It's that time of the year again - SEASON PREVIEWS ARE HERE! First division under the microscope and it's nonother than the animalistic Atlantic Division. In today's episode, we will conclude each team's last NHL campaign, go over their off-season action, check the outlook for the upcoming season and of course, I'll also give my final verdicts before announcing my final standings predictions (which are coming within the last season preview episode). No rest for the wicked. Free agency update coming up! This week's agenda will focus on the ongoing off-season and the contracts that have been signed since the Lord Stanley trophy was awarded to the Vegas Golden Knights. Every signing and contract extension will be covered, so as you could imagine - I have something to say about few of the deals that were signed and therefore, some fireworks should be expected. Prospect festival breakdown inbound. The new top names of the NHL have now been drafted so it's time to check out which names stood out from the crowd during the two days of name calling. The best and worst moment of the hockey season is upon us - the Stanley Cup Finals. Hey, and welcome back!
In this week's episode, we are going to take our first look at the best performing NHL affiliated prospects, while also in the process highlight the top names for the upcoming draft classes that have popped off so far this year as well. We will go through the top North American Junior Leagues (Canada: WHL, OHL & QMJHL, the US: USHL & NCAA) as well as the top leagues in Europe (DEL, NLA, Extraliga, Allsvenskan, SHL & Liiga) while also checking out the Swedish and Finnish top junior levels. Few Russian prospects have also impressed in the early season, so those guys will get their moments as well, but the main focus will be in the leagues mentioned above.
So, lots of prospect talk inbound, 'cause I wanted to include this kind of preview episode ahead of the U20 World Championships so that, if need be you are able to listen to this episode and learn bit more about the possible participants. But at the same time, it was nice to check their progress at this stage of the season, since some guys are going to make their moves to professional scenery already next year and we are going to come back to this topic later on in the spring, so we will have some base to compare to once that episode is upon us.

Great to have you back!
Pre-season is currently in a full effect as teams are trying to figure out their rosters for the upcoming season, which means that we will catch upon the latest headlines from the past week and after that move on to check out our main topic of this episode - the biggest draft steals from the early 2000's which will include every draft class from year 2000 all the way to year 2010.
The expectation is that once you come back next week we will have another exciting guest episode under the wraps and when the NHL rosters have been finalized the season previews are going to come out so big episodes coming up in the near future.

Ready for some free agency coverage from the mighty NHL?
Well, even if you aren't here it is. And sorry for lying straight from the get-go. The aim was set but the execution went sideways, but hopefully you won't be bothered by the episode length.
As you can see from the title - 2/2 main objectives accomplished for the off-season: last week - full trade coverage and this week we will cover all the major signings that have gone down so far + the trades that didn't get any attention last week (pretty big blockbuster went down couple weeks ago, so you can expect to hear about that in this week's episode).
Lots of names and figures inbound so you might as well turn this episode into a drinking game of your choice and if you want to get hammered, I would advise you to take a shot each time I'm mentioning AAV, cap hit or deal but the choice is totally yours bud.
As the last note, I want to inform you that I'm going to take few weeks of to spend some time with the family before the summer is over and freshen up my mind before we start to hammer in another NHL season. I might make a small episode because of the U20 World Championships which are starting next week, but don't expect to see new episodes each week until you get the notification for the new episode. NHL off-season officially underway and that shows in the episode length as well.
Action packed episode up ahead where we don't have time for anything else than prospect and trade talk. All the major off-season trades under the microscope (Matheson - Petry/Poehling & Marino - Smith trades were announced as I was editing this episode, so they were left out, but I can assure you, the rest are all in there so please excuse me).
Also, the draft analyst is in full effect where all first round picks are under review and the biggest steals/value picks have been brought up as well, so there should be something for each fan base (except you Vegas fans, you are in a league of your own).

Hello there!
Because of multiple requests the part 2 of the mental healt series is now finally out!
In today's episode, I'm going to go deeper into my own mind and describe to you the hardships I faced mentally before deciding to call it quits in 2017. If you liked the previous episode and are eager to hear about my thoughts from that time, this is the right episode for you. We are going to go through the first injury, its' effects, the dark places I visited during the mentally toughest times and also some dry humour is going to light up the atmosphere at some points.
Alongside that topic, we are going to take a look at the Stanley Cup finals and review the series between the Avs and the Bolts.

Bring out the champagne, 'cause today we are going to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of this podcast. Big thank you belongs to you my dear listener as well, since you've stuck with me and by that, have supported this journey more than you can imagine.
It's been an exiting year filled with new challenges and lots more to come, but I'm eager to see what the future holds and I really hope that you will be a part of it as well. This is only the beginning and I can promise you that great things are ahead for us in the future. So once more, thank you for the support you've given me and I really hope that I've provided value for you with each new episode.
When it comes to this week's topic, right after the prelude we are going to take a quick glance at the ongoing NHL playoffs, mention few notable news surrounding the league and the main topic today is going to be a recap for the teams that didn't see any post season action this year. We are not going to go too much into details on why that was the case for these teams, but I will just quickly point out their current situation related to this year's performance. We will also take a look at my predictions concerning the breakout candidates and some of my hot takes.

Annual draft preview is on the horizon and boy did it take longer than I expected.
Top entry draft prospects are under the review - strenghts, weaknesses and possible future upsides included. Mock draft is coming closer to the actual draft so stay tuned for that on a later date.
These are always fun to make and it was good to catch up to pace, when it comes to current rankings around the different scouting agencies.
And as a Habs fan, this is going to be the highlight of the year 2022 for one specific reason... and quick first round glimpse is also included in the episode, while the main attractions are going to be the young guns of the 2022 draft class.

Ready to check on the current NHL standings ahead of the post season? Likewise brother.

Cancelled - well, that won't stop me. Oh BABY! Another cherry popped and this time, you get to know - with whom. Despite probably anticipating a guest from the hockey scene, this guest kicks balls for a livin' , but knows something about hockey too. My good friend Ilmari Niskanen joins us from Scotland as we discuss topics surrounding his own career, overall differences in top European leagues, training, his love for the New Jersey Devils and lastly he gets to be the first guinea-pig on my stable guest episode questionare, so you have to stay until the end to find out, how he eventually handles it.
Very different episode from the previous ones and the quality unfortunately isn't quite up to normal standards because of the software we were using, but don't get scared at the start - it gets better after the first few minutes.
