Awhile back, I caught up with the Oklahoma head coach Skip Johnson to talk about his thoughts on the 25 campaign. Randy Heitz and I played some of this interview on a live show, but here it is in the entirety. We talked expectations heading into this past season opposed to how things ended. Also talked about losing the weekend rotation, guys they are looking to to fill that void in 26, and a solid core for next year including some recent portal additions and Drew Dickerson's emergance.
Myrick talks about Joe Castiglione's departure, what "Joe C" meant to him as OU's AD, which of course cannot be discussed without the run of 2000. And OU winning the title. The Bob Stoops hire that was the catalyst to that title, and Red October that will live as one of the greatest runs in CFB history. Also, other sports on Joe Castiglione's watch and the gratitude OU fans should have for one of the most consistent tenures in history... but he feels both sides were ready for a change.
