A guided practice helping you to relax in a grounding experience through mindfulness. As a Mindfulness Now teacher it is important to acknowledge that a beginning in starting to breath deeply and fully can be hard for some.
This 5 minute relaxation practice helps to ground the eyes at the start of a busy day, or as you become ready for sleep. Our sensory selves can be very busy sometimes and this type of connection with the self aids me to start my day, or unwind from a hectic day of schedules and balancing self care.

Have you ever broken down the 24hrs in each day? A helpful technique to explore what your time and space for balance. When did you ask yourself about how much time and space you have for self-care?
Work and sleep cycle can be hard in a family and professional relationship. "Relating to a ship like journey," allows us to pay attention to the ups and downs to the waves of relationships in life.
Self-compassion can be broken down to the identity of the self. What does your sense of self feel like? This is a good beginning. What does it mean to talk from the 'I' perspective? Like, "Am I self-compassionate?" Is today a difficult, or good day?
At Sweet Mental Health asks clients to look at their patterns in the smallest amount of awareness. And, it takes time. Lots and lots of time and forgiveness. Just as I had to do after nearly two decades as a high speed train driver when I ignored the mind and body.
The personal mantra for this practice is, "One moment, one breath and one movement."

This first episode explores a personal mantra: "breath is the doctor within us all; and sleep is the hospital within us to."
As an asthma suffering the breath has been difficult and a superpower. I use a guided breathing exercise to become grounded to practice a short daily exercise which helped. It has really helped with academic schedules and family life.
I also tell you how shift work got the way of my sweet mental health as well. There are also some tips and hints to explore supportive measures to health and wellbeing. An example comes from nutritional, fluid and digital stimulus intake to bring balance ready for sleep.
