Hey everyone, it's Linda! Welcome to this week's episode of Ophelia On Fire. Today, we're getting real about friendships between men and women—what makes them tick, why they're awesome, and how they're often misunderstood. I've titled this episode "My Boys" because, let's be honest, who doesn't love a good squad?
In this episode, I'm going to share some stories from my own life. But that's just the beginning.
We'll dive into some myths—like, does it always have to turn romantic? Spoiler alert: nope! And we'll discuss how these friendships have helped us grow, learn, and laugh.
So grab your favorite snack, settle in, and let's get to know "my boys"! Trust me, this episode is going to be a blast. See you on the other side!
Do you have a bestie of the opposite sex? Can you relate? :=
Let me know <3
In this episode I am sharing how hardships can actually shape us and make us stronger.
Life happens and it's not gonna be always rainbows and butterflies, yet, how we decide to react can truly impact the quality of our lives.
If you are sad right now, if things are not going your way, just know that you are building up for better things to come.
Life isn't getting easier, we are just getting better at it.
Cheers!
xx

Don't take yourself too seriously, laugh more and worry less.

In this episode I had the pleasure to chat with Marie, a woman that I have always admired for her energy, her growth mindset and her strong will power that has truly influenced me in the way I think.
Marie is Marketing Executive with over 15 years experience growing love brands including TAG Heuer, NIVEA, Schwarzkopf, Omio and more recently share, the social impact brand.
Originally from Benin, West Africa, Marie has studied and lived in many cities before finally establishing her base in Berlin, where she now lives with her husband and their 3 children.
As a leader topics including self-development and people empowerment are very close to Marie’s heart. That’s how we met back in 2020, first at a Marketing Meet Up in Berlin and then built the relationship through mentoring sessions Marie started to offer online during COVID.
This episode is a reflection of mine love the past 6 months (6 months having this podcast wow!)
Challenging my self to change the narrative, the story that I tell my self about that happens in my life.
Somehow I fall by default in a negative state of mind and most the time how I perceive things, is NOT how things are.
But yet, I give myself a negative experience, not allowing myself to feel happy and grateful because I don't feel comfortable with things actually being good and working for me.
This is a self observation I recently had and it might resonate with you too ;)
Enjoy

In this thought-provoking episode, I delve deep into the complex dynamics that arise when Venus and Mars collide. John Gray's book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus", shed light on the unique perspectives and challenges faced by both genders in the realm of relationships.
Through open and honest conversations, we explore the fundamental differences in communication styles, emotional needs, and societal expectations that often lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. By acknowledging these disparities, we gain valuable insights into how embracing our differences can actually be the key to nurturing thriving relationships.
We explore the profound impact that societal norms and gender roles have on our interactions, dismantling stereotypes and exploring the true essence of masculinity and femininity. By redefining these concepts, we empower ourselves and our partners to express our authentic selves and create spaces of acceptance and understanding.

At this short episode I am talking about the fear of getting older and how actually we have to embrace it and accept the most natural and inevitable thing in life that is the fact that we are growing older. There is not coincidence that is called "growing" older because we grow mentally, emotionally and physically.
So, instead fighting growth, embrace it and wear your years with pride. You survived!

Hello and thank you for being here once again! It truly means a lot to me to know that there are people there that are relating. Today’s episode is about why “just be yourself” it’s a terrible advice and “I am who I am” an even more terrible response.
So if you want to change something about your current situation, what you can do is slowly reframing those beliefs, and questioning sometimes your own self by starting asking yourself
