This week I'm joined by Karen Gibb, the founder of Mind Marvels.

Pull up a seat and join us for a chat about our own experiences with anxiety; mental well-being in children; and how our education system might better serve and reflect the truest wish we all have for our kids: To be happy.

Mind Marvels was created in response to ever-increasing emotional well-being issues to provide practical strategies and calming tools for children. Sessions were increasingly in demand and Karen then set up her wellbeing franchise to support even more children; the Mind Marvels Franchise. As an experienced teacher and an anxious person herself, she now makes a direct, positive impact on young people and their emotional well-being through school and nursery sessions.

For this first episode I'm joined by Rich Davies, entrepreneur and founder of the charity, Bowel Bro.

In this podcast, we discuss the idea of mental resilience, in life, business, and specifically in the face of catastrophe. Rich explains how his past experiences and stoicism have helped him cope with the unthinkable situation he's found himself in, at the age of just 36.

A few months ago Rich was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel cancer, and given 3-6 months to live.

After the extreme, Hail-Mary "Mother Of All Surgeries" was presented as an opportunity to potentially save his life, Rich embarked on multiple rounds of the 4 most poisonous chemotherapy drugs available to try and shrink his tumours, hopefully making him eligible for the surgery.

Rich talks us through his journey, the lessons learnt, and the legacy he wants to leave behind.

To support Rich's awareness campaign please follow his BowelBro journey via the links below:
