Murphy spent several decades building and operating various media businesses, selling his latest venture just months prior to the Covid outbreak. The Wall Street Journal just came out with a story on how small child care businesses have either shut down or been so destroyed, that big players are coming to the rescue! Did you see that one coming? Destroy the little guy so the big guy can swallow them up! That's what these overarching covid policies have done to small business.

Governments don't create anything, but they can sure screw things up. Just look at the ports in California and some of the ridiculous regulations that have resulted in some of what we are seeing...like hundreds of ships anchored offshore with goods they can't offload.

Mexican bureaucrats are screwing up their tourism business, by mandating useless tests and other things that we know haven't worked in the past, but let's try them again! I revisit a 2012 article that is sourced to the CDC regarding H1N1...they revised the death counts from the 2009/10 pandemic by 15X to 30X higher. At the higher end of the range, we'd be in the current range of close to 600K deaths in the USA.
Actual death data from Illinois is just one example of how the concern people have regarding covid is completely nuts. You'll be shocked. That doesn't stop authorities in Mexico from imposing new travel mandates that will simply cause this financial pain to continue for their people.
