The term “angel” means messenger. When Scripture speaks of The Angel of the Lord, it refers not to a created being but to a divine messenger — the pre-incarnate Christ. In these moments, Jesus is seen in the Old Testament, distinct from the Father yet fully God.
This truth affirms the Trinity and reveals God’s intentional plan of redemption. Long before Bethlehem, Jesus was already at work, revealing the Father to men.

We believe in a God who still works wonders. To believe in Him is to believe in miracles—because faith in a supernatural God means trusting that the impossible can happen.
Jesus performed miracles to reveal His deity, show compassion, and teach truth. The believer should never play it safe—Jesus never rebuked anyone for having too much faith, only for unbelief.

We gather not for ourselves but to follow the Captain of our salvation. The gospel is not a message of variations—it is one truth for all, revealed in Christ.
God’s plan goes beyond deliverance; through salvation, He brings many sons to glory. Jesus has conquered our hearts, and as Captain He leads us in victory. Every step of faith is a call to trust His voice, follow His lead, and proclaim His triumph.

We gather not to serve ourselves but to know the Lord and grow in Him. The whole reason for church is to see Jesus more clearly, because spiritual growth is measured by revelation.
When Jesus called Himself the Son of Man, He was showing both His humanity in the incarnation and His divinity as revealed in the prophets. When He is called the Son of God, it speaks of His eternal nature—He did not become the Son, He has always been the Son.
Scripture shows He is uncreated, uniquely begotten, and eternally one with the Father. We are sons by adoption, but Jesus is the eternal Son by nature. Every witness affirms this truth: Jesus is not just Savior—He is God.

We continued our teaching series and Pastor Nelson taught on “Jesus The Word”
The Word didn’t just start existing at John 1:1 and He also wasn’t just quiet all through the Old Testament.
The Word has been existing since before time began!
When the Bible speaks of Jesus as The Word, what it encapsulates is the eternality of the word, the creating power of The Word, the revelatory nature of The Word.
Nothing that is created can hold every other thing that was created. It has to be that which is eternal that must hold everything. He is the one by whom every other thing, visible and invisible, angels and humans were made.
Jesus is God. It is by Him all other things were made and it is through Jesus we see the Father!
A God you don’t truly know you cannot accurately worship. Being in the Spirit is not a mood or an emotional experience—if you only chase feelings, you will miss Him. If the Spirit is in you, then you are in the Spirit.
Worship is anything that shows obeisance, honor, and that your life is lived for Him alone. Songs are not the primary thing, because the Lord hears your heart before He hears your words.
Jesus taught that the man in devotion matters more than the act of devotion. Devotion can be seen, and posture in worship reflects it. If you are born again and you come before God and say “Father, I love You,” that is worship in spirit and in truth.
Revelation is progressive—throughout Scripture we see the Lord revealed consistently. Everyone who belongs to Him is a candidate for the Spirit, and nothing can disqualify you. While not all have the gift of prophecy, every believer can prophesy.
The Spirit within marks our identity, while the Spirit upon empowers us for service. Both are the same Spirit at work in us. The gifts of the Spirit are given for ministry, and every believer should desire them.
Earnestly covet the gifts of the Spirit.
God is the maximal good, He isthe best form of every divine and communicable attribute. He does not become; He is the eternal IS. InGod making us we find our best self in allegiance to Him and when we follow His instruction we are best for it.
As believers, we are called not to think logically alone but theologically, renewing our minds to see from God’s perspective, this is why teaching is essential.
Faith is not only seen in what we get by it but in what we lose for it. Sometimes God delivers us out of trials, and sometimes He delivers us through them, but in all things He remains good, kind, and sovereign. The believer is built to last.

Today, we continue our teaching series as Pastor Nelson spoke on the topic: “Hypostasis: Truly God, Truly Man.”
To confess the hypostatic union is to believe Jesus is truly God and truly man. The eternal Word did not merely appear as human—He became flesh while never ceasing to be divine. In Him are both natures perfectly united in one person.
The incarnation was necessary: divine enough to save, human enough to die, revealing the Father and granting us life with Him. This is the mystery and glory of Christ—God with us.

True worship is never about what we want—it is about honouring the Lord the way He wants to be honoured as revealed in the scriptures.
Scripture shows that only God is worthy of worship—yet Jesus received it, forgave sins, and claimed equal authority with the Father. His disciples confessed Him as God, prayed in His name, and ascribed to Him divine titles. Every witness affirms the same reality: Jesus is not just Savior—He is God.

Creeds, councils, and confessions are helpful, but unlike Scripture they are fallible and reformable in the light of scripture. The Bible alone is God-breathed, infallible in all matters of salvation, and centered on Christ.
Through the councils, the Church defended the truth of God's against error: Nicaea upheld Christ’s divinity against Arianism, Constantinople affirmed the Spirit’s deity, Ephesus rejected Nestorianism, and Chalcedon declared Christ fully God and fully man. Other councils confronted heresies that distorted the faith, always pointing back to Christ.
Sola Scriptura reminds us that God’s Word is unique in nature and in authority. It is our final standard of truth.

The Bible shows that there is a unity within the Godhead where the Father, the Son and the Spirit exist in perfect oneness. Jesus has always been present from eternity and Scripture affirms His divinity.
He called Himself I AM and the First and the Last, titles that belong only to God.
He forgave sins, gave life and declared Himself the Messiah, which the prophets had already described as Mighty God and Everlasting Father. Though He humbled Himself on earth and submitted to the Father’s will, this was in function and not in essence, for He remained fully equal in nature with the Father. The consistent witness of Scripture is that Jesus is not only Saviour and Messiah but truly God the Son, exalted as Lord forever.

Today we were reminded that Jesus is not just a message to believe, but a pattern to follow. One key lesson from His life is that He often withdrew to pray. He prayed about everything from choosing His disciples and even when being baptised. Prayer is the place where weakness is exchanged for strength. In Gethsemane, burdened with sorrow, Jesus prayed until He was ready to face the cross. We too are revived and empowered when we meet with God in prayer. Love for God must show in devotion. Withdraw, pray, and keep your heart burning.
Don’t settle for a lukewarm faith. Let the prayer lessons from Jesus set you ablaze again.
Breaking spiritual lethargy begins with embracing prayer as an act of humility and alignment with God’s design. Prayer is not just a discipline—it is dependence. If Jesus, the Pattern Man, prayed, then we must pray. A prayerless life is prideful, and pride distances us from God.
True prayer births strength, freshness, and trust in God’s sovereignty—even when He feels distant. When routine dulls your fire, revelation revives it. Don’t wait to feel like praying—choose to pray. In that decision, spiritual strength returns.

In the Law is bondage, in Christ is freedom. In the law is veiled faces, in Christ is unveiled faces!
As we behold these truths, we are being changed and transformed by the Spirit of God. Christ is revealed through scriptures and the Spirit helps us to see Him. The Spirit reveals Him to us!
We shouldn’t read or listen to the word alone, we should read and listen prayerfully.
In prayer we step into sight. We ask the one who is origin of the word, the one who inspires the word to take us into the experiences He spoke about in His word!

The Holy Spirit is not a creature but the creator, fully divine. Just as the Father and the Son are God, so is the Spirit: co eternal and co equal. He is not a force or a feeling but fully God— eternal, holy, and worthy of worship.
He is more than a presence we feel; He is divine, a person, God and is at work in our lives transforming our hearts and conforming us to the image of Christ.

Today, Pastor Nelson shared on the power of the Holy Ghost. In the Old Covenant, only a few had access to the Spirit prophets, kings, and judges, but now, every believer has been empowered.
This fulfils Moses’ desire in Numbers 11 and the prophecy in Joel 2:28 that God would pour out His Spirit on all people, without limits.
The Holy Ghost equips us for service, brings utterance, and stirs boldness. We are called to earnestly desire spiritual things, because pursuit reveals passion.
The gifts of the Spirit are not just signs,they are tools God uses to bless and reach others through us.

We get to see the object of our affection again and this is the promise of the Christian life! We will see the one we love more than the solutions to our issue. We will see the one who is bigger than all our problems.
The resurrection from the dead was a demonstration of power!
We have something better in resurrection and we can only see it in revelation.
It is through the Spirit that Jesus was raised. The Holy Spirit is the agent of resurrection. Because of the Holy Spirit, resurrection power is at work in our lives.

The Spirit of God is at work in us both to will and to do, we have been empowered by the spirit!
The way to put a death the appetite of the flesh is by the Spirit.
We must understand that sin is not just wanting bad things, it can also be wanting good things badly.
The more you gratify the flesh, the more you are a slave to sin. It is also in the same way, the more you gratify the Spirit and the things of God, the easier it is to live for God and do His will.

The work of the spirit is to testify of Jesus. He is a spirit of truth, He continues and sheds more light on the things Jesus has taught!
The mind of Christ is the faculty given to the man in Christ to know the things of God. We understand the things of God because we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16
Ephesians 3:4. In the apostles being led into all truths, we can now be led into all truths by reading their letters. The Holy Spirit revealed each of them for us. It was not reviewed to us but for us!
To be marked by the Spirit means to be identified as God’s own, sealed, branded, and set apart by His presence within you. It is not primarily about speaking in tongues or having emotional moments, but about receiving the promised Holy Spirit through faith in Christ.
This Spirit is the guarantee of your salvation, the agent of sanctification, and the proof that you belong to God. Just like circumcision marked the people of God in the Old Covenant, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit marks believers in the New covenant.

When people are not mature or properly taught, they can be deceived. Doctrine matters.
Doctrine shapes the disciple. People will grow based on what they have been fed, so we must be intentional about what we receive.
Christianity is not a free-thinking club; there is a right way to live our lives. We must always be conscious of the fact that we will give an account at the end of this life.

The message emphasizes that there are two kingdoms at work, and God is looking for those who will stand for His cause. God’s will shall be done, and those who partner with it will see His help. Philippians 3:14 reminds us that as believers, we have a prize set before us and must align with God’s will. We live with intentional conduct because we know we are accountable to God, who is the moral standard above all. This accountability shapes how we live, think, and act, and it all ultimately glorifies the One who gives us life.
We must run this race to win, being temperate in all things, knowing there are eternal rewards. Soul-winning is part of God’s plan, and wherever believers are, they are agents of His kingdom. We are running for gold, living our lives as unto the Lord.

True giving isn’t just about the act,it’s about honour for the Lord and the posture of the heart. In the Old Testament, sacrifices weren’t only about sin, they were also acts of honour. God sees the heart, not just the offering.
Giving and doing good please God, whether He responds immediately or not. Giving is a privilege that sanctifies unto the Lord.
The message was clear: It’s more blessed to give than to receive. May the Lord give us discernment in giving, don’t give what you’re meant to keep, and don’t keep what you’re meant to give.
Spiritual warfare goes beyond what we see,it’s about unseen battles for influence. The spiritual realm overlaps with our reality, and as believers, God’s business has become our business. When we pray and fast, we’re aligning our hearts with God’s purposes.
Prayer isn’t just routine; it’s dependence on God. Fasting isn’t just about food,it’s focusing your heart on what truly matters and preparing yourself for what God wants to do.
The message was clear: Turn to prayer and fasting in times of challenge. Don’t ignore any nudge to seek God, it might be more significant than you realize.
We kicked off our Mid-Year Retreat themed Operating Priesthood with a powerful session from Pastor Nelson. He shared deep, spirit-stirring truths about how God chooses to work through men and spirit beings—not out of need, but by divine will. Heaven is closer than we think, and Scripture reveals the profound connection between the spiritual and physical realms.
From Genesis to the New Covenant, we see a God who steps directly into His plan—not distant, but deeply involved. As believers in Christ, we are not powerless. We’ve been washed by His blood and filled with His Spirit to live boldly and resist every form of darkness.

God’s plan is that we are radical together. That we burn together. It is an anomaly to be a Christian without a heart for ministry.
Devotion should lead to transformation.
At the end of devotion is a better me and God glorified.
Don’t practice devotion in contradiction.
Growth must be whole.
God wants you charismatic and moral. He wants you to honour ministry gifts and honour your parents. Once you’ve received the love of God, you lose the right to live for yourself.
God’s glory must come first in our lives. When we truly listen to His Word, it should stir a transformation deep within our hearts. Without understanding the rules of engagement, there can be no real victory.

Because your Heavenly Father is holy, you can live holy.
Conduct is the natural outflow of revelation.
Salvation is a miracle of changed desires — your heart has been made tender toward the Lord, and now the Spirit is at work in you to will and to do.

Many times, laying up treasures in eternity means destroying treasures on the earth.
The world may regard what we lose in our pursuit of God as loss, but for us, it is profit because we have found a treasure of inestimable value—
and this treasure is worth more than anything. So, we run after Him: God.

Throughout Scripture, we see that when believers united in prayer and purpose, the supernatural was released. The gathering of the saints strengthens us, reveals God’s presence, and allows every member of the body to contribute and grow. Community is where fullness and transformation happen.

At our 5-hour prayer meeting, Overturn, Pastor Nelson shared a powerful charge on Hindrances to prayer:

Selfish Motives– Praying with self-centered desires places us at the center instead of God.

Unbelief– God gives freely, but we must ask in faith. The issue isn’t His giving, but our receiving.

Under-Praying / Spiritual Warfare– Like Elijah and Jesus, we must persist in prayer. Don’t quit too soon.

Sin– God accepts the man before the sacrifice. Cain’s offering lacked what Abel’s had—purity. Don’t come before God with strife or unrepentant sin.
Prayer is not time wasted, but time invested.
God’s goodness is more than kindness—it reveals His very nature. To call Jesus good is to declare Him as God. His justice and judgment flow from His goodness, and even when we don’t fully understand, we can trust Him completely.
Fellowshipping with the Good God transforms us—His goodness shapes our lives and reflects through us. And our response? Thanksgiving. Not just for what He’s done, but for who He is. The cross remains the ultimate display of His goodness.

The Bible shows us how intentional God is and how all gifts he gives are good. Nothing God ever does is mere or unimportant. This includes also the gifts of the Spirit. Isaiah 66:1 describes the heavens as His throne, and the earth His footstool. This gives a picture of how great God is. Comparable to none. In this teaching, we learn that the opposite of God is blank, and because of how majestic God is we believe there is nothing impossible for him.
This sermon lays emphasis on the greatness of God and the fearful application of this in our lives as His children.
God is consistently merciful, this is His nature. We see many instances in the Bible. In the story of Nineveh, in the psalms David wrote; God is Just, slow to anger and merciful in spite of the inconsistent nature of man. The ultimate show of His Mercy is in the salvation story. Now in prayers, when we see how helpless and frail we are as humans, we must rely on the mercy of God.

To fear the Lord is not just to be afraid of Him, but to also revere Him. The fear of the Lord is a profound, adoring respect that draws us to Him, not away. The fear of God boosts our confidence in approaching Him and is the starting place for intimacy with Him.
It means to hold Him in high esteem, to hallow Him, to adore Him above anyone and anything else. When we fear God, we take on His heart, do what pleases Him, depart from evil, walk in humility, obey His word, and respect authority.
True worship cannot exist without awe—this fear includes trembling at His presence and at His word.

Sovereignty is not merely a character trait of God—there is no attribute per se but it is a nature that is a necessity arising from the fact that God exists.
God's attribute is that He rules over all; He is not a force but a person who is able to work all things according to the counsel of His will. God is King over your life to the extent that you allow Him.
It takes a sovereign God to give man freedom and yet still remain in control.

God is the one who knows no boundaries or limitations! In the realm of God, possibilities are a norm!
God is good, not just because the end will be good but also because the means will be good.
We serve a God who knows no boundaries NOR limitations!
There is no such thing as ‘ALL’ of Gods power - God’s power cannot be quantified.

It is a blessing to know that in this changing world, there is a God that is unchangeable his love is still the same, His mercy, His glory, His power, all never changing!
Immutability means unchanging. Applying this to God, it means God never differs from Himself. He is unchanging. He is the perfect being that there is, that is why He is immutable.
The most perfect being; God, cannot become any better even the best drawers it’s best from Him. With man, change is inevitable but with God, change is impossible. God is the first and the last. Hebrews 13:8
When the Bible says ‘the Lord repented’ or ‘remembered’ it is using anthropomorphic attributes. This limiting terms are used to highlight God’s love, not to limit Him, it is to limit his nature for our own understanding.
The validity of any information is based on who said it and God’s words are not mere words, they are backed by His power and His character. The word of God is powerful because of the one who said it is eternal and unchangeable.

God’s jealousy is never rooted in vices (Galatians 5:20); rather, it flows from His deep love for us (2 Corinthians 11:2). He desires to protect us from the idols that can take root in our hearts because we are at our best when we follow him and we are at our worst when we follow our appetite and emotions alone.
The wisdom of God is protective and the God who is a jealous God is the all wise God. His omnibenevolence shows that He is protective of you. Anything He tells you to do, do it because it is for your good.

Even in God’s wrath and justice, we see God’s goodness. He was patient with humanity, giving man ample time to turn from their wickedness before executing judgment. God is just, and His justice is never severe or unjustified—rather, it follows His long-suffering nature (Romans 2:15).
The destruction of the Canaanites was not an act of genocide but an expression of God’s righteous judgment (Deu 7:1-2; Deu 20:16-17). What we sometimes perceive as harshness is, in reality, an extension of God’s goodness— when God sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, it was an act of mercy—their escape from damnation. Ultimately, through Jesus Christ, God has provided a way of escape for all who have believed.
The story of Abraham and Isaac wasn’t about cruelty—it was a picture of Jesus. Abraham trusted God completely, believing He could even raise Isaac from the dead (Genesis 22:1-5, Hebrews 11:18-19). This was a foreshadowing of God sacrificing His Son for us.
God’s judgment is real, and we can’t ignore it. Stories like Sodom and Gomorrah and Noah's flood reminds us that a final judgment is coming. But through Jesus, we have escaped judgement.

God's wrath isn't separate from His love, mercy, and justice; it's a demonstration of His holiness, righteousness, and jealousy. As Hebrews 10:30 reminds us, those who break the law will be judged.
God is merciful to the repentant and wrathful to the unrepentant. God judges by His own standard, and no one can meet them except you're covered by Jesus' atoning blood.
God's wrath is not the absence of God, but the presence of His majesty to judge, often provoked by humanity's wickedness (Genesis 18:25-26).

Everything is good to the degree to which it conforms to God, and everything is evil to the degree to which it does not conform to God.
No attribute of God conflicts with any other attribute of God. He is as good and just when He rewards good as He is good and just when He recompenses evil with justice.
If God is just, and the message of His severity against sin and His punishing of the guilty is clear, how then is the Christian message that God is justifying the unjust?
The only answer is Mercy. God, in His divine mercy, decided to die on the cross for us.

Christianity is between God and man, but God must always be the main focus because He is eternal and we are limited. We cannot live for ourselves neither can we leave for Men.
God exist for himself and Man exist to give God glory. If anything we do is done away from God’s plan, we are declaring sufficiency in ourselves instead of being dependent on the creator.
Our giving, our honour, our love is reciprocal; God is the one that First gave and everything we do is all replicating the goodness he first showed to us.
You cannot separate the Aseity of God from the rightful dependence of man.
The rightful posture of the created to the creator is worship. The rightful posture of that which is time bound to that which is eternal is worship!
Sin wants us to choose self over God. It wants us to pick us not God.
The moment we recognize that we are dependent on God, only then can we continue to live the way God expects us to. We must recognise God as our only source.

When the quality of our worship diminishes, it often reveals that our view of the One we worship isn’t grand or majestic enough. Our God is both majestic and deeply personal; ever present with us. Through the Old Testament, we see Jesus being foretold. Beginning at Moses, through the psalms and in the prophets. Jesus fulfilled 48 of these prophecies. Repeatedly, Jesus and the New Testament writers rested the credibility of their message in the Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament. These prophecies were all fulfilled in Christ.
In this sermon we learn about these prophecies and their fulfilment and we see that salvation has been God's plan from the very beginning. The salvation plan is not an interruption or a plan that came by chance. Through all these prophecies, we see the intentionality of God.

The blessing of Abraham is not only upon Isaac, but also on those who put their faith in Christ. The one who blessed Abraham was greater than Abraham. For Melchizedek to have a blessed Abraham, it is Proof that he was higher than Abraham. Melchizedek was a figure of Jesus in the Old Testament. He was a shadow of the Messiah. Abraham was called a friend of God, because righteousness was imputed into him for his belief. As long as we believe in God, we are friends of God.

A Christian is not just someone who believes in Jesus but someone whose mind is renewed and sees from God’s perspective. Christianity is the light by which we see every other thing. One important thing to know is that bad things don’t just happen to good people but to everyone but in different variations. The world we live in is fraught with storms, challenges and issues. Perseverance in prayer does not indicate a lack of faith or an attempt to encourage God. To continue in prayer implies to stay. A man who takes the word of God to heart is one who does the word of God and is blessed by it. Your Christian experience should always be in line with the revelation of God’s word. Praying should be beyond a practice for us to share our needs and move on, there is a way to pray and this can be taught. God’s original design is for men to always pray. Prayer is humility, it is acknowledging God’s infinitude and man’s finitude. To be regenerated is to be born again. This is a very popular phrase in Christianity. We live and were born in a fallen world, with the sin nature at work, estranged from God. However, by placing our faith in the resurrected Jesus, we get regenerated, stony hearts made flesh and now we can engage with the affairs of God and fellowship in the Spirit. This life we live now, we live regenerated by the Spirit at work in us.

Knowing the reason why we do certain things as Christians helps to amplify the importance. Having established the biblical fact that we have been saved into a family with responsibilities, it is essential to know why we gather as a family and church. When we meet have the opportunity to fellowship with God as one body and to establish a close knit of love, edifying ourselves, and stirring each other into good works. We are always better when we fellowship with others, doing the Christian life in isolation is not God’s idea.

The word of God is not a tool we use when it’s convenient, God plans that from His word we are taught and instructed to be solid Christians. The message of Gospel is that God in his infinite mercy and love for us sent Jesus to die for our sins. The death, burial and resurrection of Christ is the crux of our faith.
