Passwords are the entry tool to our devices, social media accounts, online banking and even our digital medical accounts. Effectively, they are used in the same way that we use a key or fob to enter our homes, work premises and cars.

Despite the importance of this, 57% of people who have already been scammed in phishing attacks still haven’t changed their passwords.

Cyber-attacks cost UK manufactures up to £25,000 last year

In a recent report it was revealed that just under half of Britain’s manufacturers have been the victim of cyber-crime during the last 12 months, after thousands of organisations moved their staff to remote working when the Covid crisis struck. 

In this episode we delve deeper into the reasons behind why cybercriminals are targeting this sector and the risks facing businesses who supply to or trade with manufactures. Cyber Inside Out – Episode 7 now available
This episode focuses on guidance for the farming and agricultural sector and is hosted by Chris White. In this episode, Chris was joined by Rob May Presenter, Speaker and Director of Ramsac IT and Emily Trevillion, a Cyber Crime Detective with the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit. Farming in 2021 sees many farms relying on GPS mapping, soil sensors, drones, and automated tractors, and with each of these, an opportunity for cyber criminals to strike.

Most of today’s farming equipment has incorporated sophisticated software that allows for better data control, transparency, and safety through curated software-security designs. With such advances in technology, must come advances in using and adopting robust security protections.
