In this message, we explore the purpose and significance of the gifts of the Spirit together with some of the common hurdles that can keep us from walking in them.
In this message we explore the issue of being Baptised in the Holy Spirit. We consider the different views held on this position, but also that whatever your view, the main emphasis of the New Testament is to go on asking for and receiving more of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is living in us, reminds us that we belong to God and sets us free from sin.
In the first message of a new series about the Holy Spirit, we consider how we live in the ‘now’ age of the Spirit, and yes also the ‘not yet.’ How we are both encouraged to go on being filled with the Spirit, and expect for more, yet at the same time understanding that there will be a day when we experience God’s presence fully.
This Sunday marked our 3rd year as a church on Rotterdam. In this message we reflect on the past, giving thanks for what God has done amongst us, and together look ahead to what the future could hold.

In the West, we often struggle to accept the concept of spiritual opposition, especially when it takes the form of the Devil or demons. In Ephesians 2:11-22, Paul urges the Ephesian believers to “remember” both where they once were, and where they now are. They were excluded but now they have been radically included. In this message we explore how fully accepting these truths can impact our lives and our church, creating confidence, humility, compassion and gratitude.
Vahe looks at Ephesians 2:1-10, particularly zooming in on verse 10. He explains the structure of the paragraph and how God’s power in us is greater than any other power, freeing us from sin and empowering us to walk in good works. Vahe explains how God has prepared these good works for us before the foundation of the world and how our life is bursting with meaning and purpose.
In this message we look at Paul’s desire for believers to understand just how bad things were without God, and how good things are and will be with him. We consider Paul’s encouragement to live out our lives in light not simply of what God has done, but in view of what he promises to do going forward. We need to go ‘back to the future’ so we can see just how good he promises to be.
In this message Sarah looks at Paul’s prayer for the Church. In particular we consider how Paul prays that we would know Christ more and that the Holy Spirit would reveal to them their calling, their inheritance and the power available to them.
In this message we explore being assured what our inheritance in Christ is, and how it changes our priorities and perspective. Without such confidence we easily drift into lifestyles indistinguishable from the world.
Dave Holden zooms into Paul’s understanding of Christians indwelt by treasure (2 Corinthians 4). Dave reminds us to have a sober view of ourselves (jars of clay) and at the same time upholds our value as containing a treasure of incomparable value (the life of Jesus in us).
If that treasure was available to one of Christianity’s worst enemies (Paul), then the indwelling treasure is available to all.
God consistently speaks into Joshua courage, strength and boldness. He knows that for Joshua to step into all that God has for him, he will need faith. In this message we consider how to live lives more shaped by faith than by fear.
In this message Tim looks at the story of Jonah and how we see a man who runs away from God’s calling, finds himself in a storm, but through it all is pursued by a God of compassion and mercy.
In this final message about walking through change, Phil talks the importance of leaving well, acknowledging loss and choosing what we take with us into the future.
The difference between ‘getting out’ and ‘getting in. Why was it that Joshua’s generation managed to step into the inheritance that God had promised, and yet the generation before didn’t? In this message we consider the importance of cultivating a receptive heart that can respond with more faith than doubt when it comes to following Jesus.
In this mini series we are looking at how to navigate seasons of change. In Joshua 1 the Lord speaks to Joshua and tells him it is time to move and inherit the land. In this talk we consider the importance both as a church family and as individuals, of seeking God’s guidance and learning to hear his voice.
