe or trapped, isolated or alone. It doesn't have to be this way.
Feel free to seek help, pray about!

Deadbeat Fathers: A father who neglects his responsibilities as a parent, especially one who does not pay child support. Which can also be a mother. The phrase "deadbeat dad" is a familiar one, and yet it's often misused.
While the word "deadbeat" actually appears in some states' child support guidelines, not all parents who've fallen behind on child support payments are willfully refusing to support their children financially. There're huge financial, cultural and racial issues that are prevalent and ways to compartmentalize, assist, dealing with and correcting the stereotypical behaviors. From the 1970s to the 90s, the federal government implemented multiple harsh enforcement measures within the program. These policies have a long history of punishing people for being people of color and poor. Overall, roughly 15 percent of all men of color in larger U.S. cities have been incarcerated at some point for nonpayment of child support, compared with 5 percent of fathers overall. Men wake-up and take care of your children (period).

Slavery and racism historically prevented and disrupted Black marital unions and continues to plague the Black community and Black relationships today. In the aftermath of slavery, the states denounced courtship and marital arrangements that American Africans devised during slavery and presented Christian heterosexual marriage as a gateway to responsible citizenship, targeting men of color to be social patristical provider and women of color to be subordinate helpmates.
Enter now policies that worked against people of color men and women. It would be these policies that would create an unprecedented displacement of Black families with men being forced to leave their homes to ensure financial stability.
Now for Christians, people have analyzed what the Bible is really telling us and how to interpret it. Many hold tightly to the claim that God’s view on divorce is that it is a sin.

Bullying is a behavior that has historically been linked to kids on the playground, but it can happen among people of any age in any setting—schools, households, workplaces. The main question observers of such conduct have is...why do people bully others?
Bullying is a distinctive pattern of repeatedly and deliberately harming and humiliating others, specifically those who are smaller, weaker, and younger or in any way more vulnerable than the bully. The deliberate targeting of those of lesser power is what distinguishes bullying from garden-variety aggression.
When the narrow of focus, specifically looking at cases of bullying among teens, studies find that 30% of adolescents from 12 to 18 years old say they have been bullied at school, these numbers are crazy right? Let’s take a closer look at the psychology behind bullying.
A report from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) found that one in three students are bullied in school annually. We've all seen the heartbreaking consequences of bullying, which can be as simple as missing school or getting bad grades, to more severe in school shootings and suicide. But where do the bullies themselves come from? This is the 1000-dollar question? Let's take a closer look.

Fatherless children become at risk in higher numbers for everything from incarceration to chemical abuse to suicide. With more than 72% of African American children being born out of wedlock, the impact of fatherless homes in the black community isn't just a trend, it's an epidemic! There needs to be more people of color in therapist roles in their communities, and all communities of people of various nationalities: where people who suffer from and are dealing with mental health can trust those that look like them, feel safe and protected and know that their best interest is in the hand of that therapist.
Children living with a mother only is the second most common U.S. living arrangement, a number that has doubled since 1968. About 7.6 million (11%) children lived with their mother only in 1968 compared to 15.3 million (21%) in 2020 and the numbers have gotten worse.

The Four Adult Attachment Styles may help: This may come as a surprise to some because much as we like to think we’re all in a ‘secure attachment style’ we’re not! It’s human nature to seek contact and relationships, to seek love, support, and comfort in and from others. This is our make-up in the likeness and image of God.
While far too many are proclaiming: what they don’t need these days, they are missing a key element in friendships and relationships. It is a fact according to social psychologist the ‘need to belong’ is one of the main forces that drives individuals. Unfortunately, this new era has driven individuals apart instead of together.
Highly attachment-anxious people often believe they are not worthy of love and care, they worry intensely that other people will reject them, and they spend a lot of time overanalyzing their relationships. Especially, when they experienced false memories from those they can see. Remember Attachment Styles are different from love styles. How We Love helps us understand our history and expectations in relationships, and how to become a Secure Connector. By knowing your Love Style gives you a starting point from which you can grow to become a Secure Connector.

Many different forms of abuse have been known to take place within relationships. Some people think that just because the abuse is not physical, it isn’t a problem. However, other forms of abuse can end up being much more damaging to the victim’s mental health.
Emotional and psychological abuse are both quite distinct from physical abuse, and although they do not leave physical marks, they can be just as destructive. Oftentimes, emotional and psychological abuse lead to anxiety, depression, and addiction—these abusive behaviors make the victim feel at fault and are extremely damaging.

What’s the difference between sexual abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment and rape?
The increasedpublic conversation surrounding sexual assault, harassment, sexual violence and abuse is an important step forward. It’s helping lead a national and global movement that aims to address this prevalent problem, also letting people who have experienced sexual assault know they aren’t alone.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men approximately experience sexual violence in their lifetime.
Rape is a type of sexual assault that includes sexual penetration, no matter how slight, without consent. Although other types of sexual assault may be done by men or women, rape is almost always done by men. Most women who are raped are raped by someone they know, such as a former or current intimate partner, an acquaintance, or a family member. Rape is never the victim's fault!
Report it, report it, report it –please report it!
Therapy can often effectively address the trauma of sexual abuse. You can learn how to identify and understand emotions, restore your confidence, process your memories, develop coping skills, and stress-management strategies by speaking about your experience. Healing and becoming whole again is the goal.

Highly sensitive children have special gifts, as well as unique challenges. Children do not “become” highly sensitive, and there is not much we can do to help our children be less sensitive (other than tactics that would flatten their authenticity and create shame).
They experience emotional extremes; they have bigger reactions to sensory input, they are more prone to meltdowns, they are keenly tuned in to everyone and everything, they have a more intense need for control and can be rigid and inflexible, they are more fearful and cautious in new situations, they tend to have a lower tolerance for frustration, they are prone to perfectionism and have a very hard time losing, they have a hard time tolerating being corrected and they are more self-conscious and easily slighted.
15-20% of the population are born with the “highly sensitive” personality trait that comes with both amazing gifts and challenges; and it is truly dependent on the amount of support and acceptance that one receives whether a highly sensitive person will thrive or experience great difficulty.
For those families that think their child might be highly sensitive, it is important that they become educated on the temperament of highly sensitive kids and shift your parenting strategies accordingly. I did!

Our understanding of trauma and its effects on people is clearer than it was just a few years ago. One key thing we’ve learned trauma is much more common than we once thought. For example, many people with unresolved trauma will turn to drugs, or alcohol to numb themselves to it—and they get addicted in the process. Many other addictions follow, besides drugs and alcohol. We know 75 percent of the female patients report a traumatic event in their past. The male patients, it’s around 50 percent. Those are astounding numbers!
Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event such as an accident, natural disaster, emotional or physical abuse, extreme poverty, chronic social isolation, or war to name a few. It’s a difficult combination to untangle, but we may be getting a handle on it.

While it’s true that every heart loves in its own unique way, there are certain traits that make some people effortlessly lovable. Being an easy person to love involves a delightful blend of qualities that draw others toward you. There are so many different factors that go into the type of people you attract into your life.
People who display traits such as kindness, empathy, compassion, trust and honesty were found to be more attractive than those who had more negative personalities. It shouldn't surprise us that people who are emotionally unstable, frequently moody, irritable or manic, tend to have difficulties in relationships, and are downright toxic.
We all have our flaws and negative qualities, and while most of them are minor inconveniences at worst, there are some traits that make relationships extremely difficult. On the other hand, there are some traits that makes us an easy person to love — imperfections and all. Holy Scriptures are very clear as it relates to us as created beings, I believe it’s undeniable, and encourages the right way to love.

“What to the Slave Is the Fourth July?” by Frederick Douglass is not only a brilliant work of oratory. It speaks to our every frustration spurred by the gap between the ideals of the United States and the reality we witness every day; between the Bill of Rights and our decaying civil liberties; between the USA’s international declarations of human rights and the ordered drone attacks backed by presidential “kill lists”; between the words “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” and a nation that leads the world in jailing its own citizens; between our highest ideals and our darkest realities. Here’s hoping people take the time to read the entirety of Douglass’s brilliant speech; even though his were words that spoke directly to his moment in history, they still ring with an unsettling power. As Douglass says: “Had I the ability, and could I reach the nation’s ear, I would today pour out a fiery stream of biting ridicule, blasting reproach, withering sarcasm, and stern rebuke! For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake.”

America’s Independence Day should be celebrated, but should people of color celebrate when it’s factual that they were not included as a free or independent people? Mr. Douglas didn’t think so. Today many refuse to celebrate, because of the negative slap in the face political and grand standing of white America even in religion. Many say ‘well that was so long ago’, how about listening to today’s political leaders and compare this letter that was eloquently spoken of in those times.

Many African Americans in the United States have been impacted by structural racism since slavery and continue to experience trauma because of health disparities, economic disadvantages, and segregation. Post Traumatic Slavery Syndrome (PTSS) explains why many African Americans continue to experience trauma. PTSS is a condition that exists as a consequence of multigenerational oppression of African and their descendants resulting from centuries of chattel slavery. Looking at history and the inherent long-standing trauma that has and continue to plague African Americans can assist in addressing systemic racism and provide an opportunity to look at holistic restoration. The effects of close relationships on mental health may seem obvious, but what about other types of relationships? Family structures, our friends, and romantic partners and acquaintances' help to increase feelings of belonging. They can also be damaging and blur the line of who our friends really are.
However, the quality of your relationships is really important too. Experts say there’s evidence that negative relationships and social interactions – especially with those you’re closest to – may increase your risk of mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. Personality is an important determinant of many outcomes including relationship satisfaction and psychopathology.
There are three common mental wellbeing problems can affect you and the ones you love:
Relationships and stress
Relationships and depression
* Relationships and anxiety
Whether you have problems with mental illness/health or not, it’s important to value and nurture your relationships, both the old ones and the new.
Anxiety can trigger depression and other behavioral physical and mental health issues. It is especially hard if you are dealing with other personal, work, relationship, or family-related issues. It is okay to ask for help.
Personality is an important determinant of many outcomes including relationship satisfaction and psychopathology. The aim of this work was to better understand the role of personality as it relates to psychopathology with satisfaction as a mediating variable in relationship satisfaction. No study to date has examined whether relationship satisfaction mediates the connection between personality and psychopathology. This was accomplished by; utilizing multilevel modeling in a longitudinal sample of 100 newlywed couples to test the hypothesis that major domains of personality (positive temperament, negative temperament, disinhibition) have a significant effect on relationship satisfaction which, in turn is significantly associated with internalizing and externalizing forms of psychopathology.

PTSD
As much as people might not want to discuss it, it is said, traumatic experiences are not rare. For a long time, it was believed that only those who had served in the military could develop PTSD, but that's simply not true. PTSD can affect anyone who's experienced a traumatic event. If you've experienced an extremely stressful event that's left you feeling helpless and emotionally out of control, you may have been traumatized. Psychological trauma often has its roots in childhood, but any event that shatters your sense of safety can leave you feeling traumatized,
But with new coping skills, you can feel safe again and move on from the trauma.

Many people who struggle with suicidal thoughts feel like they are alone. You would be surprised by how much the Bible talks about suicide. There are several helpful examples of those who took their life and many reminders of hope throughout Scripture. Even though these stories from the Bible are of people overwhelmed by fear, guilt, heartache, illness, pride, disillusionment, deception, and hopelessness, nowhere in God's Word does it indicate that suicide is an unforgivable sin for believers. The Bible is very clear in that the only sin which cannot be forgiven is refusal to believe in Jesus Christ, to include the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
Can a sinner have hope of eternal salvation?
Apart from rejecting God's provision for salvation through the sacrificial death of Jesus, suicide is the worst thing an unbeliever can do. This is so because there is no second chance for salvation after one's death. In the Book of Hebrews, we read: ". . . it is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27-28). And as it is appointed for men to die one time, after this the judgment. So, Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for a redeemed people offered salvation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with thee.

When the festive season feels more overwhelming than it does joyful, your holiday stress level could be at its max. But practicing self-care and delegating responsibilities may help you cope. Stress isn’t inherently good or bad. It’s anything that presents a challenge to your body’s systems, physically, mentally — or both. It can help you excel, achieve goals, and feel motivated.
It can also stick around too long, which may make you feel anxious and overwhelmed.
Don’t let the holidays become something you dread.
Learning to recognize your holiday stress triggers, such as financial pressures or personal demands, helps you control them. With a little planning and some positive thinking, you can find enjoyment during the holidays.

Expert discusses history of generational trauma, coping mechanisms.
According to many therapists and mental health professionals, sometimes trauma isn't derived from a one-time, extreme life event. People are often unaware of the signs of generational trauma, which can include depression, anxiety or distrust of certain groups or institutions.
Community is often crucial in addressing generational trauma. Building community healing spaces is one of the best ways to move through some of that generational trauma.
Breaking free from a trauma bond can be difficult.

How much time do you want to progress?
Let’s talk about race baby, let’s talk about you and me, let’s talk about all the good things and the bad things that can be: The concept of race and identity are relatively new concepts to mankind and connected indelibly to the problems of racism in America. Have things gotten better for people of color, are these concepts harming the people of non-color? As each group strive for progress in life, liberty and the pursuit of equality, is it fleeting? How come one group says they're being threatened by equality and others are claiming they're just a threat to others. Discover when racism appeared and how it managed to infect the minds of millions of Americans. Find out how racism shaped societies since the 18th century and how it changed to become more heinous today than ever before. Learn how people of color are slaves to the white supremacist society, ideological systems, dealing with law enforcement, and political figures even now in the 21st century. Let us not shy away from the discussion of colorism, racism and bigotrism. Sure, many dislike these words, discussions and views; the question still remains: ‘How much time do you want for your progress?’ It’s traumatic, yet, progressive! Many are stuck in the trauma if history and will not be held accountable for their ancestors' ways and knowledge. Yet benefit from the wealth of those that labored sunup to sundown for their slave masters, while they're descendants suffer and struggle. Great stives have been made, no doubt. Yet, in this current climate, it hasn't changed much. It's about time for equality and a candid discussion don't you think?

How is our identity cultivated in our minds and the minds of others? Psychologists state that we must first discover our personal potential then choose a purpose for living. After we've identified how to use our potential, we must find opportunities to implement it in ways that fulfill our sense of purpose. As we age, we continue to develop our identity by reevaluating our potential and realigning our sense of purpose, without the influences of biases.

Our understanding of trauma and its effects on people is clearer than it was just a few years ago. One key thing we’ve learned, trauma is much more common than we once thought. For example, many people with unresolved trauma will turn to drugs oralcohol to numb themselves to it—and they get addicted in the process. Many other addictions follow, besides drugs and alcohol.
75 percent of the female patients we see report a traumatic event in their past. For our male patients, it’s around 50 percent. Those are astounding numbers!
Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event such as an accident, natural disaster, emotional or physical abuse, extreme poverty, chronic social isolation, or war. It’s a difficult combination to untangle, but we may be getting a handle on it.
There’s power in numbers: Group therapy sessions can be quite helpful for allowing people to work through their trauma issues. People hear others’ stories, and they see similarities. They realize they aren’t alone in what they experienced. They feel validated that it was wrong and that it wasn’t their fault. It can be very impactful and liberating when a therapist or counselor helps them realize all that. But hearing it from someone who has experienced the same can be even more powerful.
Let's heal together!

TRAUMA IS AN EMOTIONAL response that occurs when you experience a distressing event, Sometimes, trauma gets passed down through families. Generational trauma isn’t a diagnosable mental health disorder, but it can nonetheless manifest in many different ways and affect individuals and families as a whole for a very long time.
Trauma refers to stress that’s so overwhelming and severe that it impacts your emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and other parts of your well-being, “Trauma is individualistic and is not confined by ethnicity or socioeconomic status. Therefore, anyone can experience generational trauma."
Very little attention has been paid to how structural racism and its consequences may contribute to the intergenerational transmission of depression.
Cumulative trauma is the idea of “historical trauma,” which refers to intergenerational trauma experienced by a group of individuals who have been systematically oppressed in previous generations.
Generational trauma can affect people in different ways. As we look at these 17 signs of generational trauma, know that action should be directed toward policies that dismantle structurally racist institutions and practices, including a mental health care system that is equitable and generate knowledge to understand the intergenerational course of depression among historically racially and ethnically minoritized families.

The five food groups are Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Protein Foods, and Dairy. If there’s one concept health researchers have come to agree on it’s this: What you eat matters!
Why? Because “the composition, structure, and function of the brain are dependent on the availability of appropriate nutrients.” There is clear evidence that diet has an effect on cognitive function later in life.
The foods that we eat do affect our moods, feelings, and cognitive function. A diet focused on fruits and vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains can help to boost mental health. We all need a boost.
Our goals should be a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to help improve our overall mood and general feelings of happiness.

When people think of abuse, it tends to be something physical that leaves visible marks. Yet, emotional abuse leaves invisible wounds that are just as damaging.
Emotional abuse, sometimes called psychological abuse, is a pattern of behaviors where one person subjects another person to nonphysical acts that harm another person's overall ability to function and their mental well-being. A variety of types of emotional abuse have been identified.
Emotional abuse is a type of trauma. Counselling and therapy can help, in fact it's recommended. Some people try self-care which is fine, it's also an important tool in healing from an abusive relationship. A counselor or therapist can help victims process their traumatic experiences and begin the process of healing. Working with mental health professionals, counselors, can help you acknowledge the abuse, rebuild your sense of self, learn how to develop self-compassion, and recognize what healthy relationships look like.

it's helpful for you to be familiar with the signs of cutting. Cutting can become a dangerous habit that’s hard to stop without help. Unfortunately, most teens try to hide cutting, so signs may not be obvious.
Try not to overreact if you think your teen is cutting. We know it’s upsetting, but cutting and self-harm are signs teens aren’t coping well with stress and other emotions.
Ask about the cuts. Teens typically try to hide cutting due to shame and embarrassment. Even so, most teens are relieved when their secret is exposed. If you notice cuts or scars on your teen’s body, don’t be afraid to ask about them.
Try to be patient. It may take time to completely stop cutting. Set a good example. Remember, your teen looks to you as an example of how to handle challenging emotions and stress. by all means, seek help for your family.

Bereavement and Grief
Bereavement is the experience of losing someone important to us. It is characterized by grief, which is the process and the range of emotions we go through as we gradually adjust to the loss. Bereavement affects everyone in different ways, and it's possible to experience any range of emotions. There is no right or wrong way to feel.
Losing someone important to us can be emotionally devastating - whether that be a partner, family member, friend even pets.
If you're uncertain about whether your grieving process is normal, consult your health care professionals. Spiritual assistance is beneficial to people trying to recover and adjust to a death of a loved one. Grief is a strong, sometimes overwhelming emotion for people. Depression:
Depression is classified as a mood disorder. It may be described as feelings of sadness, loss, or anger that interfere with a person’s everyday activities.
While depression is a mental condition, it can manifest itself in physical problems as well. Major depressive disorder is a serious medical illness affecting an estimated 21 million American adults. MDD can look different from person to person, and not everyone responds to medication the same way. For many, their antidepressant may not be working well enough. A large study showed that 2 out of 3 people taking an antidepressant still experienced symptoms of depression.
Here I show some risk factors for depression that can be biochemical, medical, social, genetic, or circumstantial. They include but are not limited to:
Sex. The prevalence of major depression is twice as high in female as in males.
Genetics. You have an increased risk of depression if you have a family history of it.
Socioeconomic status. Socioeconomic status, including financial problems and perceived low social status, can increase your risk of depression.
Certain medications. Certain drugs including some types of hormonal birth control, corticosteroids, and beta-blockers may be associated with an increased risk of depression.
Vitamin D deficiency. Studies have linked depressive symptoms to low levels of vitamin D.
Gender identity. The risk of depression for transgender people is nearly 4-fold that of cisgender people, according to a 2018 study.
Substance misuse. About 21 percent of people who have a substance use disorder also experience depression.
Medical illnesses. Depression is associated with other chronic medical illnesses. People with heart disease are about twice as likely to have depression as people who don’t, while up to 1 in 4 people with cancer may also experience depression.

Bipolar Disorder:
The condition is thought to develop from certain genetic and environmental factors. People with bipolar disorder also have an issue with how the brain handles neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitter deficiencies related with bipolar disorder include serotonin, acetylcholine, dopamine, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), histamine, and norepinephrine or noradrenaline.
People with bipolar disorder will experience severe shifts in behavior, thinking, energy, and mood. The condition is more than just having good or bad moods.
Now is the time to use this knowledge of depressive, hypomanic, and manic episodes to differentiate between the different types of bipolar disorder. As we learn about bipolar I and II disorder and how to identify bipolar disorder and how they differentiate, they key is, diagnosing and treating the condition is essential for patients to live full and healthy lives without fear.

Happiness is an electrifying and elusive state. Happiness is a state of well-being that encompasses living a good life, one with a sense of meaning and deep contentment. Feeling joyful and happiness seems to improve your physical health; feelings of positivity and fulfillment benefit cardiovascular health, the immune system, inflammation levels, and blood pressure, and butterflies with that special someone, among other things. Happiness has even been linked to a longer lifespan as well as a higher quality of life and well-being. So, don’t worry, be happy! Did you know, laughter does the heart good?
Why then this concept of aversion? Research suggests that people can be afraid of happiness. Some people and some cultures prioritize other goals rather than happiness. And they even question the value of happiness or believe that happiness can be unnecessary or even harmful. Listen to the researcher and determine for yourself if happiness is or is not an important piece to you and your wellbeing. Let’s examine together and come to a conclusion. Remember, several countries and cultures participated in the research, so feelings may vary, yet happiness is individualistic or is it collectivistic?

There are a variety of reasons why the time leading up to the holiday season and the holidays themselves can cause anxiety. “Nearly a quarter of Americans reported feeling ‘extreme stress’ come holiday time, according to a poll by the American Psychological Association. Holiday stress statistics show that up to 69 percent of people are stressed by the feeling of having a ‘lack of time,’ 69 percent are stressed by perceiving a ‘lack of money,’ and 51 percent are stressed out about the ‘pressure to give or purchase gifts.’” In addition to the factors of time, money, and gift buying, there are other reasons why people find the holidays to be stressful. Some of these reasons may include:
Family drama
Oftentimes coming together with family can be a trigger and/or a reminder of who is not able to be there
Travel
Weather delays and complications
Typically, family members and close friends
Feeling behind on gift buying, not able to purchase any gifts and sending gifts
Losing the importance's of the Holiday season
Just to name a few. Always seek help if you're feeling overwhelmed and stressed.

Why do people bully others? Some people bully because they know that it gets them what they want.
Others bully because they are deeply insecure.
Bullying may vary from person to person. It is no longer just kids on the playground, it's teenagers at parties, adults on their jobs, or even Church going members. We know it happens in politics all the time. The fortunate bullies the less fortunate, there's gender bullies, and nationality bullies too.
Bullying is a distinctive pattern of repeatedly and deliberately harming and humiliating others most often the weak and lesser in statue.
Working together, recognizing the signs and utilizing the resources we can all make considerable gains in defeating and calling out bullies before it becomes violence, and someone suffers to the detriment of self- harm or worse death.
We know why...? Question now is what are YOU going to do about it?
America does have a Mental Health Crisis; it also has a Gun crisis. Many choose for various reasons not to see, mention or acknowledge the latter, but will openly discuss the former. Those that do discuss the gun crisis is on the very side of defending the 'right to bare arms' and mostly ignore any attempt to compare the two as equally challenging in combating said crisis. Often, it is said the two don't belong in the same conversation, or it is its own conversation. Well statistically speaking and actively they belong in the same conversation because many shooters claim insanity once their apprehended and are standing trial. We can agree that both are huge issues in America and needs attention with real comprehensive approaches to solve the Nations fears and behaviors that exacerbates other health conditions and death. Hope you are able to draw a positive conclusion and assist in changing the minds of humans as it relates to both Crisis in the USA. We all play a role, no matter what side you're on!
When you're awakened in the middle of the night and cannot understand it or figure it out, how about resting in that place; see what God may be saying to your heart. This is what has been my experiences for quite some time, so I decided to listen and capture some of the things being said to me. I recorded it and then formulated into a format that simply I refer to as, 'Intimate Thoughts or Daily Motivators.' We can all use a motivator from time to time as well as a word of encouragement.
These have been a blessing to me, albeit short and sweet, powerful and impactful.
Hope you can take the time to listen and be encouraged and remain faithful by these 'Intimate Thoughts and Daily Motivators.' Cheers!
Physical is non-accidental use of force that results in bodily injury, pain, or impairment.
Physical abuse often occurs alongside other forms of abuse such as financial, sexual abuse and emotional abuse. Physical abusers use their abusive behaviors to control their victims. While anyone can suffer from physical abuse, physical abuse victims are most often women, children and the frail elderly.
While it is never the fault of the victim, victims of physical, sexual, psychological, and emotional abuse often feel shame and guilt over the abuse and hide the abuse from others and never report the assaults or abuse. This behavior needs to stop and must be reported immediately! This abuse or assault usually starts small and can grow to the point of death!
Let's all stop this violence and the perpetrators. Together by faith we can make a change and a difference.
Psychological abusedefinition is typically verbal, mental, or emotional abuse intended to cause damage by undermining a person's well-being, self-esteem, or mental health.
Psychological abuse can be found in both genders and all ages. Studies show that a large percentage of people have reported psychological abuse from an adult when they were a child. Psychological abuse can have various characteristics as well.
The abuse definition is quite simple; being controlled by another person by using the victims' emotions, such as shaming or embarrassment. This is a quick overview of this type of abuse, please take some time to research this abuse or any abuse to arm yourself with knowledge 'so that' you can assist yourselves and others in conquering all the characteristics of psychological abuse. If you have an emergency, please call 911 immediately. It's never too late to seek help.
"Our focus will be on “emotional abuse.” Sometimes, emotional abuse can be so subtle that we don't even realize we're being emotionally and mentally abused by someone's words or actions. This kind of conduct systematically undermines your dignity and leaves you utterly vulnerable and defenseless. Many times, emotional abuse is accompanied with other forms of abuse. Most commonly, emotional abuse is associated with an abusive partner or child abuse. It frequently precedes or accompanies physical abuse in domestic violence cases. Just because there are no physical marks doesn't mean the abuse isn't real and isn't a problem or even a crime.
One can contribute to prevent emotional abuse by making the public aware about the available support services. In some jurisdictions, failure to report child abuse cases are punished either by imprisonment or in the form of a fine. We together can eradicate these abuses to our beloved family members, children, and communities. We must take action now!
When dissociation blocks awareness of pain, it can also obscure the path to healing. You can’t get through life unscathed while always feeling frozen, worried, or shut down by your greatest fears. Dissociation can function as protection, by keeping people unaware of the distress of being traumatized.
Dissociation is not a defense mechanism we use consciously when experiencing childhood abuse.
Studies have linked distinct patterns of childhood trauma to specific eating disorders diagnosis. Eating disorders are a range of psychological conditions that involve disordered eating, including anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa to name a couple. These disorders can have serious medical consequences, and are deeply detrimental to quality of life, they are associated with high rates of mortality. Adverse Childhood Experiences -(ACEs) are associated with many mental and physical disorders later in life and are highly prevalent among those with an eating disorder. This is a very important study because: Adverse Childhood experiences (ACEs), such as ED eating disorders leads to abuse, this is considered a significant public health crisis and are associated with mental and physical health problems later in life.

Roe v Wade discussion.
The Supreme Court is certain to be highly debated and spur further controversy over abortion rights in America.
Overturning Roe exposes a larger proportion of American women to the negative repercussions and mental health consequences of these adverse pregnancy outcomes, with the most deleterious and harmful impact on women of color who already live with inequity on a daily basis in a system imbued with structural racism.
Who would have thought that dealing with the Courts decisions to over- turn Roe v Wade would have a psychological effect some? The organization that represents more than 130,000 psychology professionals in the US warned that the decision was likely to exacerbate the mental health crises.
Are you comfortable with this decision or not? As I share think about your daughter(s) and what they now are facing. Of course, there's varying degrees and opinions as it relates to this issue. I ask is there any winners by this decision?
Workers in America are simply "burnt out" There's a tremendous mandate for happiness as we maneuver through this working journey. I recall parents from yesteryear saying, 'get a job' was that the wrong message for us in this ever so changing world, did they not consider that by the time we were fifty years of age we would "burn out?" We'll not sure, but now the retirement age is like seventy! Our children and their children are going to "burnout" too.
The health and mental behind this a driving force in the medical industry is creating stress and other mental health issues. If we don't get a hold on this the can and maybe become an epidemic. Society has lied to us...more, more and more they say, while we work, work and work to attain (more)! STOP PLEASE your health and life depends on it. Stop chasing the American dream to a point of suicide!
“If you don’t want more, like a promotion or more money, there’s something wrong with you” Perel says. On the flipside,” burnout is a great way to say, ‘Stop. I’m tired of the ’more! ″”
Here’s what Stress looks like for Introverts vs Extroverts, and how each handle it.
"It's more about what drains you and what gives you energy.”
While introverts and extroverts may have different respective processes for practicing effective self-care to cope with stressors, the stress itself will largely be the same for both types of people. The way introverts and extroverts best relieve that stress, though, can vary—and being able to best help yourself requires a certain amount of mindfulness.
Consider taking the test: to first, determine if you're an Introvert or Extrovert; in order to know how to deal with yourself and others.
The value here is that the findings of the test may help you ascertain whether you're more introverted versus extroverted, which can help you understand yourself better.
Where Is the Public Outrage for The Buffalo Shooting? So, I ask: white America, what are you going to do to prevent what happened in Buffalo from happening again?
It has happened again, just as I was recording; poor innocent children's lives were taken.
We are all responsible for the tragedies happening in our country.
This is not your typical happy go lucky podcast content, but it is provoking and raw.
White America, you're not the only ones to blame here, but you must bear some (if not the bulk) of responsibility, it was, it is your sons instigating the mass shootings! No judgement here - only God can judge actions and motivation!
When you're awakened in the middle of the night and cannot understand it or figure it out. How about resting in that place and see what God may be saying to your heart. This is what has been my experiences for quite some time, so I decided to listen and capture some of the things being said to me. I recorded it and then formulated into a format that simply I refer to them as; 'Intimate Thoughts.'
They have been a blessing to me, albeit short and sweet, impactful and powerful.
Hope you can take the time to listen and be encouraged and remain faithful by and through these 'Intimate Thoughts?'
While things have changed in the work force, employers are finding it harder to hire and retain worker in America. Have we stopped to address the real problem in the hiring process?
Have employers done enough to retain the good workers they have? Can Americans actually live on the employers' salaries they are being paid? These questions are the issues we all have to deal with at some point. I attempt to look at the issues and the problem with Americas Labor crisis. We all want some time freedom and not have to stress and fret about work, we want to enjoy our jobs and make a livable wage. But apparently, we got some issues that need to be checked in-order for that to happen. Do your research and examine what might be best for you and your families. Together we can make Americas workforce prosperous for us again and make it desirable for all workers.

Growing up is inevitable. One must grow up. Yet, growing up in a dysfunctional environment is even tougher. Many parents grow up in dysfunction and have passed that dysfunction down to their children and they too have passed that dysfunction right down to their children.
We desire to help change this pattern of dysfunctional hand me downs with healthy strong bonds and relationships that can be handed down.
As children grow, they should be placed in positions to succeed, for life itself can be daunting. To many children are faced with mental health, dysfunctional and chaotic up bringing only to carry these behaviors into adulthood.
We can assist in changing the behaviors so that health healed children can become healthy healed adults. Take a moment to listen and perhaps, you too will gain some in-sight and knowledge to assist a family in need.

Why is voting rights an issue in America in 2022? Why is there such disparity in the way we (America) prosecute people of color and non-color for the same crimes? Voting in this country is a right -not to mention- the many, many folks have died just trying to do their civil duties. When we talk about making America great again - what are we talking about? Great for who and why not for every American? I'm not sure that this can ever be resolved in my lifetime. If politicians continue to cheat, lie and steal they leave all of us victims.
Pamela went through the right channels, did what she thought was right and got sent to prison. The blame fell back on her from the prosecutor, who in-fact blamed the manager of probation who blamed someone else. Making her an example for others as a 'scare tactic' is as old as voting for some! Stop with the foolishness and loose respectfully or win honestly! Too many people's lives are affected by this selfish racist game!
The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Christ came that we might have life and more abundantly. Christ called out the lies that satan attempts to tell us. We have to have a spirit of discernment and the knowledge to recognize the same ole tactics he tries to use against mankind. If you're a follower or not, you are still being and dealing with the attacks of the enemy.
Lies caused many to become victims of Jan. 6th based on senseless lies that were perpetuated by one that was motivated for power. If we're not careful and prayerful we too can fall victim to these lie-based tactics and pay a heavy penalty, not just in there here and now, but for eternity.
Many will not accept truths of God or scripture, I say: "it is a fear thing to fall into the hands of the living God" and " we all must stand before the judgement seat of Christ and give an account of all we've done in this life, whether it was/is good or bad!"
Fatherlessness is an epidemic that Dr. Dwayne, psychotherapist and author, knows all too well. In his work with African American males as a therapist and the product of a fatherless home himself, he has seen first-hand the psychological damage that absentee fathers help create.
"My mother did her best to educate me about the challenges that I would face as a man, but she could not educate me about the role of a father. As I ventured through childhood, I found it difficult to respect and connect with men, my brothers and uncles served as role models, but they could not give me the attention that I needed as a young boy because they had sons of their own."
We'll explore his six observations learned from his practice. It is our hope that they will encourage change, starting with men of color, and encourage communities to adopt the observations.
There are many habits that affect our children that are negative in nature and can lead to trauma. As they grow and these habits are not dealt with or corrected while they are young, they can take these behaviors and traumas into adulthood. As adults, we now have to understand where and why we have these traumas and possible addictive behaviors as we navigate through life. Some seek and find help, whereas others are left to fight a battle that is not recognizable, or they do not know where to look for assistance, so they succumb to the nature of the disease - addition. Understanding and being able to identify '10 habits of being a Highly Sensitive Child' early can assist us in getting a jump-start on correcting many of the traumas that can later in life drive us to additions.
It is imperative for us to understand HSC, trauma and addiction and get the help needed to be victorious as we move forward through life and relationships conquering additions and HSC, while bringing attention to this issue.
While needs like shelter, food, and water are the most important pieces to survival, what comes once you have achieved that? What about when you want to not just survive but thrive, reaching your greatest potential? Achieving self-actualization is about doing just that.
"We're motivated, to meet each of the basic needs listed on the hierarchy in order, meaning that before we can think of things at the top of the pyramid like love, respect, or self-actualization, we have to fulfill lower-level needs like immediate {physiological} and long-term safety."
After we discuss what "self-actualization" is, we'll explore some traits to help you achieve this through some simple steps of fulfilling your dreams.

Mental Health is real and amongst us. the lie-based issues need addressing and corrected with truth-based.
Denver VP of the DPD union blames everyone but himself and the force for crimes rising. No Sir. you take responsibility for lack of hiring and retention. Please do not blame police defunding or reform on the issue police are having.
