In this episode, I chat with Michael Xu about his career both as a streamer and in building products for this market. Subjects we cover include:
Michael was a former streamer on Twitch and content creator on Youtube for mobile games. He then took the insights from his time as a streamer to build Kappamon, which is now a beloved addition to over 400,000 livestream channels on Twitch and Trovo.
With Kappamon's revenue Michael is building his own games studio, Adventure Studios: they create unique mobile games at the cross-section of mid-core RPGs and livestream social interactions with their very own vtuber team. Michael runs his operations out of Shanghai and the company is going from strength to strength; they recently close their seed round where they successfully raised $1.5m.
Interested streamers can check out kappamon.com or on twitter @kappamon_ or for those Vtuber fans, check out vtuber Eoria on Tiktok and Twitter under her handle @eoria_ (same for both platforms).
Finally, the c-walking video that Michael talks about in the podcast can be found here on YouTube. Enjoy!

In this episode, I chat with Bryce Capp about how he built the modern wallpaper company, Milton & King, with his brother Richard. Subjects we cover include:
Bryce is the co-founder and head of product and brand at Milton & King – a lifestyle brand that manufactures wallpaper and fabric for customers across the globe. He was originally a graphic designer and now touches all aspects of the business at Milton & King.
To browse Milton & King’s wallpaper, do visit their website here. The design that Bryce mentions liking the work of is by Tiff Manuell, whom Milton and King have collaborated with.
Although we didn’t discuss this in the podcast, as it was recorded a little while ago, I also enjoyed Milton & King’s recent article on wallpaper trends for 2022; one to read if you are thinking of redecorating soon.
